고속 연접봉의 응력 변동

  • In the design of high speed machinery, designers must consider the problem of possible structural failure due to excessive dynamically varying stresses, which are induced by the varying external loads and internal inertia forces, in the links of the mechanism. A study of the dynamically induced stresses would indicate what values of the minimum permissible fatigue strength should be for safe mechanism operation. This paper investigates the nature of the stress fluctuation in high speed mechanism on the basis of the effects of both the loads and the friction. The latter is apt to be neglected in the usual analysis in spite of the fact that it is always generated in the operating machinery. The analysis is performed on the coupler of the slider-crank mechanism for illustrative purposes and the results are expressed in a non-dimensional form for design applications.

  • A free space transmission method using standard gain horn antennas in the frequency range from 9.0 to 10.5GHz is applied to determine the dielectric properties of grain such as rough rice, brown rife and barley. The dielectric constant and loss factor, which depend on the moisture content of the wetted grain are obtained from the measured attenuation and phase shift by vector network analyzer. The effect of density fluctuation, which is an important parameter governing the dielectric properties of grain, on the dielectric constant and loss factor is presented. A new density-independent model in terms of measured attenuation and moisture density is proposed for reducing the effects of density fluctuation on the moisture content measurement.

  • It is well known that steam generator water level control at low power operation has many difficulties in a PWR (pressurized water reactor) nuclear power plant. The reverse process responses known as shrink and swell effects make it difficult to control the steam generator water level at low power. A new automatic control logic to remove the reverse process responses is proposed in this paper. It is implemented in PLC (programmable logic controller) and evaluated by using test equipment in Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute. The simulation test shows that the performance requirements is met at low power (below 15%). The water level control by new control logic is stabilized within 1% fluctuation from setpoint, while the water level by YGN 3 and 4 control logic is unstable with the periodic fluctuation of 25% magnitude at 5% power.

  • The theoretical framework of the interaction fields for multiple scales based on field theory is applied to one-dimensional problem mimicking dislocation substructure sensitive intra-granular inhomogeneity evolution under fatigue of Cu-added steels. Three distinct scale levels corresponding respectively to the orders of (A)dislocation substructures, (B)grain size and (C)grain aggregates are set-up based on FE-RKPM (reproducing kernel particle method) based interpolated strain distribution to obtain the incompatibility term in the interaction field. Comparisons between analytical conditions with and without the interaction, and that among different cell size in the scale A are simulated. The effect of interaction field on the B-scale field evolution is extensively examined. Finer and larger fluctuation is demonstrated to be obtained by taking account of the field interactions. Finer cell size exhibits larger field fluctuation whereas the coarse cell size yields negligible interaction effects.

  • Eigenvalue analysis of vibration mode and an analysis by frequency response among the methods of predicting gear noise are related with transmitting sound of vibration. In this study we intended to reduce the vibration noise of differential gear by reducing torque fluctuation of drive pinion shaft which causes vibration noise of differential gear in rear wheel drive vehicles. For this we developed multi-degree of freedom analysis model in which mass moment of inertia and torsional spring combined and we examined the influence of torsional vibration of driveline elements by performing forced vibration analysis of engine excitation torque. We studied the methods for reducing torsional vibration of driveline according to the design factor of propeller shaft and examined the effects reducing vibration in differential gear by applying flexible coupling.

New Density-Independent Model for Measurement of Grain Moisture Content using Microwave Techniques

The dielectric constant and loss factor, which depend on the moisture content of the wetted grain are obtained from the measured attenuation and phase shift by vector network analyzer. The moisture content of grain varied from 11 to 25% based on this wetted condition. The measured values of dielectric constants as a function of moisture density are compared with values of those obtained using he predicted model for estimating dielectric constants of grain. The effect of density fluctuation, high is an important parameter governing the dielectric properties of grain, on the dielectric constant and loss factor is presented. A new density-independent model in terms of measured attenuation an moisture density is proposed of reducing the effects of density fluctuation on the moisture content measurement.

  • Acoustic characteristics in an industrial gas-turbine combustor are numerically investigated by adopting linear acoustic analysis. Spatially non-homogeneous temperature field in the combustor is considered in the numerical calculation and the characteristics are analyzed in view of acoustic instability. Acoustic analysis are conducted in the combustors without and with acoustic resonator, which is one of combustion stabilization devices. It has been reported that severe pressure fluctuation frequently occurs in the adopted combustor, and the measured signal of pressure oscillation is compared with the acoustic-pressure response from the numerical calculation. The numerical results are in a good agreement with the measurement data. In this regard, the phenomenon of pressure fluctuation in the combustor could be caused by acoustic instability. The acoustic effects of the resonators are analyzed in the viewpoints of both the frequency tuning and the damping capacity.

  • Arc-furnace is one of the large loads in the electric power system. When the arc-furnace operates, it may cause a bus voltage fluctuation in the power system, because it consumes a lot of reactive power. In this paper, we simulated this phenomenon by using a PSAF program with on-site measured arc-furnace load. The simulated results show that the fluctuation of bus voltage adjacent the arc-furnace was varied from $4.3%{\sim}7.8%$ the normal voltage because of reactive power consumption by arc-furnace. Therefore, we expect this study will come into use as the basic information on the probability of the demand control

Changes of Regional Homogeneity and Amplitude of Low Frequency Fluctuation on Resting-State Induced by Acupuncture (침자극에 의한 안정성 네트워크 변화를 관찰하기 위한 Regional Homogeneity와 Amplitude of Low Frequency Fluctuation의 변화 비교: fMRI연구)

  • Objectives : Our study aimed to investigate the sustained effects of sham (SHAM) and verum acupuncture (ACUP) into the post-stimulus resting state. Methods : In contrast to previous studies, in order to define the changes in resting state induced by acupuncture, changes were evaluated with a multi-method approach by using regional homogeneity (ReHo) and amplitude of low frequency fluctuation (ALFF). Twelve healthy participants received SHAM and ACUP stimulation right GB34 (Yanglingquan) and the neural changes between post- and pre-stimulation were detected. Results : The following results were found; in both ReHo and ALFF, the significant foci of; left and right middle frontal gyrus, left medial frontal gyrus, left superior frontal gyrus, and right posterior cingulate cortex, areas that are known as a default mode network, showed increased connectivity. In addition, in ReHo, but not in ALFF, brain activation changes in the insula, anterior cingulate cortex, and the thalamus, which are associated with acupuncture pain modulation, were found. Conclusions : In this study, results obtained by using ReHo and ALFF, showed that acupuncture can modulate the post-stimulus resting state and that ReHo, but not ALFF, can also detect the neural changes that were induced by the acupuncture stimulations. Although more future studies with ReHo and ALFF will be needed before any firm conclusions can be drawn, our study shows that particularly ReHo could be an interesting method for future clinical neuroimaging studies on acupuncture.
