  • Oriented strand board(O.S.B) is used in many areas, such as interior and interior finishes of wooden houses, but no cases and studies have been used as flooring materials for flooring boards. In this study, we will examine the quality and performance of the aromatic strands board, which we believe can be substituted for the plywood, and analyze its suitability as a floorboard.

  • There is some recognition that Decoration Wood-based Flooring Board in Korea is a material that inhibits the heat transfer from the substrate to the room. There is a lack of substantial research literature on the surface heat transfer and condition of Decoration Wood-based Flooring Board, which is insufficient to deal with false perceptions. In this study, the purpose of this study is to analyze the surface heat transfer characteristics of Decoration Wood-based Flooring Board and to obtain basic data to cope with recognition.

실물 연소 실험이 진행된 비닐장판의 연소거동 및 탄화 패턴 해석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Analysis of the Combustion Behavior and Carbonization Pattern of Vinyl Flooring on Which a Real-Scale Combustion Test Was Performed)

  • 본 연구에서는 구획된 공간에 비닐장판을 깔고, 인화성 액체 50 ml를 뿌리고 실물 연소 실험을 실시하였다. 연소가 진행될 때의 연소 거동을 실시간 분석하였으며, 탄화된 비닐장판의 표면 및 단면의 탄화 패턴을 해석하였다. 휘발유에 착화되어 화염이 최성기에 도달하면 지속적으로 화염이 일어나는 영역, 간헐적으로 화염이 일어나는 영역, 플룸 영역 등이 형성되는 것을 알 수 있었다. 50 ml의 휘발유가 비닐장판 위에서 연소되는데 약 26 s가 소요되었으며, 달무리 패턴이 형성되는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 등유를 비닐 장판 위에 동일하게 뿌리고, 가스 토치를 이용하여 착화를 시도하였으나 실패하였다. 연소가 완료된 후의 비닐장판의 탄화 범위는 가로 600 mm, 세로 380 mm이며, 탄화 면적은 1,000 ㎟로 분석되었다. 탄화된 비닐장판의 표면은 열에 의해 코팅층이 탄화층으로 변형되어 더욱 딱딱한 것을 알 수 있었다. 그리고 탄화된 비닐장판의 경계면을 실체현미경을 이용하여 단면을 분석한 결과 부풀림 현상이 확인되었고, 코팅층 하부의 흰색 경계층이 없어지는 것을 알 수 있었다.

동물 분변으로 인한 모래 바닥재의 오염실태 및 관리 방안에 관한 연구 - 질소분석방법개발 - (A Study on Pollution Conditions and Management of Sand Flooring Related to Animal Feces - Nitrogen Analysis Method Development -)

  • Objectives: Users of parks or children's play facilities have pointed to pets' bowel movements as the most serious problem when using them. In prior studies, a very low detection rate of parasites (eggs) in sand flooring materials has been found. Even though feces have been identified, no parasites (eggs) have been detected. Method: A standard solution of nitrate nitrogen was used to verify the reliability of a new nitrogen analysis method. The linearity, precision, and accuracy of the nitrate nitrogen analysis method were verified. Using this method, the pollution distribution of the sand flooring material and the degree of pollution at each point were investigated. Results: As a result of the verification of the nitrogen analysis method, the linearity was found to be good at r2=0.999 when distilled water is mixed in a standard substance solution. The standard substance additive solution r2=0.968 was found to be good. Precision represented 0.01 to 0.06% RSD for peak height. The recovery rate was 92.4 to 104.0 percent, indicating high accuracy. According to the same method of analysis, the flooring material sand at a general amusement facility with the largest number of concealed spaces was nitrate nitrogen 6.1 times higher than at the entrance of the playground. Also, in a comparison between clean sand and sandy flooring, the average nitrogen concentration of the sand flooring material was 24.4-167 times higher than pure sand. Conclusions: As such, no parasites (eggs) were detected at all points under investigation, but the sand flooring was exposed to animal fecal contamination. Therefore, the management of nitrogenous components should allow accurate identification of animal fecal contamination so that the timing of sand replacement can be managed hygienically and safely.

건축용 바닥재로부터의 VOCs와 Aldehydes 방출 특성 (Characteristics for VOCs and aldehydes emission rates from architectural flooring)

  • 본 논문은 소형챔버법을 이용해 바닥재 종류에 따른 방출농도특성을 알아보고자 수행되었다. 환경학적 관심사가 높은 개별 휘발성유기화합물(VOC) 및 총휘발성유기화합물(TVOC)을 측정대상물질로 선정하여 HPLC 및 GC/MSD를 이용하여 분석하였다. 바닥재에서 방출된 TVOC 및 포름알데히드(HCHO)의 평균방출농도는 각각 $0.3mg/m^2{\cdot}h$$0.2mg/m^2{\cdot}h$로 나타났으며 37개 바닥재 모두 방출기준을 만족하는 것으로 조사되었다. TVOC 방출농도는 PVC Sheet, PVC Tile, 마루 순으로 나타났으며, 반면 HCHO 방출농도는 PVC 계열보다 마루 제품에서 높게 나타나는 경향을 보였다.

  • Thermal energy storage (TES) systems using Microencapsulated phase change material (MPCM) have been recognized as one of the most advanced energy technologies in enhancing the energy efficiency and sustainability of buildings. We examined a way to incorporate MPCMs with building materials through application for wood-based flooring. Wood-based flooring is commonly used for floor finish materials of residential buildings in Korea. However, wood-based flooring has not performed the characteristic of heat storage. This study is aimed at manufacturing high thermal efficiency wood flooring by increasing its heat storage using MPCM. As a result, this study confirmed that MPCM is dispersed well in adhesive through the scanning electron microscopy analysis. From the differential scanning calorimetry analysis, it can be confirmed that this composite has the characteristic of a thermal energy storage material. Also, we analyzed how this composition was formed by physical combination through the Fourier transform infrared analysis. Also, we confirmed the bonding strength of the material by using the universal testing machine.

마루판용 합판의 단판 구성요소에 따른 열전달 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Heat Transfer of Plywood for Wood Based Flooring by Veneer Composition)

  • Since 1990's, a flooring based on plywood has gotten customers' demand. Costs of raw material and production increased because of changed environment of industry. Tropical timber such as Red Meranti (Shorea acuminate) used for raw material of the floor has been depleting beside countries in South Eastern Asia changed species of afforestation. As a result, it gets hard to secure good quality of raw material for plywood. Moreover plywood price is increased suddenly after earthquake in Japan. Eucalyptus (Eucalyptus globulus) in china has been using for raw material as a countermeasure of changed environment of industry. In this study, possibility of using flooring consisted of Eucalyptus veneer as a core layer was checked by heat transfer experiments. Flooring consisted of Red Meranti was used for comparison. Two factors which impact on heat transfer are a type of density gradient and density difference between Long-grain veneer and Short-grain veneer. Red Meranti samples are 'M' type of density gradient on the other hand Eucalyptus samples are 'W' type of density gradient.

  • Walking passenger injury accidents in and around stations have increased in recent years, and passengers are now more aware of being able to claim compensation for such accidents. Therefore, it is anticipated that station managers and owners will need to take measures to improve the condition of walking areas so that performance objectives are met an the compensation paid for passenger accidents is limited. The aim of this study covers the following: accidents statics and contributory factors, station flooring and footway material, guidance for flooring, and test methods for slipperiness and surface profile.

온돌용 목질마루판의 표면물성 (Surface Properties of Wood-Based Floorings for Under Heating Systems (Ondol))

  • This study was investigated with the surface properties such as physical and accelerated tests of wood-based floorings. In physical test, hardness and abrasion resistance values of laminate floorings were higher than those of others. The center line average surface roughness($R_a$) of imported laminate flooring was highest value($1.34{\mu}m$) and that of imported solid wood flooring was lowest value($0.62{\mu}m$). In cold resistance and moist heat resistance, no defects were found on the surface of all flooring (crack, blistering, peeling, and gloss loss etc.) after testing. Wet-cold-dry cycle test showed that plywood flooring appeared some cracks. In accelerated weathering test, color difference increased with increasing Xenon arc light irradiation

The Coating Performance of UV Curable Urethane Acrylate Coatings for Fancy Veneer Overlayed Plywood Flooring

  • The goal of study was to investigate the influence of the acrylated urethane oligomer on mechanical properties, the chemical resistance and thermal resistance of the UV curable urethane acrylate coatings for fancy veneer overlayed plywood flooring. The pencil hardness and abrasion resistance of the coated fancy veneer overlayed plywood floorings increased with increasing the acrylate functionality of the acrylated urethane oligomer. In the case of the UV cured film containing hexa-functional acrylated aliphatic urethane oligomer, high discoloration of the coated fancy veneer overlayed plywood flooring was observed near the cracks at the beginning of the chemical treatment. In this study, it was found that the degradation of the UV cured film caused by an alkaline reagent was higher than that of the UV cured film caused by an acidic treatment.
