A Study on the Establishment & Functional Characteristics of Health Facilities for the Aged in Japan

  • Various housing measures are needed for the rapidly aging society of Korea. In particular, the welfare policy for the elderly has changed towards the community care. Taking this fact into consideration, it is necessary to have the establishment of a system that offers the elderly appropriate welfare services at their appropriate residence (ageing in place) for the effectiveness of the community care. In this aspect, there are a number of implications to Korea to study merits and demerits of the Health Facilities for the Aged (HFA) in Japan. The society of Japan has been rapidly aging since 1970, and Korea is to face the same situation. As for the data of this study, a total of 2,393 facilities (as of November 1999) mentioned in the annual report of the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare were classified based on types of their establishment: (1) free-standing structures (603 facilities); (2) annexes to hospitals (981 facilities); (3) annexes to welfare facilities (511 facilities); and (4) annexes to clinics (298 facilities). Next, 239 facilities were selected through taking a sample of 10 percent from each type of the HFA mentioned above. This was done through the random sampling method with the computer program of MS EXCEL. The Implications of the results of analyses are as follows. First, most of the health facilities were planned with the scale that was larger than the scale of standard special nursing homes in terms of the total floor area. Precise equations that were to obtain precise results of the scale of the HFA and the appropriate number of residents were obtained through the method of the regression analysis. Korea and Japan have similarities in terms of culture, society and family relations; however, the two countries also have differences in terms of the application of laws on the establishment of houses, hospitals, and welfare facilities. As for planning the scale of the HFA, the realities of Korea should be considered. Second, as for the functional aspect of the HFA with a condition of returning home, the place before and after the HFA showed the pattern of 'from a residential place to a residential place' and 'from a hospital to a hospital.' This reveals a close correlation with the types of the HFAs and operational ways of the facilities. Its cause is considered to be the aspect of the operation and management of the HFA rather than the aspect of its function of providing services in association with medical and health facilities. Therefore, when intermediate welfare facilities are considered in Korea, it is strongly advised to consider the problem of annexes to other facilities and efficiency of sharing of the facilities in terms of its operation and management.

한국(韓國) 공동주택(共同住宅) 변천(變遷)에 관(關)한 고찰(考察) - 근대기(近代期) 아파트의 정착과정(定着過程)을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Alteration of the Collective Housing- in Modern Times, Korea - Focused on the Settled Process of Apartment Housing -)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the changing process of the collective housing in Korea; focusing on the alteration process of the apartment housing, which became a representative housing type in Korea, nowadays. The alteration process of the apartment housing in Korea can be divided into three stages: the introduction stage, the trial stage and the settled stage. The introduction stage is the period between 1920, when the collective-housing buildings were constructed in Korea for the first time, and the Liberation of Korea(1945). The trial stage is the period between 1945 and 1975. During this period, common housing has been constructed. And the massive apartment buildings were started to be supplied after 1975. The settled stage is the period between 1975 and the present. The main scope of this study will be the introduction and trial stages, since a lot of in-depth studies have been executed on the settled stage. The history of the collective housing of Korea starts with City Housing of Seoul, in 1921. It is guessed that this housing was to be small-sized and row-housing type. The first-built, apartment-type building, in Korea, was Mikuni Apartment House, which was constructed as a boarding room of Mikuni Company. In the introduction stage, apartment buildings were built by Japanese architects, with Japanese housing style. Most of them were planned in dormitory type, and some of them were run as tenant houses. Most of them were constructed by bricks, but sometimes by timbers. Tadami was laid in every room and inside-corridor was located in the middle of the house. Although the major style of the apartment buildings was Japanese, the Korean dwellers of those apartments has been influencing the housing type of them. In the trial stage, apartment housing has been experienced in diverse ways. With the development of building technology, floor heating system was settled in apartment housing. This improved the amenities of apartment dwelling remarkably. Although some heterogeneous characteristics still remained in the apartments of Korea, in terms of housing style, the housing style of apartments has been changed into own style of Korea, in accordance with Korean people's life style. The results of this study give us some good implications regarding contemporary housing plan: First, if the unit size of a collective housing is small, the more space could be available for community activities. Second, when planning of collective housing, more concerns should be payed on surroundings. Third, more attention should be payed about low-rise apartment housing, and more land-friendly planning would be required.

순천만 자연생태공원 탐방환경 평가와 개선방안 - 유니버설 디자인 원칙을 중심으로 - (An Visiting Environmental Assessment and Countermeasures for Ecological Park of Sun-Cheon Bay - Focused on a Universal Design Principle -)

  • 본 연구는 유니버설 디자인 관점에서 생태공원의 탐방환경 평가 및 분석을 통해 개선해야 될 사항이 무엇인지를 파악하여 바람직한 생태공원계획에 필요한 기초자료를 제공하고자 진행하였다. 이를 위해서 선행연구, 문헌고찰과 법적 기준을 통해 본 연구에 적합한 조사항목을 선정하여 순천만 자연생태공원에 대한 현장조사를 실시하여 유니버설 디자인 관점에서 문제점 및 개선방안을 도출하였다. 주요 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 생태공원 내 단위시설에서는 모든 시설에서 손잡이가 미설치 되어있어 탐방객의 이동성이 부족하여 이에 대한 보완이 시급한 것으로 조사되었다. 단위시설은 유니버설 디자인측면에서 고려가 되어져 있지만 실제 법적 기준과는 상이한 것으로 조사되어 향후 사용편리성에 초점을 맞추어 세부적인 기준을 반영할 필요가 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 둘째, 존별 탐방구간에서는 전반적으로 시각장애인용 시설은 모두 미설치 되어 있으며, 바닥높이차가 부적합한 것으로 조사되었다. 이는 장애인과 노약자의 독립적인 탐방활동을 제약하는 것으로 분석되었다. 이는 법적 기준이 단위시설중심으로 이루어져 있어 생태공원과 같은 넓은 장소에 적용 가능한 기준이 부족한 것으로 판단된다. 따라서 공원과 같은 대규모 활동공간에 알맞은 유니버설 디자인 기준을 마련해야 할 필요성이 있는 것으로 사료된다. 마지막으로 단위시설에 대한 보완도 중요하지만 생태공원내 체험활동공간에 있어 유니버설 디자인을 적용할 수 있는 지침을 마련하는 것도 병행하여야 할 것이다.

미사강변도시 단독주택지의 주차공간과 가구의 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Parking Space and Space of Detached Housing Area in Misagangbyeon-City)

  • 미사강변도시 단독주택지에 적용되는 지구단위계획지침이 지역의 특성을 고려하지 않은 부분과 기존의 자치조례에 준하고 있어 이로 인하여 단독주택지의 환경을 악화시키고 있는 것으로 조사되었다. 조사결과 1)미사강변도시의 경우 지역 내의 공동주택(아파트)에 대한 디자인 가이드라인은 디테일하게 규정하고 있는 반면에 단독주택지의 주택건축에 대한 디자인 가이드라인이 계획되어 있지 않다. 2)공동주택과 다가구주택에 대한 주차대수 산정에 대한 형평성과 다가구주택이 단독주택으로 분류됨에 따른 주차장 법규의 미비로 인한 문제로 주거환경이 악화되고 있다. 3)지구단위계획지침에 따라 1층 근생의 외벽재료를 유리로 규정하고 있고 협소한 주차공간으로 유리외벽에 인접하여 주차하는 경우 위험성에 대한 대비가 필요하다. 4)초등학교, 유치원이 위치하고 있음에도 불구하고 주차부족 등 차량의 혼잡도가 높아 통학 학생들에게 많은 위험성이 있다. 5)주차장 넓이를 고려하지 않은 가구계획과, 지역의 특성을 고려하지 않은 주차장법 적용으로 여러 문제점이 발생하고 있다. 6)보행자 전용도로가 보행자의 동선을 고려하지 않고 계획되어 타용도로 전용되고 있다.

소양면 지역사회 환경기초조사 (A Basie Community Health Survey in Rural Korea (Soyang-Myun))

  • 1. Introduction Community medicine with the concept of comprehensive medical care and an ideal medical care delivery system not only for an individual or family but for the whole community has emerged. In April 1970, the Presbyterian Medical Center started a hospital based community health service project in order to improve the health of the people in rural areas. Prior to commencing a comprehensive medical care system, a family survey was needed. The major objective of this survey was to obtain information concerning the people and their environment so as to be able to plan and implement a comprehensive medical care program in Soyang-Myun. 2. Survey Method An interview using a family record form was carried out for each household. This family record form was designed to get information about demography, family planning, environmental sanitation and vital statistics. Prior to beginning, the members of the survey team were trained in interviewing techniques for three days. The team consisted of a public health nurse, four nurse-aides, a sanitarian and four health extension workers who are working in our project, The survey was carried out during the period November 1971 to March 1972. 3. Project area 1) Population of Soyang-Myun was 11,668; male, 5,962 and female, 5,706. 부지 협소 초등학교의 공간 조성 방안 연구를 위한 학교 시설 이용 실태 조사 - 서울특별시 소재 초등학교를 중심으로 - (The survey on the patterns of school facilities usages for studying a space improvement plan of elementary school on narrow sites - Focused on elementary schools in Seoul -)

  • 이 연구에서는 부지 협소 초등학교 건축 계획 지침에 주는 시사점을 도출하기 위하여 서울특별시에 위치한 부지 협소 초등학교 두 곳의 교직원을 대상으로 면담을 실시하여 현존하는 부지 협소 초등학교의 문제점과 신설 부지 협소 초등학교 시설에 대한 요구를 조사하였다. 조사 결과, 부지 협소 초등학교에 설치된 운동장 대용 공간들은 신체 놀이 활동과 체육 수업 및 기타 교육과정 운영에 적합하지 않은 것으로 밝혀졌다. 이에 교직원들은 초등학교에 적합한 신체 활동 공간 확보를 위하여 학교 건물의 한 층 전체나 옥상 전체를 체육 활동 공간화 할 것을 요구하고 있었다. 또한 부지 협소 초등학교에는 소음 발생, 특별실 부족, 공용 공간 부족 등의 문제가 발생하고 있었는데 이 문제는 부지가 협소한 학교에 과밀한 학생이 수용됨으로써 악화되고 있으므로 부지 협소 초등학교의 경우에 적정 수의 학생이 유지될 수 있도록 하는 정책을 필요로 한다.

창호에 SHGC를 반영한 공동주택의 방위각별 에너지 효율성 평가를 통한 합리적인 창호 계획 방안 연구 (A Study on the optimized Performance Designing of the Window of the Apartment based on the Annual Energy Demand Analysis according to the Azimuth Angle applying the Solar Heat Gain Coefficient of the Window)

  • It is important to design windows in a reasonable way considering the performance characteristics of the elements of the window rather than just to increase the thermal energy performance of the window. In this study, the Heat-transfer Coefficient as insulation performance of the windows and together with the grade of the glass's SHGC (Solar Heat Gain Coefficient) were analyzed to relate to the energy efficiency performance of the building by azimuth angle. Based on this basic study, the Heat-transfer Coefficient of windows and the SHGC rating of glass were applied to the unit plan of apartment building, and the Heating and Cooling Demand were analyzed by azimuth angle. Apartment plan types were divided into 2 types of Non-extension and extension of balcony. The designPH analysis data derived from the variant of the Heat-transfer Coefficient and SHGC, were put into PHPP(Passive House Planning Package) to analyze precisely the energy efficiency(Heating and Cooling Demands) of the building by azimuth angle. In addition, assuming the 'ㅁ' shape layout, energy efficiency performance and potential of PV Panel installation also were analyzed by floors and azimuth angle, reflecting the shading effects by surrounding buildings. As the results of the study, the effect of Heat Gain by SHGC was greater than Heat Loss due to the Heat-transfer Coefficient. So it is more effective to increase SHGC to satisfy the same Heating Demand, and increasing SHGC made possible to design windows with low Heat-transfer Coefficient. It was also revealed that the difference in annual Heating and Cooling Demands between the low, mid and high floor households is significantly high. In addition to it, the installation of PV Panel in the form of a shading canopy over the window reduces the Cooling Load while at the same time producing electricity, and also confirmed that absolute thermal energy efficiency could not be maximized without controlling the thermal bridge and ventilation problems as important heat loss factors.

메타버스에서의 공간 형태 구성에 관한 연구 - 커뮤니케이션 게임 가상세계 '모여봐요 동물의 숲'을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Spatial Configuration in the Metaverse - Focusing on Communication Game Virtual Worlds's 'Animal Crossing' -)

  • 앨빈토플러는 미래사회가 속도를 맞추는 동시화가 중요하다고 언급하면서 시간의 편차가 사회 발전을 저해할 수 있다고 했다. 우리는 언택트라는 뉴노멀 시대를 겪으면서 비대면 접촉의 증가와 디지털 전환 가속화를 경험했다. 이러한 빠른 변화 속에서 공간에도 동시화 즉 변화의 필요성을 견지해볼 수 있다. 이에 사람들이 어떤 정주지를 만들고 선택하는지에 대해서 연구해 보고자 한다. 이를 간접적으로 나마 알아볼 수 있는 대상으로 메타버스를 살펴보았다. 메타버스 공간 형태와 관련된 자료를 수집하기 위해 "동물의 숲"이라는 콘텐츠를 활용했다. 표본추출은 비확률적 표본추출 중 판단추출 방법을 활용하여 게임의 진행에 따른 차이를 완화하였다. 수집한 자료들을 평면 형태와 입지 형태에 따라 분류하고, 기술 통계를 통해 간략하게 정리했다. 각 시설들을 용도별로 매칭한 후 군집별로 좌표를 설정하여 목록화하여 데이터를 구축했다. 이 데이터를 군집별로 좌표평면상에 그래픽으로 나타내어 해석하고, 유클리디안 분석을 실시해 군집별 관계와 거주지 선택에 관해 유클리디안 행렬로 분석했다. 분석결과 유사 기능을 근접배치해 효율성을 추구하는 것으로 해석할 수 있었으며, 그럼에도 불구하고 거주지 선택에 있어서는 효율성이나 편리함이 아닌 주민들과의 인접 배치를 통해 커뮤니티를 이루고자 하는 것으로 해석되었다. 메타버스와 현실세계의 다름으로 인해 이를 현실과 동일시하기에는 한계가 있을 것으로 예상한다. 그러나 현실의 제약에서 멀어진 사람들이 가상세계에 표출한 공간을 통해 우리가 인지하지 못함으로 인해 명시하지 못한 바람을 간접적으로 알 수 있다.

술전ㆍ후 상악동염환자와 정상인의 상악동 크기 및 골벽두께에 관한 전산화단층방사선학적 연구 (A Computed Tomographic Study on the Size and Bone Wall Thickness of the Maxillary Sinus in Normal, Preoperative and Postoperative Maxillary Sinusitis Patients)

  • Purpose : To compare the size and bone wall thickness of the maxillary sinus in normal, preoperative and postoperative maxillary sinusitis patients. Materials and Methods : The author analyzed CT images of both left and right maxillary sinuses in 357 patients who visited Chonbuk National University Hospital between January 1997 and December 1998. The size and bone wall thickness of the maxillary sinus of normal, inflammatory and post-Caldwell-Luc groups were compared. Results: The significant differences of transverse, maximum medio-lateral, maximum supero-inferior dimensions and medio-lateral dimension at nasal floor level between normal and post-Caldwell-Luc groups were found (P<0.05). And the significant differences of antero-posterior dimensions between inflammatory and post-Caldwell-Luc group were found (P<0.05). But, no significant differences of vertical height dimensions between groups was found (P>0.05). The significant differences of postero-lateral, infero-lateral and medial wall thickness between normal and post-Caldwell-Luc groups were found (P<0.05). Conclusion : The results of this study will aid in the diagnosis and treatment of maxillary sinus diseases and post operative treatment planning.

난방기 출력에 따른 철도차량 객실 내부 온도 분포 분석 (Study on the Temperature Distribution of Cabin under Various Car Heating Modes)

  • 최근 기후변화에 따른 이상 기상현상이 증가하고 있는데, 특히 동절기의 혹한은 승객의 열적 쾌적성을 크게 저하할 우려가 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 철도차량 실대형 환경챔버를 이용하여 저온 조건에서 철도차량의 난방장치 가동시 객실 내부의 온도변화 및 분포를 알아보았다. 실험결과 난방시스템 가동 직후에는 객실 내부온도가 급격하게 증가하였으나, 일정 시간 경과 후에는 더 이상 증가하지 않았으며, 객실의 위쪽이 아래쪽보다 온도가 더 높게 나타났다. 이러한 결과들을 통해 승객의 온열 쾌적감 저하를 최소화할 수 있는 방안을 제시하고자 하였다.
