염소 누출 사고사례연구를 통한 Flexible hose 설계 및 관리 방안 고찰 (Consideration on Design and Management of Flexible Hose through the Case Study of Chlorine Leak)

  • 2018년 울산에서 Flexible hose의 파단으로 발생한 염소 누출사고를 분석하여 국내 설계 및 관리 기준을 제시하기 위한 연구를 수행하였다. 누출 사고가 발생한데는 다양한 원인이 있지만, 본 논문에서는 직접적 원인인 Flexible hose의 파단을 분석하는데 초점을 맞추었다. 분석 결과, 사고가 발생한 사업장에서 염소 이송에 사용하는 Flexible hose 는 재질 및 사용 두께 측면에서 부적절 했고, 사용 전 압력 테스트도 운전압력 이하에서 하는 등 문제가 있었다. 설문조사를 통하여 염소를 취급하는 울산지역의 다섯 곳의 사업장을 확인한 결과, 한 곳을 제외하고 염소 이송에 부적절한 Flexible hose를 사용하고 있었다. 현재 염소 이송용 Flexible hose의 설계에 대한 국내 기준이 없어 사용하는 Flexible hose의 적정성을 검토하는데 어려움이 있다. 본 연구를 통하여 국내에 적용할 수 있는 염소 이송용 Flexible hose의 설계 기준을 제시하였다. 본 논문에서 제시한 기준을 설계 및 검토에 적용한다면 염소 이송 시 발생할 수 있는 Flexible hose 파단의 위험성을 경감시키는데 기여할 것이다.

  • Flexible hydraulic hose assembly that consists of hose and joints is used widely on various construction heavy equipments, agricultural machines, motor vehicles, and industrial heavy machines that require flexibility on hydraulic pipelines. It is classified by the maximum usage pressure which is determined by the winding layers of coiling steel wire and the inner diameter of the hoses. In this paper, we designed and performed an accelerated life test for assessing the reliability of a flexible hydraulic hose assembly. In the proposed accelerated life test, typical impulse pressure testing method is applied with the half omega flexing operation to simulate the practical flexing motion of the hose assembly.

  • 모함에 연결되어 통신 케이블의 가이드 역할을 하는 탄성 호스는 모함의 운동 조건을 결정하는 중요한 인자이다. 길이가 수 십 미터에 달하는 탄성 호스를 실제 상황에서 실험을 하기에는 어려움이 있으므로 해석을 통해 거동 특성을 분석하고자 한다. 탄성 호스는 곡률 반경에 대한 변형뿐만 아니라 축 방향에 대한 변형도 발생하므로, 축 방향에 대한 변형 구배가 좌표계에서 유도되는 절대 절점 좌표계로 모델링하였으며, 연속체 역학 개념을 도입함으로써 대변형 효과를 표현하도록 하였다. 탄성 호스의 끝 단에 연결된 모함은 강체 모델로 표현하였고, 조향각에 의해 운동이 결정되도록 하였다. 또한, 수중에서 호스가 거동할 때 발생하는 유체 저항력을 고려함으로써 수중에서의 탄성 호스 거동 특성을 분석 하였다.

  • An analyzing method for pressure fluctuations in oil hydraulic pipe network was developed in this study. The object pipe network has multi-branch configuration, and the pipelines of it are composed of metal tubes and flexible hoses. Transfer matrix method, in other words impedance method, was used for the analysis. Values of physical parameters describing the characteristics of flexible hose were measured by experiments and reflected to the analysing procedure. The reliability and usefulness of the analyzing method were confirmed by investigating computed results and experimental results got in this study.

해양광물자원 개발을 위한 사류형펌프의 내부유동 해석 (Internal Flow Analysis on a Mixed Flow Pump for Developing Marine Mineral Resources)

  • The development of lifting pumps that lift minerals to a mining vessel are one of the vital parts of the commercial mining process. The purpose of this study is to investigate internal flow and its effect on the performance of a mixed flow pump in order to improve the pump's performance. Numerical analysis was performed by commercial code of ANSYS CFX-11 based on flow rate and length of flexible hose. The rated rotational speed of the impeller is 1750rpm. For taking into account the turbulence, k-$\omega$ SST model was selected to guarantee more accurate prediction of flow separation. The simulated results are in good agreement with the experimental results and showed that its efficiency and the head of the pump are related mainly to the flow rate and the length of flexible hose. A lesser flow rate caused more secondary flow through the guide vane passage. The length of flexible hose and flow rate exert much more influence on the pump's performance than the shape of the flexible hose.

  • 한국형발사체 및 시험발사체에 대한 지상 운용을 위해서는 우주센터 종합조립동 내에 여러 가지 지상지원장비가 필요하다. 여러 가지 지상지원장비 중 발사체 접속장치와 고압유연배관은 지상의 고압가스 공급장비와 발사체 사이에 고압배관 연결을 위해 필수적인 장비이다. 본 논문에서는 고압가스 연결을 위해 필요한 발사체 접속장치와 고압유연배관에 대한 개요와 개발 진행 상황에 대해 소개하고자 한다.

  • A concrete docking hose of pump car's boom pipe line have been used in many construction sites. They are long structures with continuous cornering, similar to a trunk of the elephant, characterized by a very high pressure resistance of 20MPa. They need flexible materials and structure in order to move the hose smoothy. But commercial concrete hose is hard to handle and heavy owing to adaption of steel reinforcement. In this study, it is tried an experimental approach to the characteristic of inner rubber layer and abrasion resistance. Also, we are investigated the bursting pressure according to the reinforcement of the hose and propose the usefulness of the hose reinforced with high strengthened aramid fiber.

튜너 내장 자동차 조향호스의 해석 모델과 실용적 응용 (On the Analytical Model of Automotive Steering Hoses Containing Tuner and Its Practical Application)

  • This study presents an analytical model of an automotive steering hose containing tuner(flexible spiral metal tube) to reduce the ripple pressure induced by steering vane pump. The double-wall side branch composed in a steering hose containing tuner was analogically considered as a filter in a conduit. Specialized test equipment was manufactured for the estimation of speed of sound in a conduit and measurement of amplitude ratio between the propagated ripple pressures of inlet and outlet of the steering hose. Experimental data of entire frequency ranges can be obtained through the test once in short time. The results of three points' measurement method and cross-correlation method to estimate the speeds of sound in a hose, tuner, and side branch respectively reveal that cross-correlation method can be used practically. The results of simulation and experiment were so close, especially in the range of engine idling speed, that the proposed analytical model in this study was validated. Sensitivity analyses and experiments show that longer tuner is preferable, and that the positive-positive composition of the steering hoses containing tuner is superior to others to attenuate ripple pressure.

  • In this paper, to improve the efficiency of pressurized pneumatic grit conveying for ship block open blasting process. Pressurized pneumatic grit conveying is defined as the transportation of grit(abrasive) in a compressed air flow. Total Pressure loss in flexible hose for pneumatic conveying is sum of pressure losses due to gas and grit and needle type pressure transmitter for measured pressure loss. haracteristics of grit open blasting by pneumatic conveying were studied experimentally. Studies variables were blasting nozzle ID, length and ID of flexible hose, grit flow rate, flow rate and pressure of transport air. It was experimentally proved that optimal open blasting condition and cost effective operation regarding grit blasting, obtaining a high qulity surface preparation(Sa $2^{\frac{1}{2}}$).

자동차 동력조향용 유압호스의 압력맥동 감쇠특성 (Attenuation Characteristics of Fluid-Borne Pressure Ripple in Automotive Power Steering Hydraulic Hoses)

  • This paper presents experimental investigations on the attenuation characteristics of pressure ripple in automotive power steering hydraulic hoses. Also, a mathematical model of hydraulic hoses is proposed to support design of the power steering hydraulic circuit and analyze the attenuation characteristics of pressure ripples. The experimental results show that the pulsation attenuation characteristics of hydraulic hoses is remarkably affected by the flexible metal tube inserted coaxially inside a hydraulic hose with a finite length as well as viscoelastic properties of hose wall. It is also shown that the predicted results by the model proposed here agree well with the measured results over a wied range of frequency.
