회전 핀의 종동 하중에 따른 박판 스프링의 대변형에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Large Deflection of Flat Spring Subjected to Follower Load by a Rotating Pin)

  • The mechanical spring is one of widely used machine elements. Among various kinds, flat-type spring loaded by a rotating pin was studied. A flat spring was simplified to a cantilever beam, and numerical analysis was attempted. Since the loading pin rotates about a separate axis from the fixed spring or vice versa, the location, direction, and magnitude of the contact force including normal contact and friction loads vary accordingly. Meanwhile, the spring is deformed substantially as the relative motion progresses. Therefore, this problem needs to be formulated taking the follower loading characteristics and geometrical non-linearity into account. Derived nonlinear differential equation was solved to yield the spring deflection, contact force and the torque to rotate the pin, and the result was compared with a finite element solution. Also, the influences of principal design parameters were studied. The proposed methodology is expected to be useful for the design of pin-loaded flat spring and the prevention of mechanical failures in the form of yielding or fatigue failure of spring or severe wear of the components.

임의의 누름압 분포를 나타내는 플랫형 블레이드 스프링 레일의 곡면 형상 (Study on the Profile of Body Spring in the Flat Type Wiper Blade for an Intended Contact Pressure Distribution)

  • An analytical procedure to determine a proper profile of the spring rail that generates intended contact pressure distribution in the flat wiper blade is introduced. The flat wiper blade is one piece blade and subjected to pressing force at a center point. In this type of blade, contact pressure distribution in the tip of rubber strip is determined by the pressing force, the initial profile of the blade before contact and bending stiffness of the blade. Experimentally obtained bending stiffness of the blade assembly is almost identical to that of the spring rail. Principle of reciprocity has been used to define the initial profile of spring rail from the deformed profile that is assumed to be identical to the windshield glass profile. The procedure has been verified experimentally by measuring the contact pressure of the blade assembled with the spring rail designed by the procedure proposed here. Measured contact pressure distributions of the blades show good agreements with intended distributions over the entire blade span. Consequently, it can be concluded that proposed procedure has relatively good accuracy in developing the spring rail for flat blade having a specific contact pressure distribution.

균일 분포하중을 주는 플렛와이퍼 스프링레일의 곡면형상식 유도 (The Curve Equation of a Flat Wiper Spring Rail Inducing Uniformly Distributed Loads)

  • Recently, the flat wiper which is one piece wiper and subjected to a pressing force at a single center point is gaining wide applications on automotive windshields. However, nonuniform reactive pressure distributions takes place, so that wiping is not completed at such locations. The wiping performance of the flat wiper is best when a wiper and a curved windshield have perfect contact without gaps under the specified pressing force of 13 ~ 15 gf/cm. Therefore, it is necessary that the realistic curvature equation of a wiper spring-rail should be obtained. Finite element analysis, CATIA script-macro function, and the least square method were utilized to find out the curvature of a spring-rail for a perfect contact with a windshield under a specified concentrated load. The curvature equation became the third order polynomial.

비식생 갯벌 표층과 대기의 이산화탄소 플럭스 계절 변동 분석: 벌교 갯벌 (Seasonal Variation of Carbon Dioxide Flux between Soil Surface Layer and Atmosphere in Unvegetated Tidal Flat : Beolgyo Tidal Flat)

  • In this study, we analyzed seasonal variations in carbon dioxide fluxes, concentrations, and soil temperatures over three years in unvegetated tidal flats in the Beolgyo area. We also investigated the correlations between carbon dioxide fluxes and influencing factors. The average carbon dioxide flux was positive in summer and autumn but negative in winter and spring. A positive correlation was observed between carbon dioxide flux and soil temperature in spring whereas a negative correlation was noted in summer. In summer and autumn, as the soil temperature increased, the carbon dioxide flux decreased. In contrast, in spring and winter, as the soil temperature decreased, the carbon dioxide flux increased. Overall, this study reveals the significant influence of soil temperatures on carbon dioxide fluxes between the surface layer of the tidal flat and atmosphere.

자갈궤도용 침목방진패드의 수직 스프링강성 시험기법에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Spring Stiffness Test Method of under Sleeper Pad for Ballasted Track)

  • Ballasted gravel will be damaged or worn by the repetitive train load. And these damages of ballast gravel could be increased by increasing vehicle speed. Therefore, various techniques for reducing the ballast pressure have been proposed, such as the attached pad type of sleeper bottom for ballasted track. In this study, spring stiffness test method were proposed to evaluate the performance of under sleeper pad for ballasted track. Standard ballast plate(SBP) was developed to simulate the ballast gravel and compared with the foreign test results. Experimental results showed a trend similar to the previous studies according to various loading plate type. specimen type(Type A, Type B) differences in spring stiffness according to hardness were not significant. Also, the FSP (Flat steel plate) - shaped jig is about 80% of the spring stiffness was greater than SBP. Therefore, to evaluate the actual spring stiffness of under sleeper pad for ballasted track, it was important to adopted the appropriate spring stiffness test method using the SBP to simulate actual field conditions.

  • This study examined the effects of the testing temperature on the mechanical properties of the stainless steels (STS301CSP-3/4H and STS301CSP-H) for flat spring. Hardness test and fatigue test were performed at room temperature (2$0^{\circ}C$ Tensile testandcreeptestwere performed attemperature range 2$0^{\circ}C$~10$0^{\circ}C$. The micro-victors hardness values of STS301CSP-3/4H and STS301CSP-H were HV=443 and HV=488. respectively. The Elastic modulus, tensile strength, yield strength and strain of these materials were decreased with increasing testing temperature. respectively. The maximum creep strain for 100hr atcreep temperature (10$0^{\circ}C$~20$0^{\circ}C$ and creep stress (Tensile strength$\times$50%) of these materials were 0.53%~0.58%. The fatigue limit of STS301CSP-3/4H and STS301CSP-H were 64.5Kgf/mm$^2$ and 67.4Kgf/mm$^2$, respectively.

박판 스프링용 탄소공구강대(SK5M)의 기계적 성질에 미치는 뜨임 온도의 영향 (The Effects of the Tempering Temperatures on the Mechanical Properties of the Carbon Tool Steel(SK5M) for Flat Spring)

  • This study examined the effects of the tempering temperatures($360-420^{\circ}C$) on the mechanical properties of the carbon tool steel (SK4M) for flat spring. Hardness test, tensile test and fatigue test were performed at room temperature($20^{\circ}C$). The tensile strength and yield strength of $390^{\circ}C\;and\;420^{\circ}C$ tempered SK5M were 0.93-0.97 times and 0.81-0.87 times those of $360^{\circ}C$ tempered SK5M, respectively. The fatigue limit of $360-420^{\circ}C$ tempered SK5M were 35-40% of tensile strength of $360-420^{\circ}C$ tempered SK5M, respectively.

  • This study examined the effects of the testing temperature on the mechanical properties of the carbon tool steel (SK4M) for flat spring. Hardness test and fatigue test were performed at room temperature ($20^{\circ}C$). Tensile test and creep test were performed at temperature range $20^{\circ}C$ ~$160^{\circ}C$. The micro-vickers hardness values of SK4M was Hv=584. The Elastic modulus, tensile strength and yield strength of SK4M at 160t test temperature were decreased 0.92 time, 0.97 time and 0.82 time those of SK4M at 2$0^{\circ}C$ test temperature, respectively. The maximum creep strain for 100hr at creep temperature ($80^{\circ}C$ ~$160^{\circ}C$) and creep stress ($37.4Kgf/\textrm{mm}^2$ ~$93.6Kgf/\textrm{mm}^2$) was 0.572%. The fatigue limit of SK4M was $94Kgf/\textrm{mm}^2$.

텐션 컨트롤러 스프링의 구조해석 (Structural Analysis of Tension Controller Spring)

  • 본 논문에서는 Flexible Flat Cable을 생산하는 기계에서 작업시 텐션양을 조절하는 콘트롤러에 대해 하중과 모멘트를 변화시켜 적용하고 또한 텐션 콘트롤러 각각의 하중이 프레임에 집중할 때 처짐량을 알기 위하여 ANSYS로 구조해석을 수행하였다. 해석 결과로는 응력, 변형률과 최대변형량을 구하여 구조적 타당성을 검토하고 이를 설계에 반영한다.
