모드 확장 기법을 이용한 평판의 진동.소음 해석 (Noise and Vibration Analysis of a Flat Plate by using Modal Expansion Technique)

  • To predict the radiating noise from the vibrating surface, it is required to know the velocity distribution of vibrating surface exactly as possible as it can. Although it can be obtained by finite element method, their accuracy is limited by theuncertainty of preparing input data such as material propoerties, damping, excitation, and the actual boundary conditions. Experimental values are accurate but are seldom available as many asthe data points compared to FEM mesh. Therefore, hybrid method of experiment and finite element method, called modal expansion technique, is investigated for the preparatin of accurate element method at specified frequencies and for the verification of this scheme, related experiment is performed. In high frequency range above 2000 Hz, piezo-electric material is used as an actuator.

  • With the life style changing and the income level improving in our society, the composition of apartment residents and the preference are diversifying. For that reason, various residential plans are desired. However in bearing wall system the existing apartments have a clear attribute of a fixed system, consequently, they have a difficulty in being adapted to the social requirement. In this research, 1 would like to put a variable apartment to practical use in which with a suitable structure system applied to a variable apartment considered as remodeling system various residential requirements are accepted and the change of the family life cycle and moreover, effective and systematic remodeling are accomplished.

실험모달데이터를 사용한 구분모두 합성법의 개선 (Improved component mode synthesis method using experimental obtained modal data)

  • This paper presents systematic study of the experimental application of a free-interfaced component mode synthesis method. In the free-interfaced component mode synthesis method, an error the to truncated higher modes and neglected ineria loadings on a component from the connected component is inherent. Also, it is difficult to directly use experimental modal data in a modal synthesis method which links experimental model to finite-element model because of many inconsistencies between experimentally obtained and analytically obtained modal vectors and missing degrees-of-freedom (DOFs) such as rotational DOFs. In order to solve these problems, three methods, the first one based on attaching auxiliary weights to the connection points, the second one utillizing the normalization of experimental modal vector, and the third one generating smoothed and expanded experimental mode shapes, are studied in this paper. Finally, the study is illustrated for a flat-plate structure by using simulated and measured experimental data.

  • An acoustic finite element model of a bridge is developed to evaluate the noise generated by the traffic-induced vibration of the bridge. The dynamic response of a multi-girder bridge, modeled by a 3-dimensional frame element model, is analyzed with a 3-axle 8 DOFs truck model and a 5-axle 13 DOFs semi-trailer. The flat plate element is used to analyze the acoustic pressure due to the fluid-structure interactions between the vibrating surface and contiguous acoustic fluid medium. The radiation fields of noise with a specified distribution of vibrating velocity and pressure on the structural surface are also computed using the Kirchhoff-Helmholtz integral. Although the noise produced by the bridge vibration is not serious in itself, which is below the audible frequency range, it should be considered as an interaction problem between vehicle noise and bridge vibration noise in order to evaluate the traffic noise around the bridge.

  • The CFT(Concrete Filled Tube) system has been developed to behave well in a structural performance such as stiffness, stress, ductility, fire resistance that is derived from its mechanical advantages of composite structure. There were number of studies about unprotected CFT columns for improving their fire resistance through reinforcing bars or plates being placed inside the steel tube. It was also known that reinforcing plates of flat type need stiffeners in a certain distance to avoid their buckling failure so it cost as much as their using consequentially. This paper is planned to test the work of beam elements attached inner side of CFT depending on its shape. More discussions on beam's design could be followed after some fire tests accordingly conducted within this project.

  • A computational study of supersonic flow around lateral jet controlled missile has been performed. For this study, three dimensional Navier-Stokes code(AADL3D) has been developed. Spalart-Allmaras one equation turbulence model has been implemented on the AADL3D code for relatively rapid computational time. For the validation of developed code, AADL3D, pressure distributions on an ogive-cylinder body has been compared with experimental data. Also, the shock structure of sonic jet on the flat plate in the supersonic flow field has been compared with experimental flow visualization result to see the analysis capability of freestream-jet interaction case. A case study has been performed through comparing the normal force coefficient and the moment coefficient of missile body for several jet flow conditions. Current results will be used to the optimum design of a lateral jet controlled missile.

평판 상에서 경사 분류열 부근의 유동에 대한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study of Flow Near a Flat Plate Around a Row of Inclined Jets)

  • An experimental method, based upon wall visualizations, has been developed to observe air flow near a plane wall around a row of five $45^{\circ}$ inclined jets discharging into a cross stream. This study concerns the variation of injection rate R which is one of the most important parameters governing this flow type. The Results are concentrated on the spatial evolution of two lobes with R. These structures are fastened to jets downstream edge and exist for very low injection rate values which are an indication of jets takeoff at the immediate downstream of injection orifices. The velocity rate of 0.42 marks a change in the structure alimentation system.

태양열난방장치 설계를 위한 f-chart 개발 (Development of f-chart for the Design of Solar Heating Systems)

  • The new f-chart capable of estimating long-term thermal performance of solar space and water heating systems was developed. The system comprise a flat plate solar collector, heat exchanger, storage tank filled with water, auxiliary fuel fired heater, and a house structure. The information obtained from many simulations of solar heating systems has been used to develop this f-chart. Actual hourly meteorological data collected in Seoul, Daejeon, Kwangju and Daegu, Korea from 1979 to 1983 have been utilized in these simulations. The new f-equation is as follows: $$f=1.034Y_{-}0.0968X_{-}0.2235Y^2+0.0043X^2+0.0144Y^3$$. The system performance estimates obtained from the developed f-chart are in close agreement with the results of experiment.

열처리 방법에 따른 카본전극 페로브스카이트 태양전지의 특성 변화 (Properties of the carbon electrode perovskite solar cells with various annealing processes)

  • 카본 전극 페로브스카이트 태양전지의 광활성층을 형성하는데 열판, 오븐, 쾌속열처리로 방법을 달리하며 이때 광전기적 특성과 미세구조 변화를 확인하였다. Glass/FTO/compact TiO2/meso TiO2/meso ZrO2/perovskite/carbon electrode 구조의 페로브스카이트 태양전지 소자를 열판 공정, 오븐 공정, RTA(rapid thermal annealing) 공정을 이용하여 준비하였다. 이때 광전기적 특성과 미세구조를 solar simulator와 광학현미경, 장발산주사전자현미경을 이용하여 각 소자의 특성을 분석하였다. 광전기적 특성 분석 결과, RTA 공정을 이용하여 제작한 소자에서 가장 우수한 광전기적 특성을 확인할 수 있었다. 미세구조 분석 결과 열판 공정과 오븐 공정으로 제작한 시편은 카본 전극 상부에 과잉 페로브스카이트 상이 형성되고, RTA 공정으로 제작한 시편에서는 시편 상부에 과잉 페로브스카이트 상 없이, 균일한 페로브스카이트가 형성된 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 단면 미세구조에서는 RTA 공정으로 제작한 소자가 다공성 카본 전극 층에 고밀도의 페로브스카이트 층을 형성하여 우수한 광전기적 특성을 나타내었다. 따라서 대면적 소자 제작의 공정시간을 고려한 새로운 열처리방안으로 RTA 방법의 채용 가능성을 확인하였다.

Numerical analysis of reaction forces in blast resistant gates

  • Blast resistant gates are required to be lightweight and able to mitigate extreme loading effect. This may be achieved through innovative design of a gate and its supporting frame. The first is well covered in literature while the latter is often overlooked. The design of supporting frame depends mainly on the boundary conditions and corresponding reaction forces. The later states the novelty and the aim of this paper, namely, the analysis of reaction forces in supporting structure of rectangular steel gates subjected to "far-field explosions". Flat steel plate was used as simplified gate structure, since the focus was on reaction forces rather than behaviour of gate itself. The analyses include both static and dynamic cases using analytical and numerical methods to emphasize the difference between both approaches, and provide some practical hints for engineers. The comprehensive study of reaction forces presented here, cover four different boundary conditions and three length to width ratios. Moreover, the effect of explosive charge and stand-off distance on reaction forces was also covered. The analyses presented can be used for a future design of a possible "blast absorbing supporting frame" which will increase the absorbing properties of the gate. This in return, may lead to lighter and more operational blast resistant gates.
