IMPROIVING THE PERFORMANCE OF STREAMLINED BOATS BY ENAMEL COATING

  • A study was conducted to evaluate the effect of enamel coating on boat hull drag. The results were compared with drag required for varnished uncoated boats. Models of rice barge and fishing boat were used in this study. The speed range of 0.6 to 1.5㎧ at different loads varying from 6 to 9 kg for rice barge and 4.6 to 6.4kg for fishing boats were used during testing. The total weight of the coated and uncoated boats were kept the same. It was observed that the drag force required by the coated boats was less than identical uncoated ones at all speeds and loads. For both uncoated and coated the drag required increased with speed. The maximum recorded reductions in drag were 26% for the rice barge and 28% for the fishing boat model.

태양광 보조전원을 설치한 소형선박의 타당성 연구 (A Study on the Feasibility of Installing Solar Auxiliary Power for Small Fishing Boats)

  • 대한민국의 낚시산업은 레저활동을 즐기는 인구 증가로 인해 매년 급성장하고 있으며 이에따라 규모가 큰 9-10톤급 낚시어선의 수는 매년 늘어나고 있다. 현재 운항 중인 낚시어선은 낚시 활동 중 유류비 절감과 엔진 발생 소음 저감을 위해 엔진을 정지하고 배터리를 이용하여 선박의 필수장비를 운영하고 있다. 하지만 배터리의 방전으로 인한 엔진 시동불량 등으로 인해 해상에서 표류되는 사고가 매년 꾸준히 발생하고 있으며, 이는 대형 인명사고로 이어질 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 낚시어선의 안전확보를 위해 태양광 보조전원 설치를 제안하고, 9-10톤급 선박을 대상으로 선정하였다. 대상선박의 태양광 발전설비 공간 확보 가능성을 확인하였으며, 태양광 발전설비의 적용을 검증하기 위해 조업 중 필요한 필수 부하량을 계산하고 전력분석프로그램을 통해 태양광 발전시스템을 모델링하였다. 모델링 된 태양광 발전시스템에 우리나라의 월별 수평면 평균 일사량을 적용하여 낚시어선의 태양광 보조발전장치 적용에 관한 타당성을 입증하였다.

통계해석에 의한 G/T 4톤급 연안어선의 유효마력 추정 (Prediction of Effective Horsepower for G/T 4 ton Class Coast Fishing Boat Using Statistical Analysis)

  • This paper describes a statistical analysis method for predicting a coast fishing boat's effective horsepower. The EHP estimation method for small coast fishing boats was developed, based on a statistical regression analysis of model test results in a circulating water channel. The statistical regression formula of a fishing boat's effective horsepower is determined from the regression analysis of the resistance test results for 15 actual coast fishing boats. This method was applied to the effective horsepower prediction of a G/T 4 ton class coast fishing boat. From the estimation of the effective horsepower using this regression formula and the experimental model test of the G/T 4 ton class coast fishing boat, the estimation accuracy was verified under 10 percent of the design speed. However, the effective horsepower prediction method for coast fishing boats using the regression formula will be used at the initial design and hull-form development stage.

표민대화(漂民對話)의 조선학적 고찰(표류선박(漂流船舶)의 선형(船型) 추정(推定)) (The Naval Architectural Examination on "Pyomindaehwa" (Presumption of the Type of Drifting Ship))

  • Pyomindaehwa is a study book written in Korean and it takes a form of an investigation document made up of a conversation between Chosen's castaways and an interpreter taking place in Naesirogawa and Satsuma on the south end of Kyushu, Japan in the 19th century. This book is in three volumes. Many terminologies such as timber parts, sail, rigging and equipment have been shown in the last volume, which is mainly about a repairing process of drifting ship. Especially, timber parts' terminologies including hull's term were schematized in Kumamoto Text(1854b). This study have attempted to find out Naval architectural clues helping estimate actual drifting ship's type and bulk on the evidence of the contents. Based on the studies, it is possible to presume the type of Korean boats and ships, which are similar with the ones from database of 21 traditional fishing boats in the report on Investigation of Korean fishing boats studied previously. This paper has shown the logical process of presumption of types of boats.

한국 남해안의 1900년경 어선의 선형에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Hull Form of Fishing Boats around 1900 in South Coast of Korea)

  • 199년경 한국 남해안 어선의 특징은 독창적이고 견고하여 한반도 주변의 해양조건에 적합하고 우리 선조들의 훌륭한 조선기술을 확인할 수 있었으며, 그 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. (1) 본 연구에 사용한 시험대상 어선은 고대 어선에 비하여 비교적 세형으로서 1900년경의 선형이 개량되었음을 알 수 있었다. (2) 용골은 각형단면인 방형용골(bar keel)로 되어 있으며, 선수부는 방형선수재의 구조로서 예리한 pointed stem을 이루고 있다. (3) 외판은 턱붙이 클링커 이음방법으로 접합되어 있었다. (4) 권형망어선의 L/B, L/D, B/D의 값이 자망어선의 값에 비하여 크게 나타났다. (5) 복원성은 두 선박이 양호한 편이며 권형망어선이 자망어선에 비해서 더 우수한 것으로 나타났다.

심층신경망을 이용한 어선의 운동응답 추정 (Motion Response Estimation of Fishing Boats Using Deep Neural Networks)

  • 최근에 선박을 안전하게 설계 및 운항하기 위해 인공지능으로 운동성능을 예측하는 연구가 늘고 있다. 하지만 일반적인 선박에 비해 소형 어선에 대한 연구는 부족한 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 소형 어선의 운동성능 계산에 필수적인 운동응답을 심층신경망으로 추정하는 모델을 제안한다. 15척의 소형 어선에 대하여 유체동역학 해석을 수행하였으며 이를 통해 데이터베이스를 구축하였다. 환경 조건과 주요 제원을 입력 데이터로, 단위 파고에 대한 운동응답(Response Amplitude Operator)을 출력 데이터로 설정하였다. 훈련된 심층신경망 모델을 통해 예측된 운동응답은 유체동역학 해석 결과와 유사한 경향을 보이며 고주파 성분을 가진 운동응답 함수를 낮은 오차로 근사하는 결과를 보여준다. 본 연구의 결과를 바탕으로 어선의 선형 특성 고려한 심층신경망 모델로 확장하여 연구 결과의 활용도를 넓히고자 한다.

불법어업에 대한 해상집행기관의 역할 및 방향 - 중국어선의 불법어업을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Role of Maritime Enforcement Organization As Response of Illegal Fishing)

  • Today, all the countries of the world newly recognize importance of sea on 70% area of the earth, which are focused on efforts for security of marine territory and fishes resources. On the security concerns of the ocean & fishes resources, Sea are very important on the ground of the importance of the ocean, thus international community has been trying to combat a maritime security threat and illegal fisheries. Coastal states need to have proper state's jurisdiction and exercise it's jurisdiction to response effectively to a maritime security threat and illegal fisheries. Here, many of the coastal states strengthened the rights in Exclusive Economic Zone(;EEZ) naturally, there are made cooperation activities and keen competition in the sea because deepening of complex understanding of the relationship between the surrounding countries with marine surveys & continental shelf development, island territorial sovereignty & marine jurisdiction in overlap of sea area on EEZ. In these circumstances, foreign fishing boats invaded to our territorial waters and EEZ many times. in addition, Chinese fishing boats are going to illegal fisheries naturally. On this point, a powerful crackdown of maritime enforcement organization had no effect on them. Also more and more their resistance gathered strength and tendency of a illegal activities became systematization, group action and atrocity little by little. So this thesis includes a study on the regal regulation, the system and formalities on the control of illegal fishing. And the author analyzed the details of the activities of illegal fishing and boats controlled by Korea Coast Guard(KCG), fishing patrol vessels of Ministry of Maritime Affaires and Fisheries(MOMAF) and Navy etc. from in adjacent sea area of Korea. In relation to this, the policy and activity plan were devised to crackdown to illegal fisheries of foreign fishing boats and then it was enforced every year. According to this, analyze the present conditions of illegal fisheries of a foreign fishing boats on this study, also analyze the present conditions of maritime enforcement organization & found out problems to compared it. protect the territorial waters, at the same time protection of marine mineral resources & fishes resources of EEZ including continental shelf, which has want to study for the role & response of maritime enforcement organization for the protection of fisheries resources and a proper, a realistic confrontation plan of maritime enforcement organization against illegal fisheries of foreign fishing boats.

연안어업 어업허가 거래 실태와 개선 필요성에 대한 연구 (The Status and Improvement of the Fishing Boat Market in Korea Coastal Fishery)

  • The permit system is the most typical regulation system in Korean fishery. Even now, it has caused resource management failure, it has also invited economic inefficiency and inequity. Accordingly, the Korean government has recently introduced the fishing boats market, it would be improve entry barrier for new capital and labor in fishing industry. This study aims to survey and to analyze the status of coastal fishing boat market using the executive documents on permit system in Gyongnam province. And also, this study put focus on improve fishing permit trade take advantage of the fishing boat trading. The survey results indicated that the number of fishing boats trading is estimated about 5,000 per year, however, fishing boat market is very narrow. An analysis on fishing permit trading showed that policy support is essential to reduce transaction cost. Therefore, it is necessary to explore corresponding policy tasks, this will be reduce transaction costs and sunk cost.

소형 알루미늄 어선 3종의 고유진동 특성 분석 (Characterizing the Natural Frequencies of Three Small Aluminum Fishing Boats)

  • As the government encourages the replacement of small FRP ships with eco-friendly aluminum ships due to environmental pollution problems, interest and demand for small aluminum ships are increasing. It is known that the vibration and noise of aluminum ships are somewhat vulnerable than that of FRP ships. However, in the process of designing and manufacturing small aluminum fishing boats, vibration and noise are not reviewed. In this study, vibration analysis is performed on three existing aluminum fishing boats, and the vibration characteristics of small aluminum boats are identified. Through this study, we intend to contribute to improving the vibration quality of small aluminum ships.

어가소득분포에 관한 조사연구 (Survey on the Income Distribution of Fishing Households in Korea)

  • This paper first makes a survey of fishing household economy which possess fishing boats under 10 gross Tons by a questionnaire, and makes a comparative study of major indicators of fishing household economy between Korea and Japan, and finally suggests some policies for the fisheries management. Major indicators are the status of fishery household members, number of fishing boats which possess, fisheries incomes, fishing household incomes, side business incomes of fishing household, disposal incomes, living expenses, sufficient degree of living cost, average propensity to consumption and so on. Some policies for improvement in fishing household incomes are suggested in the paper as follows: ⑴ Form a policy similar to a project aiming for increasing the income of fishermen so that the side business income will also increase. ⑵ The point of view in tracing origin of low productivity. ⑶ It has drawn up a plan to encourage saving after analyzing the cause of high propensity to consumption. ⑷ The paper is aimed to collect basic statistical materials for fisheries administration.
