A three dimensional multibody modeling of a launcher system was developed and dynamic characteristics of the system was carried out. All the components were modeled as rigid bodies, All the components of system, ie; chassis, turret, cage and suspension parts, are modeled as rigid. The force interaction between the ground and tire was modeled as a point contact model. The factors were selected as cause and effect diagram of the MINITAB. To see effect of the stiffness, damping, mass at the launcher system, several cases of suspension parameters were compared and optimal values were selected. The stiffness and the damping coefficient were selected as design variables to minimize the required time for the next fire. The dynamic simulation was carried out using the ADAMS, and the MINITAB was employed for data analysis.
Recent catastrophic accidents at the underground subway stations in South Korea have proven that the subway evacuation is an important safety concern. Previous studies have used commercial programs for safety assessment or have been focused on development of computing algorithms rather than the basic analysis data which form the foundation of studies. In this study, we designed a new movement recording apparatus which measured and analyzed crowd movements including but not limited to moving velocity, specific flow rate and crowd density. Moreover, We propose new effective analysis method for evacuation studies with this apparatus.
In this study, one-way fluid structure interaction analysis was adapted to verify the durability of the outdoor evacuation stair structure operated in the event of a fire when wind pressure caused by a typhoon was applied. To this end, flow analysis was performed with the flow field around the structure of the evacuation stair in a steady state, and the durability was analyzed through structural analysis such as structural stress, deformation, and fatigue life using these analysis results by fluid data input data for structural analysis. As a result of flow numerical analysis, the air flow was different according to the shape of the evacuation stair structure, and this flow velocity distribution generated by the total pressure on the structure surface. Through the structural analysis results calculated by this total pressure, the safety factor calculated as the maximum stress value was found to be more than the safety factor, and durability was proven by fatigue life and deformation analysis.

Life safety awareness level diagnosis is necessary for customized safety education and continuous safety awareness. As the starting stage of safety education for each life cycle, a scale that has verified the reliability and validity of high school students' life safety awareness has not yet been developed. In this context, the purpose of this study is to develop and validate the life safety awareness scale of high school students and to analyze interindividual differences. Questionnaire data was collected from April to June 2022 from 834 students in the first, second, and third grades of high schools in △△ city in Jeollabuk-do. A final 25-item scale was developed using the preliminary survey, preliminary test, the main test, descriptive statistical analysis, and exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis. This scale consists of four sub-factors: 'safety prevention', 'safety knowledge', 'safety preparation', and 'safety protection'. Good reliability and validity were verified by analysis of content validity and construct validity. The generalizability of the scale was verified by crossover validation between the search group and the crossover group. Based on the interindividual differences analysis, although there was a difference between genders in life safety awareness, there was no difference by grade level and academic achievement. This study is significant in developing the first valid scale that can measure high school students' life safety awareness and providing the necessity and rationale for life safety education by life cycle considering individual gender differences.

Along with the development of the fourth industry, the public sector has increasingly paid more attention to search using drones and real-time monitoring, for various goals. The drones are used and researched to complete a variety of searching and monitoring missions, including search for missing persons, security, coastal patrol and monitoring, speed enforcement, highway and urban traffic monitoring, fire and wildfire monitoring, monitoring of illegal fishing in reservoirs and protest rally monitoring. Police stations, fire departments and military authorities, however, concentrate on the hardware part, so there are little research on efficient communication systems for the real-time monitoring of data collected from high-performance resolution and infrared thermal imagining cameras, and analysis programs suitable for special missions. In order to increase the efficiency of drones with the searching mission, this paper, therefore, attempts to propose an image analysis technique to increase the precision of search by producing image data suitable for searching missions, based on images obtained from drones and provide the foundation for improving relevant policies and establishing proper platforms, based on actual field cases and experiments.
Numerous scholars have explored the modeling, control, and optimization of energy systems in buildings, offering new insights about technology and environments that can advance industry innovation. Eye trackers deliver objective eye-gaze data about visual and attentional processes. Due to its flexibility, accuracy, and efficiency in research, eye tracking has a control scheme that makes measuring rapid eye movement in three-dimensional space possible (e.g., virtual reality, augmented reality). Because eye movement is an effective modality for digital interaction with a virtual environment, tracking how users scan a visual field and fix on various digital objects can help designers optimize building environments and materials. Although several scholars have conducted Virtual Reality studies in three-dimensional space, scholars have not agreed on a consistent way to analyze eye tracking data. We conducted eye tracking experiments using objects in three-dimensional space to find an objective way to process quantitative visual data. By applying a 12 × 12 grid framework for eye tracking analysis, we investigated how people gazed at objects in a virtual space wearing a headmounted display. The findings provide an empirical base for a standardized protocol for analyzing eye tracking data in the context of virtual environments.
Forest fuel moisture content is a crucial factor influencing the combustion rate and fuel consumption during forest fires, significantly impacting the occurrence and spread of wildfires. In this study, meteorological data were gathered using a meteorological measuring device (HOBO data logger) installed in the south and north slopes of Kangwon National University Forest, as well as on bare land outside the forest, from November 1, 2021, to October 31, 2022. The objective was to analyze the relationship between meteorological data and fuel moisture content. Fuel moisture content from the ground cover on the south and north slopes was collected. Fallen leaves on the ground were utilized, with a focus on broad-leaved trees (Prunus serrulata, Quercus dentata, Quercus mongolica, and Castanea crenata) and coniferous trees (Pinus densiflora and Pinus koraiensis), categorized by species. Additionally, correlation analysis with fuel moisture content was conducted using temperature (average, maximum, and minimum), humidity (average, minimum), illuminance (average, maximum, and minimum), and wind speed (average, maximum, and minimum) data collected by meteorological measuring devices in the study area. The results indicated a significant correlation between meteorological factors such as temperature, humidity, illuminance, and wind speed, and the moisture content of fuels. Notably, exceptions were observed for the moisture content of the on the north slope and that of the ground cover of Prunus serrulata and Castanea crenata.

The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between the safety awareness and safety practice behavior of adult learners who participated in "civic safety culture college" was held in Changwon city. We carried out a questionnaire survey that was targeted at 150 citizens, but 132 citizens were included finally. Data collected were analyzed with SPSS 21.0 statistical program. Analysis methods were t-test, one way ANOVA, Scheffe test, Pearsons correlation coefficient, and multiple linear regression. The results were as follows. First, safety awareness point was an average of 4.17 point which was higher levels. Area showing the highest safety awareness was fire safety. Safety practice behavior point was an over intermediate level of an average of 3.58 point. Second, safety practice behavior had statistically significant difference according to sex(t=2.58, p=.01), education(t=-2.57, p=.01), job(t=-1.96, p=.05), housing(t=3.65, p<.001). Third, there was a positive correlation between home safety awareness(r=.28, p<.001), traffic safety awareness(r=.37, p<.001), fire safety awareness(r=.37, p<.001), emergency care awareness(r=.45, p<.001) and safety practice behavior. Fourth, safety practice behavior was related to the emergency care awareness(${\beta}$=.34, p=.002), this factor accounted for 19.5% of the variability of the safety practice behavior. These results are expected to be very important baseline data for many different businesses and program development for strengthening of safety awareness and spreading of safety culture in Changwon city.
The simulation analysis of fire-driven flow and passenger evacuation in Daegu subway station, Chung-Ang, have been performed. The first location of outbreak of fire is inside passenger car in the third basement in Chung-Ang station. The smoke flow in the second and third basement has been analyzed using FLUENT 6.2. The CO(carbon monoxide) and temperature distribution in the train units and station platform have been obtained and transferred to input data for evacuation simulation. The highest temperature in the train units was 1500K. For the simulation of passenger evacuation, EXODUS has been used for whole basements (level 1${\sim}$ level 3) in the station. Total number of people was assumed to be one thousand and 640 were placed inside train and 360 were placed outside train. In evacuation simulation, an average of 135 passengers were killed and an average time to evacuate takes 10min 19sec. The main evacuation routes used by passengers were investigated and the cause of death was identified by evacuation simulation.

The tools that classify the severity of patients based on the prediction of mortality include APACHE, SAPS, and MPM. Theses tools rely crucially on the evaluation of patients' general clinical status on the first date of their admission to ICU. Nursing activities are one of the most crucial factors influencing on the quality of treatment that patients receive and one of the contributing factors for their prognosis and safety. The purpose of this study was to identify the goodness-of-fit of CPSCS of critical patient severity classification system(CPSCS) and Glasgow coma scale(GCS) and the clinical usefulness of its death rate prediction. Data were collected from the medical records of 187 neurological patients who were admitted to the ICU of C University Hospital. The data were analyzed through $x^2$ test, t-test, Mann-Whitney, Kruskal-Wallis, goodness-of-fit test, and ROC curve. In accordance with patients' general and clinical characteristics, patient mortality turned out to be statistically different depending on ICU stay, endotracheal intubation, central venous catheter, and severity by CPSCS. Homer-Lemeshow goodness-of-fit tests were CPSCS and GCS and the results of the discrimination test using the ROC curve were $CPSCS_0$,.734, $GCS_0$,.583, $CPSCS_{24}$,.734, $GCS_{24}$,.612, $CPSCS_{48}$,.591, $GCS_{48}$,.646, $CPSCS_{72}$,.622, and $GCS_{72}$,.623. Logistic regression analysis showed that each point on the CPSCS score signifies1.034 higher likelihood of dying. Applied to neurologically ill patients, early CPSCS scores can be regarded as a useful tool.
