  • This study is to find out how much elementary school members have their consciousness against safety in their school. Simple questionnaire 1206 sheets have been distributed to the members and additional interview with teachers to take care of them. Statistically, frequency, and correlation analysis have been made and chi-test has also been made for data reliability. The results of these have been summarized as running on corridor with 53.4% in school safety, warming up exercise 45.2% in leisure safety, evacuation form classroom with 2.4% in fire safety, crossing around just in fromt or rear of vehicle with 61.2% in transportation safety. It is thought that safety training should be provided to more for man than for girl pupils and also, safety consciousness should be improved than all the other area.

  • The simulation analysis of fire-driven flow and passenger evacuation in Daegu subway station, Chung-Ang, have been performed. The first location of outbreak of fire is inside passenger car in the third basement in Chung-Aug station, The smoke flow in the second and third basement has been analyzed using FLUENT 6.2. The CO (carbon monoxide) and temperature distribution in the train units and station platform have been obtained and transferred to input data for evacuation simulation. The highest temperature in the train units was 1500k. For the simulation of passenger evacuation, EXODUS has been used for whole basements (level 1${\sim}$level 3) in the station. Total number of people was assumed to be one thousand and 640 were placed inside train and 360 were placed outside train. In evacuation simulation, an average of 135 passengers were killed and an average time to evacuate takes 10min 19sec. The main evacuation routes used by passengers were investigated and the cause of death was identified by evacuation simulation.

  • Plant water deficiency during drought season causes physiological stress and can be a critical indicator of forest fire vulnerability. In this study, we attempt to analyze the spectral characteristics of water stressed vegetation by using the laboratory measurement on leaf samples and the canopy reflectance spectra extracted from satellite hyperspectral image data. Leaf-level reflectance spectra were measured by varying moisture content using a portable spectro-radiometer. Canopy reflectance spectra of sample forest stands of two primary species (pine and oak) located in central part of the Korean peninsula were extracted from EO-l Hyperion imaging spectrometer data obtained during the drought season in 2001 and the normal precipitation year in 2002. The preliminary analysis on the reflectance spectra shows that the spectral characteristics of leaf samples are not compatible with the ones obtained from canopy level. Although moisture content of vegetation can be influential to the radiant flux reflected from leaf-level, it may not be very straightforward to obtain the spectral characteristics that are directly related to the level of canopy moisture content. Canopy spectra form forest stands can be varied by structural variables (such as LAt, percent coverage, and biomass) other than canopy moisture content.

  • Background: This study aims to identify the monthly average medical expenses of public pension recipients, and analyze the determinants of total health and medical expenses and Western and Oriental medicine expenses, medical service expenses, and medical supplies expenses. Methods: This study used the fifth year data of 2013 out of the raw data of the Korean Retirement and Income Study collected by the National Pension Research Institute. This study conducted t-test, analysis of variance, and linear regression to verify publicly the relevance between pension recipients' general characteristics and health and medical expenses status using IBM SPSS ver. 21.0 for data analysis. Results: It was analyzed that there is a difference in the spending of expenditure and health care costs according to public pension recipients. Medical expenses of the national pensioners was higher compared to the special corporate pensioners. The national pensioner is related expenditure size, education level, family members living together, residential areas, status of spouse, number of chronic illness, and status of limitation in daily life with psychological health status. Conclusion: Therefore, fairness does not occur fire to the medical use between the special corporate pensioners and national pensioners, aggressive of government such as health policy and financial support for the retiree pension policy that reflects the reality intervention would be required.

  • Forest fire happens every year at Yeongdong, Gangwon-do, due to the strong local wind during the spring time and it causes a huge damage. This wind is named "Yangganjipung" or "Yanggangjipung" that blows along Yeongdong. However, the occurrence conditions of the wind have been still unclear. To identify the occurrence mechanism of local strong wind through three-dimensional observation data, Gangwon Regional Meteorological Administration performed Joint Gangwon-Yeongdong 3D Observation Project in 2020. The special observation was carried out for 6 times from March to April. The observation data was analyzed by focusing on the structure of synoptic pressure distribution and inversion layer. The result showed that the strength of wind is different depending on the latitude of low pressure, intensity of inversion layer, and changes on height in the south-high and north-low pressure distribution. As the interval of the upper and lower parts of the inversion layer was narrow, the strength of the wind became stronger, which is one of the observational characteristics of the springtime wind pattern at Yeongdong, Gangwon-do. In future, the clear mechanism of the local wind in the Yeongdong during the spring time is expected to be verified based on the accumulative observation data and close analysis.

  • For Halon-1301 regulated by Montreal Protocol and $CO_2$as its alternatives, the empirical equations of density, viscosity, and enthalpy were correlated in terms of temperature. They were obtained by regression analysis from the experimental data in the literature. The empirical equation of density was expressed as compressibility factor by the second- order function of temperature. The empirical equation of viscosity was formulated as a power function, and a correction factor was considered to cover the wider range of temperature. Finally, heat capacity as well as enthalpy were well fitted by empirical form of the second-order temperature. The correlation coefficients of the empirical equations in this work were more than 0.99.

Used OrCAD program for analysis of consisted Power On/Off Set, and this manufactures and experimented driving circuit actually. The experimental result is considered that can refer to data of circuit design in case of apply to actual field of practical use that need alarm after sense flame, and special quality that give an alarm sensing flame in experiment wave and given environment relatively stable. With this result Power On/off Set and that action of embodied serrounding system can utilize actually verify.

  • This study aimed to develop members with the optimum impact characteristics to ensure a protected space for passengers in the case of automobile collisions. Accordingly, these members were fabricated to provide sufficient rigidity and safety to the passenger room structure and to absorb large amounts of energy during collision. In particular, CFRP members were fabricated with different section shapes such as square and single- and double-hat shapes. Next, their impact collapse characteristics and collapse modes were quantitatively analyzed according to the changes in section shapes and stacking angles. This analysis was performed to obtain design data that can be applied in the development of optimum lightweight members for automobiles.

  • Forest fires have been threats to natural resources, endangered species, properties and even to human lives. Efficient management of forest fires requires a complete understanding of the environmental and human related activities, as well as complicate spatial relationships among them. A geo-spatial information system(GSIS) is an appropriate method of being able to mapping and to analyze the spatial data for forest fires. Therefore, this study is to provide and classify the terrain, vegetation, life environment soil and geology factors, and to analyze spatial distribution for forest fire areas by applying the GSIS and the Remote Sensing technology. On the other hands, causes of increasing numbers of forest fires being occurred after In were assessed by comparing the normalized difference vegetation index((NDVI).

  • For Freon-23, a conventional extinguished agent regulated by Montreal Protocol and HFC-227ea, its alternative, the empirical equations were correlated in terms of saturated pressure, density, viscosity, enthalpy and surface tension. They were obtained by regression analysis from the experimental data in the literature. The empirical equations of saturated pressure were expressed as the second and third order function of temperature. The empirical equation of density was expressed as compressibility factor and saturated pressure by a function of temperature. The empirical equation of viscosity was formulated as a power function. Heat capacities as well as enthalpies were well fitted by empirical form of the second-order temperature. Finally, surface tension simply has linear function form in terms of temperature.
