  • Forest fire is due to difficulty in approaching the forest fire at the time of forest fire and quite a long of time required for post-fire investigation, accurate analysis of damages to the forest area caused by forest fire is difficult to obtain. Recently, In attempt to overcome such difficulty, many researches are using satellite images. Nevertheless, it is not easy for everyone to obtain the satellite image data, and additional researches in order to verify accuracy of such data are also required. Therefore, in this study for satellite image to about damages to the forest areas caused by forest fire using tile selected two data of spectral reflectance of the vegetation, gained by using a spectrometer. That is we wished to search about mistake that is apt to happen by one time eyesight observation by analyzing two datas that is used spectral radiometer 3 months and 6 months later and gets.

  • Most of the forest fires that occur in South Korea are caused by human. We partitioned South Korea into nine districts and used observed weather data and daily fire occurrence records for the 1994 to 2003 period to develop a human-caused fire occurrence model of South Korea. Logistic regression analysis techniques were used to relate the probability of a fire day to Fine Fuel Moisture Code (FFMC) component of the Canadian Forest Fire Danger Rating System. The probability of the number of fire day was increased as FFMC increased in the nine districts of South Korea.

  • We have derived the general transfer equation for governing the continuity, energy transfer, mass and momentum transfer, and turbulent energy dissipation rate within the fire compartment which has the 800t fire source at the center of the floor. The governing transfer equations have been descretized using the finite volume approach and numerically experimented under the SIMPLE algorithm. In order for the SIMPLE algorithm approach to be physically reliable, the test results are compared with those of Morita's SOR Method using Conjugate Residual Method and found to be close to physical values though the computational convergence time still remains to be upgraded. The treatment of source terms in the system of finite difference equations has been critical in order to converge the governing equations within the appropriate time steps. The criteria of convergence allowance for the whole domain have been checked and the sudden change of the non-linear effects from the source term have been avoided. The criteria has been allowed to be for 5$\times$10$^{-5}$ .

  • In this paper, we analyzed on the fire cause of the metering out fit(MOF) installed the outdoors in domestic. There are observed by the rule is approved officially such as KS C IEC. and developed into the judgement can be in site. As the results, there founded out the fire cause on the gasket parts of MOF as the process of work which finish is bad. It's estimated the fire process that water percolates through on the MOF according to the un-airtight gasket.

  • Performance based design is a recent evolutionary step in the process of designing fire protection systems. In essence, it is a logical design process resulting in a solution that achieves a specified performance. Sometimes the prescriptive solutions presented in various codes and standards are too expensive or inflexible. Often the solutions do not and enables optimization of a solution for cost and function. In this study, performance based design was carried out to determine the extent of passive fire protection for oil terminal facilities. The results of performance based design were compared with those of prescriptive code based design. Performance based design is not always more economic than prescriptive code based design but provides more reliable and effective design that is fit for the purpose.

  • In Korea, smoke control measures through NFSC 501 are proposed to reduce human casualties caused by smoke in the event of a fire. However, as a result of investigating and analyzing domestic and foreign standards, it was found that domestic regulations do not set fire source, but simply set smoke emissions by floor area or height of smoke boundary. Foreign regulations set fire source. Therefore, it is judged that it is necessary to review whether the current domestic regulations can be applied in the event of an actual building fire. So, this paper aims to identify the differences in domestic and foreign standards through investigation and analysis of related standards for fire zone smoke control system in each country and use them as basic data to improve the performance of zone smoke control system.

  • Currently, the sprinkler method is widely used as an initial suppression method in existing firefighting systems. However, this method can cause significant damage to both equipment and facilities in the hydration area. To minimize this damage, fire extinguishing monitors are being developed that can spray fire extinguishing water directly at the point of fire. These monitors are installed on the top floor of the ship, such as the Living Quarter and Ventilation System. While conventional fire extinguishing monitors focus on lightweight research with a short spray port and require a spray distance of about 40 to 45m, recent developments necessitate a longer spray port, similar to a water cannon, requiring a spray distance of about 70 to 75m. This study aims to predict the injection distance of both the existing ship-installed fire extinguisher and the long spray port fire extinguisher through hydrodynamic computer analysis, and to determine whether the injection distance has increased.

  • The purpose of this paper is to investigate the basic data (e.g. education experience and awareness of the installation situation, and usage of indoor fire hydrants) for the effective planning, progress and improvement of fire safety education. For this purpose, we surveyed 198 participants and an analysis of the frequency and descriptive statistics based on the survey data was carried out using SPSS 20.0 for Windows. The analysis results showed that 87.9% of the research participants live in accommodation with indoor fire hydrants installed and that, among them, 17.7%, did not know their location. 63.6% of the research participants, had received fire safety education but, among them, 31.0% had never been educated about the use of indoor fire hydrants. The main type of fire education was instructor-led training, which represented 50.0% of the participants. We believe that the results of this paper will serve as a basis for efficient adult fire safety education.

  • The present study has been performed to examine the feasibility of a flame spread model on the design fire scenario for fire risk analysis. Thermo-Gravimetric analysis and sample burning test were conducted to obtain the material properties of a single couch covered with synthetic leather material and a series of FDS calculations applying with the measured material properties were performed for different grid sizes. The overall fire growth characteristics predicted by the fire model were quite different from the results of a real scale fire test and the initial peak value of the HRR and total released energy showed the results within a 30% discrepancy for the computational grids used in the present study. The current model has some limitations in predicting the fire growth characteristics, such as fire growth rate and the time to the maximum HRR. This study shows that the fire model may be applicable to creating the design fire scenario through continuous model improvement and detailed material properties.

  • Recently, a grow in size and features of Interior construction work over the complex and The Fire-related regulations have been strengthened for the prevention of fire damage. This study is purpose to propose interior design, construction and supervision for the efficient and reasonable way throughout the fire-related laws are investigated in interior architecture. First, the interior of the building work will be based on actual use Fire-related Laws and Regulations have be investigated. Second, based on analysis of material and facilities by Application can be used in production by the data were applied to the present. Third, the international Fire and Flame Retardant Standards for investigating and reviewing the relevant laws, differences and characteristics of each country were analyzed. Fourth, the various fire-related issues of regulation and the application of relevant provisions in the field works, the law's standards, and improvements were identified by analysis. Fire-Related Laws and Building codes that Safety Administration of the Fire Services are divided into design, it comes to approval from the municipal authorities with concerns about the fire that will fit on the Fire Department's administrative procedures and operations is necessary to integrate operations. In conclusion, Fire-related business are divided into Minister of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs and Ministry of Public Administration and Security. So, Both institutions is need to be the cooperative work. It is necessary to the field supervision. Because, Flame-resistant performance standards in the field works applied are too complex. Last, Establishment of fire-related regulations will enact by private organizations and the experts to participate.
