소방공무원 근무환경에 대한 안전보건 의식 연구 (A Study on the Safety and Health Consciousness for the Working Environment of Fire Fighter)

  • Fire fighter are exposed to the situations which are hard to predict due to continuous and accidental changes which hinder their fire fighting activity. As these threats of safety accident act as fear factors, they are doing insecure fire fighting activities. Therefore, as unclear and abnormal risks of working environment such as the riskiness of expansion of disaster, instability, obstacles of activities, abnormality, urgency, etc. increase, safety accidents are caused. This study analyzes the actual condition of safety and health and awareness of fire fighter who are exposed safety accidents during their fire fighting activities and utilize such result as the basis data to secure safety of fire fighter, keep efficient safety control and prevent accidents. The results of analysis are as follows. As rescue works among all fire-fighting works shows the highest emotional stabilization and the highest post-traumatic stress disorder is shown in fire sergeant level positions, and fire fighters whose working period is 10-15 years, reinforcing safety training to long-term workers is necessary. As the result of survey regarding safety awareness, the highest awareness level was shown in fire sergeant level positions, and fire fighters whose working period is over 20 years, and when it comes to operation of fire fighting equipments, fire-fighting workers and workers having 1-4 years of working period showed high safety awareness. The more serious injury in a fire fighter experienced as the first injury after working as a fire-fighter, the more cause-and-effect relationship was shown between personal physical condition and work, and it is shown as obstacles of fire fighting activities and affects to post-traumatic stress disorder. Moreover, as after-work off duty activities also affect to official disaster, systematic improvement of working environment is required. Occupational medical work compatibility evaluation considering the distinct characteristics of works to secure fire-fighter' health care together with fire-fighting capability is shown to be necessary.

해양 소방 안전을 위한 자율수상로봇 개발 (Development of Autonomous Surface Robot for Marine Fire Safety)

  • The marine industry is rapidly developing as a result of the increase in various needs in the marine environment. In addition, accidents involving ship fires and explosions and the resulting casualties are increasing. Generally, manpower and safety problems exist in fire fighting. A fire fighter in the form of an autonomous surface robot would be ideal for marine fire safety, because it has no manpower and safety problems. Therefore, an autonomous surface robot with the abilities of fire recognition and tracking, nozzle selection, position and attitude control, and fire fighting was developed and is discussed in this paper. The test and evaluation results of this robot showed the possibility of real-size applications and the need for additional studies.

사무소 건축물의 화재안전 성능 평가모델 (Performance Assessment Model for Fire Safety Protection of Office Building)

  • This study is to suggest a performance assessment model for fire safety protection of office building 34 asessment elements were chosen by interviewing with experts, reviewing several codes and existing relevant models, assessment elements included in this model are comprised of five categories which are 'performace of protected area', 'performance of fire partition', 'safety performance of fire escape', 'performace of smoke control system' and 'performace of fire fighting equipment'. The weight of each element was computed by systematic approach like an AHP (analytical hierarchy process), which was conducted by experts who work in the field of fire protection. This model would be utilized as a part of assessment model for the overall performace of domestic office building.

청소년의 안전교육 필요성에 대한 인식이 소방안전의식에 미치는 영향: 성격요인의 조절효과 (Effects of Adolescents' Perception of the Need for Safety Education on Fire Safety Awareness: The Control Effect of Personality Factors)

  • This study attempted to explore how the perception of the necessity of safety education for adolescents affects fire safety consciousness and whether personality factors control the relationship. To this end, a survey was conducted at a high school in region C, and data of 1,049 people who agreed to the survey and responded faithfully were used for analysis. Hayes' macro was used to analyze the moderating effect, and as a result of the analysis, adolescents' awareness of the need for safety education increased, and their relationship was significantly regulated by extroversion, openness, and conscientiousness among the five personality factors. A simple regression line analysis was conducted to find out the specific direction, and it was found that the higher the need for safety education in both the group with high extroversion, openness, and conscientiousness, the higher the awareness of safety education. These results suggest that changes in educational methods and contents are needed to raise awareness of the necessity of education in fire safety education and to improve educational motivation, and that it may be helpful to actively utilize students' personality strengths in education.

아파트 거주자의 안전교육 만족도와 소방계획서의 활용성이 화재안전의식에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Safety Education Satisfaction of Apartment Residents and Application of Fire Protection Plan on Fire Safety Awareness)

  • 이 연구는 아파트 거주자의 안전교육 만족도와 소방계획서의 활용성이 화재안전의식에 미치는 영향을 규명하는데 주된 목적이 있다. 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 안전교육내용의 만족도가 낮으며 화재안전의식수준에 부(-)의 영향을 미쳤다. 이는 아파트 거주자의 안전교육내용의 흥미나 참여가 낮을수록 화재안전의식에도 영향을 미쳐 화재로부터 안전성 확보에 대처하지 못하는 것으로 관리 주체에서는 안전교육의 만족 및 안전문화의 정착을 위해 학습지원 정보시스템 등으로 교육의 만족도에 긍정적인 영향이 필요할 것으로 판단된다. 둘째, 소방계획서의 활용성이 화재안전의식에 정(+)의 영향을 미쳤다. 이러한 결과는 아파트 거주자는 안전에 필요한 교육 및 훈련에 접근하는 기회가 없을 뿐 아니라 의무적으로 수료하는 법적인 책임감이 없어 화재안전의식이 부족하므로 관리 주체에서 소방계획서에 의한 운영강화 및 활성화로 거주자의 참여나 화재안전의식을 고취해 화재로부터 안전한 주거 생활이 되도록 대처하여야 할 것이다. 셋째, 아파트 거주자의 안전교육 만족이 화재안전의식에 미치는 영향에 대해 소방계획서의 활용성은 조절효과가 나타났다. 이는 안전교육 만족도가 높아지면 화재안전의식도 높았지만, 아파트 거주자와 관리주체의 직원이 일체가 되어 소방계획서에 의한 업무를 시행하고 참여가 높을 때 화재안전의식에도 긍정적인 효과로 나타나므로 소방계획서의 운영과 안전교육 만족도가 높을수록 화재안전의식도 높아져 주거 생활에 영향력이 높아짐을 보여준다.

A STUDY on FOREST FIRE SPREADING ALGORITHM with CALCULATED WIND DISTRIBUTION

  • There are many parameters in prediction of forest fire spread. The variables such as fuel moisture, fuel loading, wind velocity, wind direction, relative humidity, slope, and solar aspect have important effects on fire. Particularly, wind and slope factors are considered to be the most important parameters in propagation of forest fire. Generally, slope effect cause different wind distribution in mountain area. However, this effect is disregarded in complex geometry. In this paper, wind is estimated by applying computational fluid dynamics to the forest geometry. Wind velocity data is obtained by using CFD code with Newtonian model and slope is calculated with geometrical data. These data are applied fer 2-dimentional forest fire spreading algorithm with Korean ROS(Rate Of Spread). Finally, the comparison between the simulation and the real forest fire is made. The algorithm spread of forest fire will help fire fighter to get the basic data far fire suppression and the prediction to behavior of forest fire.

화재시 제연 및 피난을 위한 기능성 차압 조절장치 개발에 관한 연구 (The Development of a Functional Pressure Controller in Smoke Management Systems for the Fire Safety of Buildings)

  • The smoke and toxic gases generated from the building fires are proved to cause human death. Therefore, the necessity and significance of smoke control have been emphasized, and lots of studies for developing improved smoke management system have been carried out. In this study, the experiments were conducted to evaluated a function and performance in newly developed smoke management system using mechanical pressurization. As a result of this experiment, the differential pressure was 40Pa${\sim}$60Pa and the air velocity through the door was 0.7m/s between safety zone and fire zone. The functional pressure control equipment which could make proper pressure and maintain differential pressure between safety zone and fire zone was developed. And it will give a lot of helps to evacuation activity for peoples in building and fire fighting.

국내 원자력발전소의 주제어실 화재 피난 리스크 평가를 위한 화재 시뮬레이션 (Fire Simulations for the Abandonment Risk Assessment of Main Control Room Fire in Domestic Nuclear Power Plant)

  • In this paper, to systematically assess the abandonment risk of main control room (MCR) fire, fire simulations with Fire Dynamics Simulator were performed and abandonment probabilities were estimated for the MCR bench-board fire of domestic reference nuclear power plant. The fire simulation scenarios performed in this study included propagating and non-propagating fires of the MCR bench-board, and the availability and unavailability of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system (HVACS). The following results were obtained. First, temperature was the major abandonment impact factor for the MCR bench-board fire if the HVACS was available and optical density was that if the HVACS was unavailable. Second, the fire scenario contributing the MCR bench-board fire abandonment risk was identified to be only the propagating fire. Third, it was confirmed that the abandonment probability of the MCR bench-board fire for domestic reference nuclear power plant could be reduced by using the fire modeling.

  • In this paper, the fire safety management plan and the emergency action program for the railway safety improvement were reviewed. In the fire safety management plan, a series of preventive methods answering to such as a smoke exhaust installation, a fire warning device and a guide inducement will be come into preparation. Also, the damage reducing methods such as complement of fire safety equipments, establishment of refuge & escape system, consolidation of real-time control on fire response and operation procedure will be required for early repressing fire and minimizing fatality.
