  • 수동 시험은 기존의 프로토콜 검증 방법과는 달리 제품이 실제 운용되는 환경에서 입출력의 관찰만을 가지고 제품의 오류를 검출하는 시험이다. 본 논문은 EFSM(Extended Finite State Machine) 모델을 이용하여 homing 기법을 사용하는 수동시험 기법을 제안하고 이를 검증하기 위하여 제안된 수동 시험 기법을 사용하는 OSPF 프로토콜의 오류 검출기를 개발하였다. 개발된 오류 검출기는 Zebra[6]와 시스코 라우터로 구성된 소규모 네트워크에서 Zebra를 이용해 발생시킨 오류 OSPF 패킷을 잘 검출해내었다.

  • 본 논문에서는 게임 개발에 있어서 빈번하게 적용되고 있는 식물 생태계와 이와 연동하는 동물 생태계를 자동화 하는 기법을 연구하고, 이를 실제로 구현하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 정해진 몇 가지 변수에 의해 자동 생성된 식물 생태계와 추가적인 FSM을 기반으로 생성되는 동물 생태계의 자동 생성 로직을 설계하고 이를 구현함으로써 기존의 게임 개발 과정에 효율성을 증대시키고, 최근 들어 터레인의 동적인 구성이나 유저와의 다양한 상호작용으로 인하여 빈번하게 요구되고 있는 자동화된 생태계 생성 기능을 구현하여 게임의 다양성이 기여하고자 한다. 본 논문에서 연구된 연구 결과는 추후에 일반적인 온라인 게임의 배경 자동 생성 시스템으로 확장되어 보다 다양한 적용이 가능할 것이다.

  • Mechatronic subsystems are more and more developed in automotive industries. To enhance the local controls performances, a cooperative control between ABS and Suspension systems is proposed. The respective controls are first designed separately with their dedicated models. Then a hybrid hierarchical architecture is developed. The advantage of this architecture is discussed through vehicle performance with simulation results.

  • This paper deals with the characteristics of persistent current switch (rCS) system fer applied HTS magnet system. To apply the high-Tc superconductor in superconducting machine such as motror, generator, MAGLEV, MRI, and NMR, the study on high-Tc superconducting persistent current mode must be performed. In this experiment, the PCS system consists otd superconducting magnet, PCS and magnet power supply. The superconducting magnet was fabricated by connecting four double pancake coils (DPCs) in series. The PCS was inductive double pancake coil type and heated up by the SUS 303L tape heater. The optimal length of PCS was calculated and thermal quench state of PCS was simulated by using finite element method(FEM) and compared with experimental results. The optimal energy to normalize the PCS was calculated and introduced. Finally, the persistent current was observed with respect to various ramping up rate and magnitude of charging current.

  • Hand gesture recognition has been widely used in virtual reality and HCI (Human-Computer-Interaction) system, which is challenging and interesting subject in the vision based area. The existing approaches for vision-driven interactive user interfaces resort to technologies such as head tracking, face and facial expression recognition, eye tracking and gesture recognition. The purpose of this paper is to combine the finite state machine (FSM) and the gesture recognition method, in other to control Windows Media Player, such as: play/pause, next, pervious, and volume up/down.

Soft IP Compiler for a Reed-Solomon Decoder

  • In this paper, we present a soft IP compiler for the Reed-Solomon decoder that generates a fully synthesizable VHDL core exploiting characteristic parameters and design constraints that we newly classify for the soft IP. It produces a structural design with an estimable regular architecture based on a finite state machine with a datapath (FSMD). Since characteristic parameters provide different design points on the design space, using one of two simple procedures called the constructive search with area increment (CSAI) and constructive search with speed decrement (CSSD) for design space exploration, the core compiler makes it possible for an IP user to create the Reed-Solomon decoder with appropriate sub-architectures without synthesizing many models. Experimental results show that the IP compiler can apply to several industry standards.

  • In this paper a new excitation control scheme that improves the transient stability of multi machine power systems is proposed. To this end the backstepping technique is used to transform the system to a suitable partially linear form. On this system, a combination of both feedback linearization and adaptive control techniques are used to confront the nonlinearities. As shown in the paper, the resulting nonlinear control law ensures the uniform boundedness of all the state and estimated variables. Furthermore, it is proven that all the error variables are uniformly ultimately bounded (DUB) i.e. they converge to arbitrarily selected small regions around zero in finite-time. Simulation tests on a two generator infinite bus power system demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed control.

  • As the increasing of capacity and technology of power facilities, rotating machines such as turbine generators and water turbines are getting higher at capacity but smaller in size. Thus the monitoring and diagnosis of generators for fault detection and protection has attracted intensive interest. Most of electrical faults of rotating machines appear in their windings. In case of an after-fault in high capacity rotating machines, the recovering cost is usually very expensive and additional time is necessary for returning in a normal situation. In this paper, the magnetic flux patterns in air-gap of a generator under various fault states as well as a normal state are simulated by a conventional FEM tool. These results are successfully applied to detection and diagnosis of the short-circuit condition in rotor windings of a high capacity generator.

  • 화학 박막 증착용(CVD : Chemical Vapor Deposition) 클러스터 장비는 다양한 공정 경로가 가능하며 물류 흐름이 매우 복잡해질 수 있다. 또한, 공정이 종료된 웨이퍼는 제한 시간 내에 챔버에서 꺼내져야만 한다. 클러스터 장비는 두 개의 팔을 가진 로봇이며, 빈 쪽 팔을 이용하여 공정이 종료된 웨이퍼를 꺼낸 후, 다른 쪽 팔을 이용하여 이전 공정에서 가져온 웨이퍼를 해당 공정에 넣어 주는 스왑(SWAP) 방식으로 운영된다. 이러한 스왑 방식에서는 로봇 작업 순서가 결정되어 진다. 그러나, 로봇의 팔 이외에 임시버퍼가 없고, 각 챔버는 엄격한 체제 시간 제약(Residency Time Constraint)을 가지고 있기 때문에 로봇의 작업 시점의 제어가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 간단한 Earliest Starting 방식으로 로봇의 작업 시점을 제어한다고 가정했을 때, 스왑 방식을 운용하면서 체제 시간 제약을 만족하는 공정 시간들의 조건을 제시한다. 공정 시간은 엔지니어에 의해 다소 조정이 가능하므로 공정 시간들의 조건은 엔지니어에게 스케줄 가능한 공정 시간을 결정할 수 있도록 지원해 주는 시스템에 활용 가능하다. 또한, 본 논문에서는 FSM(Finite State Machine)을 이용하여 CTC(Cluster Tool Controller) 내부의 실시간 스케줄러 구현 방법을 제안한다.

Numerical studies of the effect of residual imperfection on the mechanical behavior of heat-corrected steel plates, and analysis of a further repair method

  • Heating correction, through heating and flattening a structure with a pressing machine, is the in-situ method used to repair buckled steel structures. The primary purpose of this investigation is to develop an FEM model which can predict the mechanical response of heat-corrected plates accurately. Our model clarifies several unsolved problems. In previous research, the location of the imperfection was limited to the center of the specimen although the mechanical behavior is strongly affected by the location of the imperfection. Our research clarifies the relationship between the location of the imperfection and the mechanical behavior. In addition, we propose further reinforcement methods and validate their effectiveness. Our research concludes that the strength of a buckled specimen can be recovered by heating correction and the use of an adequate stiffener.
