  • 본 논문에서 유한차분법을 이용하여 Pt-GaAs Schottky Barrier Diode(SBD)를 일차원으로 simulation하였다. 반도체의 지배방정식인 포아송 방정식(poisson equation)과 전류연속 방정식)current continuity equation)을 이산화 시킨 다음 Newton-Raphson 방법으로 선형화시켜서 가우스 소거법으로 해가 수렴할 때까지 반복적으로 풀었다. 이 SBD의 해석에 필요한 경계조건은 열전자방출-확산이론(thermionic emission-diffusion theory)으로부터 Schottky Barrier의 경계조건을 취하였다. 에피층을 갖는 SBD를 모델링하여 인가전압에 따른 다이오드에서의 전위와 전자의 분포를 simulation 하였다. 전위에 따라 변하는 접속층을 고려하여 실험치와 잘 일치하는 결과를 얻었다.

  • This paper deals with two kinds of novel shape switched reluctance motors (SRM) with magnetic barriers in order to improve operating performances of prototype. The magnetic barriers make rotor poles more saturated, and consequently inductance profiles are distorted. The changed inductance affects input current shape and eventually torque characteristics. In order to analyze the complicated flux pattern of the SRM with magnetic barriers and its terminal characteristics simultaneously, coupled field circuit modeling method is used. The finite element method is used to model the nonlinear magnetic field, and coupled to the circuit model of the SRM overall system. After experimental results are presented to prove the accuracy of the method, the several analysis results are compared, and the improved rotor shape is presented.

  • Though full 3D analysis is the proper method to analyze the hybrid stepping motor (HSM), it has weak points in the areas of computation time and complexity. This paper introduces 2D FEA using a virtual magnetic barrier for the axial cross section to save computation time. For the purpose of 2D FEA, the virtual magnetic barrier and equivalent permanent magnet model of HSM are proposed. This result is compared with that of experimental and 3D analysis, considered as a reference result.

수소버스 수소저장용기의 측면충돌 안전성 평가방법 연구 (Study on Safety Evaluation Process for Hydrogen Storage System of Hydrogen Bus)

  • The structural safety of hydrogen buses is being evaluated for the successful introduction of hydrogen buses. The crash test methodology, for example, side impact test procedure is being discussed for hydrogen bus structure safety with a compressed hydrogen storage system located under the bus floor. Thus this study describes a new experiment method for side impact test with compressed hydrogen storage system independently based on finite element analysis instead of side impact test using full hydrogen bus. A side crash procedure of conceptual compressed hydrogen storage structure was investigated and impact simulations were performed. The finite element models of hydrogen bus, simplified structures, fuel tank system and side impact moving barrier were set up and simulation results reported model performance and result comparison of three different simplified models. Computational results and research discussion proposed the fundamental test framework for safety assessment of the compressed hydrogen storage system.

진동차단공의 재료별 방진효과에 관한 해석적 연구 (Analytical Study on the Isolation Effects of Bore Holes by Materials)

  • 본 연구는 환경진동으로 유발되는 진동 대책 중 전파 경로상에 방진구나 방진벽 등과 같은 진동차단벽을 설치했을 경우 차단벽의 재료를 방진구, 콘크리트, EPS, 철로 변화시켜 유한요소해석을 수행하여 진동을 가장 효율적으로 저감시킬 수 있는 재료 및 차단벽의 규모(타설심도, 차단벽두께, 진원으로부터의 거리)에 대하여 연구하였다. 본 연구 결과 방진구의 경우는 차단벽의 두께의 영향보다는 차단벽의 타설심도에 영향이 크고, 콘크리트의 경우에는 다른 방진벽의 방진효과에 비해 방진효과가 떨어진다. 또한 EPS의 경우는 타설심도 보다는 차단벽두께의 영향이 진동차단에 더 효과적임을 알 수 있었다.

유한요소 폭풍해일 모형을 이용한 직립안벽에 대한 범람모의 (Inundation Simulation on a Vertical Dock Using Finite Element Storm Surge Model)

  • 연안방재계획 수립을 위한 기초자료 생성의 일환으로 태풍에 의한 해일 범람모의를 수행하였다. 통상적인 침수-노출 처리가 불가한 직립안벽을 갖는 항만역의 특징이 반영되도록 가상의 내부제방 개념을 도입하여 해석하였다. 목포항에 대한 실제해역 적용에 앞서 단순해역에서 다수의 적용성 평가를 통해 내부제방의 폭은 1 m가 적정한 것으로 평가되었다. 해일범람으로 인한 침수면적과 침수심 산정에 민감하게 작용하는 육역의 침수-노출 처리기법에서의 최소침수심은 격자에 의존적이나 10 m 내외의 유한요소 상세격자에서는 0.01 m가 적정한 것으로 판단된다. 기존 태풍경로에 준거한 100년 빈도급 중심기압과 최대풍속을 가지며 비대칭 경도풍과 파랑효과가 고려된 가상태풍의 내습에 따른 목포해역의 침수예상역이 모의되었다. 침수면적은 기존 연구결과와 유사성을 나타내지만 항만권역 일부에서 확대 가능성이 있는 것으로 평가된다.

열차폐 코팅의 TGO 성장과 형상비에 따른 TC-BC-TGO 계면에서의 잔류응력 변화에 대한 유한요소해석 (Numerical Simulation of Effects of TGO Growth and Asperity Ratio on Residual Stress Distributions in TC-BC-TGO Interface Region for Thermal Barrier Coatings)

  • The residual stresses in the interface region of the Thermal Barrier Coating (TBC)/Thermally Grown Oxide (TGO)/Bond Coat (BC) were calculated on the TBC-coated superalloy samples using a Finite Element Method (FEM). It was found that the stress distribution of the interface boundary was dependent upon mainly the geometrical shape or its aspect ratio and the thickness of TGO layer, which was formed by growth and swelling behavior of oxide layer. Maximum compressive residual stress in the TBC/TGO interface is higher than that of the TGO/bond coat interface, and the tensile stress had nothing to do with change of an aspect ratio. The compressive residual stresses in the TBC/TGO and TGO/bond coat interface region increased gradually with the TGO growth.

  • Generally, the motor inside vehicle is exposed to highly ambient temperature and large vibration according to repeatedly starting and stopping for very short time. So, in this paper, the rotor shape design was performed to improve demagnetization endurance by considering the starting current of the Brushless DC (BLDC) Motor through the Finite Element Method(FEM). As a result, the partial irreversible demagnetization was occurred by starting current at the end of Permanent Magnets of the basic model. To solve this problem, the flux barrier design was performed and the flux on the rotor core was limited. Accordingly, demagnetization endurance and operating characteristics were improved.

  • The paper presents the design of a segmented type synchronous reluctance motor(SynRM) to increase its torque and power factor. The main feature of a segmented type synchronous reluctance motor is the flux barrier. Thus, the design process to find optimum value of various geometric parameters including flux barrier will be explained. Optimum value of each parameter is found where the d, q inductance difference and saliency ratio are maximized because these inductance characteristics are related to torque and power factor. Finite Element Analysis will be used to simulate motor characteristics. Analysis results of redesigned SynRM show higher saliency ratio over 10 and improved value of maximum power factor.
