In order to enhance competitiveness in the industry, financial companies are building a high level of customer satisfaction and repurchase intention by further strengthening not only the technical quality of the platform business but also the customer-oriented service quality. Theoretically, it is time for a theoretical review of whether the expansion of service quality using platform business in the financial industry is directly linked to the performance of financial companies, such as satisfaction and repurchase intention of existing customers. Based on the rapid growth of mobile and the main activities of financial platform companies above, This study attempted to test a significant impact on customer satisfaction and reuse intention on information services and system services, which are service quality of mobile financial platforms. Even if a number of financial companies compete with each other, they could survive by dividing the market, In the digital environment, customers have free access, so the winner can monopolize the market. It is an environment in which customers can move to platform companies that provide better services. The contents presented through the results in this study will be able to be used strategically in terms of the implementation and operation of the financial platform. In addition, it served as an opportunity to find independent variables that affect customer satisfaction and reuse intention, which are financial platform service quality, and suggested the possibility of continuous development of the platform in the future. In summary, the service quality of financial platforms can further expand users by emphasizing user visibility in terms of information services and utilizing user-centered financial platforms that increase customer satisfaction and reliability by strengthening the responsiveness and ease of system services. This study is of important value and is believed to have laid an important foundation for future research.
To understand the financial situation of waterworks, the revenue and operation cost from 1996 have been analyzed. The budget of waterworks was 3,775 billion won in 1996 and grew up to 5,774 billion won in 2007. The budget has grown about 1.53 times during 11 years. Based on 2007, total cost for supplying water, rehabilitating old facilities and returning debt and its interest was 4146 billion won. The cost was recovered by 2,825 billion won of water revenue, 827 billion won of various fees revenue, 571 billion won of financial grant and 89 billion won of loan. Until 2007, the 15.3% of operation cost for waterworks was covered by government grant and loan. The renovation cost for old non-efficient facilities was 1,356 billion won in 1996 and was 1,486 billion won in 2007. The renovation cost was not increased remarkably during 10 years. Since the total operation cost was increased about 1.5 times, the percentage for renovating old facilities was decreased from 36% to 25.7%. This trend need to be alerted because the renovation has been slow down when the facilities for water supply need more rehabilitation.
This study purported to acquire information necessary to improve the operational efficiency of general hospitals. It tried to determine major indices which represent managerial performance of general hospitals and to identify the managerial characteristics of general hospital which affect the major financial indices. 201 hospitals which were subject to standardization audit by the Korean Hospital Association were investigated and 80 hospitals were finally chosen for this study. Their financial and managerial data during the period between January 1991 and December 1991 were collected. Considering financial indices in this study were the ration of net income to total asset, income growth rate, and quick ration. The results of study are summarized as followings. First. The ration of net income to total assets and quick ration were highly related to managerial characteristics of general hospitals. Therefore, the standardization of three financial indices should be needed to systematically check the operational efficiency of general hospitals. Second, the sample hospitals can be classified as four groups on the basis of their financial indices' level. 4 of those hospitals(5.0%) showed high level of performance in terms of three financial indices and 27 of them(33.7%) showed that they are highly related to only two financial indices. 34 hospitals(42.5%) showed they have high level of relationship with only one indices and 15 hospitals(18.8%) showed very weak performance level with three indices. In addition, there is no hospitals to show mid-range level of managerial performance in relation to all three financial indices. Third, there is no significant relationship between three financial indices and the managerial characteristics of hospitals such as the number of beds, type of operation, location of hospitals, and etc. However, in the case of hospitals which have high level of managerial performance, they have more specialists and medical support personnel in comparison to low performance hospitals. They also have high level of bed occupancy rate and average length of stay(ALOS). In conclusion, the study showed the standardization of 3 financial indices are necessary to systematically evaluate the managerial performance of general hospitals and provide more accurate operational information for each hospital. To do so, it is necessary to focus on management side of hospital such as the effective human resource management and quality enhancement of medical treatment.
The operation of the Seat-type Express Electric railway (SEE) has been watched for an alternative plan according to the increase of competition among the vehicle in metropolitan city. The purpose of this study was to examine a feasibility for the adoption of the SEE by analysis of various condition in the double tracked Souel-Chuncheon line. Fare estimate, station selection for SEE, managerial plan, demanding forecasting and analysis were performed to compute financial efficiency. The results showed financial validity on Revenue Cost Ratio (R/C), Financial Net Present Value (FNPV), Financial Internal Rate of Return (FIRR). This results indicate the evidence that SEE is a new means which is able to complement for finance, transportation capacity in metropolitan city.
This paper is focused on the sustainability of public rental housing policy. We have analyzed the general fiscal conditions of central government, the public welfare fiscal conditions, the public expenditure on rental housing, and the Korea Land & Housing Corporation (LH) financial structure. Central government fiscal conditions is controlled by the midium-term fiscal operation plan(2010~2014) and fiscal rules. And the fiscal mandatory expenditures on welfare is increased rapidly by the expansion of beneficiaries, but the fiscal discretionary expenditures particularly on public rental housing can be gradually cut down. LH, the dominant agency responsible for affordable housing, is now confronted with financial distress accruing to excessive burden for public rental housing construction. As a result this paper, we find the discrepancy between the fiscal conditons and public rental housing policies. We suggest the fiscally sustainable rental housing policy. Firstly, the construction plan should be realized reflecting the market and fiscal conditions. Secondly, the provsion and financing system of rental housing should be rebuild within the government fiscal condtions and financial ability of LH.
The purpose of this study was to examine financial management practices in elementary school foodservices. Respondents were asked to provide information on demographics, operational characteristics, financial management activities(responsibility, importance and time demand). Data were collected from 106 elementary school foodservice using the mail questionnaire. The results were as follows 1. Time demand of 14 financial management activities was examined. The results of time-demand showed that most financial activities were performed about once per month. Reporting, inventory checking and production cost accounting were performed several times per week. 2. Major financial management activities performed by school dietitians were inventory checking, record keeping, production cost accounting, and foodservice operation planning. 3. Results of the importance rating of 14 financial management activities showed that the production cost accounting, budgeting, controlling meal costs, reporting the national treasury accounts, and inventory checking were rated as very important(4.00-4.49). Factor analysis was conducted on the importance ratings. Five activities were differentiated such as budgeting, record keeping, cost controlling, cost accounting, and reporting. The cost controlling task was identified at the most important one among them. 4. Important ratings for reporting were found to be significantly different by age, and years of experience. The younger and the less experienced were responded with higher scores on reporting. Analysis of variance for the importance scales by meal costs per one person, food cost percentage, labor cost percentage was conducted, but significant differences were not founded.
Purpose - This paper evaluated the efficiency performance of the three major maritime transport markets and examined the determinants of the performance. The firms' revenue fluctuates with the changes of the economic cycle; hence it is important for them to set up business strategies to improve efficiencies. A lack of efficiency measurements for shipping firms leads to a significant gap in determining their overall performance. Research design, data, and methodology - Each of DEA scores was adopted for the evaluation and panel regression was used to examine the impact of determinants on the performance. The analysis included 50 shipping firms from three maritime transport markets as follows; 15 firms of container liners, 18 firms of bulk carrier and 17 firms of tanker carriers, and its period was from 2010 to 2016. Results - In the CCR model, container liners were the highest, tanker carriers were the second, and bulk carriers were the lowest in operation efficiency and financial efficiency. By region, operation efficiency and financial efficiency was high in the order of America, Asia, and Europe. Conclusions - This study suggests business strategies for maritime transport companies based on the analytical results of determinants of operational and financial efficiency.

This study aimed to examine the effect of corporate characteristics, including the industrial sector and scale of operation, financial leverage, profitability, operating period, and social reputation, on socio-ecological responsibility based on Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards. The study was conducted in the Indonesian context. A total of 90 public companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange were selected as samples, with an observation period of 10 years. A univariate regression analysis was applied to test the hypotheses. The results showed that the industrial sector, scale of operation, financial leverage, profitability, operating period, and social reputation of the corporate had a positive effect on socio-ecological responsibility. This study also obtained evidence that there were differences in the level of socio-ecological responsibility among the industrial sectors. The higher the relationship between the industrial sector and the possibility of the emergence of social and environmental issues, the higher the level of corporate socio-ecological responsibility. From a policy perspective, the implication of the results of this study was that it could be used as a consideration by the authorities or regulators in Indonesia, particularly the Financial Services Authority (OJK), in determining specific indicators of socio-ecological responsibility that must be carried out by corporates.
The purpose of this study was to investigate a plan of middle/high school foodservice systems which could properly provide nutrition for juveniles' health. Questionnaires were developed and distributed to: 245 middle schools with 271 parents, 328 students, 180 teachers, and 345 administrators; 163 high-schools with 223 parents, 466 students, 179 teachers, and 163 administrators in Seoul and Kyunggi province. The results of this study were as followed. For the desirable feeding type as in-school meal plan, 62.2% responded to the current elementary school feeing type:10.3% responded to a lunch-box prepared at home; and 38.0% responded to free dining out type. For a feeding operation type, school administrators, teachers and parents favored the current school feeding systems in elementary schools with proportion of 68.2%, 47.7%, and 87.6% as respectively. Also, 20.3% of school administrators, 22.6% of teachers, and 6.9% of parents preferred contract management. A total of 27.6% of teachers, 9.2% of school administrators, and 3.7% of parents responded to a lunch-box prepared at home. There was a significant difference between the responses for establishing the main body of financial burden to solve the problem of financial burden which could be the most obstacle to bring middle/high school feeding system into operation. For the management of school feeding systems when brought into operation, 88.7% out of 470 responded schools and 89.9% out of 227 responded teachers reported that an expert should manage school feeding systems. For futuristic direction, an effective joint cooking type between schools which may be the way to solve the difficulties in securing the appropriate space and to decrease the financial burden, the problem of transportation for delivering feeding products, low quality of feeding, and sanitation can occur. Therefore, the distance between schools which operate a joint cooking system will affect as a major factor. Furthermore, concrete examination of plans for introduction of various types of school feeding and institutional devices for management system and supervision of operation should become a condition precedent.
"Financial ADR" system in South Korea can be represented by so-called "Financial Dispute Resolution System", in which Financial Supervisory Service (FSS) and Financial Dispute Resolution Committee are the principal actors in operation of the system, and this is discussed as an "Administrative Financial ADR System". The system has over 10-year history since it was introduced in around 1999. Nonetheless, it was not until when financial consumer protection began to be highlighted after the 2008 financial crisis that Financial ADR system actually started to draw attention in Korea. This was because interest has been rising in "Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR)" as an institutional measure to protect financial consumers damaged via financial transactions. However, the current discussion on the domestic Financial ADR system shows an aspect that it is confined to who is to be a principal actor for the operation of Financial ADR institution with main regards to reorganization of supervisory system. This article aims to embody these facts in an institutional model by recognizing them as a problem and analyzing the features of the Financial ADR system, thereby clarifying problems of the system and presenting the direction of improvement. The Korean Financial ADR system can be judged as "administrative model integrated model consensual model quasi-judicial model non-prepositive Internal Dispute Resolution (IDR) model". However, at the same time, it is confronted with a task to overcome the two problems; the system is not equipped with institutional basis for securing its validity in spite of the adopted quasi-judicial effect model; and a burden of operating an integrated ADR system is considerable. From this perspective, the article suggests improvement plans for security of validity in the current system and for expansion of industry-control ADR system, in particular, a system of prepositive IDR model. Amongst them, it suggests further plans for securing the validity of the system as follows; promotion to expand the number of internal persons and to differentiate mediation procedures and effect; a plan to keep a financial institution from filing a lawsuit before an agreement recommendation or a mediation proposal is advised; and a plan to grant suspension of extinctive prescription as well as that of procedures of the lawsuit.
