Since technological innovation is such an important factor that it can determine a company's economic growth and competitive enhancement, all the companies make lots of investments and efforts for technological innovation. As outcomes of technological innovation, there are patents, trademark and copyrights, etc. and they are mostly approved as a legal right called 'Intellectual Property Right'. To activate such an intellectual property right, financing techniques are needed for enterprises to raise funds through collaterals, such as technological and intellectual patents. In reality, however, any IP-related financial system is not really activated due to the lack of surety-related regulations in Korea. Thus, on the premise that it is important to carry out an objective and reliable valuation on IP as a collateral for the activation of IP finance, this study intends to investigate various different methods of patent valuation needed for IP finance.

With the growth of e-commerce banks make the best use of internet banking which can provide all sorts of financial services in cyber space and satisfy customers beyond traditional banking services which are cash reserve and loan based on retail. For survival of internet banking high quality of service should be provided to customers. For this, the attributes of service quality in internet banking should be identified first. The studies on scale of service quality in internet banking have been divided into two ways. While traditional way has focused on SERVQUAL, several researchers have developed scale of e-service quality. However, the dimension of e-service quality is applied from the traditional dimension of service quality. In this paper five dimensions of tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy based on SERVQUAL are used as scale of service quality in internet banking through reviewing previous studies. In addition, because service value is correlated to service quality, the dimensions of service quality can affect e-service value. The positive relationship among e-service value, customer satisfaction, and customer loyalty in online or offline service has been identified by previous studies. The purpose of this study is to identify the relationship among service quality, e-service value, customer satisfaction, and customer loyalty in internet banking. SPSS 12.0 is used to test validity and reliability of questionnaire items and correlation of variables and AMOS 4.0 is used to test the hypotheses. The results of this study show that the responsiveness, assurance, and empathy factors of service quality have a positive effect on service value and that the tangible and assurance factors have a positive effect on customer satisfaction. It also shows that e-service value affects positively customer satisfaction and loyalty. Customer satisfaction affects positively customer loyalty. Therefore, to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty, service quality and value of internet banking should be improved through reinforcing customers' trust in internet service quality.

CALS/EC is about doing business electronically. It is based on the electronic processing and transmission of data, including text, sound and video. It encompasses many diverse activities including electronic trading of goods and services, online delivery of digital content, electronic fund transfers, electronic share trading, electronic bills of lading, commercial auctions, collaborative design and engineering, online sourcing, public procuremet, direct consumer marketing, and after-sales service. It involves both products(e.g. consumer goods, specialised medical equipment) and services(e.g. information services, financial and legal services); traditional activities(e.g. healthcare, education) and new activities (e.g. virtual malls). CALS/EC will be emerging to replace and substitute the role of the conventional market. By changing and eliminating some processes of the transactions, the electronic market and the electronic commerce will redistribute the power and hence the benefits of the market activities. Traditional way of doing business may enter into the new electronic market because the role and function of trust and established reputation will be reinforced in the electronic market. The CALS/EC through the Internet has been in the spotlight in the shopping behavior of the consumers. Accordingly Corporates are trying to adapt themselves to those rapidly changing environments being affected by the Internet. Among others, particularly to be noted is the CALS/EC between corporations and consumers whose potential growth can be considered very substantial. This report, focusing on the introduction of CALS/EC for the logistics of SMEs, will allow us to prepare more efficiently for the coming 21st Century. It is obvious that CALS/EC is fast becoming the useful way of exchanging not only information but products in business between firm-to-firm and firm-to-customer.
Using survey on 865 college students, this study examines college students' perceptions on older generations in Korea. College students do not perceive conflicts with the elderly severely. While they recognize that the elderly contributed to family care and economic growth, they perceive that intergenerational conflicts regarding redistribution across generations might be impending in the areas of welfare policies. Progressive students evaluate contributions of the elderly more positively and approve expanding the roles of governments in the areas of welfare policies for the elderly than do conservative students. Students with higher interests in politics also positively assess the contributions of the elderly and are more concerned with the financial sustainability of welfare policies for the elderly. However, they perceive that the possibility of intergenerational conflicts might be low. This study suggests programs to increase intergenerational cooperation between college students and the elderly.
The Bimodal Tram being developed in Korea is a new transit system that provides both benefits of rail and bus systems in terms of accessibility and fixed time schedule. The Bimodal Tram is expected to take an important role of transit system in Korea under the national strategy of transportation system such as 'Low Carbon and Green Growth' for the next generation. This study does define the key indices considered for a decision of introducing the Bimodal Tram system and develop a finalized index, BSI(Bimodal Score for Introduction), showing the level of Bimodal Tram system introduced at a city level. The transport/transit system varies depending on cities with respect to demographic characteristics, travel patterns, financial capabilities, etc. This study will help any cities where transport agencies are trying to introduce the Bimodal Tram as a new transit system.

Companies must capture value for sustainable growth. Capturing value is a critical task for companies, particularly when operating own businesses and organizations or starting new business. The business strategy of many companies focuses on capturing the maximum value from customers and other stakeholders. Even though a wide range of studies on value creation and appropriation has been conducted in the strategic management field, most of studies are still conceptual and theoretical. Thus more empirical studies are required to suggest future-oriented value strategy. This study reveals the value creation and appropriation elements in the aviation industry of Korea. The purpose of this study is to understand the trend of value creation and appropriation in the industry. In addition, the relationship between the elements and firm's performance are tested. The firm's performance is defined by that past and future point of views. The sample were collected from Korean Air and Asiana Air. The empirical test shows that the elements of value creation-appropriation have significant impact on firm's performance. Further, the element of value appropriation to customer has a positive impact both on firm's past and future performance. Our results show that investors acknowledge a value-based strategy as a sign of stock valuation. The results of this test correspond with the earlier one, showing that maximizing customers value rather than shareholder value does deliver impressive returns. The finding suggest that companies need to change their strategy to efficiently manage performance. With the test results, we propose a value-based strategy to maximize firm's future financial and stock performance.

Recently, due to external environment like the changes in health policy and various healthcare accreditations, along with hospital's internal efforts to improve the quality of medical services, demands for the development of medical information systems are increasing. Some examples are clinical information like DUR (Drug Utilization Review), CVR (Critical Value Report), and automatic benefit processing by treatment purposes, or hospital DSS (Decision Support System) on overall medical practice. Such systems act as a guide in making clinic judgments during practice or in other medical practice, and their effects on the medical treatment improvements are being proven by previous studies. In the reality of increasing attention in the effects of medical treatment improvement, studies related to hospital DDS were mostly focused on clinical, technical, and engineering points of view, and studies focusing on the user viewpoint are very limited. In order to verify the effects of DSS on practice improvements and hospital's management performance, this study used a research model constructed to verify how SERVQUAL of hospital DSS affects hospital management performance in BSC (Balanced Score Card) point of view. To empirically verify the research model, a questionnaire was conducted on the basis of "K-University Hospital's DSS" on clinicians and hospital employees related to system development, and the relationships between the factors were analyzed through path analysis. As a result of path analysis, excluding reactivity, tangibility, confidence, reliability, empathy among service qualities, had partially significant effects on management performance factors (learning and growth, internal process, financial affairs). This study is to prepare the theoretical ground on the management performance analysis of hospital DSS, and suggest the service quality of the system that should be considered in the planning and development stages for improved system.
In late 1980s, many suburban cities in Tokyo metropolitan area have tried to construct office parks, such as Makuhari New Town, Minato Mirai 21 to promote knowledge based economy. As the most important player of this mesa project, the local government mobilized local resources from various private sectors. The local government adopted place marketing strategy to attract companies and consumers with thick pocket. The composition of this strategy embraces publicity, uniqueness, centrality of function and information and comfortability for formation of the office park. Headquarters and producer service offices were relocated in the suburban office parks for the first time in the history of modem Tokyo since 1920s. Although it is the ongoing project that encounters some financial difficulties, the office park Project will be a sound foundation for future growth of knowledge-based economy.
