The purpose of this study is to investigate Modernism of Gabrielle Chanel in respect to her fashion business. Chanel always considered the work of a fashion designer 'a technique, a craft, a trade' and chastised couturiers who looked upon themselves as artists. She was the first to cater to the public in its broader sense and to produce standard which appealed to every taste, the first to democratize the art of dressmaking for purely economic reasons. The results were as follows; 1. Chanel personified ~his new spirit of independence and evolved a style of dress for the modern, liberated woman. 2. Chanel excelled at fabrics, their interpretation, and an ability to use them. She had taken a humble material, one that was used by men and that they had shunned, and turned it into a fashionable fabric. In the process she also accelerated the growth of the ready-to-wear industry for it was a fabric within the financial reach of the majority of woman who wanted to dress fashionably but were not well off. 3. Chanel thought black chic and would never go out of fashion. As American Vogue for 1 October 1926 prognosticated, her little black dress became a kind of uniform. 4. Chanel represented an exception among couturiers because she was flattered that her styles were so popular and widely copied. She believed that her style would be affirmed by high-street copies-after all, copying is the sincerest form of flattery. 5. Chanel changed the concept of costume jewellery. It was not an original idea of Chanel's. Whereas Poiret had pioneered the original idea of costume jewellery, it was Chanel's avant-garde way with it not to mention her usual deceptive simplicity and supreme artistry that made costume jewellery evolve a successful and lucrative part of the fashion industry.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the general characteristics of modem library which was in a germinal stage at the opening period of Korea. The major findings of this study is summarized as follows. 1. Modern libraries which began to develop during the opening period of Korea were deeply rooted in the spirit of patriotism. After 1905, which was the year of so-called Korean-Japanese Protocal concluded under the Japanese military pressure, the patriotic enlightenment campaign against foreign penetration developed rapidly throughout the country. Accordingly, the movement for establishing modern library was carried out among advanced reformers. 2. The first modern school library was built in the private school of Wonan established by the residents of Wonsan area. They believed that the best way to strengthen the national power to oppose Japanese penetration was to learn the Western culture and technology. 3. The first modern public library named The Central Library of Korea was originated by Oh Ha Young and his comrade in 1906. Included among these promoters of the library were Yun Chi Ho and Min Sang Ho, two persons who had experienced Western culture during their study abroad. 4. Pakmunkuk, the newspaper office of the government, had its own library in 1883 which was the first modernized special library in Korea. 5. Major factors which hindered the rapid growth modern libraries m the opening period are as follows; (1) Lack of people's demand fer the library. (2) Limited scope of the publications(mainly school text-books) (3) Poor financial conditions. 6. Japanese invasion in 1910 had broken the growing roots of modern libraries in formative stage.

The business is faced with the situation must improve a power in an increasingly competitive environment due to the recent rapid advance in information technology and the opening and expansion of global market, fast technological change, and various customer demand. The rapid change in information technology is having an effect on not only all the processes to develop products, but information contents that is provided for the purpose of customer value, and the appearance of products. In other words, the information technology is being recognized as a very important factor among other factors for companies to enhance their competitiveness. In addition, it is more efficient to focus on key factor to maintain the competitive advantage on the using of information technology by outsourcing information systems, rather than by operating the systems under their own. Since the global financial crisis, the long-term recession has been increasing companies who is ready to adopt outsourcing or adopted already. This study is to understand the environment and unique characteristics of outsourcing services and related industries focusing on information system operation and management in information outsourcing services, and is to set the concept needed through my theory that is connected to the service quality and customer satisfaction. A lot of business wiew the improvement of service quality and ensuring customer satisfaction as the major factors of business growth, and lots of ongoing studies have focused on service management in the Information outsourcing service industry. Yet few studies have ever concentrated on the quality of information system operation management service. This study, moreover, is to define the quality of service related with customer satisfaction from customer's viewpoint, measuring effects on customer satisfaction. The quality of outsourcing service on information system in this study is a great help to companies who are offering information outsourcing service, and company's managers and staffs who outsourcedto specialized company.
Recently the tourism industry has achieved rapid growth and thus stands out as a means for the improvement of international payments and the acquirement of foreign currency. In particular, the hotel and major tourist travel industries have been developed for the inducement of foreign tourists. However, the manu-facturing and sales indust\ulcornerries of tourism folklore haven't developed. The reason is that the endeavor to attract tourists has been more emphasized than the development of tourism folklore which includes chief shopping items and indust-rialization. Tourism folklore plays a great role not only as material evidence of a tourist's visit to a country or region but also as a gift and a souvenir. Also it represents the image and the degree of the industrial development of the nation, so it should be congruent with the nature and the images of the region. Nevertheless, our tourism folklore has been merely mass produced by specific companies that do not represent the region's image and nature in their products. Tourism folklore development can raise the image of Choongnam and serve as a catalyst to induce tourists. Also, it can be an avenue for com$$\mu$ity publicity and industrialization. Thus, this study has examined and analyzed original products made with textiles and metal materials whether can be developed into tourism folklore. Also this study presents the example of developed tourism folklore works in a foreign country. It tries to give the unique symbolic image of Choongnam by developing the original products with Choongnam' s own materials. However, this study has shown that the actual conditions of tourism folklore development in Choongnam are seriously inferior to other industries. The producers are limited. Moreover, the product items are coarse. Many problems are being brought up which should be improved. Hereafter, to develop Choongnam's own tourism folklore, it should be carried out with financial and political support from the government, design development by industrial circles, professional design training and marketing research by the sellers.
This study was attempted to identify the liquidity trends and determinants of private hospitals in Korea different. Data used in this study were collected from 98 hospitals with complete general data of present conditions as well as financial statements(balance sheets, income statements). They were chosen from hospitals that passed the standardization audit undertaken by the Korean Hospital Association from 1996 to 2000 for the purpose of accrediting training hospitals. The dependent variables in this study were used current ration and quick ratio as a proxy indicator for liquidity. The independent variables were ownership type, hospital type, location, bed size, period of establishment, short-term liabilities to total assets, long-term liabilities to total assets, borrowings to total assets, fixed asset ration, net profit to total assets, operating margin to gross revenue, growth rate of net worth to total assets, total asset turnover, and business risk(volatility of profit). The major findings of this study were as follows. Trends of liquidity(current ratio, quick ratio) had been continuously decreased. Especially, There were very distinct decreasing trends of personal hospitals and less than 300beds, which weakened liquidity. The factors had significant effect on current ratio were short-term debt to total assets(-), fixed asset ratio(-), business risk(+). High short-term debt to total assets, high fixed asset ratio and high business risk significantly decreased in liquidity. The factors that significantly affected on quick ratio were short-term debt to total assets(-), borrowings to total assets(+), fixed asset ratio(-), business risk(+).
University-industry cooperation is indispensable for a short-term problem solving, as well as sustainable growth in the economy of the Republic of Korea. In order to embody and implement that, the government has run a variety of financial assistance programs and policies for the promotion of the cooperation for the last 10 years, and Korea Sanhak Foundation has made progress in academic and research development support, creative personnel training and scholarships, International Support and other projects. In this paper, window-type university-industry convergence and practices, and analyzing the best practices of national and international IT-based fusion technology, corporate cooperation were established to support measures taken in conjunction type and model of the university. Industry utilizing the latest IT technology based on this model, academia, proposed a collaboration system between workers building measures.

The economic growth rate and the urban population of the Vietnam are steadily increasing. As a result, the size of the Vietnam's construction market for infrastructure development is expected to increase. However, Vietnam is adopting PPP(Public-Private Partnership) to solve this problem because the government lacks the financial and administrative capacity for infrastructure development. PPP is a business that lasts more than 10 years, so risk management is very important because it can be a long term damage in case of business failure. This study proposes a self-organization map (SOM) for analyzing the impact of risk factors and determining the priority of them. SOM is a visualization analysis method that analyzes the inherent correlation through the color pattern of each factor.
To study the business performance, this research reviewed the revenue of 2012 for shipping and logistics companies in Korea, then selected 10 shipping companies and 10 logistics companies according to annual sales amount. These 20 companies are divided into four groups considering their business structure and their financial performance are organized from 2005 to 2012. Then CCR, BCC model has been applied to static efficiency and dynamic changes in productivity for analysis. As an overall result, logistics companies are proven to be better than shipping company in efficiency, change of productivity, growth and profitability. Among the logistics companies, the performance of second party logistics companies are relatively better in those factor above than the third party logistics companies.
The retail industry has been coping with changes in the retail market environment for the past decade or so. Using a total of 14 companies, this study aims to reveal the effect of differences in sales channels and retail business styles on the management performance of retail companies. The financial statements of these companies were used to analyze the five key indicators of their management performance. As research variables, sales channels, retail business style and business period were used as factors affecting their management performance. ANOVA or MANOVA was performed to test differences in management performance between groups according to the number of factors. The effect of three factors on the management performance of retail companies was found to be significant. The multi-comparison test revealed significant differences among retail business styles in terms of the five key indicators. TV home-shopping performed better than others in terms of stability and profitability. Internet and mobile shopping companies performed poorly in terms of profitability compared to others and performed higher than department stores in terms of growth, activity, and productivity.
When people contact the government they can use a variety of channels. That is, they go in person to an office, use a telephone service, access information via the Internet, send a letter, or use a third party. Since the Australian Government first recognised the potential of online technology to improve service delivery in its 1997 Investing for Growth statement, it has articulated its policies and strategies for e-government in a number of papers. E-government involves government agencies delivering better programs and services online through the use of new information and communication technologies. The policy papers included Government Online-The Commonwealth's Strategy, launched in April 2000, and a new framework for e-government, Better Services. Better Government, launched in November 2002. Most recently, the Government released Australia's Strategic Framework for the Information Economy in July 2004. These papers outlined the broad directions and priorities for the future of e-government in Australia, and sought to maintain the momentum of agencies' actions under Government Online. One of its key objectives was for agencies to achieve greater efficiency in providing services and a return on their investments in ICT (Information and Communication Technology)-based service delivery. They also stated that investing in e-government should deliver tangible returns, whether they take the form of cost reductions, increased efficiency and productivity, or improved services to business and the broader community Implementation of the Government policy has led to considerable agency investment in ICT-based service delivery. However government policy also requires managers to ensure that program and service delivery is efficient and effective. Efficient and effective use of ICT has the potential to improve service delivery and to make financial savings. This paper outlines how people are using the channels to contact the government in Australia. It also examines the level of satisfaction they have with those services and their preferences and expectations. In addition, this paper aims at identifying the methods used by Australian Government to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of their delivery of services, and at assessing the adequacy of these methods.
