Micro small business start-ups are receiving financial and marketing support from government or public authority, but business closure rate is very high and it causes a hugh burden to households and national economy. This study aims to verify the causal relationship between the self-determination characteristic of small business start-ups and entrepreneurial intention through learning orientation and innovation ability. The man's intrinsic motivation of self-determination theory is expected to have an impact on the entrepreneurial intention of small business start-ups. The self-determination theory includes perceived autonomy, perceived competence, perceived relationship as independent variables. This study presented a research model for explaining the entrepreneurial intention of small business start-ups, and collected 260 survey responses from the small business start-ups In order to validate the proposed research model, PLS analysis is performed with valid 246 questionnaires. By PLS technique, the measurement reliability and validity of research variables are tested and the path analysis is conducted to do the hypothesis test. Path analysis shows that perceived autonomy does not significantly affect the learning orientation and innovation ability. On the other hand, perceived competence significantly influences learning orientation and innovation ability. Perceived relationships had significant influence on learning orientation. It is found that the parameters of learning orientation and innovation ability significantly influence the dependent variable of entrepreneurial intention. Based on the results, a policy and strategy for supporting small business start-up are presented.

The limited public funds available for infrastructure projects have led governments to consider private entities' participation in long-term contracts for finance, construction, and operation of these projects to share risks and rewards between the public and the private. Because these projects have complicated risk evolutions, diverse contractual forms for each project member to hedge risks involved in a project are necessary. In light of this, Build-Operate-Transfer(BOT) model is considered as effective to accomplish Public Private Partnerships(PPPs) with a characteristic of an ownership-reversion. In BOT projects, the government has used such an incentive system as minimum revenue guarantee(MRG) agreement to attract the private's participation. Although this agreement turns out critical in success of BOT project, there still exist problematic issues in a financial feasibility analysis since the traditional capital budgeting theory, Net Present Value(NPV) analysis, has failed to evaluate the contingent characteristic of MRG agreement. The purpose of this research is to develop real option model based on option pricing theory so as to provide a theoretical framework in valuing MRG agreement in BOT projects. To understand the applicability of the model, the model is applied to the example of the BOT toll road project and the results are compared with that by NPV analysis. Finally, we found that the impact of the MRG agreement is significant on the project value. Hence, the real option model can help the government establish better BOT policies and the developer make appropriate bidding strategies.
In the age of globalization, effective and efficient corporate management is becoming more important as domestic and international business circumstances changes. In the middle of endless changes in business circumstances, fast reaction to customers and market, and offering customized goods and service became essential. In this respect, CRM designed to utilize customer information scientifically and systematically, has become an essential system and marketing strategy to enhance corporate competitiveness. CRM has placed the importance of customers in the front of marketing and has focused every process and business minds on customers. Recent change in the market and the trend of establishing and introducing CRM system has lead us to concentrate on the introduction of CRM in the financial institutions. This study searched for several views about CRM in academic and industrial papers. Through theoretical approach on CRM, the background of the introduction of CRM, the purpose of CRM, the characteristic and application of CRM, and the expected effect of CRM will be discussed. This study is focused on financial institutions where CRM is widely used. And through documents about examples of the introduction of CRM, the status of the establishment of domestic CRM and the necessity and trend of CRM will be discussed. Also the problem of CRM in the financial institutions and the improvement of CRM in domestic banks will be analyzed. When discussing CRM in the financial area, customers are the main source of corporate profit and through relationship management with the customers enhancing loyalty and maximizing profit can be obtained. Especially in CRM in financial institutions, maintaining existing customers makes higher profit ratio, so repurchasing and cross selling becomes important for obtaining lifetime value of existing customers who contribute to most of the profit of corporations. As a result, CRM should be completely customer oriented. CRM in financial institutions is not merely marketing work, but organizational competence which is made up of standardized work process through total process integration inside the corporation. Corporations which plan to introduce CRM should analyze the characteristics and conditions of corporations and establish purpose and strategy of CRM. And they need long term view to find out the factors which best fit for the introduction of CRM. To enable this, strategy composed of daily marketing activity and CRM concept is necessary. Also continued improvement through drill and training for operating organization should be followed to maintain CRM well. And corporate culture must settle customer as the center of corporate value. The race for introducing and improving CRM has already begun. CRM should not be regarded as a choice. It should be accepted as something essential. In this reality financial institutions should solve subdivision problem of customers and necessity of customers with the mind of 'customer's profit is my profit'. Customer focused management should not be emphasized only by words. Efforts like viewing from the customer's point must be nurtured to provide methods to help customers. That is, we should not just follow what is done in foreign countries. We should solve the problem of our customers according to the situation of our country, our industry, our corporation. Then we can gain the trust of customers, and the value derived from the customers will become the background of CRM which will lead the corporation to success.

Recently, as young and senior entrepreneurs are getting interested in starting a business, the domestic startup rate is gradually increasing. However, the survival rate of start-ups is so low. In this regard, this study empirically examines how the entrepreneurial intention affects both financial and non-financial start-up performances through the intermediation effects of experiential competence, financing competency, marketing competence and differentiated competitive advantage. In doing so, the purpose of this study is to find out the key elements to successful start-ups. To this end, the survey results of 200 start-ups in Pohang from January 21 to February 1, 2019 were used to test the research hypotheses. The results of the study are summarized as follows. First, it is shown that the entrepreneurial intention have a positive effect on the experiential competence, financing competence and marketing competence. Second, it is found that both experiential competence and marketing competence have significant positive effects on the differentiated competitive advantage. On the other hand, the financing competence has not been shown to have a significant effect on the differentiated competitive advantage, which might result from the characteristic of the data that most of the respondents are from new businesses. Third, it is shown that the differentiated competitive advantage has a positive effect on both financial and non-financial performances. In conclusion, the results of this study suggest a theoretical basis for the successful start-up performance. Namely, it is necessary for the founders of start-ups to secure differentiated competitive advantage through the entrepreneurial intention and the entrepreneurial competences such as financing competence and marketing competence because the differentiated competitive advantage leads to the successful financial and non-financial start-up performances. In addition, the results of this study suggest to both entrepreneurs and managers that for the successful business performance, it is important for them to make continuous efforts to come up with new ideas and to reinforce financing and marketing activities in order to achieve the differentiated competitive advantage.
Recently, financial companies are promoting chatbot services in line with the reduction of branches and the expansion of non-face-to-face services. However, it is difficult to expand the chatbot services at once in the presence of technical limitations and constraints of internal and external environment. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the various situations of chatbot service to preemptively identify problems that can occur in stages and seek solutions. This study conducted interviews with 12 field practitioners and researchers to examine the intentions and behaviors of financial chatbot service users and interpreted them using TPB. The study revealed the characteristics of 'feelings and attitudes' such as convenience or inconvenience from the chatbot experience, 'subjective norms' such as herd behavior or the yearning for empathy of others, and 'behavioral control' according to the recognition of difficulty or convenience of chatbot use process. This study shows that this characteristic can affect the intention and actual behavior of users to use chatbot service continuously. In the future research, it is necessary to empirically study specific intentions and influence factors for actual users.
The purpose of this study was to analyze the number of university entrants influenced by the population decline of school age, to discuss the major issues of university restructuring policy initiated by government, and to suggest the mid- to long-term policy agenda on university restructuring. According to the analysis of university enrollment changes, university enrollment quota will decrease to 29% of year 2013. And the ratio of private university enrollment and the entrants of universities in the metropolitan areas will increase. Under these circumstances, it is highly concerned that high school graduates will be more concentrated to private universities located in the metropolitan areas. The government policy on university restructuring have several problems on the direction, the pursuing strategies, and the negative impacts of it. This study suggested the new paradigm for the university development and also the alternative strategies such as the balanced development in universities, financial support system, school-to-work policy, university collaboration system, and an enactment of university development.

The purpose of this study is to analysis the concept of location efficiency, a base for the qualitative evaluation of TOD, and to propose the method of urban design for the improvement of location efficiency. Because of the environmental crisis by urbanization, sprawl and global warming, the importance of the solution through TOD has been increasing. For the future development of TOD, it becomes important to evaluate TOD qualitatively. From the study, it is grasped that location efficiency contains the concepts of value recapture, QoL and choice, financial return, and efficient regional land use and patterns. And the method of urban design for location efficiency is proposed as the followings: Form Based Zoning as land use plan, TOD and TOC model as node function, and street systems, mixed-use development, characteristic housing with various types, and networking of neighborhood facilities as place function.

Building classifiers for financial real-world classification problems is often plagued by severely overlapping and highly skewed class distribution. New performance measures such as receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve and area under ROC curve (AUC) have been recently introduced in evaluating and building classifiers for those kind of problems. They are, however, in-effective to evaluation of classifier's discrimination performance in a particular class of the classification problems that interests lie in only a local operating range of the classifier, In this paper, a new method is proposed that enables us to directly improve classifier's discrimination performance at a desired local operating range by defining and optimizing a partial area under ROC curve or domain-specific curve, which is difficult to achieve with conventional classification accuracy based learning methods. The effectiveness of the proposed approach is demonstrated in terms of fraud detection capability in a real-world fraud detection problem compared with the MSE-based approach.
In this study, we consider an efficient and accurate finite difference method for the four underlying asset equity-linked securities (ELS). The numerical method is based on the operator splitting method with non-uniform grids for the underlying assets. Even though the numerical scheme is implicit, we solve the system of discrete equations in explicit manner using the Thomas algorithm for the tri-diagonal matrix resulting from the system of discrete equations. Therefore, we can use a relatively large time step and the computation of the ELS option pricing is fast. We perform characteristic computational test. The numerical test confirm the usefulness of the proposed method for pricing the four underlying asset equity-linked securities.

This study aims to examine the characteristics of farming settlement in young farmers. In order to analyze the effect of each characteristic on young farmers' intention for settling into farming, an ordered logit model was employed. As for the individual characteristics affecting their intention for settling into farming, age and the highest education level showed a positive effect, while family-run farming had a negative effect, which was found statistically significant. For the financial characteristics, farm income had a statistically significant positive effect. On the other hand, the social and policy characteristics did not show any statistically significant effect.
