The growth of local fashion brands in Indonesia is interesting because of the speed with which new designs are made, many variants are created, and local brands are developed. However, when it comes to buying local fashion products, the brand isn't the sole consideration. As a result, the marketing effectiveness of local fashion brands needs to be examined more thoroughly. The purpose of this study was to understand more about brand authenticity and how it affects brand usage intentions. The unit of analysis in this study was Generation Z, who purchase from local fashion companies online. A quantitative research methodology was used. The data was analyzed using the PLS-SEM method to test the hypotheses with the dependent variables. The variables were the intention of using the brand, the quality of the brand relationship, and the authenticity of the brand. The results of this study indicated that brand authenticity had an effect on brand usage intent and brand relations quality mediates the positive effect of brand authenticity on brand usage intent.

The goal of this study is to see if the Coronavirus affects the Top 10 most valuable brands in various ASEAN countries (Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and Vietnam) and industry types differently. The data for this study was collected using a secondary data method (content analysis). Based on their annual reports from 2019 to 2021, the researchers examined the brand equity of the Top 10 most valued brands in each of the four ASEAN countries. IBM Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) Statistics for Windows was used to examine the data. Frequency, an independent T-test, and one-way analysis of variance tests were also applied to the data. The findings revealed considerable disparities between the Top 10 most valued ASEAN country brands in 2019-2020 and 2019-2021 due to the impact of the Coronavirus. Due to the influence of the Coronavirus, the data revealed no significant differences between industry categories. Future studies could look into the disparities between the most valuable brands and the influence of the Coronavirus over a longer period of time and include a larger number of firms and countries. Brand managers in ASEAN countries' Top 10 most valuable companies must carefully manage their brands to preserve brand life and reduce the impact of future global pandemics.

This study examines the relationship between social media marketing and brand loyalty through brand trust. Respondents were drawn from customers of McDonald's, Malang City, East Java Province, Indonesia. For this study, 130 questionnaires were distributed and data were analyzed using the Structure Equation Model (SEM) version 22 of the AMOS (Analysis of Moment Structure) application. The results showed that social media marketing had an impact on increasing McDonald's brand trust and brand loyalty. Brand trust influences brand loyalty and brand trust can mediate the influence of social media marketing on McDonald's brand loyalty. The findings prove that brand trust can mediate the effect of social media marketing on customer loyalty to McDonald's brand. These results can be explained by the fact that marketing strategies through social media marketing, such as making it easy for customers to get information related to McDonald's on social media, can contribute to customer trust and that trust is formed because McDonald's always pays attention to the quality of the products offered. Brand trust can mediate the influence of social media marketing on customer loyalty to McDonald's brand. This means that information related to McDonald's on social media is proportional to the quality of the product offered.

This study investigates the importance of professional models in the promotion of the corporate brand attitude through differentiated marketing strategies in the saturated low-cost carrier (LCC) aviation market. The attributes of professional models affect brand attitude and brand loyalty. The study seeks to identify the factors affecting brand loyalty through the contribution of professional models. The empirical analysis is based on a questionnaire survey conducted online and off line over a seven-month period, from January to July 2019. Some 292 valid samples could be used. The study conducted a positive factor analysis using AMOS 18.0 and a reliability analysis using SPSS 18.0. Reliability of measurement tools was performed using Cronbach's alpha. The attributes of professional models relating to airline advertising include: reliability, attractiveness and expertise. These attributes are shown to have a significant impact on brand attitude and brand loyalty toward LCCs. The findings reveal that reliability and expertise have a significant influence on the brand attitude and the formation of brand loyalty. Professional models' attractiveness has no significant impact on brand attitudes and brand loyalty. The mediating effect of professional models' attributes on the relationship between brand attitude and brand loyalty also show a significant positive effect.

This study aims to analyze how to increase the brand loyalty of BPJS Healthcare participants who are Muslim in Indonesia by increasing customer engagement and brand trust. This study is based on the premise that effective customer engagement is the first step toward gaining brand trust and loyalty. The five dimensions of customer engagement, namely enthusiasm, attention, absorption, interaction, and identification, were tested on how they affect brand trust and brand loyalty. This research was conducted by distributing questionnaires to 216 Muslim respondents who were BPJS Health users from six Islamic hospitals in Central Java, Indonesia. Data analysis was performed using a regression test with SPSS. The results showed that the dimensions of customer engagement consisting of enthusiasm, attention, and absorption had a significant effect on brand trust. Meanwhile, the dimensions of customer engagement which consist of interaction and identification, do not affect brand trust. Furthermore, brand loyalty can be influenced by enthusiasm, interaction, and brand trust. Meanwhile, attention, absorption, and identification cannot affect brand loyalty. Thus, the dimensions of customer engagement that can directly affect brand loyalty are enthusiasm and interaction, while those that affect indirectly (through brand trust), are enthusiasm, attention, and absorption.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship among the components of brand equity and to examine the effects of these components on the overall customer-based brand equity from the perspective of the Generation Z. This study is applied in the case of Borobudur World Heritage Destination, which is in Indonesia. A survey questionnaire has been collected through purposive sampling from 167 Generation Z who have visited Borobudur World Heritage Destination. The research hypotheses were supported by the empirical test using a Structural Equation Model with AMOS. The result concludes that destination brand awareness has significant, positive effects on destination brand image and perception of destination quality; destination brand image has positive influences on perception of destination quality and destination brand loyalty; perception of destination quality has significant, positive impacts on destination brand loyalty. Except for destination brand image and destination brand awareness, the perception of destination quality and destination brand loyalty have positive and direct impacts on overall destination brand equity. In sum, overall customer-based brand equity of a world heritage destination in the context of a developing economy is directly influenced by only two components of brand equity, namely, the perception of destination quality and destination brand loyalty.

The goal of this research is to look into the relationship between social media marketing activities and brand attachment in the online marketing business, based on the indirect effect of perceived value and self-brand connections. For this reason, the study has used self-administered questionnaires to collect the data from 425 males from the major cities of Pakistan including Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, and Sialkot. Furthermore, based on the PLS-SEM technique the empirical findings show that social media marketing activities positively affect perceived value, self-brand connections, and brand attachment. Perceived value has a significant positive impact on brand attachment and mediates the influence of social media marketing activities on brand attachment. In addition to this, self-brand connections have a positive effect on brand attachment, and self-brand connections mediate the relationship between them. Thus, firms employing social media marketing activities successfully in their branding build upon a positive perception of the brand in the customer's mind resulting in customer attachment with the brand. This study can assist the e-commerce managers and brand managers in building strong customer attachment via perceived value and self-brand connections.

This study examines the relationship between brand authenticity, brand equity, and customer satisfaction. A total of 263 participants participated in this study. Participants rated a set of three brands: Apple, Starbuck, and Nike. Each participant rated the extent to which the items described his or her authenticity with the brands listed, the equity of the brands listed, and feelings of satisfaction toward the brands. This study employs confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling. The results indicate that 1) brand authenticity positively relates to brand equity, and 2) brand authenticity effects to customer satisfaction. The findings suggest that marketers can use the brand authenticity for assessment, planning, and tracking purposes to understand the authenticity of their brands for their customers. Products of authenticity brand are better liked, viewed as higher quality, offer greater value and are more likely to be purchased than less authenticity brand. They can command a significant price premium. The findings provide useful support and evidence for brand management, as well as companies in other developing countries, to engage more in brand practices as a core element of their strategic and brand management. This means that managers should work to increase perceptions of authenticity for their offerings.

The objectives of this study are (1) to review previous studies in the context of brand management in consumer behaviors using costumer based brand equity (CBBE) and theory of planned behavior (TPB) as the basic foundation of the study; and (2) to develop a comprehensive research model by integrating relevant research constructs using meta-analysis. This study reviewed a total 173 studies from 58 published papers with 40 journals during 1991~2014 and developed a comprehensive framework with 16 research hypotheses. The results showed that (1) brand image, brand personality, brand association, and subjective norm are the important antecedents of brand attitudes; (2) brand awareness, brand trust, perceived quality, and perceived behavioral control are the important antecedents of brand loyalty; (3) brand attitude positively influences brand loyalty, which further influences brand equity; and (4) brand equity positively influences behavioral intention. This study fills in the research gap by integrating more research variables into CBBE model, particularly to include the influence of social context on consumer behavior through TPB. These results indicated that the integration between CBBE and TPB is meaningful and the comprehensive model can explain more variances than that of the individual model. Limitations, and recommendations for future research in this area are provided.

Hand phones are standard paraphernalia among university students. Factors that motivate them to own the gadget would be of interest to both the students as well as marketers. Hand phone usage is an unexamined field in academic literature, this exploratory study attempts to investigate student purchasing motives in cellular phone markets. It also intends to know the student's satisfaction with the different services and its future impact on socio economic changes. In this study, undergraduates (n=336) were requested to specify their purchase criteria of hand phone. The instrument used in the study to collect feedback from the respondents contains a combination of open-ended and scaled questions, and some background demographics. The study employed content analysis, Pearson's correlation, and t-tests as the primary tools to analyze the responses. Results show that brand was rated as the most important factor in student purchase decisions. Other factors, arranged in decreasing order of importance comprise price, product quality, features, durability, availability, promotion, and post purchase service. Brand and price correlated significantly. It is also observed that there is very little difference regarding preference between brand and price in purchasing a hand phone. Marketers may formulate suitable strategies out of the findings to promote hand phones to university undergraduates in Malaysia by emphasizing at brands and price.
