Study on Satellite Vibration Control Using Adaptive Algorithm

  • The principal idea of vibration isolation is to filter out the response of the system over the corner frequency. The isolation objectives are to transmit the attitude control torque within the bandwidth of the attitude control system and to filter all the high frequency components coming from vibration equipment above the bandwidth. However, when a reaction wheels or control momentum gyros control spacecraft attitude, vibration inevitably occurs and degrades the performance of sensitive devices. Therefore, vibration should be controlled or isolated for missions such as Earth observing, broadcasting and telecommunication between antenna and ground stations. For space applications, technicians designing controller have to consider a periodic vibration and disturbance to ensure system performance and robustness completing various missions. In general, past research isolating vibration commonly used 6 degree order freedom isolators such as Stewart and Mallock platforms. In this study, the vibration isolation device has 3 degree order freedom, one translational and two rotational motions. The origin of the coordinate is located at the center-of-gravity of the upper plane. In this paper, adaptive notch filter finds the disturbance frequency and the reference signal in filtered-x least mean square is generated by the notch frequency. The design parameters of the notch filter are updated continuously using recursive least square algorithm. Therefore, the adaptive filtered-x least mean square algorithm is applied to the vibration suppressing experiment without reference sensor. This paper shows the experimental results of an active vibration control using an adaptive filtered-x least mean squares algorithm.

  • Application of the filtered-x Least Mean Square(LMS) adaptive filter to active noise control requires to estimate the transfer characteristics between the output and the error signal of the adaptive controller. In this paper, we derive the filtered-x adaptive noise control algorithm and analyze its convergence behavior when the acoustic noise consists of multiple sinusoids. The results of the convergence analysis of the filtered-x LMS algorithm indicate that the effects of the parameter estimation inaccuracy on the convergence behavior of the algorithm are characterized by two distinct components Phase estimation error and estimated gain. In particular, the convergence is shown to be strongly affected by the accuracy of the phase response estimate. Simulation results are presented to support the theoretical convergence analysis.

  • In this paper, a recurrent cerebellar modulation articulation control (RCMAC) has been developed for improvement of noise attenuation performance in active noise control system. For the narrow band noise, a filter-x least mean square (FXLMS) method has bee frequently employed as an algorithm for active noise control (ANC) and has a partial satisfactory noise attenuation performance. However, noise attenuation performance of an ANC system with FXLMS method is poor for broad band noise and nonlinear path since it has linear filtering structure. Thus, an ANC system using RCMAC is proposed to improve this problem. Some simulations in duct system using harmonic motor noise and KTX cabin noise as a noise source were executed. It is shown that satisfactory noise attenuation performance can be obtained.

  • This thesis presents a kind of active noise control(ANC) algorithm for reducing noise due to engine inside a car. The proposed control algorithm is, by using WP(Wavelet Packet), a one improving the instability due to delay of noise transmission and the lack of response ability for the rapid change of noise, which are defects of the existing FXLMS(Filtered-X Least Mean Square) algorithm. The chief character of this system is a thing that faster operation than the FXLMS is implemented by inserting WP in the secondary path. In other words, WP implements parallel operation. Then, the weights of filter in the adaptive algorithm will be updated faster. In addition, because WP have so excellent a resolution, they can process very minute noise. The efficiency of this control algorithm will be demonstrated in the matlab simulation and in the actual experiments by using a Labview program and a car.

FxLMS를 이용한 단일 센서기반 능동 반향음 제어 시스템 (A single sensor based active reflection control system using FxLMS algorithm)

  • 본 논문에서는 FxLMS(Filtered-x Least Mean Square) 알고리즘을 이용한 단일 센서 기반의 능동 반향음 제어 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안 알고리즘은 먼저 단일 센서 입력 신호로부터 입사음과 반향음을 분리하고, 분리된 신호들을 사용하여 반향음과 반대 위상을 갖는 제어 신호를 생성한다. 제어 신호는 센서 위치에서 반향음과 중첩되어 반향음의 음압을 감소시킨다. 적절한 신호 분리를 위해 반향 음향 경로와 제어 음향 경로가 필요하며 이는 swept sine 신호를 이용해 측정한 음향 응답으로부터 사전에 구할 수 있다. 효용성을 검증하기 위해 DSP(Digital Signal Processing) 보드를 사용하여 제안된 알고리즘을 실시간으로 구현하였으며, 공기 중 음향 덕트 환경에서 1 kHz 버스트 신호에 대해 반향음이 11.6 dB 감소함을 확인 하였다.

  • 이 논문은 NFxLMS (normalized filtered-x least mean square) 적응 필터기반의 실시간 ANC (active noise control) 무선 헤드셋에 관해서 연구한다. RMS (root mean square) 지연 분포를 측정한 후 채널을 보정해서 학습시간을 줄이고, 학습 시간동안 NFxLMS 필터 계수를 갱신해서 잡음 제거 필터의 수렴속도를 개선하는 방법을 제안한다. 제안한 방법을 실제 잡음 환경에서 이용할 경우에 짧은 학습 시간과 빠른 수렴속도를 가지면서 기존 잡음 제거기와 비슷한 성능을 가지는 잡음 제거기를 구성할 수 있다.

  • In this paper, a recurrent cerebellar modulation articulation control with praticle swarm optimization (PSO) method has been investigated for improvement of noise attenuation performance in active noise control system. For narrow band noise, FXLMS and RCMAC has a partial satisfactory noise attenuation. However, noise attenuation performance is poor for broad band noise and nonlinear path since it has linear filter structure. To improve this problem, a RCMAC with PSO is proposed and it is shown that satisfactory noise attenuation performance is obtained by some simulations in duct system using harmonic motor noise and KTX cabin noise as a noise source.

개선된 SLMS 알고리즘을 이용한 덕트 내에서의 능동소음제어 (Adaptive Active Noise Control in a Duct Using Improved SLMS Algorithms)

  • In this paper, active control of noise in a HVAC duct is considered. Most adaptive control filters have used FIR structures based on filtered-x LMS algorithms. But, the IIR structures are more desirable for the active control of duct noise in order to remove the poles introduced by the acoustic feedback and presented an algorithm to adjust the coefficients of an IIR filter using the recursive least mean square (RLMS) algorithm. A smoothed LMS algorithm is proposed to improve a convergent speed of filter parameters when the noise is wide band and power of input is time varying. And computer simulations have performed to show the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

  • 이 논문에서는 밀폐된 공간 내에서 발생하는 소음을 줄이기 위해 일종의 능동 소음 제어 방법을 발표한다. 제안된 제어방법은 WPFB(Wavelet Packet Filter Bank)를 이용하여 기존의 FXLMS(Filtered-X Least Mean Square) 알고리즘의 단점인, 소음 제어시스템 내에서의 소음전달의 지연으로 인한 불안정성과, 소음의 급작스런 변화에 대한 응답능력부족을 해소하는 방법이다. 이 시스템의 주요 특성은 소음제어 시스템의 이차경로에 WPFB이 삽입되어 FXLMS 알고리즘에 비해 빠른 연산이 수행된다는 것이다. 다른 말로 하면, WPFB는 병렬연산을 수행한다. 그러면, 적응 알고리즘 내에 있는 필터의 웨이트들이 더 빨리 갱신될 것이다. 또한 WPFB는 뛰어난 분해능을 가지고 있어서 아주 미세한 소음까지도 처리해 낼 수가 있다. 이 제어기법의 효율성은 simulation을 통해 증명될 것이다.

도로소음 입력의 ANC시스템에서 실시간 적용의 CLMS 알고리즘의 성능 (Performance of CLMS Algorithm for Real-time Application in ANC Systems of Road Noise Input)

  • Recently, many active noise control (ANC) systems, which employ the adaptive filter controlling method, have been reported for eliminating unwanted noise. ANC systems based on the filtered-X least mean square (FXLMS) algorithm have a problem with compensating the acoustic feedback of secondary route. It is difficult to apply the real time, because transfer function of secondary route must be measured by off-line method to solve this problem. In this paper, we propose the ANC system that applies a correlation LMS(CLMS) algorithm for improving a problem of transfer function measurement. The proposed algorithm is based on input of road noise. The proposed ANC systems have an advantage of real-time process without degradation of performance, although there are many calculation compared with FXLMS algorithm.
