This test method covers a procedure for measuring particle removal characteristic of equipment fan filter unit(EFFU) installed inside of semiconductor process equipments, FPD manufacturing equipments and so on. Since EFFU is a combination of air filter and the assembly of fan, motor and frame, the integrity of these parts is very important for the performance of EFFU. So a conventional particle removal test method for air filters is not suitable for EFFU particle removal performance. This test method defines an evaluation method for EFFU which is installed inside an enclosed space to remove particles that are generated inside process equipment. The particle removal performance of EFFUs is usually depending on the performance of filter media and air flow rate. To understand a performance of an EFFU, the filter media characteristic, air flow rate and the integrity of EFFU parts should be considered simultaneously. This test method is intended to demonstrate the system performance of an EFFU and successfully evaluated EFFU performance characteristics.
The radiopharmaceuticals are routinely injected to blood vessel for acquiring PET image. For this reason, It is imperative that they undergo strict quality control measures. Especially, Sterility test is more important than any other quality control procedures. According to the FDA guideline, It requires filter integrity test used in the processing of sterile solutions. Among several methods, we can decide to use bubble point test. We usually use vented GS-filters (Millipore co., USA) which are sterilizinggrade (0.22 um pore size) and are placed upper site on product vial. After the synthesis of $^{18}F$-FDG, solutions wet the membrane in filter and then go into the product vial. By all synthesis steps have finished, we can observe the presence of the bubbles in the product vial. Since we have started this study, we have never found any bubbles in the product vial. Because the maximum pressure intensity of the filter which has set by manufacturer is up to 5 bars, but helium gas pressure is up to 1 bar in our module system. So, we can make 5 bars pressure using helium gas bombe and increase pressure up to 5 bars step by step. However, it does not happen to anything in vial.
Reliability is an essential factor in a navigation system. Therefore, an integrity monitoring system is considered one of the most important parts in an avionic navigation system. A fault due to systematic malfunctioning definitely requires integrity reinforcement through systematic analysis. In this paper, we propose a method to detect faults of the GPS signal by using a distributed nonlinear filter based probability test. In order to detect faults, consistency is examined through a likelihood ratio between the main and auxiliary particle filters (PFs). Specifically, the main PF which includes all the measurements and the auxiliary PFs which only do partial measurements are used in the process of consistency testing. Through GPS measurement and the application of the autonomous integrity monitoring system, the current study illustrates the performance of the proposed fault detection algorithm.

This study proposes an improved AR-model based structural joint integrity monitoring method and a new damage sensitive feature using RMS values of impulse responses. The proposed methods were applied for joint integrity monitoring of a model scale 2-bay and 4-story steel frame structure and it was found that the AR coefficients could be more consistently estimated by adopting the band-pass filter and cross-correlation function to the raw acceleration signals and the joint damages could be successfully monitored by the proposed methods.
Measuring displacement response for civil structures is very important for assessing their performance, safety and integrity. Recently, video-based techniques that utilize low-cost high-resolution digital cameras have been developed for such an application. These techniques however have relatively low sampling frequency and the results are usually contaminated with noises. In this study, an integrated visual-inertial measurement method that combines a monocular videogrammetric displacement measurement technique and a collocated accelerometer is proposed for displacement and velocity measurement of civil engineering structures. The monocular videogrammetric technique extracts three-dimensional translation and rotation of a planar target from an image sequence recorded by one camera. The obtained displacement is then fused with acceleration measured from a collocated accelerometer using a multi-rate Kalman filter with smoothing technique. This data fusion not only can improve the accuracy and the frequency bandwidth of displacement measurement but also provide estimate for velocity. The proposed measurement technique is illustrated by a shake table test and a pedestrian bridge test. Results show that the fusion of displacement and acceleration can mitigate their respective limitations and produce more accurate displacement and velocity responses with a broader frequency bandwidth.
Fault detection and isolation (FDI) algorithms provide fault monitoring methods in GPS measurement to isolate abnormal signals from the GPS satellites or the acquired signal in receiver. In order to monitor the occurred faults, FDI generates test statistics and decides the case that is beyond a designed threshold as a fault. For such problem of fault detection and isolation, this paper presents and evaluates position domain integrity monitoring methods by formulating various pseudorange prediction methods and investigating the resulting test statistics. In particular, precise measurements like carrier phase and Doppler rate are employed under the assumption of fault free carrier signal. The presented position domain algorithm contains the following process; first a common pseudorange prediction formula is defined with the proposed variations in pseudorange differential update. Next, a threshold computation is proposed with the test statistics distribution considering the elevation angle. Then, by examining the test statistics, fault detection and isolation is done for each satellite channel. To verify the performance, simulations using the presented fault detection methods are done for an ideal and real fault case, respectively.
Industrial equipment, such as power plant, is required to operate reliably, continuously and economically under rather severe conditions of temperature, stress, and enbironment. To test structural integrity and fitness, ultrasonic nondestructive testing is used because of effectiveness and simplicity. In this paper, wavelet transform based least mean square(LMS) algorithm is applied to reduce the influence of the interference occurring between randomly positioned small scatters. The RUN test is performed to check the nonstationarity of the speckle noise signal. The performance of this new approach is compared with that of the time domain LMS algorithm by means of condition numbers, signal-to-noise ratio and 3-D image. As a result, the wavelet transform based LMS algorithm shows better performance than the time domain LMS algorithm in this experiment.
It is very important for ultrasonic test method to evaluate the integrity of the class I components in nuclear power plants. However, as the rltrasonic test is affected by internal structures and configurations of test materials, backscattering, that is, time invariant noise is generated in large grain size materials. Due to the above reason, the received signal results in low signal to noise(S/N) ratio. Split spectrum processing(SSP) technique is effective to suppress the grain noise. The conventional SSP technique. however, has been applied to unique algorithm. This paper shows that MPO(minimization and polarity threshold) algorithm which two algorithms are applied simulatancously, was utilized, the signal processing time was shorten by using the new constant-Q SSP with the FIR filter which frequency to bandwidth ratio is constant and the optimum parameters were analysed for the signal processing to longitudinal wave and shear wave with the same requirements of inspection on nuclear power plant site. Moreover, the new ultrasonic test instrument, the reference block of the same product form and material specification, stainless stell test specimens and copper test specimens block of the same fabricated for the application of new SSP technique. As the result of experimental test with new ultrasonic test instrument and test specimens, the signal to noise ratio was improved by appying the new SSP technique.
Complex materials are widely used in aviation industries where lightweighting is essential because they have lighter properties than metals. However, composite materials can cause defects such as internal void formation, poor adhesive mixing, and non-adhesive parts during the production process, and there is a risk of micro-cracking and interlayer separation due to low energy impact. Therefore, a structural damage test is essential. As a result, structural integrity monitoring using FBG is drawing attention. Compared to conventional electrical sensors, FBG has the advantage of being more corrosion-resistant and multiplexed without being affected by electrical noise. However, interloggers measuring FBG are expensive and have a large disadvantage because they are made on the premise of measuring large structures. In this paper, low-cost interloggers were designed for use in unmanned or small aircraft using optical switche, WDM filter, and LTFs, and compared to conventional high-priced interrogator.

It is important to obtain semen with good quality for efficient fertilization and pregnancy. To obtain these semen, various methods have been developed but most of these methods are time consuming and require costly equipment. Therefore, the objective of this research is to investigate the usability of column filtration system as quick and simple method to get sperm with better quality. Ejaculates were obtained from 5 dogs and analyzed with basic quality parameters before each filtration. Sperm concentration was adjusted to $5{\times}10^7/ml$ after dilution. The experimental groups were divided into non-filtered group(control) and filtered groups(glass wool, Sephadex 5% and Sephadex 20%). Ejaculates were filtered through each filter system and assessed by recovery rate of sperm, motility, normal morphology, CFDA/PI stain and plasma membrane integrity(hypo-osmotic swelling test, HOST). The lowest recovery rate of spermatozoa was recorded in glass wool filtration group, followed by 20% Sephadex filtration group(p<0.05). There was no significant difference between control(non-filtered) and 5% Sephadex filtration poop. Also, there was no significant difference of sperm motility assessed under light microscope among experimental groups. Morphological normality of canine spermatozoa was the highest in the glass wool filtration group and the lowest in the 5% Sephadex filtration group with no significant differences versus 20% Sephadex filtration and control group, respectively(p<0.05). Viability of canine sperm assessed by CFCA/PI staining was the highest in the glass wool filtration poop with no significant difference versus the control group, and the lowest in the 20% Sephadex filtration group with no significant difference versus 5% Sephadex filtration group, respectively(p<0.05). HOS values of canine sperm was the highest in the 20% Sephadex filtration group with no significant difference versus 5% Sephadex filtration group, and the lowest in the control poop with no significant difference versus glass wool filtration group, respectively(p<0.05). Therefore, these results indicated that filtration treatment for extended canine sperm would be useful method to get sperm with better quality by trapping the damaged sperm, consequently filter would be physical barrier against injured or immotile sperm.
