The constituents of Ranunculaceae plants are summerized from more than one hundred of papers. Fifteen steroidal alkaloids, thirty two of terpenoids (diterpenes and triterpenes), fifty four isoquinoline alkaloids are recorded. Thirty three papaverines, eighteen berberines, and three hydrastines belong to isoquinoline group. Besides, of alkaloids a number of glycosides are also found. Adonis glycoside, famous cardiotonics, from Adonis and cyanogenin glycoside and calthoside D were identified from the leaves of Thalictrum aquilegifolium and Caltha silvestris. Anemonin, the irritating substance, found in Pulsatilla grandiz $W_{ENDER}$. Kaempf-erol and dihydrokaempferol were isolated and identified from the leaves of Clematis brachyura ^M_{AXIMOWICZ}$ by author in 1968.

Control effect of acidified nutrient solution on bacterial wilt of tomato plants was tested by examining the degree of bacterial growth inhibition and plant damage due to the acidity. Ralstonia solanacearum, the causal bacterium of bacterial wilt of tomato plants, showed 105 times population reduction when the bacterium was cultured in the acidified nutrient solution (pH 3.5∼4.0). However, fruit yields were decreased only fifteen to twenty percents. These results suggest that control of the bacterial wilt of tomato plants may be possible with supplying acidified nutrient solution.

This paper presents the results of static crushing test that was conducted to characterize the energy absorption and collapse characteristics of composite box tubes. Fifteen specimens were fabricated with woven fabric prepreg using [0/90] glass/epoxy and were autoclave cured. Quasistatic compression test was performed on them. Collapse mode and energy absorption capacity vary significantly as a function of the thickness and length of a square side of composite box tube.

Fifteen species in 10 families of Opisthobranchia were collected from Ulung and Dog-do Islands, Korea. Eight species of them, Cadlina japonica Baba, Aldisa cooperi Robilliard & Baba, Dendrodoris denisoni (Angas), Tritonfu festive (Steams), Notobryon mardi Odhner, Hermissendo crussicornis (Eschscholtz), Sakuraeolis monesto (Bergh) and Protaeolidiella atru Baba were not recorded in Korean waters previously. In addtion to these 8 species, 5 species of Aplvsia purvufa Guilding in Miirch, Bethellino citrine (Riippell & Leuckart), Pfeurobronchoeo iaponica Thiele, Chromodoris tinctorio (Ri'spell & Leuckart), and Hypselodoris festive (A. Adams) are new to the fauna of Ullung and Dog-do Islands.

One of projects of this institute is phytochemical survey of the herb drugs in Korea for further study. A hundred and fifteen species of plants which are used currently as herb drugs in Korea were screened on the presence of alkaloids, phenolic compounds, flavonoids, chalcones, lactones, glucosides, carbohydrates, terpenoids, steroids, proteins, polypeptides, saponins, and organic acids, and the most reliable presence of alkaloids was detected by paper chromatography. In this paper, presence of alkaloids is also tabulated after screening other 50 species.

Fifteen species of water mites belonging to the genus Atums are reported from the eastern area of Korea, with the following five of them described as new species: Aturus glaberus, A. parauarus, A. quodrotus, A. sankveriensis, and A. trifurcatus, n. sap. A. complexus Sokolow and A. tewaconfusensis Habeeb, both new records for Korean fauna, are re-described.

This paper investigated the MIS curriculum of fifteen four-year universities in South Korea. The data for analyses was collected from the university catalogues, questionnaire, and telephone interviews. Based on the data collected, this paper reported the current status of domestic MIS departments and analyzd the curriculum using the conceptual framework. The research results were discussed in terms of three issues : (1) the operations of MIS curriculum, (2) the sequences of selected MIS courses, (3) the course titles. This papers finally discussed the limitations of the current study and the future research directions.

For the policy makers and managers as well as the workers at work, it is important to identify what affects, to what extent, the safety level and costs of work sites. Within this context, the author analyzes fifteen construction work sites of the Incheon International Airport from 1996 to 1999 and shows that the expenditures for safety personnel and education programs contribute to reducing industrial accident costs. In addition, the author demonstrates that the regression analysis out-performs Heinrich method in estimating the accident costs of those work sites.
