  • An easier implementation method of the field oriented control of induction machine using Matlab/Simulink dSpace board is proposed in this paper. Space Vector PWM and Indirect Fied Oriented Control Algorithm is designed for the help of Simulink. And this system is simultaneously simulated and experimented in Matlab/Simulink environment with dSpace borad (DS1102). It is possible that Matlab and dSpace board compiler can make $'^*.c'$ and $'^*.obj'$ file of models designed in Matlab/Simulink environment automatically. Experimental results are given.

  • This paper presents the vector control of single phase induction motor(SPIM) to operate water pumping system using PV system with a maximum power point tracking(MPPT). The water pumping system uses a variable speed SPIM driven a centrifugal pump by field oriented control(FOC) inverter. The MPPT using a DC-DC converter controlled the duty cycle to track maximum power from PV under different insolation conditions. The duty cycle directly relate with a flux producing current control($i_{ds}$). The FOC inverter uses a current control voltage source inverter(CC-VSI). The simulation results are shown that the characteristics and performance of drive system, which varies as each conditions of light by expresses in voltage($V_{dq}$), current($I_{dq}$), speed of motor and torque.

  • Although the structure of brushless dc motor is similar to that of a Permanent magnet synchronous motor, its torque-speed characteristcis are the same as those of a permanent magmet dc motor. The brushless dc motor drive systemcomposed of power converter including inverter, rotor positioning sensor and controller has been investigated for the purpose of position control when the motor is fed by a current controlled voltage source inverter. The equivalent transformation of a brushless dc motor into an separately exited dc motor has been possible with the vector control (field oriented control) technique. It is shown in this paper that the position control of a brushless dc mitor can be done fairly accurately only using q-axis current.

  • High-performance Current Source Inverter (CSI)-fed, variable speed alternating current drives are prepared for various industrial applications. CSI-fed Induction Motor (IM) drives are managed by using different control methods. Noteworthy methods include scalar Control (V/f), Input-Output Linearization (IOL) control, Field-Oriented Control (FOC), and Direct Torque Control (DTC). The objective of this work is to compare the dynamic performance of the aforementioned drive control methods for CSI-fed IM drives. The dynamic performance results of the proposed drives are individually analyzed through sensitivity tests. The tests selected for the comparison are step changes in the reference speed and torque of the motor drive. The operation and performance of different vector control methods are verified through simulations with MATLAB/Simulink and experimental results.

  • This paper presents the implementation of two-arm modulation (TAM) technique for the independent control of a two-induction motor drive fed by a five-leg inverter (FLI). A carrier-based space vector pulse width modulation technique for TAM is proposed to generate switching signals for FLI. Two independent three-phase space vector modulators are utilized to control two motors. The motor drive system applies two separate indirect field-oriented control methods. The stationary voltage outputs from the vector control are synthesized in the three-phase space vector modulator to generate switching signals for FLI. The performance of the independent control of the motors and the voltage utilization factor are likewise analyzed. Simulation and experimental results verify the effectiveness of the proposed method for the independent control of the two-motor drive system. The proposed technique is successfully validated by dSPACE DS1103 experimental work.

  • This paper presents design of speed control system for slot less iron-cored PM linear synchronous motor using space vector PWM. the design must be considered by the useable limits of the DC link voltage and dynamic operating rage as well as the characteristics of design parameters in a point of system. Therefore, in this paper, the permissible operating range of manufactured motor by determination of rate speed and rate thrust according to switching scheme of DC link voltage are offered. The vector control requires information about rotor position. And we can need to the Hall sensor for sampling current. In order to agree with this purpose, Digital Signal Processor(TMS320F240x) developed for implementation of a speed Field Oriented Control.

  • LIM have mainly different point considering rotary induction motor, that is end effect. In this paper described that, end effect, adding to the rotary induction motor. They can designed because of affects magnetizing inductance and series resistance in the d-axis circuit. After LIM modeling, using SVPWM, apply to vector control this model. We can verify feasibility of field oriented control technology can control speed by simulation.

  • This paper presents the effects of rotor time constant variation and the on-line tuning algorithm of the rotor time constant. If the value of the rotor time constant is set incorrectly, the IFOC (Indirect Field Oriented Control)scheme exhibits deteriorated performance according to the wrong slip command. These variation effects of the rotor time constant are caused by the slip calculator where it is known that the rotor time constant play an important role in the aligned rotor flux. Using the two torque angles (stationary torque angle, rotating torque angle), the variation of the rotor time constant is identified, and the rotor time constant of the controller is tuned to the proper value of the machine. As the result, with the proposed algorithm, the dynamics of the deteriorated IFOC system, where the rotor time constant is varied, is improved. For the purpose of the validity of this proposed algorithm, the computer simulations and the experiments have been performed and the explanation of the results is presented. • This paper investigates the problem of the speed estimation of conventional speed sensorless stator flux-oriented induction machine drive in the field weakening region and proposes a new speed estimation scheme to estimate speed exactly in transients in the field weakening region. The error included in the estimated rotor speed is removed by not a low pass filter but Kalman filter.
