저가 탄소섬유용 Lignin/Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride 블렌딩 섬유의 제조 및 특성 (Preparation and Characterization of Lignin/Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride Blended Fibers for Low-cost Carbon Fiber)

  • In this study, lignin/chlorinated poly(vinyl chloride)(CPVC) blended fibers have been produced for the development of low-cost carbon fiber. Carbon fiber manufacturing was accomplished through stabilization and carbonization process. The lignin/CPVC blended fibers were prepared by wet spinning method. Dimethylacetamid e(DMAc) and cychlohexanone in a ratio of 5:1(wt%) was employed as co-solvent. The ratio of lignin/CPVC was prepared at 0/10, 1/9, 2/8, 3/7, 4/6, and 5/5(wt%). The spinning solution was extruded at a rate of 0.1 to 0.4ml/min according to the blending ratio. The speed of the rollers was the same for all ratios(draw ratio=1). Analysis of fiber cross-section by scanning eletron microscopy(SEM) showed that as the lignin ratio increased in the same coagulation bath and distilled water, the pore size of the spinning fiber decreased. Therefore, the highest tensile strength of the blending fibers was 6.3±1.2MPa at the 5/5 ratio. The carbon fiber also showed the best tensile strength of 120.78±2.43MPa at 5/5 ratio.

  • The branched polypropylene (b-PP) was prepared by melt blending process with initiator, antioxidant, and functional monomers to improve the melt strength through the melt grafting. The melt flow index (MFI) of the b-PP was increased with increasing the initiator content. On the introduction of the alkylamine as the branching agents the MFI of the b-PP was increased, while that of the b-PP with the pentaerythritol triacrylate (PT) was decreased. It may be caused by the chain scission of the i-PP backbone due to the reduced thermal stability of the i-PP on the melt blending. The MFI of the b-PP without the antioxidant was increased due to the chain scission occurred during the melt processing, while on the introduction of the antioxidant, the MFI of the b-PP was decreased. The crystallization temperature of the b-PP was higher than that of PP, which was attributed to the branched chain structure. It was found that the PT was the most effective functional monomers for enhancing the melt properties of the b-PP.

후크형 및 스무스형 강섬유의 혼합 비율과 변형속도에 따른 하이브리드 섬유보강 시멘트복합체의 인장특성 (Tensile Properties of Hybrid Fiber Reinforced Cement Composite according to the Hooked & Smooth Steel Fiber Blending Ratio and Strain Rate)

  • 본 연구에서는 후크형 강섬유(HSF)와 스무스형 섬유(SSF)의 혼합 비율과 변형속도가 하이브리드 섬유보강 시멘트복합체의 인장 특성 시너지 효과에 미치는 영향을 평가하기 위하여, HSF와 SSF를 각각 1.5+0.5, 1.0+1.0, 0.5+1.0vol.%의 혼합 비율로 혼입한 하이브리드 섬유보강 시멘트복합체를 제작하였다. 실험 결과, HSF를 보강한 시멘트복합체(HSF2.0)은 변형속도가 증가함에 따라 섬유 주변 매트릭스에 발생하는 마이크로 균열의 증가에 의해 직선형으로 인발되는 섬유의 수가 감소하고, 인장강도 점 이후 응력 저하가 급격하게 발생하였다. SSF가 0.5vol.% 혼입되는 경우, 준정적에서 마이크로 균열을 효과적으로 제어하지만, 고속에서는 마이크로 균열 제어 및 후크형 강섬유의 인발저항성능 향상에 효과적이지 않은 것으로 확인되었다. 반면, HSF 1.0vol.%와 SSF 1.0vol.%를 혼입한 시험체(HSF1.0SSF1.0)은 마이크로 및 매크로 균열에 대해 각각의 섬유가 효과적으로 제어하고, SSF가 HSF의 인발저항성능을 향상시킴으로써 고속에서 변형능력 및 에너지 흡수 능력에 대한 섬유 혼합 효과가 크게 증가하였으며, 인장강도, 변형능력 및 피크인성의 변형속도 민감도가 가장 높은 것으로 나타났다. 반면, SSF 1.5vol.%의 혼입은 매트릭스 내의 섬유 혼입 개체 수를 증가시키고, HSF의 인발저항성능을 향상시켜 가장 높은 인장강도 및 연화인성 시너지 효과를 나타내었지만, 매크로 균열을 제어하는 HSF의 혼입률이 0.5vol.%로 낮아 변형능력 및 피크인성 시너지에는 효과적이지 않은 것으로 확인되었다.

  • 현무암 단섬유로 강화시킨 시멘트 복합재료의 섬유장과 혼입률에 따른 인장강도와 굽힘강도의 변화를 고찰하였다. 인장 및 굽힘강도의 증가는 섬유장의 증가에 따른 효과보다는 섬유 혼입률의 증가가 더 큰 역할을 하였다. 또한 현무암 단섬유와 시멘트 사이의 우수한 계면 접착력은 물리적 성질의 향상에 좋은 영향을 미친다고 보여진다. 시멘트의 수화시 생성되는 알칼리 조건과 유사한 포화 $Ca(OH)_2$ 용액에서의 중량감소율을 관찰한 결과 현무암 단섬유는 3주 동안의 침지 후에도 매우 작은 중량감소율을 나타냈다.

  • Since the quality of final products is significantly affected by the homogeneity of powder mixture, the powder blending process has been regarded as one of the critical pharmaceutical unit processes, especially for solid dosage forms. Accordingly, the monitoring to determine a blending process' end-point based on a faster and more accurate in-line/on-line analysis has attracted enormous attentions recently. Among various analytical tools, NIR (near-infrared) spectroscopy has been extensively studied for PAT (process analytical technology) system due to its many advantages. In this study, NIR spectroscopy was employed with an optical fiber probe for the in-line monitoring of fluid-bed blending process. The position of the probe, the ratio of binary powder mixture, the powder size differential and the back-flush period of the shaking bag were examined as principal process parameters. During the blending process of lactose and mannitol powders, NIR spectra were collected, corrected, calibrated and analyzed using MSC and PLS method, respectively. The probe position was optimized. A reasonable end-point was predicted as 1,500 seconds based on 5% RSD value. As a consequence, it was demonstrated that the blending process using a fluid-bed processor has several advantages over other methods, and the application of NIRS with an optical fiber probe as PAT system for a fluid-bed blending process could be high feasible.

면섬유 고해 시 TiO2 혼합처리가 종이물성에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Beating of Cotton Linter Pulps with Titanium Dioxide on Paper Properties)

  • To improve the physical properties, such as swelling and flexibility, of the cotton fiber, sodium hydroxide or cellulase was used for pretreatment before the beating process. Titanium dioxide was blended during beating process to improve the fibrillation of cotton fibers and even distribution of fillers to cotton fibers. Blending with titanium dioxide during beating process, led to improve the tensile strength and beating degree This treatment also improved the opacity, resulted by well dispersed titanium dioxide during blending. By the blending of titanium dioxide during beating process, similar impact of cotton fiber with cellulase or sodium hydroxide pretreatment was achieved. To improve the tensile strength and opacity of cotton paper simultaneously, titanium dioxide blending in during beating process was found as effective treatment.

In Vitro 분해가 PLA/PEG 용융블렌드 섬유의 무게감량률 및 인장강도에 미치는 영향 (Effect of In Vitro Degradation on the Weight Loss and Tensile Strength of PLA/PEG Melt Blend Fiber)

  • PLA와 PEG를 사용하여 용융블렌드 방법으로 PLA/PEG 블렌드 섬유를 제조한 후 in vitro 환경조건인 pH7.4, 온도 $37\;^{\circ}C$의 완충용액에서 1~8주 동안 가수분해한 다음 무게감량률 및 인장강도 등에 미치는 영향을 검토하였다. 가수분해 시간이 1주에서 8주까지 증가함에 따라 블렌드 시간은 10~30분으로, PEG 함량은 5~30 wt%로 증가할수록 PLA/PEG 블렌드 섬유의 무게감량률은 증가하는 경향이, 인장강도 및 인장탄성률은 감소하는 경향이 현저하게 나타남을 확인하였다. 결론적으로 가수분해 시간 2주까지는 PLA/PEG 블렌드 섬유의 무게 감량률은 약 0.9% 이내이고 강도유지율은 약 90% 이상을 나타냄으로써 임계상처치유기간 중 양호한 강도가 유지될 수 있음을 확인하였다.

용출형 극세사와 저온 융착사를 이용한 인테리어 직물의 기계적 물성 개선 (Improvement of mechanical properties of interior fabric using soluble micro-fiber and low melting PET)

  • This research was made to manufacture the fabric for interior uses by spinning a low melting mono 4 denier PET staple fiber with a soluble 1.4 denier fine PET fiber. The blended yarn has a thickness ranging from 10's to 14's, and the soluble PET fine fiber was dissolved to make a pore in the polymer. Thereby a snap property was decreased and a resilience property was improved to be suitable for a functional synthetic leather. In order to attain the optimum condition, a mechanical property according to fineness, and mixing ratio of low melting polymer, warp density, weft density and blending ratio, and a heat contraction ratio according to blending ratio were experimented. The warp density, 220 T/inch of fine denier PET and the weft density, 64 T/inch of thick denier PET were generated to 4/4 both twill weave fabric having constant tensile property and thickness.
