  • The effect of bio-fertilizer, which was manufactured poultry manure, on the fall performance of Korean lawngrass was determined on a clay loam soil. Plant length was characterized by increasing the amount of bio-fertilizer applied. This trend was also true in dry matter yield of tops during the experimental period from August 31 through October 30. Both tiller numbers and stolon length steadily increased with increasing amount of bio-fertilizer applied, and 40m/t application of bio-fertilizer was found to be most effective on both components. performance shown on November 5 was prominent for both green leaf and root weights when the increased amount of bio-fertilizer was applied. Korean lawngrass had three times as much green leaf weight with 40m/t application of bio-fertilizer as with other treatments. Several functions of increment of above- ground part components caused by increasing root weight, which is greatly affected by bio-fertilizer application, was discussed. Turf quality was much improved by applying bio-fertilizer, indicating that this fertilizer might play an improtant role in respect of soil structure, water retention etc.

  • This study was conducted to investigate the application effect of liquid fertilizer using pig cadavers on potato and corn cultivations in upland field. Field experiments were designed with control (Cn), liquid fertilizer (LF), inorganic fertilizer (IF), and LF + IF treatments. Crop yields in potato and corn cultivations were higher in the order of $LF+I{\geq_-}IF{\geq_-}LF$ > Cn treatments. The potato and corn yields in LF + IF treatment were 237% and 29% greater than those in Cn treatment, respectively. Following crops harvest, soil status was improved, showing greater soil chemical properties in the LF treated areas compared to those in the Cn treatment. In addition, total $CO_2$ fluxes in LF + IF treatment during potato and corn cultivations were significantly increased compared with Cn and IF treatments. Therefore, these results suggest that LF application was effective on crop cultivation and improvement of soil fertility.

Root Barrier and Fertilizer Effects on Soil CO2 Efflux and Cotton Yield in a Pecan-Cotton Alley Cropping System in the Southern United States

  • Little information is available on soil $CO_2$ efflux and crop yield under agroforestry systems. Soil $CO_2$ efflux, microbial biomass C, live fine root biomass, and cotton yield were measured under a pecan (Carya illinoinensis K. Koch)-cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L.) alley cropping system in southern USA. A belowground polyethylene root barrier was used to isolate tree roots from cotton which is to provide barrier and non-barrier treatments. The barrier and non-barrier treatment was randomly divided into three plots for conventional inorganic fertilizer application and the other three plots for organic poultry litter application. The rate of soil $CO_2$ efflux and the soil microbial biomass C were affected significantly (P < 0.05) by the fertilizer treatment while no significant effect of the barrier treatment was occurred. Cotton lint yield was significantly (P < 0.0 I) affected by the root barrier treatment while no effect was occurred by the fertilizer treatment with the yields being greatest ($521.2kg\;ha^{-1}$) in the root barrier ${\times}$ inorganic fertilizer treatment and lowest ($159.8kg\;ha^{-1}$) in the non-barrier ${\times}$ inorganic fertilizer treatment. The results suggest that the separation of tree-crop root systems with the application of inorganic fertilizer influence the soil moisture and soil N availability, which in tum will affect the magnitude of crop yield.

초지에 대한 인산질비료의 시용에 관한 연구 I. 초지조성 및 관리시에 인산질비료의 시용이 목초의 수량 및 에너지축적에 미치는 영향 (Studies on the Phosphatic fertilizer Application Grassland I. Effect of phosphatic fertilizer at the establishment and management of grassland on the yield and energy value of grasses)

  • With a purpose of finding out the effects of phosphatic fertilizer application at the grassland establishment and management on the dry matter yield and quality of grasses, a field experiment was arranged with four treatments as a randomized complcte block design and lasted from September, 19 89 to October, 1991 in hilly area near Suwon. The results obtained are summarized as follows: 1. As a early plant growth. winter hardiness. growth vigour and coverage of grasses of the plots with phosphatic fertilizer were better than those of the plots without $P_2O_5$. and the effect of application at the management was much better than that at the establishment of grassland. 2. The effect of phosphatic fertilizer on DM yield of legume was higher than of grass. Total DM yield with phosphatic fertilizer at the only establishment (5.688 kg/ha). at the only management (8.014 kg/ha) and at both the establishment and management of grassland (1 1,082 kg/ha) was much more increased by 38, 95 and 169% than that without phosphatic fertilizer (4.1 19 kg/ha), respectively. 3. The chemical component of crude protein and crude fat with phosphatic fertilizer was a little higher, on the other hand, content of NFE was lower than that without $P_2O_5$ fertilization, but the contents of crude fiber and crude ash did not tend to differentiate between treatments. 4. Production of encrgy(TDN, StE and NEL) with phosphatic fertilization at the establishment and the management of grassland was appeared to increase by 34 to 390h and 72 to 99% than that without $P_2O_5$, respectively. Production of curde protein with $P_2O_5$ tended to be similar to production of energy.

수도(水稻)에 대(對)한 N-K복비(複肥)의 추비시험(追肥試驗) (Effect of potash top dressing and NK Compound Fertilizer on paddy)

  • 수도추비용시제복합비료(水稻追肥用試製複合肥料) (조선비료공업주식회사(朝鮮肥料工業株式會社) 제품(製品)) 17-0-17과 17-0-14의 비효를 밝히기 위(爲)하여 수도(水稻)아끼바레를 표식작물(標識作物)로 포장시험(圃場試驗)을 한 결과(結果)는 다음과 같다. 1. 정조(正租)의 수량(收量)과 질소(窒素) 및 가리(加里)의 흡수량(吸收量)으로 보아 시제복합비료(試製複合肥料)의 비효는 단비요소(單肥尿素) 염화가리(鹽和加里)에 뒤떨어지지 않는다. 2. 복합비료(複合肥料) 17-0-17 입제(粒製)는 비효가 완만하여 수비용(穗肥用)보다는 유효분벽기비용으로 가(可)할 것 같다. 3. N K 복비(複肥)의 추비(追肥)는 수량(收量)과 양분(養分)의 흡수량(吸收量)을 증가(增加)하고 시험후(試驗後) 토양(土壤)의 치환성가중함량(置煥性加里含量)을 증가(增加)한다는 점(點)으로 보아 시제복비(試製複肥)와 같은 비료(肥料)의 개발(開發)에 관(關)하여 적극적(積極的)인 고려(考慮)가 필요(必要)한 것으로 생각된다.

  • To utilize coastal aquaculture ground bottom sediment in which concentrations of harmful pollutants are low and organic content is high as an organic fertilizer alkaline stabilizers such as CaO, Oyster shell, Mg(OH)$_2$ were added to the bottom sediment organic additives of livestock or food wastes. Nutritive qualities of crude fertilizers were measured to examine effects of alkaline stabilizers and organic waste additions. The Mg(OH)$_2$-added crude fertilizer had significantly lower total carbon(T-C) and nitrogen(T-N) content, reflecting the dilution effect due to great amount of Mg(OH)$_2$ addition. However, the addition of oyster shell had no significant effect on the T-C and T-N content of the fertilizer. $P_2O_5$ and $K_2$O content was considerably higher in the mixed sample of aquaculture ground bottom sediments and livestock wastes than in the mixture of the sediments and food wastes, resulting from higher $P_2O_5$ and $K_2$O content in livestock wastes. Addition of Mg(OH)$_2$ increased the content of MgO In the crude fertilizer but significantly reduced the content of other nutritive elements such as $P_2O_5$, $K_2$O and CaO. Addition of oyster shell as an alkaline stabilizer seemed to have the advantage of saving time and expenses far dryness due to its role as a modulator of water content. Moreover, additions of effect Mg(OH)$_2$ decreased the concentrations of heavy metals in the fertilizer by the dilution while additions of oyster shell had no influence on heavy metal concentrations in the fertilizer.

수도(水稻)에 대(対)한 규산질비료(珪酸質肥料)의 잔효(殘効) (Residual Effect of Silicate Fertilizer on Rice)

  • 광재규산질비료(鉱滓珪酸質肥料)의 잔효(殘効)를 보기 위하여 서울대학교(大学校) 농과대학(農科大学) 시험답(試験畓) (강서(江西) 사양토(砂壤土) : Fluvaquentic Eutrochrepts)에서 4년간(年間) 포장시험(圃場試験)을 수행(遂行)하였다. 유효규산함량(有効珪酸含量)이 40ppm 미만인 토양(土壤)에 광재규산질비료(鉱滓珪酸質肥料)를 10a당 250kg 시용(施用)했을 때 17~18개월(個月) 후(後) 토양(土壤)의 유효규산함량(有効珪酸含量)은 130ppm으로 감소하였다. 토양(土壤)의 유효규산함량(有効珪酸含量)은 시용당년(施用当年)에 급격히 감소(減少)하고 그 후(後)의 변화(変化)는 완만하여 3~4년차(年次)에 90~100ppm으로 수렴(收斂)하였다. 규산시용(珪酸施用)에 의(依)한 증수효과(増收効果) 기대연한(期待年限)은 최장(最長) 3년(年)으로 생각되었다.

작목별 비료투입에 따른 경제적 효과 추정 (The Economic Effects of Chemical Fertilizer in Big Data)

  • This study analyze the economic effect of chemical fertilizer. We used the input and output data, and the analysis variables include production output nitrogen, phosphoric acid, potassium, seeds, and labor. The main results are as follows. First, for spring potatoes, potassium increases to a certain level of output, but over a certain stage, the output decreases as the input increases. Optimal use of potassium in the calculation of spring potatoes can achieve the effect of reducing input costs and increasing output simultaneously. Second, radish In autumn, nitrogen increases to a certain level, but over a certain stage it represents a reverse U-shaped relationship in which output decreases as input increases. This means that reducing the amount of fertilizer input increases the output. This means that soil-related agricultural big data can contribute to the management of nutrients and greenhouse gas reduction in agricultural land.

시비방법이 버어리종 잎담배의 농경적 특성에 미치는 영향 (Fertilizer Placement Effect on Agronomic Characteristics of Burley Tobacco(N. tabacum L.))

  • Recently the method of basal compound fertilizer (N : P : K = 18.2 : 9.8 : 35.0) Placement has been changed from banding to broadcasting in tobacco cultivation. The effects of the compound fertilizer placement, level of fertilizer and additional urea application on the agronomic characteristics, two chemical compositions and physical Properties of burley tobacco(Nicotiana tabacum L. cv. KB 108) were investigated at Chonju Experiment Station, Korea Ginseng and Tobacco Research Institute in 1995-1996. Six treatments consisted of (1) band (method of fertilizer Placement) + In kg/10a(compound fertilizer) + 0(additional urea applied), (2) broadcast+140+0, (3) broadcast+140+25, (4) band+180+0, (5) broadcast+180+0, and (6) broadcast +180+25. The additional urea was applied at hilling. No significant differences were detected between banding and broadcasting method of compound fertilizer Placement in field 9rowth, wield, organoleptic qualify(price Per kilogram), chemical composition and Physical properties of cured leaf, The increased compound fertilizer by 30%(40k/10a) or the additional urea application by 25kg per 10a produced slightly higher yield than the recommended amount of basal compound fertilizer without additional urea application did. It also increased the total alkaloid content of cured leaf. It is recommended that no more basal fertilizer above the recommended amount and no additional urea application are needed in burley tobacco fertilization, even though the method of basal fertilizer placement being chanced from banding to broadcasting.
