FEM을 이용한 원형 자유단조의 공정인자 영향에 관한 연구 (Effect of Process Parameters on Cylindrical Open Die Forging)

  • In the open die forging process, it is difficult to optimize process parameters such as die shape, initial ingot size, feeding pitch, rotation angle and other process parameters in the operational environments. Therefore in this study, 3D finite element analysis has been performed to obtain optimal process condition for open die forging process. FEM analyses at various feeding pitches and rotation angles provide process conditions to make round bar having precise dimensional accuracy.

  • Three-dimensional rigid-plastic finite element analysis has been performed to optimize open die forging process to make round bar. In the round bar forging, it is difficult to optimize process parameters in the operational environments. Therefore in this study, finite element method is used to analyze the practice of open die forging, focusing on the effects of reduction, feeding pitch and rotation angle for optimal forging pass designs. The soundness of forging process has been estimated by the smoothness and roundness of the bar at various combination of feeding pitches and rotation angles. From the test result, process conditions to make round bar having precise dimensional accuracy have been proposed.

공압실린더를 활용한 롤 피더의 간헐적 스트립 스톡 진행 정밀도 분석 (Intermittent Strip Stock Advancing Accuracy Analysis of a Prototype Pneumatic Cylinder Driven Roll Feeder)

  • This research introduces a new and improved design for a pneumatic cylinder driven roll feeder wherein each of the principal rotating feeder parts is configured so as to have feeding accuracy and to be low manufacturing cost. The feed pitch accuracy of the proposed roll feeder was evaluated by measuring lengths of cut offs of the strip stock with a shear attached to an air press. The air press was designed, manufactured, and mounted on the same table of the proposed roll feeder such that the strip stock maintained horizontal plane until the strip stock entered into the shear. The proposed roll feeder and the air press were designed to be operated automatically by a PLC employed controller. The feed pitch accuracy of the proposed roll feeder was analyzed by setting the pitch as 10, 12.5, and 15mm. At each predetermined feed pitch, the proposed roll feeder was tested 300 times as one test set and replicated three times. The average lengths of the cut offs of the strip stock ranged from 9.98 to 10.13mm, from 12.42 to 12.57mm, and from 14.96 to 15.06mm at the predetermined 10, 12.5, and 15mm feed pitch, respectively, among the total of 900 samples of each feed pitch. Main cause of variation of the length of the cut off of the strip stock fed by the proposed roll feeder was considered to be fluctuation of the air press during recompressing period of the air compressor to pressurize the air in the air tank. The largest difference between the maximum and the minimum length of the cut off was appeared while the air compressor recompressing the air. The air compressor used for this study restricted the air delivered to the proposed roll feeder while it was still running. Thus, this air delivery restriction problem should be improved by stabilizing the air press while the proposed roll feeder is running.

  • Recent trends for the miniaturization and weight reduction of portable electronic parts have driven uses of subminiature components. Assembly of the miniaturized components requires subminiature screws of which pitch sizes are micrometer scale. To produce such subminiature screws with high precision threads, not only a precision forming technology but also a high-precision measurement technology is required. The present study covers the development of a vision inspection system for precision screws for the automatic measurement of subminiature screws with high speed and reliability. In this study, the feeding unit that transfers the subminiature screws to the inspection unit is investigated through finite element(FE) analysis. The vibration characteristics of the feeding unit are predicted through FE analyses, from which we can determine whether the subminiature screw can be stably fed into the inspection unit or not. The effects of several design parameters on the vibration characteristics are also discussed.

초소형 스프링 정밀 측정을 위한 디지털 영상 처리 시스템 개발 (Development of System based on Digital Image Processing for Precision Measurement of Micro Spring)

  • The purpose of this paper is the development of an automated measurement system for micro spring based on the digital image processing technique. This micro spring can be used in various engineering applications such as filament, load bearing springs, hard disk suspension and many others. Main functionality of the micro spring inspection system is to measure the representative pitch of the micro spring. The derivative operators are used for edge detection in gray level image. Measurement system developed in this paper consisted of new auto feeding mechanism to take advantage of air pressure. In the process of development of the micro spring inspection system based on the image processing and analysis, strong background technology and know-how have been accumulated to measure micro mechanical parts.

무인이송로봇기반 자동 소사료 공급 시스템 개발 및 검증 (Development and Verification of the Automated Cow-Feeding System Driven by AGV)

  • 본 논문에서는 대형화되고 기업화되어가고 있는 국내 축산농가를 위한 AGV와 스크류컨베이어 기반의 자동 소사료 공급시스템에 대해 소개한다. 제안된 자동 소사료 공급시스템은 최상단에 펠렛형 혼합 사료가 적재되는 호퍼부, 호퍼부에서 펠렛형 혼합사료를 배출부로 이송시키는 스크류컨베이어를 장착한 이송부, 벨트컨베이어로 구성된 배출부 및 시스템 이동을 위한 전자 유도선 주행방식의 AGV로 구성되어있다. 적재된 사료 무게는 이송부의 하부에 위치한 로드셀에 의해 측정된다. 개별 우사 셀에 설치되는 RFID TAG에 미리 저장된 사료 배출정보를 시스템이 읽어 정해진 양만큼의 사료를 시스템이 주행하면서 배출하게된다. 공급 배출 테스트시스템을 제작하여 사료의 공급 능력을 결정짓는 사료 이송부의 스크류 외경, 스크류 샤프트 외경, 스크류 피치 간격 등을 포함하는 스크류컨베이어 설계인자 도출을 하였으며 도출된 설계인자들을 최종 공급시스템 제작 시에 적용하였다. 사료 급이시스템을 제어하기 위해 DSP기반의 주제어기 및 공급시나리오에 따른 급이알고리듬도 함께 개발되었다. 실험을 통해 국내 우사에 사료공급조건을 만족시키기 위해 설정된 목표인 5 m의 거리를 0.1 m/sec의 속도로 주행하면서 7 마리가 수용되는 한 개의 우사에 필요한 총 21 kg의 사료를 초당 420 g으로 균일하게 공급이 가능함을 확인하여 개발된 축우용 무인사료공급시스템이 규격화된 국내 축산농가에 적용될 수 있는 가능성을 확인하였다.

축류(軸流) 콤바인의 개발(開發)에 관(關)한 기초(基礎) 연구(硏究)(II) - 탈립과정(脱粒過程)의 수학적(數學的) 모형(模型) 개발(開發) - (Fundamental Studies on the Development of Axial-flow Combine(II) - Development of Mathematical Model of Threshing Process -)

  • This study was carried out getting basic data for developing a new combine which is suitable for the cultivating situation in Korea or Southeast Asia. The relation of the amount of unthreshed grains and the axial displacement of crop in threshing process was attempted to formulate mathematically in a threshing chamber of axial-flow threshing unit. It was found that unthreshed grain is an exponetially-decaying functon of axial displacement of grains based on available data. Threshing experiments were performed to validate the mathematical model by changing various levels of pertinent variables for malting barley. Good correlation were obtained between the theoretical calculation and observed data for various test conditions, such as inclination, vane pitch, concave length, drum speed, feeding velocity, stream weight, moisture content. Therefore the model can be used for general purpose to find the amount of unthreshed grain if the mean rate of occurence of threshing of kernels(${\lambda}_{\tau}$) is properly calibrated considering some other operating conditions and crop conditions which are not involved in this analysis.

냉각유로방식 변화에 따른 슬롯 막냉각에서의 유동 및 열전달 특성 (Flow and Heat Transfer Characteristics in a Slot Film Cooling with Various Flow Inlet Conditions)

  • An experimental investigation is conducted to improve a slot film cooling system which can be used for the cooling of gas turbine combustor liner. The tangential slots are constructed of discrete holes with different injection types which are the parallel, vertical, and combined to the slot lip. The investigation is focused on the coolant supply systems of normal-, parallel-, and counter-flow paths to the mainstream direction. A naphthalene sublimation technique has been employed to measure the local heat/mass transfer coefficients in a slot with various injection types and coolant feeding directions. The velocity distributions at the exit of slot lip for the parallel and vertical injection types are fairly uniform with mild periodical patterns with respect to the hole positions. However, the combined injection type increases the nonuniformity of flow distribution with the period equaling twice that of hole-to-hole pitch due to splitting and merging of the ejected flows. The secondary flow at the lip exit has uniform velocity distributions for the parallel and vertical injection types, which are similar to the results of a two-dimensional slot injection. In the results of local heat/mass transfer coefficient, the best cooling performance inside the slot is obtained with the vertical injection type among the three different injection types due to the effect of jet impingement. The lateral distributions of Sh with the parallel- and counter-flow paths are more uniform than the normal flow path. The averaged Sh with the injection holes are $2{\sim}5$ times higher than that of a smooth two-dimensional slot path.

축류(軸流) 콤바인의 개발(開發)에 관(關)한 기초(基礎) 연구(硏究)(I) -조선별장치(粗選別裝置)의 설계변수(設計變數)의 평가(評價)- (Fundamental Studies on the Development of Axial-Flow Combine(I) -Evaluation of the Design Parameters of Grain-Straw Separator-)

  • 우리 나라나 동남아(東南亞) 실정(實情)에 적합(適合)한 콤바인 개발(開發)에 관(關)한 기초(基礎) 자료(資料)를 얻기 위하여, 고정(固定)된 선별망(選別網) 속에서 로우터를 회전(回轉)시켜 짚 속에 섞여 있는 곡립(穀粒)을 선별(選別)할 수 있는 원뿔형과 원통형의 2 종(種)의 모형(模型) 축류(軸流) 조선별장치(粗選別裝置)를 제작(製作)하였다. 선별성능실험(選別性能實驗)을 통하여 여러 가지 설계변수(設計變數)가 선별특성(選別特性)에 미치는 영향(影響)을 조사(調査)한 결과(結果)를 요약(要約)하면 다음과 같다. (1)시작기(試作機)의 경사각(傾斜角)이 증가(增加)할수록, 또 선별실(選別室) 덮개 내표면(內表面)의 깃 피치가 감소(減少)할수록 곡립회수율(穀粒回收率)은 증가(增加)하고, 짚제거율(除去率)은 감소(減少)하였다. 선별망(選別網) 길이가 증가(增加)함에 따라 곡립회수율(穀粒回收率)과 전효율(全效率)은 지수함수적(指數函數的)으로 증가(增加)하였으나, 짚제거율(除去率)은 감소(減少)하였고 교반판(攪拌板)은 없는 경우(境遇)가 유리(有利)하였다. (2)로우터 회전속도(回轉速度)의 증가(增加)에 따라 곡립회수율(穀粒回收率)과 전효율(全效率)은 감소(減少)하였으나, 짚제거율(除去率)은 원통형과 원뿔형 시작기(試作機)가 서로 상반(相反)되는 경향(傾向)을 나타내었다. 또 공급속도(供給速度)의 증가(增加)에 따라 곡립회수율(穀粒回收率)과 전효율(全效率)은 감소(減少)하였으며, 짚유량(流量)의 증가(增加)에 따라 모든 효율(效率)이 감소(減少)하였으나, 전유량(全流量)의 영향(影響)은 그다지 크지 않았다. (3)짚낟알비(比)가 곡립회수율((穀粒回收率)에 미치는 영향(影響)은 그다지 크지 않았으며, 짚낟알비(比)가 증가(增加)할수록 짚제거율(除去率)과 전효율(全效率)이 증가(增加)하였다. 품종별(品種別), 수분별(水分別) 곡립회수율(穀粒回收率)의 차이(差異)는 그다지 크지 않았으나, 키가 작은 삼강벼가 곡립회수율(穀粒回收率)과 전효율(全效率)이 약간 높게 나타났고 소요동력(所要動力)도 적었다. (4)두 시작기(試作機)는 작물조건(作物條件)에 따른 선별성능(選別性能)의 변동(變動)이 비교적(比較的) 작았고, 콤바인 조선별장치(粗選別裝置)로서의 활용가능성(活用可能性)이 인정(認定)되었다. 원뿔형 시작기(試作機)는 원통형에 비해 곡립회수율(穀粒回收率)은 낮았으나 소요동력(所要動力)이 적고 짚제거율(除去率)이 높아 전효율(全效率)은 약간(若干) 높았으나 실험조건(實驗條件)에 따른 변화(變化)가 크게 나타났다.
