Voice user interface has become a commercially viable and extensive interaction mechanism with the development of voice assistants. Despite the popularity of voice assistants, the academic community does not utterly understand about what, when, and how users chat with them. Chatting with a voice assistant is crucial as it defines how a user will seek the help of the assistant in the future. This study aims to cover the essence and construct of conversational AI, to develop a classification method to deal with user utterances, and, most importantly, to understand about what, when, and how Chinese users chat with voice assistants. We collected user utterances from the real conventional database of a commercial voice assistant, NetEase Sing in China. We also identified different utterance categories on the basis of previous studies and real usage conditions and annotated the utterances with 17 labels. Furthermore, we found that the three top reasons for the usage of voice assistants in China are the following: (1) greeting, (2) function, and (3) music. Chinese users like to interact with voice assistants at night from 7 PM to 10 PM, and they are polite toward the assistants. The whole percentage of negative feedback utterances is less than 6%, which is considerably low. These findings appear to be useful in voice interaction designs for intelligent hardware.

Recently, we have proposed a hypothesis that spinal structures have a stress sensor driving feedback mechanism, In the human spine, spinal structure could react to modify muscular action in such a way so as to equalize stress at the disc, therefore reduce the risk of injury, In this analysis, abdominal muscle and abdominal pressure, which were not included in the previous study, were added to identify those effects in spine stability during upright stance posture for the case where the intervertebral disc plays the role of mechanoreceptor, The musculoskeletal FE model was consisted with detailed whole lumbar spine, pelvis, sacrum, coccyx and simplified trunk model. Muscle architecture with 46 local muscles containing paraspinal muscle and 6 rectus abdominal muscles were assigned according to the acting directions. The magnitude of 4kPa was considered for abdominal pressure. Minimization of the nucleus pressure deviation and annulus fiber average tension stress deviation was chosen for cost function. Developed model provide nice coincidence with in-vivo measurement (nucleus pressure). Analysis was conducted according to existence of co-activation of abdominal muscle and abdominal pressure. Antagonistic activity of abdominal muscle produced stability of spinal column with relatively small amount of total muscle force. In contrast to the abdominal muscle, effect of abdominal pressure was not clear that was partly depending on the assumption of constant abdominal pressure.

In this paper, we presents a scheme for the parameter estimation and optimal control scheme for apparatus of container crane system. For parameter estimation, first, we construct the open loop of the container crane system and estimate its parameters based on input-output data, a real-coded genetic algorithm(RCGA) and the model adjustment technique. The RCGA plays an important role in parameter estimation as an adaptive mechanism. For controller design, state feedback gain matrix is searched by another RCGA and the estimated model. The performance of the proposed methods are demonstrated through a set of simulation and experiments of the experimental apparatus.
The purpose of this research is to help IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) commercialization using newly produced educational contents in the area of entertainment and education which currently popular in the market. It is called, Stimulus $Tester^{TM}$, endow reaction time from the feedback of learning system, using a non-direct method, for example, a remote controller. Reaction time is the learning efficiency promotion mechanism that learner ascertain the learning condition of oneself by the time with solved questions from the solving the question in given time. Reaction time also play a key role that the learner may go through course which distribute the point to PC from Server. If this system is ready, we expect that the educational industry will gradually spread out. To verify the learning efficiency of this system, we concluded that the learning improvements, by an Internet-based and a paper-based test, of the increase by 51%, from 2.47min to 1.27min, during reaction of 7 days.
Objective: To know the effects of xenoestrogen on spermatogenesis, we investigated the expression of cytochrome P450s enzymes (CYPscc, $CYP_{17{\alpha}}$, CYP19) and $3{\beta}$-HSD genes involved in steroidogenesis. Methods: Mouse testicular cells were prepared from 15-day-old ICR mice which had only pre-meiotic germ cells by enzyme digestion using collagenase and trypsin. Testicular cells were cultured in DMEM supplemented with FSH (0.1 IU/ml) and 10% FBS or medium with estrogen ($E_2$), bisphenol-A (BPA), octylphenol (OP; $10^{-9},\;10^{-7},\;10^{-6},\;10^{-5},\;10^{-4}M$, respectively) and aroclor 1254 (A1254) known as PCBs for 48 hours. The gene expression of cytochrome P450 enzymes were examined by semi-quantitive RT-PCR. The production of estrogen and testosterone was examined by RIA. Results: As results, expression of CYPscc mRNA was not significantly decreased, but $3{\beta}$-HSD and $CYP_{17{\alpha}}$. mRNA were significantly dose-dependent decreased. And production of testosterone and estrogen were not different except BPA and OP group ($10^{-5}M$). Conclusion: BPA, OP and A1254 might inhibit steroidogenesis by decreasing CYPscc, $3{\beta}$-HSD and $CYP_{17{\alpha}}$. mRNA expression in the mouse testis. These results suggest that BPA, OP and PCBs like as an endocrine disruptors inhibit the productions of steroidogenic enzymes and decrease the production of T and E by negative feedback mechanism. Therefore, these might disrupt steroidogenesis in Leydig cells of testis and would disturb testicular function and subsequently impair spermatogenesis.
Purpose: Leptin has been considered a link between metabolic state and reproductive activity. Defective reproductive function can occur in leptin-deficient and leptin-excessive conditions. The aim of this study was to examine the effects of centrally injected leptin on the hypothalamic KiSS-1 system in relation to gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) action in the initial stage of puberty. Methods: Leptin (1 ${\mu}g$) was injected directly into the ventricle of pubertal female mice. The resultant gene expressions of hypothalamic GnRH and KiSS-1 and pituitary LH, 2 and 4 hours after injection, were compared with those of saline-injected control mice. The changes in the gene expressions after blocking the GnRH action were also analyzed. Results: The basal expression levels of KiSS-1, GnRH, and LH were significantly higher in the pubertal mice than in the prepubertal mice. The 1-${\mu}g$ leptin dose significantly decreased the mRNA expression levels of KiSS-1, GnRH, and LH in the pubertal mice. A GnRH antagonist significantly increased the KiSS-1 and GnRH mRNA expression levels, and the additional leptin injection decreased the gene expression levels compared with those in the control group. Conclusion: The excess leptin might have suppressed the central reproductive axis in the pubertal mice by inhibiting the KiSS-1 expression, and this mechanism is independent of the GnRH-LH-estradiol feedback loop.
There have been reports on the aberration of the control mechanisms of the blood pressure, hormone secretion, and renal functions in spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHR). However, the contribution of the renin-angiotensin system in the maintenance of high blood pressure in SHR is still controversial. Recently, it has been reported that the negative feedback short loop control mechanism of the renin-angiotensin system may be changed in SHR. In the present experiment, it was attempted to explore the possible alterations in the effect of arginine vasopressin (AVP) on the renal function in SHR. Experiments have been done in anesthetized SHR as well as in normotensive Wistar and Sprague-Dawley rats as control groups. Pharmacologic doses of AVP (10-13 mU/rat/10 min) decreased urine volume, excreted amount of creatinine and para-amino-hippuric acid. No differences in these parameters was observed between normotensive and hypertensive rats. AVP increased sodium and potassium excretion, but the responses in SHR were suppressed as compared with normotensive rats. Intravenous infusion of AVP also increased blood pressure in normotensive and hypertensive rats and a vasopressor effect of AVP was attenuated in SHR. There was a positive correlation between the changes in blood pressure and excreted amount of sodium during AVP infusion. These data suggest that the attenuated natriuretic effect of intravenous infusion of AVP may be due to a difference in renal tubular responsiveness to AVP but not due to a difference in vasopressor responsiveness.
One of the principal impediments to the achievement of a scalable access control for a large number of subscribers in a public broadcast is to distribute key update messages reliably to all stateless receivers. However, in a public broadcast, the rekeying messages can be dropped or compromised during the transmission over an insecure broadcast channel, or transmitted to the receivers while it was off-line. In this study, we propose a novel group key management scheme that features a mechanism that allows the legitimate receivers to recover the current group key even if they lose key update messages for long-term sessions using short hint messages and member computation. The performance analysis result shows that the proposed scheme has advantages of the scalable and efficient rekeying compared with the previous reliable group key distribution schemes. The proposed key management scheme targets a conditional access system in a media broadcast where there is no feedback channel from receivers to the broadcasting station.
Information providers on WWW have been rapidly increasing, and they provide a vast amount of information in various fields, Because of this reason, it becomes hard for users to get the information they want. Although there are several search engines that help users with the keyword matching methods, it is not easy to find suitable keywords. In order to solve these problems with a specific domain, we propose an intelligent information agent(HHA-la : HongIk Information Agent) that converts user's q queries to forms including related domain words in order to represent user's intention as much as it can and provides the necessary information of the domain to users. HHA-la h has an ontological knowledge base of animal domain, supplies necessary information for queries from users and other agents, and provides relevant web page information. One of system components is a WebDB which indexes web pages relevant to the animal domain. The system also supplies new operators by which users can represent their thought more clearly, and has a learning mechanism using accumulated results and user feedback to behave more intelligently, We implement the system and show the effectiveness of the information agent by presenting experiment results in this paper.
The regulations of renal function and renin release are influenced by neural, humoral and physical factors. During the last decade, considerable progress has been made in the identification and characterization of these extrinsic renal control systems. Mechanisms intrinsic to the kidney are also important for renal function. These include the autoregulation of blood flow, and the local control of renin secretion. Fundamental questions regarding the mechanism of these intrinsic controls remain unanswered. Recently, endogenous renal adenosine has been claimed to influence the tubuloglomerular feedback control and renin release. Two subclasses of adenosine receptors $A_1{\;}and{\;}A_2$ have been described. The present experiment was carried out to evaluate the effects of $N_6-cyclohexyladenosine$$(CHA,{\;}A_1{\;}selective)$ and 5'-N-ethylcarbox-amide adenosine $(NECA,{\;}A_2{\;}selective)$ on the renal function and renin release in the unanesthetized rabbit. Intra-renal arterial infusion of NECA $(0.3{\sim}10.0n{\;}mole/min/rabbit)$ or CHA $(0.03{\sim}10.0n{\;}mole/min/rabbit)$ caused a prompt and dose-dependent decrease in urine volume, glomerular filtration rate (GFR), renal plasma flow (RPF), filtration fraction (FF), electrolyte excretion and free water clearance $(CH_2O)$, the effect being much more profound with CHA than with NECA. The NECA infusion resulted in a profound decrease of systemic blood pressure, but the CHA infusion did not. Both NECA and GHA infusions caused a prompt and dose-dependent decrease in renin secretion rate, again the effect being greater with CHA than with NEGA. These results suggest that both $A_1{\;}and{\;}A_2$ adenosine receptors may be involved in the intrinsic control of renal function and renin release, and that the $A_1$ receptors plays a more important role than the $A_2$ receptor in the regulation of renal fnction.
