Development of superconducting high gradient magnetic separation system for scale removal from feed-water in thermal power plant

  • A Superconducting High Gradient Magnetic Separation (HGMS) system is proposed for treatment of feed-water in thermal power plant [1]. This is a method to remove the iron scale from feed-water utilizing magnetic force. One of the issues for practical use of HGMS system is to extend continuous operation period. In this study, we designed the magnetic filters by particle trajectory simulation and HGMS experiments in order to solve this problem. As a result, the quantity of magnetite captured by each filter was equalized and filter blockage was prevented. A design method of the magnetic filter was proposed which is suitable for the long-term continuous scale removal in the feed-water system of the thermal power plant.

  • In this study, the optimal feed system and process conditions that can simultaneously minimize each warpage occurring in the two shape features of the 2P Header HSG, a connector part for automobiles, were determined through injection molding simulation analysis. First, we defined each warping deformation of the two features geometrically and quantified them approximately using the injection molding simulation data. For design optimization, a full factorial experiment was conducted considering the feed system, resin temperature, and packing pressure as design variables, and a follow-up experiment was conducted based on the analysis of the average warpage. In this study, an optimal design was generated considering both the warpage result and resin-saving effect. In the optimal design, the warpages of the two shape features were predicted to be 0.18 and 0.29 mm, and these warpages were found to meet the allowable limit of warpage, which is 0.3 mm, for part assembly.

직립식 산란계사 내의 소음 진동 발생 현황 조사연구 (Study on the Characteristics of Noise/Vibration in the Upright Laying Hen House)

  • 국민의 소득 증대로 인해 육류 및 계란의 소비량이 점차적으로 증가하는 추세에 있다. 이로 인해 산란계사의 규모가 대형화됨에 따라 기계화되었고, 이 연구에서는 고단 직립식 케이지를 사용하는 무창계사에서 기계시설이 작동 시 발생되는 소음 및 진동이 산란계의 생산성에 미치는 영향을 구명하고자 산란계사내의 소음/진동 수준을 측정 분석하였다. 전국의 13개 산란계 농장을 대상으로 하여 평상시 및 기계시설(사료급이기, 사료분배기, 집란시스템, 환기장치, 계분벨트)의 작동시에 발생되는 소음/진동을 측정하였다. (1) 평상시 소음 최대 82dB, 진동 최대 0.2072 cm/s, (2) 사료급이기 작동 시 소음 최대 90dB, 최대 진동 2.8560cm/s, (3) 사료분배기 작동시 소음 최대 90dB, 최대 진동 2.022cm/s, (4) 집란시스템 작동 시 최대 소음 87dB, 최대 진동 0.1865cm/s, (5) 환기장치 작동 시 케이지에 미치는 최대 88dB, 계사 후면 벽면에 미치는 최대 진동 2.5364cm/s, (6) 계분벨트 작동 시 최대 소음 88dB, 최대 진동 0.2387cm/s 이었다. 따라서 산란계에게 직접적이고 가장 크게 영향을 미치는 장치는 급이 시스템이였다. 이 때의 소음은 최대 90dB로 가장 높게 발생하였으며, 진동은 최대 2.8560 cm/s 발생하였다.

  • This paper propose a study on the Feed Characteristics of Twist Friction Driver. We are using Twist Friction Driving mechanism system. The system consists of Twist Friction Driver elements such as driving shaft, driven roller, Spring for pre-load, Air bearing guide, Servo motor, and measuring devices such as Encoder of Servo motor, Laser interferometer, LVDT . The Twist Friction driver is mechanically simple and very quiet at high speed, and has low pre-load. So The Twist Friction driver can materialize an ultra precision feed-resolution. The feed characteristics of the driver is determined by slip and angular error, backlash.

  • A flexible disk grinding system process has been introduced that utilized varying disk orientation with respect to workpiece along with the applied feed speed. A known process model methodologies has been used to fomulate processed surface profiles. Various process conditions including cutting speed, maximum feed speed and orientation angles could applied to observe process outcomes. Even though continuous and constant feed speed has been applied to the process, the results from the trapezoidal input velocity profiles would be observed and compared. Based on the control strategies including neural network methodologies, several output results were compared to find the optimum process condition.

  • This paper deals with the position control fur a feed drive system in CNC milling machine, which utilizes a modified error signal for the elimination of steady-state error. A linear time-invariant (LTI) system has consistent properties in response to standard test signal inputs. Those also appear in an error curve acquired from the response. From such properties, constructed is an error model for the position control of the feed drive. And then added is the output of the error model to the current error signal. Consequently the resulting proportional control system brings performance improvement in view of the steady-state error. The effectiveness of the proposed scheme is confirmed through simulations and experiments.

  • This study was intended to develop the automatic feeding depth control system of the head-feed combine which could feed the rice head into threshing unit at the optimal depth regardless of plant height and uneven ground surface. In the control system, one-board microcomputer was used for the controller instead of conventional electric circuits. Field test of the combine equipped with the control system was conducted to evaluate its overall performance. It was also investigated how the location and time delay of rice head sensor affect the system performance.

복합공작기계의 이송계 운동정밀도 측정의 연구 (A Study on the Measurement of Motion Accuracy for Feed Drive System of Multi-task Machine Tool)

  • Recently, the machine tools called multi-task machines, which mounted rotary axes on the table or spindle are used increasingly. Accordingly, multi-task machine tool takes a growing interest on the motion accuracy of feed drive system. In this study, measurement and diagnosis of motion errors ware attempted from circular pattern obtained by using DBB (Double ball bar) device. Those were obtained at both clockwise and counter clockwise motions in mutually perpendicularly intersecting three planes. The reliability of error measurement system for multi-task machine tool was verified by the direct test cutting.
