  • In recent years, the opinion analysis is one of the key research fronts of any domain. Opinion target extraction is an essential process of opinion analysis. Target is usually referred to noun or noun phrase in an entity which is deliberated by the opinion holder. Extraction of opinion target facilitates the opinion analysis more precisely and in addition helps to identify the opinion polarity i.e. users can perceive opinion in detail of a target including all its features. One of the most commonly employed algorithms is a sequence labeling algorithm also called Conditional Random Fields. In present article, recent opinion target extraction approaches are reviewed based on sequence labeling algorithm and it features combinations by analyzing and comparing these approaches. The good selection of features combinations will in some way give a good or better accuracy result. Features combinations are an essential process that can be used to identify and remove unneeded, irrelevant and redundant attributes from data that do not contribute to the accuracy of a predictive model or may in fact decrease the accuracy of the model. Hence, in general this review eventually leads to the contribution for the opinion analysis approach and assist researcher for the opinion target extraction in particular.

  • In this paper, we compared and analyzed the discrimination performance of speech/music about combinations of each features parameter. Audio signals are classified into 3 classes (speech, music, speech and music). On three types of features, Mel-cepstrum, energy, zero-crossings used to the experiments. Then compared and analyzed the best of the combinations between features to speech/ music discrimination performance. The best result is achieved using Mel-cepstrum, energy and zero-crossings in a single feature vector (speech: 95.1%, music: 61.9%, speech & music: 55.5%).

  • The combination of animals has been developed in each of the cultural spheres as a method of metaphor and symbolism of the cultural code. However, its symbolism is not a fixed constant, but a variable and relative constant. This work focused on its features in comparison with East Asian cultural spheres comedic stories and proverbs. Consequently, several features were identified. First, the combinations of animals in similar comedic stories and proverbs among Korea, Japan and China show a difference in point of view. Korean focuses on the difference of the two animals, but Chinese and Japanese focus on the differences in value and level. Second, the method of anthropomorphization is relatively more developed in China and Japan than Korea. The combinations of animals of Chinese comedic stories and proverbs particularly in the field of anthropomorphization, are most focused on age and sex of the animal. The animal's age or sex remains mostly undetermined in Korean animal's proverbs, unlike Chinese proverbs. On the other hand, two animals in Japanese comedic stories and proverbs are usually of the male and female gender from. Third, the combinations of animals of Chinese and Japanese focus on the animal's body and its characteristics of action. Chinese and Japanese combine the characteristics of the two animal's bodies and actions. This feature apparently caused the resultant combinations of the animal's body parts, for example, the Dragon. Understanding of the combinations of two animals is a good portal into the features of East Asian culture sphere.

  • An algorithm for finding the best regression models has been developed using NIR spectral data. In cases of regression analysis for quantitation with NIR spectral data, it is very critical to find essential features from the spectral data. This task was accessed in two ways. The first one was to use all-possible combinations of varibles (wavelengths). Correlation coefficients at each spectral points were calculated to get initial set of variables and all of the possible combinations of variable sets were tested with SEC. SEP and/or $R^2$. • This paper illustrates the inter-relationship between the theta/alpha ratio of the EEG signal and multiple HRV related parameters associated with the cardiovascular system response during event-related stimuli. Both EEG and PPG signals were simultaneously recorded in 21 healthy subjects. All subjects had their attention focused on the CNT program for nine minutes. Time-frequency analysis was applied to the EEG and PPG signals. The theta/alpha ratio was extracted from the EEG results, and the HRV features, including beat interval(1), SDNN(2), RMSSD(3), NN50(4), LF(5), HF(6), and LFIHF(7), were extracted from the PPG. Through multiple linear regression, the relationship ($R^2$) between the multiple combined features and the theta/alpha rhythm was identified. As a result, the combinations of $R^2$($R^2=0.253$; seven dimensions) and the theta/alpha ratio indicated a higher inter-relationship value than those of other combinations. The combinations of features that were greater than three dimensions, based on {SDNN(2), HF(6)}, generally showed higher $R^2$ value. We demonstrate that the high dimensional combinations had a higher correlation than did the low dimensional combinations.

  • Staggered nested designs are the most popular class of unbalanced nested designs in practical fields. The most important features of the staggered nested design are that it has a very simple open-ended structure and each sum of squares in the analysis of variance has almost the same degrees of freedom. Based on the features, a class of unbalanced nested designs which is generalized of the staggered nested design is proposed. Some of the generalized staggered nested designs are shown to be more efficient than the staggered nested design in estimating some of variance components and their linear combinations.

  • Speech emotion recognition, which aims to classify speaker's emotional states through speech signals, is one of the essential tasks for making Human-machine interaction (HMI) more natural and realistic. Voice expressions are one of the main information channels in interpersonal communication. However, existing speech emotion recognition technology has not achieved satisfactory performances, probably because of the lack of effective emotion-related features. This paper provides a survey on various features used for speech emotional recognition and discusses which features or which combinations of the features are valuable and meaningful for the emotional recognition classification. The main aim of this paper is to discuss and compare various approaches used for feature extraction and to propose a basis for extracting useful features in order to improve SER performance.

  • This paper proposes a topology-based algorithm for recognizing the passage features using a concept of multi-face hole loop. The Multi-face hole loop is a concetpual hole loop that is formed over several connected faces. A passage feature is recognized in the proposed approach by two multi-face hole loops that constitute its enterance and exit. The algorithm proposed in this paper checks the connectivity of the two multi-face hole loops to recognize passage features. The total number of passage features in a part is calculated from Euler equation and is compared with the number of found passage features to decide when to terminate. To find all multi-face hole loops in a part, this paper proposes an algorithm for finding all combinations of connected faces. The edge convexity is used to judge the validity of multi-face hole loops. By using the algorithm proposed in this paper, the passage features could be recognized effectively. The approach proposed in this paper is illustrated with several example parts.

  • In this paper, we have proposed an improved fusion method of detection features which can enhance the detection probability under the given false alarm rate in the prescreening stage of SAR ATR(Synthetic Aperture Radar Automatic Target Recognition) system. Since the detection features have the positive correlation, the detection performance can be improved if the joint probability distribution of detection features is considered in the fusion process. The detection region is designed as a simple piecewise linear function which can be represented by few parameters. The parameters for the detection region can be derived by training the sample SAR images to maximize the detection probability with the given false alarm rate. Simulation result shows that the detection performance of the proposed method is improved for all combinations of detection features.

  • The major protocol features of the rodent uterotrophic assay have been evaluated using a range of reference chemicals. The protocol variables considered include the selection of the test species and route of chemical administration, the age of the test animals, the maintenance diet used, and the specificity of the assay for estrogens. The rodents were ovariectomized under general anesthesia via bilateral flank incisions and randomly assigned to groups of 5 animals. Chemicals were DEHP, DBP, BPA and NP, were injected sc once daily with combinations of chemicals treatments for 3 days. In the results, the reported estrogenic chemicals DEHP and DBP were both negative in the single dose treatments. But, in the combinations of chemicals treatments, DEHP and DBP increased in bud number of mammary gland. Treatment of ovariectomized mice with combinations of other chemicals resulted in uterine and vaginal hyperplasia. The additive estrogenic effects were seen with the combinations of $17{\beta}$-Bestradiol and DBP treatment. the competitive estrogenic effects were seen with the combinations of $17{\beta}$-Bestradiol and nonylphenol, $17{\beta}$-Bestradiol and bisphenol-A treatments. These results offers a sysmatic and mechanistically informative approach to assessing estrogenicity. it provides a useful profile of activity using a reasonable amount of resources and is compatible with the study of individual chemicals as well as the investigation of interactions among combinations of chemicals. The results described illustrate the intrinsic complexity of evaluating chemicals for estrogenic activities and conform the need for rigorous attention to experimental design and criteria for assessing estrogenic activity.
