맞춤판재 용접용 3차원 비젼 감시기 개발 (Developement of 3-D Vision Monitoring System for Tailored Blank Welding)

  • A 3-D vision system is developed to evaluate blanks' line up and monitor gap and thickness difference between blanks in tailored blank welding system. A structured lighting method is used for 3-D vision recognition. Images of sheared portion in blanks are irregular according to roughness of blank surface, shape of sheared geometry and blurring. It is difficult to get accurate and reliable informations in the case of using binary image processing or contour detection techniques in real time for such images. We propoe a new energy integration method robust to blurring and changes of illumination. The method is computationally simple, and uses feature restoration concept, different to another digital image restoration methods which aim image itself restoration and may be used in conventional applications using structured line lighting technique. Experimental results show this system measuring repeatability is .+-. pixel for gap and thickness difference in static and dynamic tests. The data are expected to be useful for preview gap control.

  • Modem SAR interferometry (IFSAR) sensors delivering intensity images and corresponding digital terrain model (DTM) allow for a thorough surface lineament interpretation with the all-weather day-night applicability. In this paper, an automatic linear-feature detection algorithm for high-resolution SAR images acquired in Taiwan is proposed. Methodologies to extract linear features consist of several stages. First, the image denoising techniques are used to remove the speckle noise on the raw image. In this stage, the Lee filter has been chosen because of its superior performance. After denoising, the Coefficient of Variation Detector is performed on the result images for edge enhancements and detection. Dilation and erosion techniques are used to reconnect the fragmented lines. The Hough transform, which is a special case of a more general transform known as Radon transform, is a suitable method for line detection in our analysis. Finally, linear features are extracted from the binary edge image. The last stage contains many substeps such as edge thinning and curve pruning.

  • Automatic measurement system is required since cycle time and cost of production are increased by various factors in manual systems. This paper presents a machine vision based prototype measurement system for the automotive axisymmetric shape parts which are generally measured by a manual system that is required the tolerance of the part is very small on each machined surface. This measurement system adopts a method in which optical lens is transferred along the profile of the part to minimize measurement cycle time. The main interest of this paper is a development of an optimum measurement algorithm to the outside diameter of the parts that can be applied to various combinations of hardware. The operating system used to implement the whole system is Window XP and corresponding environment.

Miniaturization of an Ultra-Wideband Antenna with Two Spiral Elements

  • In this letter, novel antennas with two spiral elements are presented for ultra-wideband application. The original antenna consists of a T-shaped microstrip feed line, two spiral radiating elements, and a ground plane with two circular slots. It measures 30 mm ${\times}$ 40 mm ${\times}$ 1.6 mm. Spiral elements are used to increase the lower bandwidth limit. To further reduce the size of the antenna, the original antenna is cut in half by using the symmetry of the surface current distributions. The proposed antennas feature omnidirectional radiation patterns and good gain flatness.

  • One of the most important processes is the face milling in processing task. It makes the smooth surface of processed goods. In processing stage, the formation of burr is inevitable. The formed burr decreases a detailed drawing and effects the safety of workers. So, it causes a deburring process for removing and a bottle-neck condition. Therefore, the study which can minimize the generation of burr is needed. In this paper, complex feature, such as line, arc, circle, spline is studied more reality than any other papers. And also, the algorithm which can predict the path of generated burr is established. Moreover, the finality goal is that the system which can produce tool-path minimized has to be developed.

익형 핀 히트싱크의 냉각특성 (Cooling Characteristics of Wing Fin Heat Sink)

  • Heat sink has extended surface area for enhanced heat transfer. The enhanced convection heat transfer has been used widely, such as cooling electronic chips in the electronics industry. Heat sink usually requires an increase in the heat transfer and a decrease in the pressure drop, and must improve the performance in the flow field of industrial plants. In this study, wing fin heat sink was studied and tests were conducted in a rectangular cross sectional channel with wing fin heat sinks. The leading and trailing ends of a wing fin have a sharp edge, simulating the airfoil feature. Empirical correlations have been developed for wing fin heat sink types. And wing fin heat sinks have better cooling performance than elliptic fin and square fin types.

An Improvement Algorithm for the Image Compression Imaging

  • Lines and textures are natural properties of the surface of natural objects, and their images can be sparsely represented in suitable frames such as wavelets, curvelets and wave atoms. Based on characteristics that the curvelets framework is good at expressing the line feature and wavesat is good at representing texture features, we propose a model for the weighted sparsity constraints of the two frames. Furtherly, a multi-step iterative fast algorithm for solving the model is also proposed based on the split Bergman method. By introducing auxiliary variables and the Bergman distance, the original problem is transformed into an iterative solution of two simple sub-problems, which greatly reduces the computational complexity. Experiments using standard images show that the split-based Bergman iterative algorithm in hybrid domain defeats the traditional Wavelets framework or curvelets framework both in terms of timeliness and recovery accuracy, which demonstrates the validity of the model and algorithm in this paper.

Numerical simulation of flow around two circular cylinders in various arrangements

  • The results of flow feature around two circular cylinders in various arrangements are carried out using two-dimensional simulation at Reynolds number of 200. In this work, time-averaged fluid force acting on the upstream and downstream cylinders were calculated for staggered angle ${\alpha}=0{\sim}90^{\circ}$ in the range of L/D = 1.1~5, where ${\alpha}$ is the angle between the free-stream flow and the line connecting the centers of the cylinders, L is centre-to-centre distance and D is cylinder diameter. The dependence of magnitudes and trends of fluid force coefficient on the spacing ratio L/D and ${\alpha}$ are discussed. In all arrangements of two cylinders, tandem arrangement (${\alpha}=0^{\circ}$) is the case produced a minimum drag coefficient for downstream cylinder. Moreover, the locations of separation and stagnation points or pressure coefficient on surface of the cylinder were examined. 노이즈 영상으로부터 모아레 기준 위상의 강인 자동 생성 방법 (A Robust Method for Automatic Generation of Moire Reference Phase from Noisy Image)

  • 본 연구는 위상천이 영사식 모아레 측정기의 기준 위상 측정단계에서 기준 위상의 검출 정확도를 높이기 위한 방안으로, 일반적인 N-bucket 방법이 아닌, 줄무늬 패턴 투사 영상의 직접적인 영상처리를 기반으로, 노이즈가 포함된 영상으로부터 기준 위상을 자동으로 검출하고 보정하는 방법을 다룬다. 일반적으로 기준위상을 정확히 구하기 위해서는 상대적으로 노이즈가 원천적으로 적은 고정밀도의 교정 시편과 이에 맞는 세분화된 교정방법이 필요하다. 하지만, 고가의 시편 제작비용 절감과 고정도 교정을 위한 교정시간의 단축을 위해, 상대적으로 일반 정밀도등급의 제작된 시편으로부터 획득된 영상을 이용하여, 효율적인 기준위상 교정 방법을 제안한다. 투사된 평행 라인 띠가 시편에서 반사되어 카메라로 입력되는 영상으로부터, 영상처리 라인마스크를 이용하여 격자 라인들의 중심점을 정밀하게 추출하고, 각 라인들에서 추출된 샘플링점 기반의 최소자승법을 이용하여, 라인 특징치인 기울기와 절편을 추출함으로써 실제 관측되는 격자 라인의 중심선을 획득하였으며, 획득된 중심선들을 이용하여 N-bucket 알고리즘에 적용할 수 있도록 위상을 추출한 후, 기준위상을 자동으로 생성하였다. 본 연구를 통하여 고가의 시편 제작 없이 빠르게 자동으로 기준위상을 추출할 수 있었다.

백스테핑기법과 신경회로망을 이용한 적응 재형상 비행제어법칙 (Reconfigurable Flight Control Law Using Adaptive Neural Networks and Backstepping Technique)

  • A neural network based adaptive controller design method is proposed for reconfigurable flight control systems in the presence of variations in aerodynamic coefficients or control effectiveness decrease caused by control surface damage. The neural network based adaptive nonlinear controller is developed by making use of the backstepping technique for command following of the angle of attack, sideslip angle, and bank angle. On-line teaming neural networks are implemented to guarantee reconfigurability and robustness to the uncertainties caused by aerodynamic coefficients variations. The main feature of the proposed controller is that the adaptive controller is designed with assumption that not any of the nonlinear functions of the system is known accurately, whereas most of the previous works assume that only some of the nonlinear functions are unknown. Neural networks loam through the weight update rules that are derived from the Lyapunov control theory. The closed-loop stability of the error states is also investigated according to the Lyapunov theory. A nonlinear dynamic model of an F-16 aircraft is used to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed control law.
