헬리콥터 무베어링 로터 허브 복합재 유연보 피로 안전수명 해석 (Fatigue Safe Life Analysis of Helicopter Bearingless Rotor Hub Composite Flexbeam)

  • 7,000lb 급 헬리콥터를 위한 무베어링 로터 허브 시스템을 설계한 후, 무베어링 로터 허브 시스템의 주요 구성품 중 하나인 유연보에 대해 요구수명 8,000시간을 만족하는지 확인하기 위한 피로해석을 수행하였다. 2차원 탄성 보 모델에 대한 단면 구조해석 방법을 적용하였으며, 정적구조해석을 통해 피로손상에 취약할 것으로 예상되는 두 단면에 대한 피로해석을 수행하였다. 구조해석을 위해 VABS를 사용하여 유연보 단면 형상에 대한 인장, 굽힘 및 뒤틀림 강성을 계산하였고, wohler equation을 적용하여 유연보를 구성하는 두 가지 복합재 소재에 대한 S-N 곡선을 생성하였다. CAMRAD II를 통해 무베어링 로터 시스템의 하중해석을 수행하였으며, 하중해석 결과를 HELIX/FELIX 표준하중 스펙트럼에 적용하여 무베어링 로터 시스템의 하중 스펙트럼을 생성한 후, 이를 통해 피로해석을 수행하였다.

  • In plastic working, as working becomes speedy, automatic and working condition deteriorates, the increase of forging working has been remarkable. Therefore, we need the estimation of mold lift in detail, in order to counterplan of effective mold life extension. In this study, on the SKH51, mold steel which is forged by cold working and the KCW1, tool steel of low alloy, we estimated mold life on the base of FEM analysis and investigated mold lift by low cycle fatigue test. Also, this paper suggested a new method of estimation of mold lift.

노인 퇴행성디스크 환자의 안정화운동이 척추불안정과 피로도에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Segmental Instability and Muscle Fatigue after Stabilization Exercise Program in Degenerated Disc Disease Patients of Aged)

  • The purpose of this study was designed to find out the effectiveness of vertebral segment instability, muscle fatigue response on lumbar spine after apply lumbosacral stabilization exercise program to 4 patients with chronic low back pain and for 12 weeks. In this study, the lumbar spine motion with blind by MedX test machine and the difference of instability to lumbar vertebra segments in flexion, extension test of standing position and spinal load test(Matthiass Test) by Spinal Mouse. The stabilization exercise program was applied 2 times a week for 12 weeks in hospital and 2 times a day for 20 minutes at home. The results of the present study were as follows: 1. Instability test of lumbar vertebra segment is 2 type differential angle test between vertebrae segment and loading test of spine(matthiass) by Spinal Mouse. It appeared to improve stability of segments in sagittal plane after program. So lumbar spine curve increased lordosis toward anterior and was improved of the lumbar spine flexibility in flexion and extension. Specially, in matthiass test, ( - ) value was increased between lumbar vertebra segment when was the load on spine. And so stability improved after program. 2. Fatigue response test(FRT) results, in male, was raised muscle fatigue rate during increase weight, on the other hand female appeared lower than male. As a results, lumbosacral stabilization exercise was aided to improvement of lumbar spine vertebra segments stabilization. Spine instability patients will have a risk when in lifting a load or working with slight flexion posture during the daily of living life and it is probably to increase recurrence rate. Thus, not only lumbar extension muscle strength but also stability of vertebra segments in lumbar spine may be very important.

비규칙 단섬유강화 SMC 복합재료의 피로균열 전파거동에 관한 연구 (A Study on Fatigue Crack Propagation Behavior in Random Short-Fiber SMC Composites)

  • The SMC composite, now being considered in certain structural applications, is anticipated to experience repeated loading during service. Thus, understanding of the fatigue behavior is essential in proper use of the composite material. In this paper, using the SMC composite composed of E-glass chopped strand and unsaturated polyester resin three point bending fatigue tests are carried out to investigate the fatigue crack propagating behavior under various cyclic stresses and fatigue damage of various microcrack forms. The following results are obtained from this study; 1) Most of the total fatigue life of the SMC composite is consumed at the initial extension or the growth of the macroscopic crack. 2) A Paris' type power-law relationship between the crack propagation rate and stress intensity factor range is obtained, and the value of material constant m is much higher (m=9~11)than that of other metals. 3) In case of high cyclic stress the fatigue damage show high microcrack density and short crack length, but in case of low cyclic stress does it vice versa. 4) Fatigue damage is characterized by microcrack density, crack length and distribution of crack orientation.

허리 디스크탈출증 환자의 재위치 감각과 근 피로도에 미치는 안정화운동 프로그램의 영향 (The Effects of Lumbar Repositioning Sense and Muscle Fatigue after Stabilization Exercise Program in Disc Disease Patients)

  • Background: The purpose of this study was designed to find out the effectiveness of reposition sense, muscle fatigue response on lumbar spine after apply lumbosacral stabilization exercise program to 4 patients with chronic low back pain and for 12 weeks. Method: In this study the reposition sense was measured in 3 angle(60, 30, 12) of the lumbar spine motion with blind by MedX test machine and the difference of instability to lumbar vertebra segments in flexion, extension test of standing position and spinal load test Mattress Test by Spinal Mouse. The stabilization exercise program was applied 2 times a week for 12 weeks in hospital and 2 times a day for 20 minutes at home. Result: The results of the present study were that the repositioning sense was appeared the most error in 12 angles of lumbar flexion and Men was appeared to decrease an error more than female in average value of 4 angles after 12 weeks. And average error of male was decrease more than female. Thus the effects of lumbosacral stabilization exercise was improved repositioning sense of prorioceptor. Fatigue response test(FRT) results, in male, was raised muscle fatigue rate during increase weight, on the other hand female appeared lower than male. Conclusion: As a results, lumbosacral stabilization exercise was aided to improvement of lumbar spine repositioning sense and vertebra segments stabilization. It was showed the rate of decrease in typically 12 degree angle point of each 3 angle(60, 36, 12). Especially, that spine instability patients will have a risk when in lifting a load or working with slight flexion posture around 12 degree during the daily of living life and it is probably to increase recurrence rate. Thus, not only lumbar extension muscle strength but also stability of vertebra segments in lumbar spine may be very important.

  • 기존의 헬리콥터 로터 시스템에서 기계적 힌지/베어링 부품을 복합재 빔 구성품으로 대체하여 중량과 부품수를 줄인 무베어링 허브 시스템을 설계하였으며, 그 중 중요 구성품인 유연보와 토크튜브에 대한 피로 안전수명 해석을 수행하였다. VABS를 이용한 2차원 단면 해석 수행을 통해 인장, 굽힘 및 뒤틀림 강성을 도출하였으며 2차원 탄성 보 모델에 대한 단면 구조해석 방법을 적용하여 각 단면에 발생하는 변형율을 계산하였다. 각 복합재 소재에 대한 S-N 곡선을 Wohler equation을 적용하여 생성하였으며, 정적구조해석을 통해 피로파손에 취약할 것으로 판단되는 영역에 대한 피로해석을 수행하였다. 헬리콥터 운영시로부터 구성품에 발생하는 하중은 CAMRAD II를 통해 계산하였으며, 하중해석 결과를 HELIX/FELIX 표준 하중 스펙트럼에 적용하여 무베어링 로터 허브 시스템의 하중 스펙트럼을 생성한 후, 이를 통해 최종적으로 피로 안전수명을 산출하였다.

PREDICTION OF RESIDUAL STRESS PROFILE IN SINGLE-SIDED BUTT WELD USING COMPLIANCE METHOD

  • It depends on the joint configuration, dimensions and constraints on the joint whether the residual stress at the root of single-sided butt weld is tensile or not. Therefore, recommendation is generally made that high R ratio should be used in the fatigue test of this type of joint in order to prevent excessively long life caused by compressive residual stress. in this research, the residual stress profile in butt weld joint was obtained through compliance method, using successive extension of a slot and measurement of the variation of strain during the slot extension. The residual stress profile was firstly assumed to be the linear summation of Legendre polynomials up to 9th order excluding 0th and 1st order. Strain variation on the surface was measured while the slot was being extended by cutting to find out the 8 unknown coefficients of each polynomial tenn. The cut was made by the electric discharge machine. It was concluded that the residual stress near the surface stayed positive, however, it turned into the negative value as soon as it passed through 2 or 3 mm depth. Several fatigue tests were also carried out under zero stress ratio. Test results showed that fatigue life coincides well with the design cuive of butt joint in British Standards, which supports that it is tensile residual stress that exists near the weld root.

노후 함정 강재의 기계적 특성 평가 (Mechanical Properties Assessment of Steels Obtained from an Aged Naval Ship)

  • Ships operated at sea for a long time are subjected to various kinds of loads, which may cause various types of damage. Such damages will eventually reduce the strength of hull structures. Therefore, it is necessary to estimate and evaluate the residual strength and remaining fatigue life of aging ships in order to secure structural safety, establish a reasonable maintenance plan, and make a judgment of life extension. For this purpose, the corrosion damage and local denting damage should be measured, fatigue damage estimation should be performed, and material properties of aged steel should be identified. For this study, in order to investigate the mechanical properties of aged steel, steel plates were obtained from a naval ship that reached the end of her life span. The specimens were manufactured from the obtained steel plates, and static and dynamic tensile tests, fatigue tests, and metallographic tests were performed. The mechanical properties obtained from the aged steel plates were compared with those of new steel plates to quantify the aging effect on the mechanical properties of marine steel materials.

  • 송전선로의 ACSR(Aluminum Strandard Conductors Steel Reinforced)의 잔존수명에 대한 관심이 전력공급의 신뢰성과 안정성올 유지하기 위하여 점차 중요하게 되있다. 대기 중에 장기간 노출된 ACSR의 잔존수명은 대기부식, 전해부식, 간극부식과 피로부식과 같은 환경요인들에 의하여 발생된 열화에 의존된다. 산 등성이에 가설된 가공 송전선에 유효수명의 감소 중 하나는 종종 산불에 의한 것이다. 이 논문에서는 화염에 노출된 ACSR의 인장하중과 연신율에 대한 몇 가지 시험과 해석 결과를 통하여 화염에 의한 ACSR의 기체적 열화특성 고찰한다 시힘 시료는 ACSR 480[ml] 도체들로, 일정한 시간간격으로 인공적으 로 가열된 것들이다. 가열된 ACSR 도체를에 대한 인장하중과 연산율과 같은 기계적 특성이 시험되고 가열시간에 의한 기계적 특성의 추정함수들미 결정되었다. 그 결과, ACSR의 인장하증과 연신율 모두가 가열시간이 증가함에 따라 감소되는 것 확인할 수 있었다. 따라서, ACSR은 산블에 의하여 기계적인 멸화가 진전될 것이 분명하다.

  • In most case high temperature components in fossil power plant are damaged by fatigue, creep and degradation. Design of power plant components is based on ideal loading such as temperature, pressure and so on. But in many cases unexpected loadings are applied at components. A key ingredient in plant life extension is the preventive diagnosis technology and remaining-life-assessment technology. This paper describes diagnosis technology and life-assessment technology for power plant boiler. It helps in setting up proper inspection schedules, maintenance procedures, and operating procedure.
