Fast Linearized Bregman Method for Compressed Sensing

  • In this paper, a fast and efficient signal reconstruction algorithm for solving the basis pursuit (BP) problem in compressed sensing (CS) is proposed. This fast linearized Bregman method (FLBM), which is inspired by the fast method of Beck et al., is based on the fact that the linearized Bregman method (LBM) is equivalent to a gradient descent method when applied to a certain formulation. The LBM requires $O(1/{\varepsilon})$ iterations to obtain an ${\varepsilon}$-optimal solution while the FLBM reduces this iteration complexity to $O(1/\sqrt{\varepsilon})$ and requiring almost the same computational effort on each iteration. Our experimental results show that the FLBM can be faster than some other existing signal reconstruction methods.

실내 환경에서 Infrared 카메라를 이용한 실용적 FastSLAM 구현 방법 (A Practical FastSLAM Implementation Method using an Infrared Camera for Indoor Environments)

  • FastSLAM is a factored solution to SLAM problem using a Rao-Blackwellized particle filter. In this paper, we propose a practical FastSLAM implementation method using an infrared camera for indoor environments. The infrared camera is equipped on a Pioneer3 robot and looks upward direction to the ceiling which has infrared tags with the same height. The infrared tags are detected with theinfrared camera as measurements, and the Nearest Neighbor method is used to solve the unknown data association problem. The global map is successfully built and the robot pose is predicted in real time by the FastSLAM2.0 algorithm. The experiment result shows the accuracy and robustness of the proposed method in practical indoor environment.

비평면 지면을 비행하는 FAST의 정상상태 공력특성 (Steady Aerodynamic Characteristics of FAST Flying over Nonplanar Ground Surface)

  • 경계요소법을 이용하여 동체에 탠덤 날개를 결합한 FAST가 비평면 지면을 비행할 때의 공력 특성을 파악하였다. 본 수치해석 기법을 이용하여 계산한 결과를 실험 및 타 전산해석 결과와 비교하여 검증을 수행하였다. 날개-동체를 결합한 운송체의 공력 특성을 분석하여 안정성 확보 및 충분한 공기부상력을 가지도록 운송체 상부의 탠덤 날개를 배치하는 공력설계를 수행하였다. FAST에서 탠덤 날개가 동체의 전두부와 후두부에 위치하고, 하단 익단판을 설치하였을 때 최대 양력 성능을 얻을 수 있었다. FAST의 안정성은 탠덤날개의 플래퍼론을 이용하여 확보 가능하다.

  • As the search range increases, most fast ME algorithms can not keep the performance comparable to the full search BMA. In this paper, we propose a new fast motion estimation method which locates the small search area for a block of the current frame. This method is based on interframe correlation of motion vectors as well as intraframe correlation. Especially, the proposed algorithm outperforms other fast methods when the motion is very fast or complex. It drastically reduces computational complexity while maintaining good performance compared with the conventional FS-BMA.

  • This paper describes a method for the state estimation by a modified fast decoupled estimation method and system decomposition. The state values are gained by using the weighted least square estimation method, fast decoupled estimation method, and modified fast decoupled estimation method. The estimated values of each method were compared about effectiveness of state values, respectively. This paper investigated the effects of impedance of well-condition or ill-condition into lines. The characteristics of state estimation were gained through hierarchical state estimation. Each method was applied to three model power systems, and, the results of test for the proposed method are given.

  • The purpose of this research is to perform a case study for verifying problems of BIM application to the building construction project using Fast Track method. The object of case study is an actual construction project completed in 2013. As a result, some problems and solutions for those were extracted. The result of this study will contribute revitalization to the BIM application in the project using Fast Track method.

  • Nowadays the Design-Build Delivery Method in public sector has been remarkably grown up in applying owing to its merits such as shortening construction duration. The Fast-Track is the wide-using method for accelerating schedule at Design-Build projects. But the public agency is in trouble to execute Fast-Track because of the lack of guideline for its process. As a result, in some cases applying Fast-Track methods, cost and construction duration are increased more than cases of non-Fast-Track projects. In this study, through the questionnaire surveys to professionals having actual implementation experiences as a construction manager, owner or general contractor, key success vehicles of Fast-Track are induced.

  • 기존의 웹 서비스(Web Services)는 운영환경에 독립적인 문서 형식을 정의할 수 있는 XML(Extensible Markup Language)을 기본 문서 형식으로 사용함으로서 서비스의 통합을 실현하였다. 그러나 텍스트 데이터로 이루어져 있는 XML 문서는 네트워크 환경이나 임베디드 시스템과 같이 상대적으로 느린 통신 매체에 자주 접속하거나 모바일과 같이 자원이 한정된 소형기기에서 사용 할 경우 전체 응용 프로그램의 성능을 저하시키는 요소로 작용한다. 이에 본 논문은 Fast Infoset 방식과 ASN.1의 PER 인코딩 기법을 사용하여 XML 문서를 Fast XML으로 변환 할 수 있는 Fast Infoset 알고리즘을 구현하였고, 테스트 베드(Test Bed)를 구축하였다. 또한, 웹 서비스 구축 시 전송 프로토콜로 사용되는 XML 기반의 SOAP 메시지를 인코딩하여 기존의 순수 XML 메시지 방식과의 처리 성능 차이를 비교 분석하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 영화의 서비스 요구 빈도의 차이로 인하여 각 영화가 상대적으로 상이한 논리적 저장 장치 점유 비용을 가진다는 특징을 기반으로 대용량의 VOD 서버에서 FF(Fast Forward) 기능과 FR(Fast Reverse) 기능을 효율적으로 제공하기 위해 MPEG의 비트 스트림 구조와 프레임 특성을 분석하고, 그 특성을 이용하여 SDU(Separate Data Use) 방법과 EDU(Existing Data Use) 방법을 제안하고 구현하였다. 제안하는 방법은 각 영화의 서비스 요구 빈도에 따라 FF/FR 기능 제공 방법을 선택하여 적용함으로써 전체 영화에 대한 FF/FR 기능 제공 비용을 감소시킬 수 있다.

A fast adaptive numerical solver for nonseparable elliptic partial differential equations

  • We describe a fast numerical method for non-separable elliptic equations in self-adjoin form on irregular adaptive domains. One of the most successful results in numerical PDE is developing rapid elliptic solvers for separable EPDEs, for example, Fourier transformation methods for Poisson problem on a square, however, it is known that there is no rapid elliptic solvers capable of solving a general nonseparable problems. It is the purpose of this paper to present an iterative solver for linear EPDEs in self-adjoint form. The scheme discussed in this paper solves a given non-separable equation using a sequence of solutions of Poisson equations, therefore, the most important key for such a method is having a good Poison solver. High performance is achieved by using a fast high-order adaptive Poisson solver which requires only about 500 floating point operations per gridpoint in order to obtain machine precision for both the computed solution and its partial derivatives. A few numerical examples have been presented.
