The purpose of this study is to identify the antecedents of the attitudes toward purchasing fast fashion brands and the frequency of purchasing fast fashion brands. As antecedents, a few brand-related variables and a consumer-related variable were considered. Perceived perishability, perceived scarcity, perceived quality, and perceived low price were included as brand-related variables and congruity between self image and fast fashion brand image was included as a consumer-related variable. It was hypothesized that both brand-related and consumer-related variables directly influence the attitudes toward purchasing fast fashion brands and then influence the frequency of purchasing fast fashion brands. Data were gathered by surveying university students in Seoul, using convenience sampling. Two hundred twenty seven questionnaires were used in the statistical analysis, exploratory factor analysis using SPSS and confirmatory factor analysis and path analysis using AMOS. The results showed that all the fit indices for the variable measures were quite acceptable. In addition, the overall fits of the model suggest that the model fits the data well. The hypothesized relationship test proved that perceived perishability, perceived quality, and congruity between self image and fast fashion brand image influence the attitudes toward purchasing fast fashion brands and then influence the frequency of purchasing fast fashion brands. The results suggest some effective marketing strategies for marketers in the fast fashion industry.
To identify the antecedents of repurchasing intention toward fast fashion brands, this study was conducted to examine brand authenticity and brand identification as both direct and indirect antecedents of repurchasing intention through fast fashion brand love. Through convenience sampling, 266 university students in Seoul metropolitan area completed a questionnaire survey. Data were analyzed using SPSS for exploratory factor analysis, and AMOS was used for confirmatory factor analysis and path analysis. Factor analysis revealed the following: for brand authenticity, four dimensions('originality,' 'reliability,' 'continuity,' and 'naturalness') were revealed; for both consumer brand identification and repurchase intention one dimension was revealed; and for brand love two dimensions were revealed('passion' and 'affection'). Path analysis confirmed that 'reliability' and 'naturalness'in relation to brand authenticity indirectly influenced repurchase intention through 'passion'(as a factor of brand love) and directly influenced repurchase intention. Further, 'continuity' in relation to brand authenticity indirectly influenced repurchase intention through 'affection'(as a factor of brand love) and directly influenced repurchase intention. Consumer brand identification influenced repurchase intention indirectly through two factors of brand love. These results suggest that fast fashion brand marketers should implement effective strategies that consider consumers'perceptions of brand authenticity, consumer brand identification, and brand love.
Brand love contributes to consumers' positive post-purchase behavior; therefore, fast fashion brand marketers should make more efforts to develop marketing strategies to promote brand love in the increasingly competitive fast fashion industry. This study identified the antecedents and consequences of fast fashion brand love to provide insights into brand love. Brand-related variables (affective brand experience, self-expressive brand, and hedonic brand attitude) were considered as antecedents, and post-purchase behavior variables (loyalty and positive word of mouth) were considered as consequences. It was hypothesized that affective brand experience, self-expressive brand, and hedonic brand attitude directly and indirectly influence brand loyalty and positive word of mouth through brand love. Data were gathered by surveying university students in Seoul, using convenience sampling. Two hundred and eighty-six questionnaires were used in the statistical analysis. Factor analysis revealed that all variables were uni-dimensional. Tests of the hypothesized path showed that affective brand experience and self-expressive brand indirectly influenced brand loyalty and positive word of mouth through brand love versus the direct influence of hedonic brand attitude. The results suggest some implications for fast fashion brand marketers.

Data were gathered by surveying university students in the Seoul metropolitan area using convenience sampling. Three hundred and five questionnaires were used in the statistical analysis, which consisted of exploratory factor analysis using SPSS and confirmatory factor analysis and path analysis using AMOS. The factor analysis revealed the following six value factors: Emotional value, social value, price/value for money, durability value, eco-value, and consistency value. The fit statistic for the six-factor model was quite acceptable. Two of the six value factors, emotional value and price/value for money, positively influenced attitudes toward purchasing fast fashion brands. The overall fits of the revealed model suggested that the model fit the data well. The results suggested that fast fashion marketers need to understand the value factors that motivate consumers to purchase fast fashion brands. In addition, marketers should focus their efforts on satisfying emotional value and price/value for money in order to establish their brands in the increasingly competitive fast fashion industry.
Purpose: The article deals with the proposition that consumers' fashion consumption behavior will still follow the consumption behavior of fast fashion, despite recognizing the importance of slow fashion. Research design, data and methodology: The research model to verify this proposition is topic modelling with big data including unstructured textual data. we combined 5,506 news articles posted on Naver news search platform during the 2003-2019 period about fast fashion and slow fashion, high-frequency words have been derived, and topics have been found using LDA model. Based on these, we examined consumers' perception and consumption behavior on slow fashion through the analysis of Topic Network. Results: (1) Looking at the status of annual article collection, consumers' interest in slow fashion mainly began in 2005 and showed a steady increase up to 2019. (2) Term Frequency analysis showed that the keywords for slow fashion are the lowest, with consumers' consumption patterns continuing around 'brand.' (3) Each topic's weight in articles showed that 'social value' - which includes slow fashion - ranked sixth among the 9 topics, low linkage with other topics. (4) Lastly, 'brand' and 'fashion trend' were key topics, and the topic 'social value' accounted for a low proportion. Conclusion: Slow fashion was not a considerable factor of consumption behavior. Consumption patterns in fashion sector are still dominated by general consumption patterns centered on brands and fast fashion.
The current fashion market is experiencing a lot of difficulties in fashion forecasting due to consumers' fast-changing lifestyle on fashion, changes in consumer behavior, and the segmentation of the fashion market. To cope with this harsh reality, many fashion enterprises have paid much attention to the SPA (Specialty Retailer's Store of Private Label Apparel) brand as a promising fashion marketing strategy in terms of which they can survive in the extremely competing fashion market. The SPA brand is in the stage of inception in Korea, but the SPA brands such as MUJI and UNIQLO are already dominating the fashion business in Japan. Korea has just started developing the SPA brand, but its technological development, which was triggered by the success of 'BASIC HOUSE', is rapidly evolving. Under these circumstances, the SPA brand is getting vital for the fashion market in efficiently realizing consumers' requirements, revolutionizing the method for providing product information and the process of Marketing Mix Program, and expressing the value of shop. This paper studies the nature of the SPA brand and fashion merchandising system, and in turn examine the differences between the visual merchandising of the existing fashion brands and the Japanese SPA brands that are used as the fashion marketing strategy which is driven by the up-to-date technological system. Centering around these issues, we propose a visual merchandising system for fashion enterprises which serves to develop Korean-style SPA brands.

The consumer group preferring fast-fashion regarded fashion and economics as important factors and the non-preferring group regarded status symbol factor more. Second, five factors(atmosphere, product service/salesperson, shopping convenience, promotion/facilities) of store selection criteria were constructed by factor analysis, The consumer group preferring fast-fashion regarded atmosphere and product as important factors and the non-preferring group considered service/salesperson and promotion/facilities factors more. Due to the dramatic increase in consumers' price sensitivity and growing importance for global retailers to create relevant price strategies, this study investigates the global pricing strategy of the main SPA brands such as ZARA, H&M and UNIQLO. Based on price information shown on official website, the study developed SPA brand index by using exchange rates in terms of US dollars and ratio of differences between the local price and the US price. These figures were compared with GDP per person data in order to analyze each brand's price level against the income level. The study also compared SPA brand index with Big Mac index to identify the difference in price levels between the fast fashion market and the fast food market. ZARA and H&M were mostly targeting Middle East and Asia as a high-price market when considering index only. After taking the income level into account, however, Asia came out be the highest price market and Middle East was similar to the US market. On the other hand, UNIQLO targeted Asia as the lowest price market and the US and EU as the highest in terms of index only. But, Asia came out to be the highest price zone after considering the income level while the price of the US and EU was reasonable. Comparison with Big Mac Index indicated that most of Asia had a higher price level of the fashion market than the food market, whereas most European countries had a similar or high-price level of food market.
