빈곤노인의 경제활동 결정요인 연구 (Determinants of the Economic Activity of the Poor Elderly)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the factors determining the participation of the poor elderly in economic activity. This study analyzed secondary data of the second wave of Korean Longitudinal Study of Ageing. Binary logistic regression was used to identify the factors that are associated with the economic activity of the poor elderly. The results of the analyses showed that age, gender, region, public assistance, education, health status, chronic illness, contacts with acquaintances, and support from children were associated with participation in economic activity. The study's findings have several implications for policies and services. The study identified the need for an age- and gender-specific approach to promoting participation in economic activity among the poor elderly. Regional differences should also be considered in the creation of work opportunities for older adults. In terms of human capital, the positive effect of good health indicates that strategies are needed to address the needs of older adults with health issues. In addition, there is a need for more jobs for elderly job seekers with high levels of education. Finally, policy makers and practitioners should explore interventions for enhancing the social network involvement and community support for the elderly living in poverty.

농촌 거주 노인의 호흡기감염예방 이행에 영향을 미치는 요인 (Factors Influencing the Practice of Respiratory Infection Prevention for the Elderly in Rural Areas)

  • Purpose: This study was to identify the factors influencing the practice of respiratory infection prevention (RIP) for the elderly residing in rural areas. Methods: The data were collected from 188 residents aged 65 years or older residing in the jurisdictions of four public health clinics in rural areas of C city, using a structured questionnaire for the period from December 1, 2018 to February 28, 2019. The collected data were analyzed with independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and hierarchical multiple regression analysis using SPSS/WIN 25.0 program. Results: The score on knowledge of RIP was 8.82±1.36, while it was 4.53±0.47 for attitude, 3.78±0.66 for practice, and 3.78±0.69 for social capital. It was observed that the factors influencing the practice of RIP were attitude of RIP (β=.38, p<.001), social capital (β=.29, p<.001), family type (β=-.19, p=.002), and subjective health status (β=.15, p=.035), while the explanatory power of the model was 47%. Conclusion: Consequently, to enhance the practice of RIP for the elderly residing in rural areas, it is necessary to develop programs considering social and environmental characteristics of rural areas based on their attitude of RIP, social capital, family type and subjective health status.

단독가구 노인의 가족관계가 지역사회참여에 미치는 영향: 성별차이를 중심으로 (The effect of family relationships on local community participation by elderly single-person households: Focusing on gender differences)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 단독가구 노인의 가족관계가 지역사회참여에 영향을 미치는지 또한 이러한 관계는 성별에 따라 차이가 있는지 고찰하는 것이다. Baltes와 Baltes(1990)의 선택, 적정화, 보상 이론(SOC)과 Prandini(2014)의 가족구성원이 사회적 자본이 된다는 주장을 바탕으로 노년기에 가족관계가 지역사회참여에 영향을 미칠 수 있는지 검증하였다. 이를 위하여 본 연구에서는 한국보건사회연구원에서 실시한 2017년 노인실태조사에서 1인가구를 추출해 연구대상자(남 n=370, 여 n=1770)로 삼았으며, 친구·이웃만남과 경로당·복지관 참여를 종속변수로 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 남성의 경우 가족관계가 친구·이웃 또는 경로당·복지관 참여에 유의미한 영향을 보이지 않았으나, 여성의 경우는 가족과의 연락빈도가 친구·이웃만남에 정적(+)인 영향을 보였으며, 경로당 복지관 참여에는 가족연락빈도와 자녀관계 만족도가 정적(+) 영향이 나타난 반면 가족만남빈도는 경로당 복지관 참여에 부적(-) 영향이 나타났다. 여성의 경우 가족구성원이 사회적 자본이 된다는 Prandini(2014)의 주장이 지지되는 것으로 보이나, 어떠한 종류의 지역사회참여인가에 따라서 그 영향이 다를 수 있음을 확인하였다. 아울러 이에 대한 실천적 논의와 제언이 제시되었다.

아동 공동생활가정 종사자의 리더십 역량과 직무착근도 연구: 사회적자본과 조직문화의 이중 매개효과 (A Study of Leadership Competencies and Job Embeddedness among Child Group Home Workers : The Double Mediating Effects of Social Capital and Organizational Culture)

  • 본 연구는 아동 공동생활가정 종사자의 낮은 직무 기간과 처우가 주는 인적 관리의 부정적인 영향을 극복하고자 종사자의 리더십 역량이 직무착근도에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고, 두 변인 간의 사이에서 사회적자본과 조직문화의 매개효과를 검증하여 아동 공동생활가정 종사자의 직무착근도를 높이는 방안을 제시하고자 하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 아동 공동생활가정 종사자의 리더십 역량은 직무착근도 및 사회적자본과 조직문화에 모두 긍정적인 영향을 미치며, 사회적자본과 조직문화는 리더십 역량이 직무착근도에 미치는 영향을 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 그동안 간과되었던 리더십 역량이 직무착근도에 미치는 영향 관계를 규명하여 직무착근도를 높이는 방안을 제공했으며, 직무착근도를 높이는 관련 변인을 리더십 역량, 사회적자본, 조직문화 등으로 새롭게 확장했다는 점과 리더십 역량이 직무착근도에 미치는 영향 관계에서 사회적자본과 조직문화의 매개효과를 밝혀냈다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

70세 이상 후기노인의 사회적자본이 건강관련 삶의 질에 미치는 영향 (The effects of Social Capital of old-old elderly of more than 70-year-old on their health-related quality of life)

  • 70세 이상 후기노인의 사회적자본이 건강관련 삶의 질에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 M시의 70세 이상 후기노인 258명에 대해 1차는 2013년 10월 15일부터 11월 15일까지, 2차는 2014년 12월 1일부터 12월 30일까지 설문조사를 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 18.0과 AMOS 21.0 프로그램의 구조방정식 모형을 활용하여 분석하였으며, 매개효과의 통계적 유의성을 분석하기 위해 소벨검증(sobel-test)을 실시하였다. 사회적자본이 건강관련 삶의 질에 미치는 요인은 성별, 교육수준, 동거여부, 운동 여부, 수면시간, 도움요청가족수, 도움요청친척수, 일반신뢰가 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다(p<0.05). 연구 모형을 검증한 결과 사회적자본은 건강관련특성에 직접적 영향을 미치고, 건강관련특성은 삶의 질에 직접적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 사회적자본은 건강관련 삶의 질에 간접접인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 연구 결과를 통해 후기 노인들의 사회적자본이 건강관련 삶의 질에 영향을 미치는 요인들 중의 하나로 인식될 수 있으며 건강관련 삶의 질을 향상시키고, 사회적자본 수준을 증대시키기 위한 정책마련을 제안한다.

공유경제에 대한 소비자지식과 참여 (Consumer Knowledge and Participation in the Sharing Economy)

  • This study examines the level of consumer knowledge regarding the concept and characteristics of the sharing economy along with the role of the three economic players in the sharing economy. This study develops scales for measuring a consumer's knowledge level and the knowledge level using these scales as well as analyzes the impact of knowledge levels, socio-demographic variables, social capital, and knowledge sharing on participation in the sharing economy. The scales measuring the level of knowledge in the sharing economy were composed of 22 questions for the concept, 30 questions for the characteristics, and 15 questions for the role of the economic parties. Consumer's knowledge level regarding the concept and characteristics of the sharing economy and the role of the economic players was very low. In particular, the knowledge on the concept was insufficient. Women's knowledge on the sharing economy showed higher scores than men. Consumers with higher scores in social capital and knowledge sharing showed higher scores of the knowledge level on the sharing economy than those behind in these two variables. A higher knowledge level of the sharing economy resulted in higher participation in the sharing economy. Issues and directions for future studies on the sharing economy were proposed.

한국인의 사회자본과 건강: 사회경제적 요인 및 건강 관련 생활습관을 중심으로 한 분석 (Social Capital and Health in South Korea: Considering Socio-economic Factors and Health-related Lifestyles)

  • 목적: 이 연구는 사회자본, 사회경제적 요인, 건강행동의 관계, 그리고 이 요인들이 한국인의 주관적 건강에 미치는 영향을 파악하고자 시도되었다. 방법: 통계청의 2006년 사회통계조사 원자료를 사용하여 분석하였다. 사회통계조사는 표본규모 33,000 가구내 15세 이상 가구원 약 7만명을 대상으로 수행되었다. 이 연구에서는 이 가운데에서 25세 이상 59세 이하 인구중 결혼 경험이 있는 37,928명을 추출하여 분석하였다. 사회자본, 사회경제적 요인, 건강행동의 관계, 그리고 이 요인들이 주관적 건강에 미치는 영향을 파악하고자 경로분석을 실시하였다. 결과: 교육 (0.069), 주관적 계층(0.108), 결혼(0.054), 가족관계 만족도(0.087), 기관신뢰(0.020), 시민참여(0.021), 운동(0.037), 그리고 금연(0.011)이 주관적 건강에 긍정적인 직접효과를 미치는 것으로 분석되었다. 그러나 절주 (-0.067)는 직접효과가 부정적인 것으로 나타났다. 결론: 사회자본이 건강에 긍정적 영향을 주는 것이 분명한 만큼, 건강증진사업 개발시 사회자본을 고려하여, 이의 유지 및 증진을 통해 건강수준의 긍정적인 변화를 유도하는 것이 필요하다. 특히 절주사업에서는 개인을 대상으로 하는 사업 이외에, 전반적인 사회 음주문화의 변화를 이끌어내는 사회적 문화에 대한 고려가 필요할 것으로 생각된다.

소셜 미디어에서 정보공유를 위한 애착의 매개역할: 사회적 자본이론 관점 (Mediating Roles of Attachment for Information Sharing in Social Media: Social Capital Theory Perspective)

  • Currently, Social Media, it has widely a renown keyword and its related social trends and businesses have been fastly applied into various contexts. Social media has become an important research area for scholars interested in online technologies and cyber space and their social impacts. Social media is not only including web-based services but also mobile-based application services that allow people to share various style information and knowledge through online connection. Social media users have tendency to common identity- and bond-attachment through interactions such as 'thumbs up', 'reply note', 'forwarding', which may have driven from various factors and may result in delivering information, sharing knowledge, and specific experiences et al. Even further, almost of all social media sites provide and connect unknown strangers depending on shared interests, political views, or enjoyable activities, and other stuffs incorporating the creation of contents, which provides benefits to users. As fast developing digital devices including smartphone, tablet PC, internet based blogging, and photo and video clips, scholars desperately have began to study regarding diverse issues connecting human beings' motivations and the behavioral results which may be articulated by the format of antecedents as well as consequences related to contents that people create via social media. Social media such as Facebook, Twitter, or Cyworld users are more and more getting close each other and build up their relationships by a different style. In this sense, people use social media as tools for maintain pre-existing network, creating new people socially, and at the same time, explicitly find some business opportunities using personal and unlimited public networks. In terms of theory in explaining this phenomenon, social capital is a concept that describes the benefits one receives from one's relationship with others. Thereby, social media use is closely related to the form and connected of people, which is a bridge that can be able to achieve informational benefits of a heterogeneous network of people and common identity- and bonding-attachment which emphasizes emotional benefits from community members or friend group. Social capital would be resources accumulated through the relationships among people, which can be considered as an investment in social relations with expected returns and may achieve benefits from the greater access to and use of resources embedded in social networks. Social media using for their social capital has vastly been adopted in a cyber world, however, there has been little explaining the phenomenon theoretically how people may take advantages or opportunities through interaction among people, why people may interactively give willingness to help or their answers. The individual consciously express themselves in an online space, so called, common identity- or bonding-attachments. Common-identity attachment is the focus of the weak ties, which are loose connections between individuals who may provide useful information or new perspectives for one another but typically not emotional support, whereas common-bonding attachment is explained that between individuals in tightly-knit, emotionally close relationship such as family and close friends. The common identify- and bonding-attachment are mainly studying on-offline setting, which individual convey an impression to others that are expressed to own interest to others. Thus, individuals expect to meet other people and are trying to behave self-presentation engaging in opposite partners accordingly. As developing social media, individuals are motivated to disclose self-disclosures of open and honest using diverse cues such as verbal and nonverbal and pictorial and video files to their friends as well as passing strangers. Social media context, common identity- and bond-attachment for self-presentation seems different compared with face-to-face context. In the realm of social media, social users look for self-impression by posting text messages, pictures, video files. Under the digital environments, people interact to work, shop, learn, entertain, and be played. Social media provides increasingly the kinds of intention and behavior in online. Typically, identity and bond social capital through self-presentation is the intentional and tangible component of identity. At social media, people try to engage in others via a desired impression, which can maintain through performing coherent and complementary communications including displaying signs, symbols, brands made of digital stuffs(information, interest, pictures, etc,). In marketing area, consumers traditionally show common-identity as they select clothes, hairstyles, automobiles, logos, and so on, to impress others in any given context in a shopping mall or opera. To examine these social capital and attachment, we combined a social capital theory with an attachment theory into our research model. Our research model focuses on the common identity- and bond-attachment how they are formulated through social capitals: cognitive capital, structural capital, relational capital, and individual characteristics. Thus, we examined that individual online kindness, self-rated expertise, and social relation influence to build common identity- and bond-attachment, and the attachment effects make an impact on both the willingness to help, however, common bond seems not to show directly impact on information sharing. As a result, we discover that the social capital and attachment theories are mainly applicable to the context of social media and usage in the individual networks. We collected sample data of 256 who are using social media such as Facebook, Twitter, and Cyworld and analyzed the suggested hypotheses through the Structural Equation Model by AMOS. This study analyzes the direct and indirect relationship between the social network service usage and outcomes. Antecedents of kindness, confidence of knowledge, social relations are significantly affected to the mediators common identity-and bond attachments, however, interestingly, network externality does not impact, which we assumed that a size of network was a negative because group members would not significantly contribute if the members do not intend to actively interact with each other. The mediating variables had a positive effect on toward willingness to help. Further, common identity attachment has stronger significant on shared information.

생애사를 통해 본 중산층 기혼 여성의 첫 자가마련을 위한 주거경로 (Housing Pathways of Middle-class Married Women Toward Owning the First Home Through Life History)

  • The purpose of this study is to explore the housing pathways of middle-class married women toward owning a first home. In doing so, an in-depth interview as a qualitative method was conducted, life history was utilized to track down the path to first-home owning, and all the interviews were transcribed for analysis. The research participants were well-educated middle-class full-time housewives owning a home. The findings indicated that family formation through marriage and child birth was a primary driving force to buy a home. It was shown that owning a home was perceived not just as a stepping stone for building both family wealth and social capital but as one of the most important pillars to reinforcing traditional family values. In spite of some intergenerational distinctions on the path toward home owning, commonalities across generations included that home owning was considered to be a social icon for middle-class, it became almost impossible for younger generations without parental support which stimulated the intergenerational transfer of wealth, and it was greatly determined by both family income (affordability) and home finance options(borrowing capacity). This research implies that the changing social landscape transforms the value on homeownership and could undermine the socioeconomic strengths of home owning. Nonetheless, it's of importance to strategically assist first homebuyers who are likely to be a member of middle-class.

공무원 개인의 사회적자본이 공직업무효율성에 미치는 영향 - 제주특별자치도 공무원을 대상으로 (Effects of the Social Capital of individual Civil Servants on the Efficiency of Public Service - Focus of civil servants in Jeju province)

  • 본 연구는 공무원이 개인적 수준에서 지역사회의 관계 속에서 생성된 사회적 자본이 책임있는 행정인으로서 공직업무를 수행함에 있어 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 살펴보기 위한 조사연구이다. 이를 위해 제주특별자치도의 일선 공무원을 대상으로 층화표본추출방법을 활용하여 500명을 무작위 추출하였으며, 2014년 5월19일부터 23일까지(5일간) 구조화된 설문지를 배부하여 조사하였다. 회수된 491부중 부실한 설문지를 제외한 476부를 SPSS win 19.0을 활용하여 T-test, One Way ANOVA, 그리고 다중회귀분석을 이용한 최종 분석에 사용하였다. 분석결과, 첫째, 공무원의 사회적 자본 수준은 여성공무원보다 남성 공무원이 공동체 의식규범, 참여 및 협력, 결사체가입에서 통계적으로 유의하게 높았고, 근무지에 따라서 결사체가입에 집단간 차이가 있었다. 또한 직급이 높아질수록 대체로 사회적자본이 높아지는 것을 확인하였다. 둘째, 사회적 자본이 공직업무수행효율성에 미치는 영향에서는 공무원 개인의 사회적 자본 중 가족동료 신뢰와 참여 및 협력은 공직업무효율성의 모든 하위요인 효과성, 능률성, 공식성, 윤리성, IT활용성에 정(+)적인 영향을 미치며, 이웃신뢰는 능률성을 제외한 나머지 4개 하위요인인 효과성, 공식성, 윤리성, IT활용성에 정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 그러나 지역의 공동체문화규범과 결사체 가입은 공직업무효율성의 모든 하위요인에 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다.
