Focusing on the hermeneutic instability of a key word of Paradise Lost, "wander," this study attempts to situate John Milton's early modern epic in the longue $dur{\acute{e}}e$ historical transition from seignorial to capitalist mode of production, especially the displacement and reorganization of producer population, a corollary of early phase of modernization. The historic experience of vagrancy and its normalization, and the concomitant shift of the primary human sociability from given to voluntary bonds, I suggest, shape and inform Milton's early modern rewriting of the Biblical story of the fall and his revising of the heroic epic romance into a plebeian romance of a wandering, companionate couple. While building on the critical consensus on this poem's deliberate distancing from the tradition of classical epic and chivalric romance, this essay argues that Milton re-appropriates and re-channels the aspirational aspect of chivalric wandering, or mobility, for his plebeian heroes, a companionate conjugal couple. The hermeneutic instability of the word wander, this essay suggests, captures the duality of the historic experience of vagrancy, both the tragic experience of displacement and the liberational and uplifting dimension of that experience.
According to industrial accident analysis of the Ministry of Employment and Labor in 2013, 38 workers were injured by fall accidents on average per day, and one worker died on average per day among them. In various industries such as heavy and construction industry, the full body harness is commonly used to prevent the fall accident. In developing full body harness, the designer considered only the workers' safety, without taking into account comfort and workability. The survey was conducted so as to search the problems of full body harness currently used by workers in heavy and construction industry. The survey questionnaire was given to 565 workers wearing full body harness in heavy and construction industry. The results of study showed that the development of new full body harness considering body size of korean was needed. The impotent factors for developing of new full body harness were the size and the weight of the full body harness. The full body harness taking into account body size was judged to contribute to more comfortable work, work efficiency and safety. The result of this study can be utilized as useful data in the development of new full body harness considering the body size of korean workers.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine preventive effects of water drinking on postprandial fall of blood pressure in the elderly. Method: Participants were 25 elders who had experienced postprandial fall of systolic blood pressure of more than 15mmHg in a previous study. Within subject repeated measures design using random order allocation was used to control extraneous variables among participants. During the experiment, each participant had to drink 400mL water before lunch, whereas when in the control, they only had their lunch. Blood pressure and heart rate were measured for both times before lunch and at 15 minutes intervals up to 90 minutes after lunch. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, repeated measures of ANOVA, paired t-test and Bonferroni adjustment as Post-hoc analysis. Results: Water drinking before lunch elicited significant pressor effects by increasing systolic and diastolic pressure $13.9{\pm}4.7/5.2{\pm}2.2mmHg$ compared blood pressure during the control p<.005, p<.022. Heart rate, however, did not change significantly at either time. Conclusion: Drinking water before meal is recommended for elders who experience postprandial hypotension. However, the appropriate volume of water to prevent postprandial fall in blood pressure should be further studied.
The purpose of this study is to examine which factors determine fall experience among Korean elderly. To achieve this purpose, it uses the Korean Longitudinal Study of Aging(KLoSA), wave 1 and 2. Participants aged 65 from wave 1 were selected. From wave 2, a dependent variable was selected and it was fall experiences since the first interview in 2006. Other than this variable, all independent variables were selected from wave 1. In analyses, x2 or t-test were conducted to examine whether independent variables significantly differ between falls and no falls. Then, since a dependent variable consisted of two categories-falls or no falls, multiple logistic regressions were run. Female, using hearing aid, having two diseases, having three or more diseases, depression, and exercise 5 times/a week or more elevated the odds ratios of fall experience. compared to their reference categories. Particularly, if Korean elderly had three or more diseases or depression, their likelihood of fall experience would have about 2 times higher than their reference categories. In conclusion, health practitioners should make the elderly be recognized how much these risk factors are important to falls. Also, Korean government should support Korean elderly having these risk factors to prevent them from falling.
The materials generating from volcanic eruption are volcanic gases, lavas and pyroclastic materials. Volcanic ash which has small-grain size (< 2 mm in diameter) can be moved easily and disperse widely, thus it may affect to communities across hundreds of square kilometers. The impacts from volcanic ash fall on people, structures, equipments, plants and livestock largely depend on ash thickness. According to increasing ash thickness, the intensity and area of damage may increase and affect significant damages not to human health but also to infrastructures. To reduce the impacts from volcanic ash fall, we have to establish the guidances about the nature and extent of the hazard and prepare the actions to increase abilities of communities to manage hazard. Although we don't have any experience caused by volcanic ash fall during and after volcanic eruption, we need to prepare the impacts of volcanic ash fall for future eruption in the areas surrounding Korea.

This paper presents the findings obtained from several series of analysis on the fatal accident, which are maintained by Korean Production Household Mascot Safety Industrial Complex, relative to fall. The fall accidents occurred in 5 years, from 2002 to 2006, were analyzed. The statistic relative to the fatal accidents analyzed according to different classifications such as accident rate, project amount, project type, cause, type of occupation. years of experience, and time in a day. This research would contribute to ensure the effectiveness of safety policy so as to enhance worker safety. In addition, cluster analysis was applied to find the major contributors on the fall accidents. Cross referencing between occupation and type of work, and occupation and cause were established so that the occurrence statistics of fall accidents were investigated.

Purpose : Few studies have examined the relationship between elderly falls and quality of life (QOL) in a large general population. Furthermore, although many studies have investigated the relationships between socio-demographic factors and falls, relatively few studies have evaluated the associations of places and environments with QOL of fall. The purpose of the scheme was to identify the relationship between falls and QOL in a large sample of the elderly. Methods : This study used raw data from the 2013 Korean community health survey. A total of 228,781 people participated in the 2013 study among them 61.552 people were aged 65 or older. Authors also excluded 40 people whose QOL confirmation was unclear. Therefore, final analysis was conducted 61,512 senior citizens. The survey contained questions about the occurrence of falls, number of falls occurring per year, location of occurrence, and cause of falls. QOL was measured using the EQ-5D, an evaluation tool developed by the EuroQol group. Results : The results showed a statistically significantly lower QOL to little fear and full of fear as compared with no fear of falls (p<.05). The number of falls was statistically significantly lower in one, two, and three or more times, than in zero (i.e. no falls)(p<.05). In the falling environments, fall experience, but not related to lighting (p>.05), had a significant lower in QOL compared without the experience (p<.05). Conclusion : This study concluded that there is a strong connection between fall and QOL to the elderly, particularly regarding the number of occurrences, place, and environment. However, we found that an environment (e.g. the lack of lighting) might not affect QOL. It means that when the experts who make an effective tool or intervention may not need to consider indoor and outdoor darkness.
Background: To investigate the association between regular physical exercise and falling experience for 2 years and fear of falling (FOF) in Korean middle-aged and elderly population. Methods: Data from the Korean Longitudinal Study on Aging was used and 3,871 participants who exercised regularly were included at 2006 and follow-up until 2018. An analysis was performed to investigate the association between exercise (exercise time per week and duration) and falls (experience over past 2 years and FOF) using the generalized estimating equation model. Results: Compared to those who exercised more than 5 hours a week (reference group), those who exercised less than 3 hours were more likely to experience falls and FOF (odds ratio [OR], 1.334; 95% confidence interval [CI], 1.059-1.682; OR, 1.218; 95% CI, 1.119-1.326, respectively). Compared to the group who exercised for more than 5 years, those who exercised for less than 1 year were more likely to experience FOF (OR, 1.310; 95% CI, 1.162-1.478). Conclusion: This study showed that there was a negative relationship between physical exercise time and falling experience and FOF in Korean 45 years or more community-dwelling adults. Based on these results, physical activity can be expected to have a positive effect on fall prevention, which implies the need for policy and research on long-term physical activity programs.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the incidence and influencing factors of falls in the institutionalized elderly. Method: A descriptive survey design was used with a convenience sampling of 430 institutionalized elderly. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire. Results: The falls rate after admission in institution was 8.4%. Types of injury after falls were mostly contusion and fracture. Interventions for fall prevention were environmental management and regular evaluation of risk factors for falls. Fall experience was significantly different according to admission periods. Type of falls was significantly different according to state of ADL. Predictors for falls were longer admission periods and dependent state in ADL. Conclusion: Falls is important health related problem in the institutionalized elderly, so effective fall prevention program is needed for their health promotion.
This study analyzes the effect of demographic changes on economic growth. We use the supply-side output identity to forecast the growth potential of the Korean economy. According to the results, even based on optimistic assumptions and prospects, the economic growth rate is likely to fall drastically starting in 2020. Of course, to maintain growth potential, efforts to increase productivity are necessary. However, given the historical experience of developed countries, it is not clear whether the huge trend of demographic change can be offset by efforts to increase productivity. In the so-called '30-50 club' countries, both labor productivity and growth rate tend to fall after reaching the per capita income of $30,000. The degree of decline in the growth rate is closely related to changes in the working age population and the prime-age workforce. The results are similar when tracking the path of changes in total factor productivities of the economy. When a certain level of income is reached, the increase in total factor productivity also tends to slow down. The ripple effects of rapid changes in demographics will indeed be extensive. The negative impact is likely to be concentrated at a time when the working age population, the prime-age workforce, and the total population shrink simultaneously. Above all, it is necessary to use the government's fiscal space to block the possibility of a rapid fall in the growth rate. In addition, it is important to continuously implement various reform tasks that should be promoted, such as improving the education system and strengthening the social safety net.
