In the circumstance, various roles of private security guards have been demanded. A private security guard as the first contactor of the users of multi-use facilities should first find an accident field situation and make a response when an accident occurs, and should give first aid as most as possible until emergency medical workers arrive. However, there is a lack of first-aid education for the private security guards who are responsible for the safety of facility users. Therefore, the purpose of this study is first to find how many times private security guards have job and first-aid education, and analyze how the education count influences their first-aid ability; secondly to analyze how private security guards' satisfaction with first-aid education influences their first-aid ability. To achieve the purpose, this researcher conducted a questionnaire survey on first-aid ability of the private security guards working in the metropolitan areas. For data analysis, Stata se/ 14.0ver was applied. For the analysis on validity and reliability, exploratory factor analysis was conducted and a Cronbach's a value was drawn. To find the actual conditions of first-aid education, frequency analysis, inter-group difference analysis, and multi-regression analysis were conducted. According to the data analysis, there were not enough times of job education and first-aid education for private security guards, and their satisfaction with first-aid education and first-aid ability were difference depending on the job and first-aid education counts. The researcher's questionnaire consisted of three variables: necessity of first aid education, application to security practice, and improvement of job satisfaction. In this study, Chronbach's Alpha coefficients were calculated to measure the internal validity for the reliability of the questionnaire. In order to verify the validity of the measured variables, exploratory factor analysis was carried out using the Berimax rotation method. The mean variance extracted AVE and the conceptual reliability CR value of the measurement result variables were both above the allowable reference value of 0.5 and it was judged to be a good test in terms of intensive validity. As a result of the hypothesis test, the standardization coefficient was 1.106 for 'necessity of first aid education ⇒ applied to security practice work', and 'applied to security work practice ⇒ improvement of job satisfaction' was 1.063 and the relationship of hypothesis 1 hypothesis 2 was significant (+), Respectively. Therefore, in order to increase the job satisfaction of security related workers, it is necessary to support first aid education and to receive first aid education.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of care workers' employment characteristics and perception of facility directors' transformational leadership on quality of service through a hierarchical linear model. For this aim, survey data were collected amongst 240 older adults and 200 care workers who are affiliated within 45 long-term care facilities in Seoul, and analyzed using SPSS 26.0 and HLM 8.0. As a result, one's perception of transformational leadership had a positive effect, whereas, among employment characteristics, employment type and working hours had negative effects on quality of service. Regular workers with fewer working hours and higher awareness of transformational leadership toward the director provided higher quality of service. But wage, total experience and tenure didn't meaningfully affect it. Therefore, the following suggestions were presented. First, it is necessary to reorganize incentive, salary systems and budgets, changing the status of temporary workers' hourly wage system into that of regular workers' monthly one in order to strengthen employment security with acknowledging fundamental professional values through reinforcement of expertise. Reinforcement of long-term care's publicness and establishment of base facilities are also suggested. Second, maintaining appropriate hours of work and rest including annual leave under the Labor Standards Act is needed. Also, increasing the salary of and decreasing working hours for night shift workers are required. Third, education and intervention for inspiring transformational leadership of directors and strengthening qualification standards of them are required.
