We live now in information society. High-tech communication technique of information came up to our daily life thoroughly. Then, what will happen to change the field of architecture in information society\ulcorner This study realized architecture in virtual reality by choosing technique in virtual reality that was able to alternate architecture in reality. The result of this study: 1. We promoted some shopping malls by making use of 'an active world' that is one of the virtual reality programs. As a result, we could know that we were able to find out goods faster than reality economically and purchase them in virtual reality. 2. There are many fields that we can adapt the architecture in virtual reality beside the shopping malls. For example, they can be a museum, an art gallery, and educational facility, a movie theater, a government and public office, and a recreation facility. 3. The architecture in virtual reality will cause to change our lifestyles and environments and to coexist architecture in reality.

Given separated points divided by a line, called a wall, in a plane, we aim to make a gate in the wall to connect the separated points to each other. In this setting, the problem is to find a location for the gate that minimizes the average distance between the points. The problem is a variant of the well-known facility location problem, which is extensively studied in the fields of operations research, location theory, theoretical computer science, and so on. In this paper, we consider the $L^1$-distance of the points in the plane. The points are projected onto the wall and so the problem is transformed to a proximity problem of points on a line. Then it is shown that the transformed problem is related to the weighted median problem of points on the line. Therefore, we obtain an O(n log n)-time algorithm to solve our problem.

일반적으로, 고정된 시설물을 관리하기 위하여 관리자가 수동으로 제어하거나 혹은 센서를 이용하여 자동으로 시설물을 제어할 수 있다. 그러나 기존의 구현은 중앙 시스템에서 시설물의 상태 데이터를 수집하기 어려운 문제점이 있다. 이 논문에서는 시설물의 정보를 근거리 통신망인 지그비를 이용하여 수집하는 중앙 관리 시스템에 대하여 제안한다. 제안된 시스템은 시설물의 상태 정보를 수집하기 위하여 다양한 종류의 센서를 사용한다.

The practiced conventional methods for maintenance management in Malaysian Polytechnic faced many issues due to poor service delivery, inadequate finance, poor maintenance plan and maintenance backlogs. The purpose of this study is to improve the conventional method practices which tend to be ineffective in Malaysian Polytechnic. The case studies were conducted with eight Polytechnics and are selected based on conventional method practices and its major problems. There are around 32 Polytechnics in Malaysia and almost are using conventional methods. The number is considered very big indicating that the use of modern Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is still very limited compared to other institutions of higher learning in Malaysia. The overall findings of this research indicated; poor service delivery, inadequate financial, poor maintenance planning and maintenance backlogs. There is also need to overcome less man power competencies of maintenance management practices which existed with all eight Polytechnics. The proposed system is intended to be used for maintenance management practices at Malaysian Polytechnics in order to provide high-quality of building facility with safe and healthy environments.

The research for development of remote monitoring and control systems composed three stages of research categories. At the first stage, we decided the suitable instrumentation devices for interface between H/W systems and waste water treatment facility. And at the second stage, we developed the software package for remote monitoring and data transmission system including data receipt system via wired telephone line. At the final stage we developed local control system for auto-process control of waste water treatment facilities. For the first stage of research we developed the a drawing of design the instrumentation and selected optimal sensors or monitoring basic important data. The development of data communication and network technology has brought a change to various communications through the internet. Regarding the stable internet service, corporations and Individuals came to require an internet data center in which there is computer equipment and network devices available 24 hours everyday. The internet data center is now on a large scale in its structure and facility, suitable for the internet environment that is under development in various dimensions, and effective for task support, stable facility, capable of space expansion and flexibility, and easiness in ease of maintenance and management, etc. The monitoring center of the data center which is one of the core facilities in the center, special space elements and functions as well as a function of task space are to be put into consideration additionally. This study was to present a proposal for the space elements and environmental design of a monitoring center, which could create an efficient and comfortable room.

Purpose: Financial independence of the museum is an urgent issue in Korea. In this paper, methodology to combine arts and culture facilities with senior society is investigated based on case study of various senior programs in other countries. Methods: In this paper, case study of various senior programs from cultural and arts facilities in other countries are investigated in the aspect of public nature and independent management. Based on the analysis of the case study, optimal methodology is derived. Results: Based on case study of various senior program in other countries, it is clear that art and cultural facilities play important roles in participating elderly people to various social activities through developing programs specialized for elderly people. Conclusion: From analysis of the case study, senior program from arts and culture facilities provides more familiar contents rather than professional contents. Also, they consider more on communication and cooperation with local society to develop the senior program, which fulfill both public nature and financial independence.

For increasing the quality of SCADA system, the application of image information is demanded from typical SCADA system based on data information. Until now, the remote control and monitoring systems combine data information but now gradually have trends to combine voice, data and image information. So multimedia technology is applied to realize new SCADA system. Depends on these requires, we apply new concepts of communication network and multimedia technology to the SCADA system for electric facility. In this paper, we aim at developing multi media supervisory control and data acquisition system based on data and image information, which used electric power system and security system.

1980년대 후반부터 시설물관리기관과 지방도시들이 시설물관리차원의 도형 정보시스템을 구축하면서 전국토에 대한 정밀하고 통일된 도형기초에 대한 수요가 발생하였다. 1990년대가 되면서 부터는 국토관리와 이용 및 효과적인 의사결정을 지원하기 위한 국토정보시스템 구촉의 필요성이 대두되었다. 따라서 현행도면중 최대축척인 지적도를 도형기초로 하고 지적도의 지번정보를 이용하여 행정, 체신, 통계 등과 연계할 수 있는 종합토지정보시스템(Parcel-Based Land Information System) 구축을 위한 연구가 진행중에 있다.

According to the development of scientific technique, approvement of income level, diversification of recreation, etc., modem society human being demand for the facility for communication, education, and information in the community. So, School is watched by the community as a continuing education center where is expropriated diversify demands. On the other hand, the fact is that education program by community demands in the school facility has not been set. Then, this study aim to suggest to proper education program by consequence of question.
