The purpose of this study is to know on the changes characteristics of eye brow forms of the wester women. A facial image which people recognize contents on changes of image according to various eye brow changes on the face. Various changes of image were seen by length, angle and thickness of eye brow types. The ancient Egyptians used antimony powder to blacken their brows huge black lines. In medieval times, women shaved both their eye brows and their hairlines to give a pure look. The early nineteenth century, brows were untweezed and natural. In the 1920s, when women started paying attention to their faces and their freedom, brows were tweezed, narrowed. In the 1930s, the idealized faces of Jean Harlow, Marlene Dietrich and Greta Garbo - narrow tracery of drawn on brows. The eyebrows is filled various shape of the 1950s. In the 1970s, the Disco Decade of Dreadful tastes, women were at their tweezers again, manicuring their brows. Brooke Shields's natural-looking brow would be an example of the 1980s. In the 1990s, the eyebrow designed by superstar makeup artists who determined the look of fashion model and screen star.

Various current events provide evidence that society is undergoing changes in perceptions of social relationships. Specifically, visual media in the form of advertisements can convey images which reflect society's values and concepts about role relationships. The purpose of this research was to examine ads in fashion magazines to determine what types of model roles and role relationships typically appear in fashion advertising which can mirror society's values. A content analysis was conducted of ads obtained from US Vogue and US GQ for the year 2002. Six kinds of roles/relationships were found: (1) Narcissism (representing self absorption), (2) sexually enticing opposite-sex relationships, (3) close/romantic same-sex relationships, (4) friend relationships, (5) family relationships, and (6) independent relationships. Of these, narcissism predominated, however, a small number of sexually provocative ads appeared as well as same-sex romantic relationships. Because sole (single) models were more typical, they also were examined to determine ways in which they relate to the audience. Characteristics examined included body presentation & pose, eye gaze, and facial expression. Direct eye gaze was the typical way to engage the audience. Gender differences were apparent: smiling was more typical of women, indifference for men. The symbolic meaning and values investigated from this research are the blurring of gender identity portrayed in homosexual imagery, family values, and the value of youth. The consistency of models' race in ads does not portray the diversity reflected in the demographic census.

Through the classical records of the oriental medicine my investigation of the authorities of the epilepsy by classifying the etiology, symptoms and the treatments of it and camparing them has led to the following conclusion. 1) The etiology of 'epilepsy' can be classified into wind(風), sputum(痰), fever(熱) convulsion and caul. 2) The symptoms of it fall into the following nine ones; Sudden strong contraction making Sounds within the mouth, unoonsciousness, mutual jerks of the facial muscules foaming form the mouth, trismus contractive of extremities general body rigidity recovering after the fit and no rest. 3) The symptoms of Epilepsy are classified into 'Um type epilepsy'(癲) and the 'yang type epilepsy'(癎), and then the former has nine kinds in sympatomatic state and latter seventeen. 4) The treatment of the case can be made by using of cold drugs mainly for the purpose of mind purification(淸心), fever abatement(降火), Sputum-elimination(化痰) and normalization of metabolism(順氣) and Sometimes the function of the liver should be normalized by giving liver function normalizing medicine after Emetics. In comparison with the western way of using Anti convelsents therapy and electricshock therapy, the way of its treatment based on the classification of the causes is considered to be far more desirable.

The purposes of this study is to survey the clinical findings of congenital muscular torticollis. The subjects were 44 congenital muscular torticollis patients who were treated at physical therapy department of rehabilitation medicine, presbyterian medical center during the period Jan. Dec. 1991 The results were as follows : 1. Patients were evenly divided by gender(22 bodys, 22 girls). Left-sided involvement was found in 27 cases$(61.4\%)$, and right side in 17 cases$(38.6\%)$. 2. Abnormal delivery was 29 cases$(65.9\%)$. Those included resarean section, breech presentation with vaginal delivery and difficulty delivery. 3. Most of torticollis were primipara infant 33 cases$(75\%)$ 4. Associated congenital anomalies were noted in 12 cases, the most common cases were central co-ordination disturbance. 5. Patients was most commonly referred form the department of pediatrics. 6. Sternocleidomastoid fibrotic nodules were noted in 32 cases$(72.7\%)$. 7. Four cases had excision of the sternocleidomastoid fibrotic nodules in infancy and average at which operation was twelve months of life(range from nine months to fourteen months). 8. Facial asymmetry was noted in 13 cases at the begining of treatment, and the asymmetry was corrected after treatment in 10 cases. 9. The average duration of treatment was 3 months when the treatment was started in 3 weeks old. 10. The result was good in 22 cases$(50\%)$, fair in 12 Cases$(27.3\%)$.

본 논문에서는 얼굴 애니메이션을 좀 더 실질적으로 표현하기 위하여 한글 생성의 원리와 입 모양 형태의 유사성을 기반으로 기본 음소를 선정하고 이를 이용하는 새로운 알고리듬을 제안한다. 카메라를 통해 얻어진 특징 점 이용이 아닌, 모션 캡쳐 (Motion Capture) 장비를 사용하여 실제 입모양의 움직임 데이터를 취득하여 취득된 데이터를 지수 증,감 형태로 나타내어 발성에 대한 음소를 표현하고 연속된 음절을 표현하기 위하여 지배 함수(Dominance Function)와 혼합 함수(Blending Function)를 적용하여 동시 조음에 대한 표현을 해결하였다. 또한 음절 간의 결합 시간을 입 주변의 마커(Marker) 거리 값의 변위를 이용하여 그 기울기 값에 따라 시간 지연을 함으로 현실감 있는 사용자 입력 문자에 대한 입 모양 궤적 데이터를 생성하는 실험 결과를 보여준다.

Ameloblastic carcinoma is a malignant form of ameloblastoma defined by histological evidence of malignancy in primary, recurrent, or metastatic tumor. Such a tumor is rare, and the maxilla is an unusual site. Due to its rarity, the characteristics of this tumor in the maxilla have not been well described. Case 1: A 55-year-old, ill-appearing Nigerian male presented to our center with left maxillary swelling of seven-year duration. The swelling had been slow-growing and painless until one year prior, when the growth became rapid and was coupled with severe pain. The swelling affected both oral function and facial esthetics, and the patient reported difficulty breathing. There was a maxillary, ulcerated swelling extending from teeth 12 to 18 and blocking the left nostril. The involved teeth were moderately mobile. Case 2: A 32-year-old male farmer presented with recurrent right maxillary swelling of six-year duration. Prior to this episode, he had undergone surgery for ameloblastoma (follicular type). The present swelling was fungating through the skin and protruding into the right nostril. Ameloblastic carcinoma is an aggressive odontogenic tumor that requires aggressive surgical treatment.

Purpose: Variation in the morphology of gingival papilla may be determined by the shape and position of anatomic crown as well as contact area and embrasure form of individual teeth. However, periodontal biotype classification is regarded to be subjective because of the lack of definite criteria. In this study, we defined the objective parameters which constitute the periodontal biotype and measured their relationship. Materials and Methods: 109 of dental casts were prepared using three dimensional scanner and specialized reconstruction software, then acquiredvirtual models were sent to the 20 professional dentists to define the specific periodontal biotypes. Several parameters around periodontal structures were measured from the virtual models; facial surface area of the anterior tooth (AT), anterior papillary area (AP), proportion of the dento-papillary complex, clinical papillary length (PL), and clinical papillary angle (PA). Statistical analysis was performed to confirm the relationship among parameters. Results: Coincidence rate of periodontal biotype within observers was $63.77{\pm}16.05%$. Coincidence rate between observers was $76.15{\pm}16.43%$. Among the parameters measured, PL showed the most positive correlations and PA presented the most negative correlations. The parameter of the AP and PL of six maxillary anterior teeth showed significant correlation coefficient. Conclusion: Anterior papillary area and clinical papillary length would be objective parameters for determining the consistent periodontal biotypes.

Malignant tumors of the paranasal sinuses are quite rare entity, with maxillary neoplasms accounting for less than 1 percent of all head and neck malignancies. When considering the paranasal sinuses alone, 77 percent of cancers arise in the maxillary sinuses. There is no situation more frustrating than the management of the patients with chronic facial pain due to cancer. The initial step in managing patients with cancer pain is the use of oncologic therapy in the form of radiotherapy, surgery, chemotherapy, alone or combined, either to effect a cure or decrease the size of the tumor and thus decrease or eliminate the pain. When oncologic therapy is ineffective in providing relief, the pain must be treated by one or more of the followings: Systemic analgesics and adjuvant drugs, psychologic techniques of analgesia, neurostimulating techniques, neuroablative surgical procedures, regional analgesia with local anesthetics or neurolytic blocks. An 82-year old patient had severe pain of the orbital and infraorbital region due to squamous cell carcinoma of the maxillary sinus. We successfully treated this patient with the percutaneous retrogasserian ethanol gangliolysis by a H$\ddot{a}$rtel approach, and the analgesia lasts until the death of the patient.

컴퓨터를 매개로 하여 재화가 생산되고 새로운 용역이 창출되는 21세기를 맞이하며 인터넷환경에서 대화형 엔터테인먼트산업은 무한한 가능성을 가진 것으로 평가되고 있다. 인터넷에서 다루어지는 콘텐츠를 그 성격과 목적에 따라 Identity, Entertainment, Learning, Shopping, Community의 여섯가지 분류에 근거할 때 국내 인터넷 비즈니스의 가장 큰 부분을 차지하는 영역은 Shopping과 Community으로 볼 수 있다. 이 중 Community영역은 사이버 공간에서 가상사회를 형성하기 때문에 인터넷 비즈니스를 위해 매우 중요하다. 채팅(Chatting)프로그램은 PC통신을 근간으로 인터넷으로 발전되어 Community를 구성하는 가장 효과적인 수단이 되고 있다. 이러한 채팅이 기존의 텍스트 환경에서 애니메이션 그래픽 채팅으로 전환된다면 효과적으로 사용자들의 감성적 기호를 수용할 수 있다고 본다. 따라서 본 애니메이션 그래픽 채팅은 미래의 가상현실 기법을 동원한 사이버 채팅프로그램을 지향하면서 연구되었다.

The auricle is easy to be amputated in the face due to its protruding position. When facial parts are amputated, the mechanism of injury usually involves some form of avulsion, which damages these fragile vessels over a distance and renders them unsuitable for anastomosis. Replantation of the ear remains a challenging problem because of the tiny vessels and the paucity of adequate veins for anastomosis. Reattachment as a composite graft of the total or subtotal amputated ear is unreliable. Microsurgical replantation can be performed in a minority of cases because of technical difficulties and long operation time. In this article, the authors report two case of a successful ear replantation of completely amputated auricle. Only one artery and one vein were anastomosed in first case. In the other case one artery was anastomosed without vein. Instead of venous repair, multiple incision was done with leech application therapy. and the outcome was successful. In spite of the technical difficulties and long operation time, microsurgical replantation of amputated ear is better than other reconstructive method or reattachment without microsurgery.
