해수 환경에서의 철근과 GFRP 리바의 굽힘 강도 특성에 관한 연구 (A study on the bending strength characteristics of steel bar and GFRP rebar in salt water surroundings)

  • This paper describes the need for a ductile Fiber Reinforced Plastics (FRP) reinforcement for concrete structures. To promte the degradation of the adhesive condition at the fiber/matrix micro interface without matrix dissolution loss were carried out in salt water surrounding. The absorption properties and the bending strength were compared about GFRP rebar and steel bar.

  • The properties of FRP(fiber-reinforced plastics) depend not only on the characteristics of the matrix but also on the structure of fiber mat and the fiber type of reinforcement. Therefore it is very important to study the characteristics of reinforcement and matrix. In this paper, a method is proposed which can be used to measure the mean coeffcient of separation for the press molding of FRP, and the mean equivalent coefficient of separation is obtained from the separation coefficient. And the relationship between the mean equivalent coefficient of separation and the structure of fiber mat is discussed. The effects of corrlelation coefficient between separation and orientation on the mean equivalent coefficient are also presented.

  • In this work, the properties of FRP, which is applied recently in the composite insulating materials, by thermal treatment were investigated. The specimens were epoxy glass laminates fabricated by thermal press method and had the volume content of 46[%] cutted $45^{\circ}C$ in the fiber direction and 1.0[mm] thickness. The experimental results showed that the amount of weight loss, wettability, surface potential, and surface resistivity increased up to 200[$^{\circ}C$] as a function of temperature. Usually, most degradations caused the hydrophilic to decrease the contact angle. But, in this work on thermal-degradated FRP, we can confirm the introduction of hydrophobic properties by cross-linking and the ablation of polar small-molecules rather than chain scission and oxidation. Finally, weight loss and contact angle increased. These phenomena show the existence of hydrophobic surface. With the change to the hydrophobic surface and the electrical potential and resistivity on FRP surface increased. But, the dielectric properties and tensile stength are decreased.

  • 철근 부식을 해결하기 위해 FRP에 관한 연구가 증가하고 있다. CFRP는 경량화로 시공성이 용이하며, 내식성 및 내화학성이 뛰어나 이형철근 대체제로 지목되고 있다. 하지만 CFRP는 섬유와 레진을 압착하여 만들어져 열에 취약한 단점이 존재한다. 이러한 CFRP에 관한 연구는 미비한 실정이며, 본 연구에서는 고온 가열 이후 CFRP와 GFRP의 부착강도에 관한 연구를 실시하였다. 그 결과 규사코팅 CFRP와 리브형 CFRP, GFRP 모두 비슷한 부착강도 발현을 보였다.

  • Recently, an improved capacity for RC bridges is required by their deterioration or necessary to carry traffic increase. Strengthening is known as a better way to improve capacity of bridges than reconstructing. Fiber Reinforced Plastics (FRP) is introduced as one of the best strengthening structures in this paper. It is also known as an economical improvement. Therefore, FRP sheet and Glass Fiber-Steel Composite Plate (GSP) in this research were used in strengthening slab of RC bridges. Experimental data from the strengthening will be helpful to better understand the slab behavior and an effect of the strengthening.

유리탄소섬유 하이브리드 복합재의 절삭 조건에 따른 가공 결함 비교 (Comparison of Machining Defects by Cutting Condition in Hybird FRP Drilling)

  • Delamination and burr defects are important problems in drilling fiber reinforced plastics. A method for measuring FRP drilling defects has been studied. Delamination and burr factors were defined as the relative length or area. Using these factors, the effects of tool shape and drilling conditions on delamination and burr were studied. In this study, the defects that occur when drilling a glass-carbon fiber hybrid composite were compared in terms of three factors. In the glass-carbon fiber hybrid composite, the effects of the feed rate and tool point angle on the delamination and burr factors were similar to those in previous studies. The diameter of the tool did not affect the defect factor. A circular burr was generated in a drill tool with a point angle of 184°, and a relatively small deburring factor was observed compared with a tool with a point angle of 140°.

  • 최근 야외 방송 및 공연에 대한 수요가 많아지고 있다. 이에 따라, 외부의 비와 같은 환경에서는 설치된 스피커에 침수와 같은 손상을 입을 수 있고, 이로 인해 진동 및 소음이 발생할 수 있다. 이에 따라, 본 논문은 이동용 라우드 스피커(Loud Speaker)의 방수효과를 개선하기 위한 실험적 연구를 수행하였다. 스피커의 성능 시험을 위해 MDF(Medium Density Fiberboard)를 이용하여 인클로저(Enclosure)를 제작하였고, 방수효과비교 실험을 위해 3가지의 마감재 즉 일반 페인트(Paint), 시트지(Sheet Paper), FRP(Fiber Reinforced Plastics)를 제안하였다.

A critical steel yielding length model for predicting intermediate crack-induced debonding in FRP -strengthened RC members

  • Yielding of the internal steel reinforcement is an important mechanism that influences the Intermediate Crack-induced debonding (IC debonding) behavior in FRP-strengthened RC members since the FRP is required to carry additional forces beyond the condition of steel yielding. However, rational design practice dictates an appropriate limit state is defined when steel yielding is assured prior to FRP debonding. This paper proposes a criterion which correlates the occurrence of IC debonding to the formulation of a critical steel yielding length. Once this length is exceeded the average bond stress in the FRP/concrete interface exceeds its threshold value, which proves to correlate with the average bond resistance in an FRP/concrete joint under simple shear loading. This proposed IC debonding concept is based on traditional sections analysis which is conventionally applied in design practice. Hence complex bond stress-slip analyses are avoided. Furthermore, the proposed model incorporates not only the bond properties of FRP/concrete interface but also the beam geometry, and properties of steel and FRP reinforcement in the analysis of IC debonding strength. Based upon a solid database, the validity of the proposed simple IC debonding criterion is demonstrated.

FRP 선체구조용 접착제의 접착강도 평가 (Strength Evaluation for Adhesive Bonds of Adhesive with FRP Ship Body Structure)

  • Recently, the applied frequency of composite materials was increased from the viewpoint of lightweight, high strength and low cost when a leisure boat and a fishing boatwere built. However, studies on the mechanical properties of composite material with ship are rare. Specially, a leisure boat and fishing boat with FRP had been built by hand lay-up method. However, the vacuum infusion method is rising recently for ship building. The manufactured these FRP plates were combined by using the adhesive. Therefore, in this study Cleavage peel strength, Shear strength and fatigue limit of adhesive bonds by tensileloading were estimated. From test results, the strengths of FRP specimens made by the vacuum infusion method are higher than that of the hand lay-up method.

  • This study presents test results of RC beams strengthened by carbon fiber sheet (CFS) or carbon fiber reinforced plastics (CFRP) for increasing shear resistance. Fifteen specimens were tested, and the test was performed with different parameters including the type of strengthening materials (CFS, CFRP), shear-strengthening methods (wing type, jacket type, strip type), strip-spacing, strengthening direction of FRP. The results show that shear-damaged RC beams strengthened by either CFS or CFRP have more improved the shear capacity.
