Li-ferrite powders were prepared from mixture of Fe and Li salts using a hydrothermal method. Their crystal structure, microstructure and magnetic property were investigated with X-ray diffraction analysis, chemical analysis, SEM, and VSM. In the case of using FeCl3 as a precursor, Li-ferrite powders were synthesized. However, Fe3O4 was formed when the precursor was a divalented Fe2SO4 or FeCl2. The precipitation rate of Li-ferrite was increased as the reaction temperature increased. The optimum conditions of synthesis were the mole ratio of Fe+++/Li+=2, pH 13, the reaction temperature of 25$0^{\circ}C$ and the reaction time of 120min. With this condition, the spherical particles with good dispersion were obtained with average particle size of 0.4${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ and saturation magnetization of 65 emu/g.
The fraction of $\varepsilon\;and\;\gamma$'-iron nitride in compound layer is predicted by x-ray diffraction using direct comparison method. The validity of formulation models was checked by comparing calculated results with metallographic analysis of iron nitride compound layer grown on steel S45C by gas nitriding. The fraction of $\varepsilon$ calculated by the three phase model, porous-$Fe_3N$/ dense-$Fe_3N$/ mixed layer with $Fe_3N\;and\;Fe_4N$, is 80 percent of that analyzed by etching technique. The $\varepsilon$ fraction predicted by mixed layer model is 122 percent of that measured by microscope.
The major purpose of this study is to determine the dynamic behavior of soil-pile-structure interaction system considering the underground cavity. For the analysis, a numerical method fur ground response analysis using FE-BE coupling method is developed. The total system is divided into two parts so called far field and near field. The far field is modeled by boundary element formulation using the multi-layered dynamic fundamental solution that satisfied radiational condition of wave. And this is coupled with near field modeled by finite elements. For the verification of dynamic analysis in the frequency domain, both forced vibration analysis and free-field response analysis are performed. The behavior of soil non-linearity is considered using the equivalent linear approximation method. As a result, it is shown that the developed method can be an efficient numerical method to solve the seismic response analysis considering the underground cavity in 2D problem.

In this study liquefaction hazard potential was assessed by modified Seed and Idriss method and maps of liquefaction hazard potential utilized by LPI(Liquefaction Potential Index) and FE(Equivalent Liquefaction Factor of Safety) were constructed in two dimensional space, Comparisons of liquefaction hazard maps assessed by LPI and FE are represented to verify the FE method proposed in this study. Based on the results of comparing liquefaction hazard map using LPI and FE there is similar distribution trend of zonation indices. from the result of comparison of liquefaction hazard maps of FE base using Hachinohe and ofunato PGA(Peak ground Acceleration) data at one site of port and harbor in Korea the values of FE in liquefaction hazard map using Hachinohe data are underestimated. And in the view of quantitative analysis FE is more convenient than LPI because types of results from FE are factor of safety that widely used in geotechnical practice and aseismic design standard for port and harbor in Korea.
$Fe_3O_4$ was prepared on the $TiO_2-coated$ natural mica substrate. The natural mica has an average particle size of $22{\mu}m$. The substrate was coated on $TiO_2$ thin films using hydrothermal synthesis at pH 1.5-2.5 at $75^{\circ}C$. The Fe precursor solution was prepared by mixing $FeSO_4$ (for $Fe^{2+}$ ion) and $FeCl_3$ (for $Fe^{3+}$ ions) with different molar ratios such as 1/2, 1/1, 2/1, 3/0, and $Fe_3O_4$ only. X-ray diffraction analysis shows that the crystal structure depends on the $FeCl_3-to-FeSO_4$ molar ratio. $Fe_3O_4$ crystal phase could be obtained at higher $FeSO_4$ contents.
To analyze accurately the free vibration of a structure by using the finite element method (FEM), we model the structure as a numerical model with many degrees-of-freedom. However the FEM needs much computation time and storage in this case. The authors developed the finite element-transfer stiffness coefficient method (FE-TSCM) for overcoming the drawback of the FEM. In this paper, the authors apply the FE-TSCM to the in-plane free vibration analysis of plates with various shapes. Two numerical examples, a rectangular plate and a triangular plate, are used to compare the results of the FE-TSCM and the FEM. Through the numerical calculation, we confirm that the FE-TSCM can be applied to the plates with various shapes and is effective to in-plane free vibration analysis of plates.
The source transfer receiver model ('Source $\times$ Transfer = Response' model) which is widely used by NVH development process of vehicle/transport/machinery to analyze effectively and manage efficiently the structural dynamic behavior is also applicable to construction structure. If the evaluation assessment of the vibration level does not meet the target level, there are two methods, one is source treatment or replacement and the other is the reduction treatment on the transfer structure. In case of source treatment, it is done by source supplier and so, the latter is more practical method to reduce the vibration level. In this study, in order to get the accurate Transfer FE model(floor structure FE model), Experimental modal analysis of part of floor structure and FEM modal analysis of full floor structure are performed, then updating of FE model is performed after correlation analysis between these two results and finally, the modal model and FRF are compared between FE and Experimental results.
The floor impact sound insulations are installed frequently for reducing the floor impact sound into the floor slab of the residential buildings in recent years. Therefore the analytical FE model considering the insulations is needed for the sound and vibration analysis of the floor and it is necessary to use a refined finite element model for considering the large number of modes involving in the dynamic responses. So it is very difficult to use FE model because of the tiresome task for constructing the FE model, taking a lot of times for analysis and the impossibility of using the proportional damping. The efficient analysis and modeling method are proposed to the dynamic analysis for the floor with floor impact sound insulations in this study. The floor slabs and finished layers are modeled individually and the spring elements that mean floor impact sound insulations use to connect two parts. The dynamic analysis by the $Newmark-{\beta}$ method is performed to solve the non-proportional damping problem due to the damping coefficient of insulations .
In order to analyze accurately the vibration of a structure by using the finite element method (FEM), we have to model a analytical structure as a numerical model with many degrees-of-freedom. However, in this case, the FEM needs much computation time and storage. The authors developed the finite element-transfer stiffness coefficient method (FE-TSCM) for overcoming the drawback of the FEM. In this paper, the authors apply the FE-TSCM to the in-plane vibration analysis of general plates with various shapes. Two numerical examples, a rectangular plate and a triangular plate, are used to compare the results of the FE-TSCM and the FEM. Through the numerical calculation, we confirm that the FE-TSCM can be applied to the in-plane free or forced vibration analysis of the general plates with various shapes and is effective to in-plane vibration analysis of general plates.
