낙동강 유역 주요하천 구간에서 가뭄이 수온에 미치는 영향의 확률론적인 평가 (Probabilistic Evaluation of the Effect of Drought on Water Temperature in Major Stream Sections of the Nakdong River Basin)

  • In this work, we analyzed the effects of drought on the water temperature (WT) of Nakdong river basin major river sections using Standardized Precipitation Index (SPI) and WT data. The analysis was carried out on a seasonal basis. After calculating the optimal time scale of the SPI through the correlation between the SPI and WT data, we used the copula theory to model the joint probability distribution between the WT and SPI on the optimal time scale. During spring and fall, the possibility of environmental drought caused by high WT increased in most of the river sections. Notably, in summer, the possibility of environmental drought caused by high WT increased in all river sections. On the other hand, in winter, the possibility of environmental drought caused by low WT increased in most river sections. From the risk map, which quantified the sensitivity of WT to the risk of environmental drought, the river sections Nakbon C, Namgang E, and Nakbon K showed increased stress in the water ecosystem due to high WT when drought occurred in summer. When drought occurred in winter, an increased water ecosystem stress caused by falling WT was observed in the river sections Gilan A, Yongjeon A, Nakbon F, Hwanggang B, Nakbon I, Nakbon J, Nakbon K, Nakbon L, and Nakbon M. The methodology developed in this study will be used in the future to quantify the effects of drought on water quality as well as WT.

TBM공법 적용 현장별 생산성 분석을 통한 효율성 개선 방안 (A Study on Efficiency Improvement through Productivity Analysis Based on TBM Operation Data)

  • 본 연구는 독일의 WRITH사에서 개발된 장비로 수행한 TBM 수로터널 현장을 대상으로 TBM굴진(A), 커터 점검 및 교환(B), TBM 점검 및 급유(C), TBM 정비(D), 후속설비(E), 갱내보강(F), 운영교대(G), 광차(H)의 8개의 분석작업 항목별로 생산성 분석을 통한 효율성 개선 방안을 제시하였다. 제시된 결과를 가지고 각 항목별로 차지하는 손실시간을 추적하고, 이 손실시간을 제거하여 TBM 순굴진이 차지하는 시간과 백분율 그리고 월굴진장을 분석하였다. 또한, TBM운영 굴진율, 월평균굴진장(m), 순굴진율(%) 등을 외국현장의 TBM 운영 효율성의 비교 분석을 통한 상승예상 월평균 굴진장 추정과 독일의 WRITH사에서 표준치로 제시한 월평균 굴진장을 비교 분석하고, 5개의 수로터널현장 평균 암질의 압축강도 $675{\sim}1662kgf/cm^2$에서의 적정 TBM 순굴진장을 예측하였다.

지게차 사용 사업장에서 디젤엔진배출물질 노출지표에 관한 연구 (A Study on Exposure Indices for Diesel Engine Exhaust in Forklift Operating Areas)

  • Objectives: The objective of this study was to determine the exposure levels of forklift operators to diesel engine exhaust(DEE) using black carbon(BC), elemental carbon(EC), and nitrogen dioxide($NO_2$) as indicators. Methods: A total of eight forklift operators in six collection companies were assessed over a period of two months from July to September 2015. BC was measured using a real-time monitor and respirable EC samples were analyzed using the NIOSH method 5040. $NO_2$ samples were collected using a passive badge-type sampler. Results: The geometric mean of BC, EC and $NO_2$ were $3.1-19.1{\mu}g/m^3$, $2.1-23.8{\mu}g/m^3$, and 12.5-166.6 ppb at all companies. When forklifts were operating both outside and inside, BC concentrations increased 2.0-5.6 times. The highest increase was observed when forklifts were operating indoors. The increase in BC concentrations varied by company(company A: 2.0 times, B: 3.2 times, C: 5.6 times, D: 2.1 times, E: 5.1 times, F: 2.6 times). The geometric mean of BC, EC, and $NO_2$ for the forklift operators was $9.6{\mu}g/m^3$, $7.9{\mu}g/m^3$, and 48.9 ppb, respectively. The geometric mean of BC, EC, and $NO_2$ for manufacturing workers was $9.3{\mu}g/m^3$, $0.9{\mu}g/m^3$, and 85.2 ppb, respectively. The mean BC and EC exposure levels for the forklift operators were slightly higher than those for manufacturing workers, but $NO_2$ levels for manufacturing workers were higher than those for the forklift operators(p>0.05). Multiple regression analysis revealed that diesel exhaust emissions standard, forklift weight and forklift manufacturer were the most influential factors in determining worker exposure. Conclusions: In the DEE work environment, workers who perform tasks within the workplace as well as inside forklifts as operators are likely to be exposed to a lack of ventilation. Further study of forklift operators' exposure to DEE indicators should be conducted to include a wider range of occupational and environmental situations, such as collection procedures, seasonal situations, types of fuel used, and number of forklifts.

고산지역 강수의 화학 성분 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Chemical Features of Precipitition at High Mountain Area)

  • Recently, the acid precipitation, composed primarily of dilute $H_2$S $O_4$, HN $O_3$and originating from the burning of fossil fules, has become one of the major environmental problems. This study was carried out to investigate the chemical features of precipitation at Sobaek-san Meteorological Observation Station(mean sea level; 1,340m, 36$^{\circ}$56’N, 128$^{\circ}$27' E)from May 1991 to December 1993. The major Point in this study divided the whole wind directions into two parts. And, the two parts are the north- westerly wind case and south-easterly wind case. The concentration of anions and cations in precipitation were measured by ion chromatography(Dionex 4000i). The volumn weighted mean pH and conductivity values of the whole precipitation period were 5.26, 14.3$mutextrm{s}$/cm, respectively. The order and frequency rate of the major anions concentration in the north- westerly and south easterly wind case were S $O_4$$^{2-}$(49.3%) > N $O_3$$^{[-10]}$ (23.9%) > C $l^{[-10]}$ (14.8%) > $F^{[-10]}$ (12.0%) and S $O_4$$^{2-}$(61.1% ) > N $O_3$$^{[-10]}$ (21.5%) > C $l^{[-10]}$ (13.5%) > F/sip -/(4.0%), respectively. The order and frequency rate of the major cations concentration in the north-westerly and south- easterly wind case were $Ca^{2+}$(49.3%) > N $H_4$$^{+}$(24.2%) >N $a^{+}$(22.4%) >M $g^{2+}$(14.9%) > $K^{+}$(3.8%) and N $H_4$$^{+}$(4:3.8%) $Ca^{2+}$(28.6%) > N $a^{+}$(16.8%) > $K^{+}$(6.3%) > $Mg^{2+}$(4.5%), respectively. The larger anions and cations concentration values than others were S $O_4$$^{2-}$, N $O_3$$^{[-10]}$ and $Ca^{2+}$, N $H_4$$^{+}$, respectively. The correlation coefficient between pH value and ion concentrations for the north-westerly and south-easterly wind case was shown less than 0.5 except for Ca/.sup 2+/ in the statistical analysis SPSS. But the correlation coefficient for the all wind case between sulfate and cations was shown high correlation above 0.6.correlation above 0.6.

국내 시판 막걸리의 품질특성 비교 (Comparison of the Quality Characteristics of Commercial Makgeolli Type in South Korea)

  • 본 연구에서는 국내 시판되는 비살균 막걸리 8종의 품질 특성을 조사하였다. 막걸리 5종의 알코올 함량은 5.7~5.8%, G $6.7{\pm}0.1%$, D $6.8{\pm}0.2%$, C $7.5{\pm}0.1%$로 각각 분석되었다. 적정산도는 막걸리 C와 D에서 0.5%이상, H에서는 $0.49{\pm}0.02%$로 높게 나타났으며, 나머지는 0.45% 이하로 나타났으며, pH는 시료 간에 큰 차이는 없었다. 환원당 함량은 약 200 mg%정도이며, A와 F는 약 90 mg%로 낮게 나타났다. 유기산 중 malic acid는 막걸리 A와 G에서만 검출되었으며, acetic acid는 C와 D에서 높게 나타났다. 유리당 중 fructose와 sucrose는 검출되지 않았으며, glucose 함량은 막걸리 G에서 $335.1{\pm}40.3$ mg%로 가장 높게 나타났다. Maltose 함량은 막걸리 E($73.5{\pm}1.8$ mg%)를 제외하고는 $23.5{\pm}1.0{\sim}45.0{\pm}1.1$ mg%로 비슷하게 나타났다. 알코올 성분으로는 1-propanol, 2-methyl-1-propanol 및iso-amylalcohol이 검출되었으며, 함량은 0.4~0.5 mg/mL로 탁주규격에 적합하였다. 이상과 같이 막걸리의 이화학적 특성을 비교하였으며 발효제, 담금조건, 담금유형별에 따른 품질분석에 관한 연구가 요구되었다.

익사(溺死) ($WHO-E_{929},\;E_{934}$)의 역학적(疫學的) 관찰(觀察) (An Observation on the Incidence of Drowning Death in Korea)

  • This paper describes the incidence and some epidemiological features of drowning accident out of a series of our study on the epidemiology of various accidents in Korea. By the daily press it is apparent from the frequent reporting of swimming accidents that the incidence would be high. In the rural areas, there are, at present, about 1,250 artificial lakes and farm ponds to be utlized for rice production. The reservoirs, irrigation ditches and riversides are also used for recreation. In most places facilities for aquatic activities is meager, and safety measures for the prevention of drowning is not sufficiently enforced. In the survey crude data on drownings were collected from the concerned governmental statistic books for the period 1955 to 1967 which were compiled not in a uniform way. Drownings were classfied into two categories, one is accidental drowning, E 929 and the other is due to cataclysm, E 934, according to the WHO international classification of diseases. Epidemiological variables in relation to drowning accident were obtained through qualitative analysis of informations from the popular news papers. The following summary may be drawn; 1. The average number of deaths due to accidental drowning totaled 1,088 annually and the mortality rate per 100,000 population was 3.4, The 42.0% of all drownings were rescued and the remaining were not saved. 2. The sex ratio (M/F) of the victims for all ages was 5 to 1, which had a wide range of difference among the age groups. The young ages less than 20 years occupied 68.0% of all deaths. 3. The percentage distribution of the causes of accidents revealed 31.9% for careless swimming, 45.5% for unskilled, 10.6% for swimmer's cramp and 6.0% for drunked. The distribution of places where accidents occurred showed 88.0% for rivers, water reservoirs, irrigation ditches and 12.0% for regular swimming pools. The seasonal distribution of cases indicated 85.0% of the total were seen during the summer months, June-August, and 50.0% of them occurred on Sundays, 4. The average annual deaths due to cataclysm were 402 and mortality rate per 100,000 population was 1.6, but the number of victims due to cataclysm varied greatly each year. 5. The accident cases due to cataclysm were classified into 60.0% for injuries, 40.0% for deaths. The 26.8% of all deaths were missing cases. 6. The deaths due to either accidental drowning or cataclysm totaled 1,490, and the death rate per 100,000 for the whole country was 5.0.

백령도에서 관측된 장거리 유입 PM1.0의 주성분 공간 분포: PSCF 및 군집분석 관계 (Spacial Distribution of PM1.0 Major Compounds from Long Range Transport at the Baegryungdo Super Site: Relationship between PSCF and Cluster Analysis)

  • The spacial potential source contribution function (PSCF) method was utilized by considering topography and height of back trajectories based on the measurement of organic typo matter (OM), $NO_3{^-}$, $SO{_4}^{2-}$, and $NH_4{^+}$ at the Baegryungdo Super Site ($37^{\circ}57^{\prime}N$, $124^{\circ}37^{\prime}E$, 135 m a.s.l. (above sea level)) for three selected periods (i.e., January~April, May~August, and September~December) in 2013. The PSCF were calculated on the contributions of trans-boundary transport to the hourly mean concentrations using a high-resolution time-of-flight aerosol mass spectrometer (HR-ToF-AMS). The cluster analysis using back trajectories was performed to identify the major airflows to the sampling site. The upper atmosphere in the Tianjin area of China and the lower atmosphere in the western coast area of Korea can be the major source of trans-boundary pollution to the sampling site during January~April resulted from PSCF. The area in Lianyungang-city and Liaoning-sheng, China can be responsibile for the nitrogen related secondary compounds during May~August, and Shandong Peninsula in China is the major source area during September~December. In addition, relationships between the cluster analysis of back trajectories and PSCF were investigated for the statistically significance level for the source areas.

Molecular Characterization of a Chinese Cabbage cDNA Encoding Thioredoxin-h that is Predominantly Expressed in Flowers

  • Even though three isotypes of thioredoxins (-f, -m and -h types) have been identified in a variety of plant cells, there are only a few reports on thioredoxin-h that were recently identified. In this study, a cDNA encoding a h-type of thioredoxin was isolated from a cDNA library of Chinese cabbage, and named here CTrx-h. An open reading frame of the gene contained a polypeptide of 133 amino acids with a conserved active center, WCGPC, which appeared in all of the thioredoxin proteins. A deduced amino acid sequence of the CTrx-h showed the highest sequence identity with those of Arabidopsis thioredoxin-h2 (75.2%) and thioredoxin-h5 (46.6%) proteins, but it shared a low sequence homology to other isotypes of plant thioredoxinm and thioredoxin-f. The CTrx-h protein that is expressed in E. coli represented not only an insulin reduction activity, but also electron transferring activity from NADPH to thioredoxin-dependent peroxidase. A genomic Southern blot analysis using the cDNA insert of CTrx-h revealed that the gene consisted of a small multigene family in Chinese cabbage genome. On the contrary to other thioredoxin-h proteins that were widely distributed in most tissues of the plant, the CTrx-h was predominantly expressed in flowers. The expression was very low in other tissues. The data of the Northern blot analysis suggests that the CTrx-h may have other functions in flower development or differentiation, in addition to its defensive role.

신경 활성화 연구의 원리와 최근 동향 (Principle and Recent Advances of Neuroactivation Study)

  • [ $^{15}O$ ]을 이용한 양전자 방출 단층촬영 기법(Positron emission tomography)은 핵의학 영상 기법 중에서 두뇌의 인지 기능과 연관된 두뇌 활성화를 정상인과 환자들로부터 연구하는데 큰 장점이 있다. $^{15}O-PET$, 특히 $H_2^{15}O$ PET 기법은 두뇌 국소 혈류 변화(rCBF; regional brain flow)를 상대적으로 비침습적이면서 동시에 정량적 측정할 수 있기 때문에 두뇌 기능을 연구하는데 오늘날 존재하는 핵의학 영상기법 중에서 가장 광범위하게 쓰이고 있다. 특히 $^{15}O$은 짧은 반감기로 인하여, 동일한 피험자를 서로 다른 과제 조건에서 반복적으로 측정하는 것이 가능하다. 이 PET기법은 fMRI와 같은 다른 기능 영상 기법에 비하여 기술적 제한이 있는데, 예를 들면 시간과 공간 해상도가 좋지 않다든지, 개인 데이터를 분석하기에 통계적 효율성이 부족하다거나 하는 문제이다. 그러나 최근에 3D 획득방법 같은 기술적인 발전으로 적은 양의 방사능 dose로 좋은 영상을 획득하는 것이 가능하게 되었고, 이는 다시 개개인으로부터 더 많은 수의 PET 스캔을 획득하는 것을 가능하게 하며, 결과적으로 개인 데이터의 분석이 가능한 통계적 효율성을 제공하게 되었다. 그 외에 $^{15}O$ PET 의 스캐너 환경이 소음에서부터 자유롭다던가, 개개 스캔이 각 과제 조건에서 불연속적이지 획득되기 때문에 상태 특정적 두뇌 변화를 연구하기에 유리하다는 PET연구 만의 장점이 있다. 본 종설에서는 정상인들이나 임상적 환자 집단을 사용한 예시적 연구들을 들어 $^{15}O$ PET의 장점과 한계를 논하고, 두뇌 활성화 연구에 효율적인 PET 연구 절차를 고안하기 위해 고려해야 할 사항들에 대하여 논하였다.TEX>$29.9{\pm}1.8%$, DMF: $7.6{\pm}0.5%$이었다. MEK에서 얻은 $[^{11}C]1$의 비방사능은 98 ($GBq/{\mu}mol$)이다. 각 물질의 질량 분석은 1: m/z 257.3 (M+1), 2: 257.3 (M+1), 3: 271.3 (M+1)이었다. 각 생성물질의 표지효율은 MEK에서 $86.0{\pm}5.5%:5.0{\pm}3.4%:1.5{\pm}1.3%$ $([^{11}C]1:[^{11}C]2:[^{11}C]3)$, CHO에서 $59.7{\pm}2.4%:4.7{\pm}3.2%:1.3{\pm}0.5%$, DEK에서 $29.9{\pm}1.8%:2.0{\pm}0.7%:0.3{\pm}0.1%$, DMF에서 $7.6{\pm}0.5%:0.0%:0.0%$이다. 결론: $[^{11}C]1$은 4가지 반응용매 중 MEK 반응용매에서 가장 높은 표지효율을 나타냈다. 부산물인 $[^{11}C]3$은 고성능 액체 크로마토그래피의 자외선, 방사능 검출기와 질량 분석법을 통해 물질을 추정할 수 있었다.의 개선 효과가 있는 것으로 판단되며 지질과산화에 대해서 강한 억제 활성을 나타내는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 결과로 복분자는 생활 습관병의 예방과 개선에 유효한 것으로 사료되었으며, 지질대사와 과산화지표의 검증을 통해 기능성 식품소재로 활용될 수 있음을 보여주었다.로서 역시 CTV 치료계획에서 적게 조사되었다(p=0.005). 기존의 ICRU 치료계획은 잔류종양의 크기가 작은 경우 불필요하게 정상조직에 많은 선량이 투여되기 때문에 CT를 이용한 CTV 치료계획을 적용하여 정상조직에 대한 피폭을 현저히 낮추고 잔류종양에 목표한 선량을 조사할 수 있다.

토양질소(土壤窒素)의 유효도(有效度) 검정방법(檢定方法)에 의한 황색종연초(黃色種煙草)의 적정시비량(適正施肥量) 추정(推定) (Prediction of Optimum Fertilizer Rate for Flue-Cured Tobacco by Nitrogen Availability in Soils)

  • 토양질소(土壤窒素)의 공급능력(供給能力)(유효도(有效度)) 검정방법(檢定方法)에 의한 밭토양의 비옥도(肥沃度) 평가(評價) 및 황색종연초(黃色種煙草)의 정적시비량(定適施肥量)을 추정(推定)하기 위하여 1982~1983년(年)에 23개소(個所)의 재배전(栽培前) 공시토양(供試土壤) 시료(試料)를 재료(材料)로 몇가지 토양검정치(土壤檢定値)에 의한 실내실험(室內實驗)과 이미 얻어진 무비구(無肥區) 건엽중(乾葉重)과의 상호관계(相互關係)를 검토(檢討)하였다. 토양(土壤)의 유효태질소(有效態窒素) 검정방법(檢定方法)으로서 본연구(本硏究)에서 사용(使用)된 a) 2주(週), b) 4주(週)동안의 항온(恒溫) 항습처리(恒濕處理)로 무기화(無機化)된 $NO_3-N$값, c) 0.01M-$NaHCO_3$ 침출물(浸出物)의 자외선(紫外線)(260nm) 흡광도(吸光度)값과 d) 동침출액(同浸出液)의 산분해(酸分解) 질소(窒素)값, e) 0.01M-$CaCl_2$ 용액(溶液)으로 자비(煮沸)하여 침출(浸出)한 질소(窒素)값과 f) 동용액(同溶液)으로 고온가압(高溫加壓) 침출(浸出)한 질소(窒素)값등의 모든 검정방법(檢定方法)이 무비구(無肥區)에서의 건엽중(乾葉中) 및 질소흡수량(窒素吸收量)과 밀접(密接)한 관계(關係)가 있었다. 따라서 유효태질소(有效態窒素) 토양검정결과(土壤檢定結果)로서 황색종연초(黃色種煙草)의 무비구(無肥區) 건엽중(乾葉中)의 추정(推定)은 물론, 토양비옥도(土壤肥沃度) 등급구분(等級區分) 및 적정시비량(適正施肥量) 추천범위(推薦範圍)의 산출(算出)도 가능(可能)하였다.
