Phoneme Recognition and Error in Postlingually Deafened Adults with Cochlear Implantation (언어습득 이후 난청 성인 인공와우이식자의 음소 지각과 오류)

  • The aim of this study was to investigate phoneme recognition in postlingually deafened adults with cochlear implantation. 21-cochlear implantee were participated. They was used cochlear implants more than 1 year. In order to measure consonant performance abilities, subjects were asked for 18 items of Korean consonants in a "aCa" condition with audition alone. The scores ranged from 11 to 86 ($60{\pm}17$)%. The consonant performance abilities correlated with implanted hearing threshold level, significantly (p<.046). This results suggest that consonant performance abilities of postlingual deafened adults cochlear implantee be important for implanted hearing. They had higher correct rates for fricatives and affricatives with distinctive frequency bands than for plosives, liquids & nasals with the same or adjacent frequency bands. All subjects had confusion patterns among the consonants of the same manner of articulation. The reason of consonant confusions was caused that they couldn't recognize different intensities and durations of consonants with the same or adjacent frequency bands.

  • The purpose of this study was to measure the polymerization contraction stress of two types of composite resins; chemical cured type(Cliarfil F II, Kuraray, Japan) and photo-cured type(Photo-Clearfil Bright, Kuraray, Japan). The stresses of composite resin by contraction measured with specially designed measuring device(Fig. 1). The stresses caused by shrinkage during hardening of specimens were measured according to the type of composite resins, thickness of specimen(0.65, 1.30 and 1.95mm), and ratio of catalyst to base in case of only chemical cured composite resin(0.5, 1.0 and 1.5). As the composite resin specimen shrank on hardening, the load cell recorded force vs time automatically on pen-recorder(Toa, Japan) with a cross-head speed 60mm/hr at 0~10 voltages up to 2 hours. The experiments were conducted in a room maintained at $23{\pm}2^{\circ}C$ and relative humidity $50{\pm}10%$. The results were as follows. 1. The contraction stress during hardening was higher in photo cured composite resin than in chemical cured composite resin. 2. The contraction stress during hardening was increased with thickness of composite resin specimen. 3. In chemical cured composite resin, the polymerization contraction stress was decreased with ratio of catalyst and base. 4. The contraction stress during polymerization was higher in early time after insertion of photo cured composite resin and chemical cured composite resin.

Evaluation of OH Radical Generation to Nanotube Morphology of TiO2 Nanotube Plate (TiO2 nanotube plate의 nanotube 형태에 따른 OH radical 생성량 평가)

  • In this study, a TiO2 nanotube was grown on a titanium plate by using anodic oxidation method for the evaluation of TiO2 nanotube morphology. The TiO2 nanotube was grown in an electrolyte containing ethylene glycol, 0.2 wt% of NH4F and 2 vol% of H2O. Applied voltage varied from 30 to 70 V and the morphology of the TiO2 nanotube was observed. After anodization, a TiO2 nanotube plate was immersed in 35℃ ethanol for 24 hours. Anatase and rutile crystal forms of TiO2 nanoutbe were observed after annealing. 4-chrolobenzoic acid, a probe compound for OH radicals, was dissolved in H2O in order to measure the OH radical. Liquid chromatography was used to check the concentration of the 4-chrolobenzoic acid. The OH radical generation by TiO2 nanotube plate was proportionate to the length of the TiO2 nanotube. Furthermore, when the number of TiO2 nanotube plate increased, the OH radical generation increased as well.

  • 본 논문은 다양한 형태의 웹 문서에 적용하기 위해서, 언어의 통계정보 및 후처리 규칙에 기반 하여 개선된 문장경계 인식 기술을 제안한다. 제안한 방법은 구두점 생략 및 띄어쓰기 오류가 빈번한 웹 문서에 적용하기 위해서 문장경계로 사용될 수 있는 모든 음절을 대상으로 학습하여 문장경계 인식을 수행하였고, 문장경계인식 성능을 최대화 하기 위해서 다양한 실험을 통해 최적의 자질 및 학습데이터를 선정하였고, 다양한 기계학습 기반 분류 모델을 비교하여 최적의 분류모델을 선택하였으며, 학습데이터에 의존적인 통계모델의 오류를 규칙에 기반 해서 보정하였다. 성능 실험은 다양한 형태의 문서별 성능 측정을 위해서 문어체와 구어체가 복합적으로 사용된 신문기사와 블로그 문서(평가셋1), 문어체 위주로 구성된 세종말뭉치와 백과사전 본문(평가셋2), 구두점 생략 및 띄어쓰기 오류가 빈번한 웹 사이트의 게시판 글(평가셋3)을 대상으로 성능 측정을 하였다. 성능척도로는 F-measure를 사용하였으며, 구두점만을 대상으로 문장경계 인식 성능을 평가한 결과, 평가셋1에서는 96.5%, 평가셋2에서는 99.4%를 보였는데, 구어체의 문장경계인식이 더 어려움을 알 수 있었다. 평가셋1의 경우에도 규칙으로 후처리한 경우 정확률이 92.1%에서 99.4%로 올라갔으며, 이를 통해 후처리 규칙의 필요성을 알 수 있었다. 최종 성능평가로는 구두점만을 대상으로 학습된 기본 엔진과 모든 문장경계후보를 인식하도록 개선된 엔진을 평가셋3을 사용하여 비교 평가하였고, 기본 엔진(61.1%)에 비해서 개선된 엔진이 32.0% 성능 향상이 있음을 확인함으로써 제안한 방법이 웹 문서에 효과적임을 입증하였다.

근육 피로도 분석시 사용되는 매개변수들간의 민감도 비교 연구

  • 근전도(EMG:Electromyogram)를 사용하여 국부 근육 피로(Localized Muscle Fatigue)를 정량화으로 분석 하기 위해 널리 이용되고 있는 AR(Autoregressive)모델의 1차 계수, RMS(Root Mean Square), ZCR(Zero Crossing Rate), MPF(Mean Power Frequency), MF(Median Frequency)를 선택하여, 근육이 발휘하는 힘과 시간의 흐름에 따라 근육 피로의 정도를 민감하게 나타내는 매개변수를 규명하였다. 피실험자 10명의 좌우 척추세움근(Erector Spinae Muscle)을 대상으로 등장수축(Sustained Isometric Contraction)조건에서 허리의 신전(Extension)운동을 실시하였다. 이때 발휘해야 하는 힘의 수준은 15%, 30%, 45%, 60%, 75% MVC 로 정하였고 각 수준마다 20초 동안 근전도를 측정하 였다. 데이터 분석은 총20초 구간의 근전도를 0.5초 간격으로 나누어 매개변수들을 각각 구하고 분석을 실시하였다. 시간의 흐름에 대한 피로도 분석 결과, AR 모델의 1차 계수와 MPF가 유의한 차이를 보였으며, 낮은 수준의 %MVC에서는 AR 계수가, 높은 수준에서는 MPF가 민감한 반응 결과를 나타냈다. 그리고 근육이 발휘하는 힘의 정도를 분석하기 위해 주로 사용되고 있는 RMS 보다는 더 AR 계수가 모든 수준에서 뚜렷하게 차이를 보인 것이 확인되었다. 따라서 AR 모델의 1차 계수가 근육의 피로 정도와 힘의 수준을 다른 매개변수에 비해 더욱 민감하게 구별함이 입증되었다. 이러한 결과는 다른 분야에서도 근육 피로를 정량적으로 측정하는데 사용될 수 있을 것으로 생각되며, 개인적 변이도를 고려한 확률 기법을 사용한다면 보다 정확한 근전도 분석이 이루어질 것으로 기대된다.있음을 알 수 있었다. 사료된다.의 결과는 자전거 에르고노미터의 결과가 트레드밀의 결과에 87.60%정도 나타났다.음을 관찰하였다. 특히 vitamin C와 E의 병용투여는 상승적으로 적용하여 간세포손상을 더욱 억제시킴을 알 수 있었다.mance and on TFP(Total Factor Productivity) growth which is a pure measure of firm performance. 승객석 Restraiant System의 구속 효과와 인체상해 연구 -어린이(6세)탑승자 중심으로-

  • 과거 8년간의(1985-1992) 통계에 의하면 정면과 측면 충돌시 구속 시스텡의 하나인 Airbag장착 차량의 사망자 및 중상자 수가 현저히 감소하고 있는 것으로 나타나고있다. 그 러나 최근 소비자로 부터의 Airbag에 관한 불만을 보고 받고 있다. 즉 구속효과를 발휘함에 있어 부수적으로 인체 부상을 유발하고 있다는 것이다. 사망내지는 심각한 부상은 방지하고 있으나 경미한 부상은 오히려 증가하고 또한 신체가 적은 여성 운전자나 6세 이하의 어린이 에게는 심각한 부상의 우려가 있다는 것이다. 본 연구에서는 구속시스템의 총아인 Airbag 시스템의 심각한 부수적인 부상 보고를 입증하기 위하여 우리나라 어린이 6세 신체를 기준 으로하여 구속시스템을 착용하지 않았을 경우(실제로 많은 경우), seat belt만 착용시, Airbag만 작용시, 그리고 seat belt와 Airbag을 동시에 사용할 때를 컴퓨터 Simulation Package 이용 신체 dynamic을 모의실험 하였다. 실험결과, 기존에 알려진바와 같이 구속시스템을 사용하지 않았을 경우에 부상은 매우 컸다. 신체 사이즈가 작은 어린이 혹은 여성 운전자의 경우 Seat belt만을 사용한 경우는 Airbag만을 사용한 경우보다는 부상정도가 약간 경미하였으나 두 경우 모두 인체가 구속시스템의 구속 범위를 이탈하여 구속 시스템으로써의 역할을 충분히 하지 못하고 있었다. 특히 Seat belt와 Airbag을 동시에 사용하였을시에도 Airbag이 충분히 개선된 이후라도 신체 사이즈가 작은 경우에는 흉부부위에 의한 충격 흡수가 먼저 이루어지지 못하고, 머리에 먼저 Airbag이 접촉이 되어 충격 흡수 역할보다는 반동효과가 더 커서 머리 및 몸체가 뒤로 Rebound 하는 효과로 머리, 혹은 목의 신체 부상한계를 넘고 있어 큰 부상 내지는 사망에 이르고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 사료된다.의 결과는 자전거 에르고노미터의 결과가 트레드밀의 결과에 87.60%정도 나타났다.음을 관찰하였다. 특히 vitamin C와 E의 병용투여는 상승적으로 적용하여 간세포손상을 더욱 억제시킴을 알 수 있었다.mance and on TFP(Total Factor Productivity) growth which is a pure measure of firm performance. A Study on the Priority and Evaluation Criteria of the Korea Export Insurance System (수출보험제도 기능의 우선순위 및 평가기준에 관한 연구)

  • This study aims to measure the relative importance of trade insurance using AHP developed by Thomas Saaty of Pennsylvania in early 1970s. Moreover, it provides help in the development of a comprehensive strategy of trade insurance. To obtain priority of trade insurance in its functions, this study discovered significance and relative importance of two evaluation standards and four individual evaluation items. Of the two evaluation standards, importance of credit exposure was 63%. It was discovered that it was more important than political means (37%). Of the four individual evaluation items, importance of banking supplementation was 60%. It was more important than credit investigation of overseas traders (40%). Importance of trade promotion policy was 69%, which was more important than removal of anxiety in trade (31%). As a result of comparing priorities of the f tire evaluation items, priority of banking supplementation was 38% followed by trade promotion policy means (26%), credit investigation of overseas traders (25%) and removal of anxiety in trade (12%).

Naval Vessel Spare Parts Demand Forecasting Using Data Mining (데이터마이닝을 활용한 해군함정 수리부속 수요예측)

  • Recent development in science and technology has modernized the weapon system of ROKN (Republic Of Korea Navy). Although the cost of purchasing, operating and maintaining the cutting-edge weapon systems has been increased significantly, the national defense expenditure is under a tight budget constraint. In order to maintain the availability of ships with low cost, we need accurate demand forecasts for spare parts. We attempted to find consumption pattern using data mining techniques. First we gathered a large amount of component consumption data through the DELIIS (Defense Logistics Intergrated Information System). Through data collection, we obtained 42 variables such as annual consumption quantity, ASL selection quantity, order-relase ratio. The objective variable is the quantity of spare parts purchased in f-year and MSE (Mean squared error) is used as the predictive power measure. To construct an optimal demand forecasting model, regression tree model, randomforest model, neural network model, and linear regression model were used as data mining techniques. The open software R was used for model construction. The results show that randomforest model is the best value of MSE. The important variables utilized in all models are consumption quantity, ASL selection quantity and order-release rate. The data related to the demand forecast of spare parts in the DELIIS was collected and the demand for the spare parts was estimated by using the data mining technique. Our approach shows improved performance in demand forecasting with higher accuracy then previous work. Also data mining can be used to identify variables that are related to demand forecasting.

Measurements of simulated periodontal bone defects in inverted digital image and film-based radiograph: an in vitro study

  • Purpose: This study was performed to compare the inverted digital images and film-based images of dry pig mandibles to measure the periodontal bone defect depth. Materials and Methods: Forty 2-wall bone defects were made in the proximal region of the premolar in the dry pig mandibles. The digital and conventional radiographs were taken using a Schick sensor and Kodak F-speed intraoral film. Image manipulation (inversion) was performed using Adobe Photoshop 7.0 software. Four trained examiners made all of the radiographic measurements in millimeters a total of three times from the cementoenamel junction to the most apical extension of the bone loss with both types of images: inverted digital and film. The measurements were also made in dry mandibles using a periodontal probe and digital caliper. The Student's t-test was used to compare the depth measurements obtained from the two types of images and direct visual measurement in the dry mandibles. A significance level of 0.05 for a 95% confidence interval was used for each comparison. Results: There was a significant difference between depth measurements in the inverted digital images and direct visual measurements (p>|t|=0.0039), with means of 6.29 mm ($IC_{95%}$:6.04-6.54) and 6.79 mm ($IC_{95%}$:6.45-7.11), respectively. There was a non-significant difference between the film-based radiographs and direct visual measurements (p>|t|=0.4950), with means of 6.64mm($IC_{95%}$:6.40-6.89) and 6.79mm($IC_{95%}$:6.45-7.11), respectively. Conclusion: The periodontal bone defect measurements in the inverted digital images were inferior to film-based radiographs, underestimating the amount of bone loss.

A Measurement of Sea Transportation Load (해상운송 하중측정)

  • This article summarizes the results of sea transportation load measurements, which will be used as the reference to the sea transportation environment condition for the launch vehicle of KSLV-I. KSLV-I will be transported by Sea from Pusan to the NARO space center in Gohung, Chunnam province. Since the vibration load condition during sea transportation is considered as one of the important design parameters of KSLV-I and its transportation means, it is necessary to directly measure the environmental condition of sea transportation loads prior to establish the sea transportation plan in detail. This material includes the measured data of 3-axis linear accelerations and 3-axis angular rates on the board of a barge-ship, which is towed by a tug boat during shipping operation. This barge-ship is same class with one which will actually carry KSLV-I. The results show that the measured load condition during sea transportation is not severer than the reference data of MIL-STD-810F and Zenit-3SL launch system.
