Volatile Compounds of Ascidian, Halocynthia roretzi

  • About 2.1g of pale yellow flavor concentrate was obtained from 10kg of chopped fresh ascidians through a Likens-Nickerson steam distilllation/solvent extraction. These concentrates could be fractionated to neutral $(91.5\%),\;basic\;(1.0\%),\;phenolic\;(3.2\%),\;and\;acidic\;(4.3\%)$ fractions. Total 65 volatile compounds were identified from those concentrates. The neutral fraction was representative flavor fraction which showed a similar flavor of total steam distillates of ascidian. The major compounds $(38.2\%\;of\;neutral\;fraction)$ were identified as carbon atoms 8 to 10 of alcohols. Among these volatile alcohols, 1-octanol, 2,7-decadien-1-o1, 3-octen-l-01, 7-decen-l-ol, and l-decanol were the dominent compounds found in neutral fraction. But the basic, phenolic, and acidic fractions differs from ascidian steam distillates flavor.

추기노즐 충격판 주변의 급수가열기 동체 감육에 대한 유동해석 (A Flow Analysis in the surroundings of the Impingement Baffle of the Extracting Nozzle for Shell Wall Thinning of a Feedwater Heater)

  • Feedwater heaters of many nuclear power plants have recently experienced severe wall thinning damage, which will increase as operating time progresses. Several nuclear power plants in Korea have experienced wall thinning damage in the area around the impingement baffle - installed downstream of the high pressure turbine extraction steam line - inside number 5A and 5B feedwater heaters. At that point, the extracted steam from the high pressure turbine is two phase fluid at high temperature, high pressure, and high speed. Since it flows in reverse direction after impinging the impingement baffle, the shell wall of the number 5 high pressure feedwater heater may be affected by flow-accelerated corrosion. This paper describes the comparisons between the numerical analysis results using the FLUENT code and the down scale experimental data which effect on disclosing of the shell wall thinning of the high pressure feedwater heaters by porous plate.

  • Volatile components in field bean (Dolichos lablab) were collected by simultaneous steam distillation and solvent extraction and analyzed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. One hundred and five components were identified including alcohols (32), ketones (18), aldehydes (9), acid (1), alkanes (5), aromatics compounds (4), esters (2), furans (2), naphthalene (1), pyrazines (4), pyridine (3), sulfur-containing compounds (4) and terpenes (7) and miscellaneous compounds (13). Relatively high concentration of n-hexanal found in the field bean might be undesirable to some consumers.

  • Volatile components in red bean (Vigna angularis) were investigated. Extracts prepared by simultaneous steam distillation and solvent extraction were analyzed by gas chromatography/mass spectrometry. One hundred and forty-two components including alkanes/alkenes (17), aromatics (5), furans (15), miscellaneous compounds (2), other nitrogen-containing compounds (11), aldehydes (11), naphthalenes (11), alcohols (34), ketones (23), sulfur-containing compounds (5) and esters (8) were identified. Some of these components, e.g. hexanal, were known to contribute to the "beany" odor in other beans. Due to the presence of such odor, red beans may not be acceptable to some consumers.

  • 두충엽의 휘발성 성분을 SDE 장치로 추출한 후 GC 및 GC/MS에 의해서 비교 분석하였다. 확인된 성분은 35개 성분이며 alcohol류 7종, aldehyde류 3종, ketone류 4종, ester류 2종. hydrocarbon류 18종, phenol 1종이 확인되었다. 이 중에서 가장 많이 함유된 성분은 2-ethyl furyl acrolein으로 추정되었는데 전체 휘발성 성분의 31.4%를 차지하였다.

  • Steam explosion process is an efficient pretreatment method for sparating and utilizing wood main components has attracted attention in utilization of ligno-cellulosic biomass. In order to obtain the effective pretreatment condition. this study was made explosion apparatus. examined the composition. extraction of exploded wood. Wood chips of pine(Pinus densiflora oak (Quercus serrata) and birch wood (Belula platyphylla var. japonica) were treated with a high pressure steam(20-30 kg/$cm^2$, 2-6 minutes). The results can be summarized as follow; In analysis of exploded wood(EXW). It was found arabinose residues rapidly decreased with increasing of steaming time and pressure. Extractives of EXW with sodium hydroxide increased with increasing of steaming-time and- pressure especially extractives 1% sodium hydroxide has higher than other extracted method extractives of hard wood(oak, birch) has higher than pine wood. In EXW extracted with sodium hydroxide and methanol lignin was partially delignified alkali extraction was more delignified than methanol extraction hardwood than pine wood.

아연 또는 비소와 경유로 오염된 토양의 복합정화공법 개발 (Development of Hybrid Remediation Method for Contaminated Soils with Zinc or Arsenic and Diesel)

  • The purpose of this study was to develope the remediation method of contaminated soils with metals and petroleum. The diesel degrading strain was isolated and identified from the soil contaminated by petroleum at industrial sites. Diesel biodegradation experiment was performed by diesel degrading bacteria in both solution and soil slurry. Contaminated soils by Zn or As and diesel were treated consecutively by steam-vapor extraction, biodegradation, and acid washing. The strain was identified as Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and named as Pseudomonas aeruginosa TPH1. The optimal culture conditions of TPH1 were $20^{\circ}C$ and pH 7.0, 3% of diesel concentration. Biodegradation of diesel was performed using the separated strain in liquid medium, and 63% of diesel was degraded in 72 hours. And 52% of diesel was removed in the tested soils. In the treatment of contaminated soils with diesel and Zn or As, 29% ~ 44% of diesel was reduced by steamvapor extraction, 60% ~ 71% of diesel was removed after biodegradation. 47% of Zn and 96% of As were removed after acid(mixture of sulfuric and oxalic acids) washing. It is recommended that consecutive treatment method of steam-vapor extraction, biodegradation and acid washing is effective for remediation of complex contaminated soils with metals and petroleum.

개선된 특징 추출을 이용한 원전SG 세관 결함 패턴 분류에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Classification of Steam Generator Tube Defects Using an Improved Feature Extraction)

  • 본 논문에서는 개선된 특징추출을 이용한 원자력 발전소 증기발생기 세관의 결함 형태 분류에 대한 연구를 수행한다. 본 논문에서는 4가지 축대칭 결함, 즉 I-In 형태, I-Out 형태, V-In 형태, V-Out 형태 결함을 고려한다. 유한요소법에 기초한 수치해석 프로그램을 이용하여 결함의 폭과 깊이를 변화시켜가면서 400개의 와전류탐상시험(ECT) 신호를 생성하였다. 이와 같이 생성된 ECT 신호로부터 새로운 특징을 제안하였는데, 여기에는 최대 임피던스 값을 갖는 점과 최대 임피던스 값의 1/2의 값을 갖는 점 사이의 위상각과 최대임피던스 값을 갖는 점과 최대 임피던스 값의 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%를 갖는 점사이의 위상각들이 포함된다. 또한, 결함형태를 분류하기 위하여 은닉층이 하나인 다층퍼셉트론을 사용하였다. 컴퓨터 모의실험 연구를 통하여 제안된 방법이 최대오차와 평균제곱오차 측면에서 향상된 결함 분류 성능을 얻는다는 것을 보였다.

토양중(土壤中) 유기염소계(有機鹽素系) 살충제의 용매추출법(溶媒抽出法)과 수증기증류법(水蒸氣蒸溜法)의 비교(比較) (Comparison of Steam Distillation with Solvent Extraction Method in Determining Organochlorine Pesticide Residues in Soil)

  • 토양중(土壤中)에서 유기염소계(有機鹽素系) 살충제(殺蟲劑) 잔유분(殘留分) 분석(分析)을 위(爲)한 보다 단순(單純)하고 효률적(效率的)인 방법(方法)의 하나로 수증기증류법(水蒸氣蒸溜法)을 이용(利用)한 추출과정(抽出科程)을 도입(導入)하여 용매추출법(溶媒抽出法)과 비교(比較) 검토(檢討)하였다. 공시(供試)한 8종(種)의 농약(農藥)가운데 ${\alpha}-BHC$와 heptachlor epoxide의 회수률(回收率)은 수증기 증류법으로 각각 47, 45%였으나 나머지 6종의 회수율은 평균(平均) 88%로 종래의 용매추출법(溶媒抽出法)의 회수율(回收率) 86%와 대등(對等)하였다. 경작지(耕作地) 토양(土壤) 15점(點)의 분석결과(分析結果)도 기존(旣存)의 용매추출법(溶媒抽出法)으로 추출(抽出)하여 정량(定量)한 값과 일치(一致)하였다. 본방법(本方法)은 조작(操作)이 단순(單純)하고 용매(溶媒)가 절약(節約)되며 경우에 따라서는 정제과정(精製過程)을 생략(省略)할 수 있는 잇점이 있었다.
