차량용 A/V 시스템의 구동부 소음원과 래틀 소음원에 관한 연구 (A Study on Noise Source Identification for Loading Mechanism and Rattle noise about A/V System)

  • This paper represents an identification procedure for leading mechanism of a car A/V system which is composed of a DC motor and a set of plastic gears. In addition, we studied dominant noise source of rattle noise generated by external forced vibration as a car drives. we made a dynamometer to produce stationary operation on loading mechanism of A/V system because noise generated by actual loading mechanism is non-stationary signal. operating the dynamometer setup at various motor speeds, sound pressure spectra are measured and the results are analyzed. its dominant noise source is also identified by using a sound Intensity technique. we made use of multi-dimensional spectral analysis to rind a dominant rattle noise. this method is so useful to eliminate coherence between vibration sources and helps us obtain coherent output spectrum of individual vibration source which make a rattle noise.

전력선통신 기반 음향 시스템 설계 및 특성 분석 (Sound System Design and Characteristic Analysis based on Power Line Communication)

  • 본 논문은 기존의 음향 시스템이 가지고 있는 시스템 구성의 어려움, 추가설치비용 증가, 비 친화적인 인테리어의 문제점을 해결하기 위한 연구이다. 기존 시스템의 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 전력선통신을 기반으로 새로운 음향 시스템을 설계하고 특성을 연구하였다. PLC 전용칩 INT5500CS을 사용하여 송신기와 수신기를 설계하였으며, 송신부에서 CD PLAYER로 음향 신호를 제공하고 수신부에 스피커를 연결하여 출력하는 음향 시스템을 구성하였다. 구성된 시스템의 특성분석을 위해 USBPre 외장사운드 카드와 PC기반의 음향 측정/분석 프로그램인 Smaart Live 5를 추가 구성하여 실험하였다. 실험 결과, Measurement 신호는 Reference 신호보다 $2{\sim}3$[dB]정도의 낮은 신호레벨을 보였으며, Latency는 16.69[ms]을 확인하였고, Coherency는 고 주파수대역에서 특성이 나빠졌음을 확인하였다. 반면에, Pink Noise 및 특정 주파수 1[kHz], Phase, Magnitude를 확인한 결과 90[%] 이상으로 정상적인 신호의 송수신이 이루어 졌음을 확인하였다. 이러한 결과, 본 고에서 설계한 시스템의 성능이 우수함을 밝혔고, 이를 통해 기존 오디오 신호 전송 시스템의 문제점을 해결하였다.

NO Reduction and High Efficiency Combustion by Externally Oscillated Staging Burner

  • It is difficult for a burner to achieve an increase in combustibility and a reduction of NOx emission, simultaneously. The reason is because thermal NOx could be reduced at low temperature, while the combustibility should be decreased. To solve this problem, an externally oscillated staging burner was developed, and experiment was conducted according to effective parameters. The combustibility could be improved through the accelerated transfer of heat, mass and momentum obtained by external oscillation. Also, NO is reduced by the decrease of residence time of burning gas in the local highest-temperature spot, which is decreased by the external oscillation and fuel staging. Experiments on variables were conducted to determine the reference flame, and the flame generating the lowest NO concentration was selected. The conditions of reference flame were oscillation frequency 250 Hz, sound pressure 1 VPP, and air ratio 1.1, and NO and CO concentrations were 1ppm and 20 ppm, respectively.

외이도용적에 따른 외이도공명의 변화 (Resonance Changes in the External Auditory Canal Associated with the Ear Canal Volume)

  • The external ear generates resonance gain because of anatomical characteristics. The ear canal resonance is influenced by the length and volume of the ear canal, the pinna, the concha cavity, the body trunk, and the speed of sound wave. This study is focus on the influence of the volume of ear canal. 17-healthy-adult (32 ears) were participated. They did not have any medical and ear disease history. The maximum resonance frequency of the ear canal was 2675 (${\pm}265$) Hz at azimuth $0^{\circ}$ and 2784 (${\pm}268$) Hz at azimuth $45^{\circ}$. The resonance gain was 18.1 (${\pm}3.9$) dB at azimuth $0^{\circ}$ and 17.9 (${\pm}3.8$) dB at azimuth $45^{\circ}$, respectively. The ear canal volume was 0.78 (${\pm}0.2$) cc and 1.32 (${\pm}0.8$) cc including static compliance. The ear canal resonance was changed depending on the ear canal volume. It was also statistically correlated at azimuth $0^{\circ}$ (p=0.038) and $45^{\circ}$ (p=0.013), respectively. The resonance gain was not correlated with the ear canal volume. The change of resonance frequency according to the ear canal volume will be useful information in the field of audiological rehabilitation especially for hearing aids fitting. In addition, we expected this study can provide the basic information for the study of the external ear resonance characteristics.

3차원 아음속 난류 공동 유동에 대한 수치적 연구 (NUMERICAL ANALYSIS OF THREE-DIMENSIONAL SUBSONIC TURBULENT CAVITY FLOWS)

  • Generally flight vehicles have many cavities such as wheel wells, bomb bays and windows on their external surfaces and the flow around these cavities makes separation, vortex, shock and expansion waves, reattachment and other complex flow phenomenon. The flow around the cavity makes abnormal and three-dimensional noise and vibration even thought the aspect ratio (L/D) is small. The cavity giving large effects to the flow might make large noise, cause structural damage or breakage, harm the aerodynamic performance and stability, or damage the sensitive devices. In this study, numerical analysis was performed for cavity flows by the unsteady compressible three dimensional Reynolds-Averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS) equations with Wilcox's $\kappa-\omega$ turbulence model. The MPI(Message Passing Interface) parallelized code was used for calculations by PC-cluster. The cavity has the aspect ratios of 2.5, 3.5 and 4.5 with the W/D ratio of 2 for three-dimensional cavities. The Sound Pressure Level (SPL) analysis was done with FFT to check the dominant frequency of the cavity flow. The dominant frequencies were analyzed and compared with the results of Rossiter's formula and Ahuja& Mendoza's experimental datum.

고주파 영역에서의 MR 유체 특성연구 (Material Characterization of MR Fluids at High Frequencies)

  • MR(Magnetorheogical) fluid composed of fine iron powders dispersed in silicon oil is utilized to many smart structures and devices because of its significant rheological property change by the application of an external magnetic field. When we deal with the shock wave attenuation of warship structures, we should be able to characterize the high frequency behavior of MR fluids. So far, however, many efforts have been focused on the material characterization of MR fluids at low frequencies below 100Hz. In this paper, the MR fluid property characterization at high frequency region is performed. An experimental setup based on wave transmission technique is made and the storage modulus as well as the loss modulus of MR fluids are found from the measured data of speed sound and attenuation. Details of the experiment are addressed and the obtained storage and loss moduli are addressed at $50kHz{\sim}100kHz$.

50 kHz Split Beam 데이터 수록 및 처리 시스템의 성능특성 (Performance Characteristics of a 50-kHz Split-beam Data Acquisition and Processing System)

  • The directivity characteristics of acoustic transducers for conventional single-beam echo sounders considerably limit the detection of fish-size information in acoustic field surveys. To overcome this limitation, using the split-aperture technique to estimate the direction of arrival of single-echo signals from individual fish distributed within the sound beam represents the most reliable method for fish-size classification. For this purpose, we design and develop a split-beam data acquisition and processing system to obtain fish-size information in conjunction with a 50-kHz single-beam echo sounder. This split-beam data acquisition and processing system consists of a notebook PC, a field-programmable gate array board, an external single-transmitter module with a matching network, and four-channel receiver modules operating at a frequency of 50-kHz. The functionality of the developed split-beam data processor is tested and evaluated. Acoustic measurements in an experimental water tank showed that the developed data acquisition and processing system can be used as a fish-sizing echo sounder to estimate the size distribution of individual fish, although an external single-transmitter module with a matching network is required.

MICROPHONE-BASED WIND VELOCITY SENSORS AND THEIR APPLICATION TO INTERACTIVE ANIMATION

  • We are developing a simple low-cost wind velocity sensor based on small microphones. The sensor system consists of 4 microphones covered with specially shaped wind screens, 4 pre-amplifiers that respond to low frequency, and a commercial sound interface with multi channel inputs. In this paper, we first present the principle of the sensor, i.e., technique to successfully suppress the influence of external noise existing in the environment in order to determine the wind velocity and the wind direction from the output from a microphone. Then, we present an application for generating realistic motions of a virtual tree swaying in real wind. Although the current sensor outputs significant leaps in a measured sequence of directions, the interactive animations demonstrate that it is usable for such applications, if we could reduce the leaps to some degree.

통근형 전동차의 객실 내 소음수준예측 (Prediction of the Noise Level inside Metro Electric Cars)

  • This paper deals with a method to predict the noise level inside metro electric cars running a single-line tunnel at the speed of 80km per hour using ray tracing method, a kind of ray acoustics generally used for a high-frequency and air-born noise analysis. The interior of the car including a under-frame, seats, side doors, end doors, door-pockets, side panels, end panel, a roof panel and so on is modeled. And in order to describe the noise power coming inside, artificial noise sources are designated using sound transmission loss data of each section measured from simple tests and external noise level. The noise level inside the car is calculated and its properties are investigated. The results satisfy the criteria on noise level inside the car.

청각모델을 이용한 이식형 인공중이 시스템의 신호 전달 특성 해석 (Analysis of Signal Transfer Characteristics of Implantable Middle Ear System using Acoustic Model)

  • 이식형 인공중이는 음질과 주파수 특성이 우수하며 기존의 공기전도형 보청기가 가지는 고이득에서의 왜곡과 음향 피이드백에 의한 링잉 현상을 해소할 수 있어 차세대 보청기로 주목받고 있다 특히 두 개의 영구자석을 같은 극기리 접착한 후 코일내부에 위치시킨 타동 전자 트랜스듀서 방식의 이식형 인공중이는 외부의 자기장에 대해 영향을 받지 않으며 진동효율이 높고 자석과 코일의 간격조정이 필요 없는 동시에 주파수 응답특성이 우수하다. 본 연구에서는 이식형 인공중이에 사용하위해 개발된 타동 전자 트랜스듀서의 음향 모델을 구현한 후 정상인의 귀의 청각 모델에 적용시켜 트랜스듀서를 통하여 내이로 전달되는 신호의 주파수 특성을 해석하였다. 해석된 결과를 정상인의 귀의 주파수 특성과 비교함으로써 인공중이를 사용할 경우와 정상인의 귀와의 신호전달 특성 차이를 조사하였고 이를 통하여 정상인의 청각특성에 가까운 신호를 전달시킬 수 있는 인공중이의 설계가 가능하도록 하였다.
