Precision Position Control of PMSM using Load Torque Observer and Parameter Compensator (외란관측기와 파라미터 보상기를 이용한 PMSM의 정밀위치제어)

  • This paper presents external load disturbance compensation that used to deadbeat load torque observer and regulation of the compensation gain by parameter estimator As a result, the response of PMSM follows that of the nominal plant. The load torque compensation method is compose of a deadbeat observer To reduce of the noise effect, the post-filter, which is implemented by MA process, is adopted. The parameter compensator with RLSM(recursive least square method) parameter estimator is suggested to increase the performance of the load torque observer and main controller The proposed estimator is combined with a high performance load torque observer to resolve the problems. As a result, the proposed control system becomes a robust and precise system against the load torque and the parameter variation. A stability and usefulness, through the verified computer simulation, are shown in this paper.

  • The precision stage is an essential device for optic fiber assembly systems, micro machines and semiconductor equipments. A new piezoelectric inchworm type actuator is proposed to implement an actuator-integrated long-stroke linear stage. An in-and-quadrature phase (I/Q) heterodyne interferometer is developed as a feedback sensor of a servo system, and a synchronized counting method is proposed. The proposed measurement system can measure the accurate position of fast moving object with robustness to external sensing noise from actuator vibration. The developed servo stage will be applied to optic fiber device assembly system.

  • This paper aims at demonstrating the feasibility of active control of beams with a multiobjective state-feedback control technique. The multiobjective state-feedback controller is de­signed on a linear matrix inequality (LMI) approach for the multiobjective synthesis. The design objectives are to achieve a mix of Hoo performance and H2 performance satisfying constraints on the closed-loop pole locations in the face of model uncertainties. The controller is also designed to reject the effects of the noise and external of disturbances. For the theoretical analysis, the governing equation of motion is derived by Hamilton's principle to describe the dynamics of a smart structural system. Numerical examples are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the integrated robust controller in damping out the multiple vibration modes of the piezo/beam system.

  • Recently, the HFPD measurement testing is widely used in partial discharge measurement of HV machines because HFPD measurement testing receives less influence of external noise and has a merit of good sensitivity. Also HFPD testing is able to offer the judgement standard of degradation level of HV machine and can detect discharge signals in live-line. Therefore it is very useful method compare to previous conventional PD testing method and effective diagnosis method in power transformer that requires live-line diagnosis. But partial discharges have very complex characteristics of discharge pattern so it is required continuous research to development of precise analysis method. In recent, the study of partial discharge is carrying out discover of initial defect of power equipment through condition diagnosis and system development of degradation diagnosis using HFPD(High Frequency Partial Discharge) detection. In this study, simulated transformer is manufactured and HFPD occurred from transformer is measured with broad band antenna in real time, the degradation grade of transformer is analyzed through produced patterns in simulated transformer according to applied voltages.

  • This paper presents an improved adaptive neural network autopilot based on our previous study for track-keeping control of ships. The proposed optimal neural network controller can automatically adapt its learning rate and number of iterations. Firstly, the track-keeping control system of ships is described For the track-keeping control task, a way-point based guidance system is applied To improve the track-keeping ability, the off-track distance caused by external disturbances is considered in learning process of neural network controller. The simulations of track-keeping performance are presented under the influence of sea current and wind as well as measurement noise. The toolbox for track-keeping simulation on Mercator chart is also introduced.

  • We have developed variety of LCD technologies for the out-door display, which improve out-door readability as well as reliability from external impacts. This improvement was made possible by new approach on LCD cell optical design and modification of LCD surface, which allows surrounding light to be transmitted to enhance the visibility and at the same time filtering out light, which are considered to be source of noise in terms of visibility. This technology enables users to maintain high display performance in both in-door & out-door environments moreover alternatively choosing in-door/out-door.

  • The large scale magnets like thermalnuclear fusion devices are necessary for superconducting CICC cable, When the Cable In Conduit Conductors(CICC) is occurred by the external turbulence, the CICC occurs to quench, The CICC can be broken because the CICC spends all energy in the quench-happened spot. Therefore, it is necessary to develop measurement systems of the quench detection. The measurement systems of the relative good degree of efficiency are the voltage tap sensors. The weak points of voltage tap sensors are effected by EMF noise and inductance. The thermalnuclear fusion devices easily can't measure inductance value because of plasma current. In the experiment, The value of inductance was estimated by FEM techniques and the decrement of Inductance value measured as long as remaining plasma current.

  • High-precision autonomous localization technique is essential for future Mars rovers. This paper addresses an innovative integrated localization algorithm using a multiple information fusion approach. Firstly, the output of IMU is employed to construct the two-dimensional (2-D) dynamics equation of Mars rover. Secondly, radio beacon measurement and terrain image matching are considered as external measurements and included into the navigation filter to correct the inertial basis and drift. Then, extended Kalman filtering (EKF) algorithm is designed to estimate the position state of Mars rovers and suppress the measurement noise. Finally, the localization algorithm proposed in this paper is validated by computer simulation with different parameter sets.

  • ES(Exponentially weighted Stepsize) 알고리즘은 연산 과정이 간단하고 수렴 속도가 빠르지만 Stepsize 값을 결정하기 위해 일정한 조건에서 결정된 공간 임펄스 응답들을 이용하기 때문에 외부 잡음이 발생할 경우 음향 반향 제거 성능이 저하된다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 반향 제거기에 Stepsize 생성기를 추가하여 외부 잡음에 대한 ES 알고리즘의 단점을 개선하고 잡음에 대한 강건함을 향상시키는 새로운 반향 제거기를 개발하였다. Stepsize 생성기는 두 개의 이동 평균기를 이용하여 외부 잡음에 크기와는 독립적으로 Stepsize 값을 결정하며, 이로부터 대각선(diagonal) 모양을 가지는 Stepsize 행렬을 생성하여 반향 제거기에 적용한다. 본 논문에서는 NLMS 알고리즘, ES 알고리즘, 제안된 알고리즘의 수렴 특성을 잡음의 크기별로 시뮬레이션 하였으며, 또한 제안된 알고리즘의 잔여 에러의 크기도 다른 두 알고리즘에 비해 5[dB] 에서 10[dB]정도 작아지는 것을 확인하였다.

  • Control voltage for baseband channel selection filter to select one of communication channels can be easily fluctuated according to external noise or variation of fabrication. In this paper, we design a voltage regulator with small chip area to keep control voltage constantly using current comparative method. Cut-off frequency of channel selection filter is automatically controlled by detecting current flow using the proposed voltage regulator.
