사용자의 감정을 표현하는 소형 로봇 (Handy Robot that Conveys User's Emotion)

  • 이 논문에서 우리는 로봇이 인간의 대화 내용 중에 전달된 감정을 인식하고, 그것을 효율적으로 표현하는 방법을 제안한다. 인간과 닳은 로봇을 만들기 위해 인간의 감정을 분석하는 연구들이 활발하게 진행되어 왔는데, 이러한 연구들 중에서 6가지 감정 분류체계 방법을 기반으로 본 연구의 감정 분석 방법을 제안한다. 제안된 방법은 우선 대화의 내용을 분석하고, 분석결과에 의해서 감정을 결정하며, 결정된 감정을 몸짓, 표정, 소리의 3가지 요소로 종합되어 표현한다. 우리는 이 논문에서 제안된 방법을 소형로봇에 적용하여 구현하였다.

  • 2D 게임에 등장하는 캐릭터의 비언어적 커뮤니케이션은 정확한 대사 전달과 캐릭터의 감정을 구체적으로 표현하기 위하여 중요한 역할을 담당한다. 이때 캐릭터에 의해 사용되는 비언어적 커뮤니케이션 행위는 많은 양의 대사와 결합되어 게임에서 표현된다. 본 연구에서는 2D 애니메이션에서 나타난 캐릭터의 비언어적 커뮤니케이션 행위의 유형을 분석하여 분류하였다. 다음으로 2D 게임 캐릭터 동작 제작을 위하여 Bone을 적용하여 캐릭터의 동작의 크기와 움직임을 설계하였다. 끝으로 캐릭터의 움직임을 시각화하였다. 이를 토대로 2D 게임 캐릭터의 감정표현을 위한 비언어적 커뮤니케이션 시스템 구축을 위한 기반을 제안하였다.

Interactive drawing with user's intentions using image segmentation

  • This study introduces an interactive drawing system, a tool that allows user to sketch and draw with his own intentions. The proposed system enables the user to express more creatively through a tool that allows the user to reproduce his original idea as a drawing and transform it using his body. The user can actively participate in the production of the artwork by studying the unique formative language of the spectator. In addition, the user is given an opportunity to experience a creative process by transforming arbitrary drawing into various shapes according to his gestures. Interactive drawing systems use the segmentation of the drawing image as a way to extend the user's initial drawing idea. The system includes transforming a two-dimensional drawing into a volume-like form such as a three-dimensional drawing using image segmentation. In this process, a psychological space is created that can stimulate the imagination of the user and project the object of desire. This process of drawing personification plays a role of giving the user familiarity with the artwork and indirectly expressing his her emotions to others. This means that the interactive drawing, which has changed to the emotional concept of interaction beyond the concept of information transfer, can create a cooperative sensation image between user's time and space and occupy an important position in multimedia society.

Human Laughter Generation using Hybrid Generative Models

  • Laughter is one of the most important nonverbal sound that human generates. It is a means for expressing his emotions. The acoustic and contextual features of this specific sound are different from those of speech and many difficulties arise during their modeling process. During this work, we propose an audio laughter generation system based on unsupervised generative models: the autoencoder (AE) and its variants. This procedure is the association of three main sub-process, (1) the analysis which consist of extracting the log magnitude spectrogram from the laughter database, (2) the generative models training, (3) the synthesis stage which incorporate the involvement of an intermediate mechanism: the vocoder. To improve the synthesis quality, we suggest two hybrid models (LSTM-VAE, GRU-VAE and CNN-VAE) that combine the representation learning capacity of variational autoencoder (VAE) with the temporal modelling ability of a long short-term memory RNN (LSTM) and the CNN ability to learn invariant features. To figure out the performance of our proposed audio laughter generation process, objective evaluation (RMSE) and a perceptual audio quality test (listening test) were conducted. According to these evaluation metrics, we can show that the GRU-VAE outperforms the other VAE models.

통일신라시대 와당의 식물 문양을 응용한 네일아트 디자인 연구 (A Study on Nail Art Design by Application of the Plant Patterns of the Wadang in the Unified Silla Period)

  • With the recent proliferation of Hallyu content, national interest in Korea and the demand for designs with traditional Korean patterns as a motif is on the rise. In addition, as customers' design requirements tend to value more and more detailed and differentiated handcrafted designs, research on the motifs used in nail experts' original nail design development and nail design is continuously needed. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to expand the scope of nail design motifs with high practical value by producing nail design works applying plant patterns of Wadang, used during the Unified Silla Period, and to diversify nail art expression techniques. The research reviewed domestic and foreign literature related to Wadang during the Unified Silla Period, analyzed the collection at the National Museum of Korea, and categorized the motifs based on the characteristics of plant patterns and Wadang during the Unified Silla Period. The tangible motifs are intended to be presented as a fusion of nail art design works that utilizes both flat and stereoscopic art techniques. Through this study, it was confirmed that the plant pattern of Wadang from the Unified Silla Period is an attractive motif that can be expressed in various nail designs expressing Korean emotions and traditional beauty, and furthermore, it can be used as basic data for the idea of various beauty design areas.

한국어 구문분석을 활용한 이유-감성 패턴 기반의 감성사전 구축 (Sentiment Dictionary Construction Based on Reason-Sentiment Pattern Using Korean Syntax Analysis)

  • Sentiment analysis is a method used to comprehend feelings, opinions, and attitudes in text, and it is essential for evaluating consumer feedback and social media posts. However, creating sentiment dictionaries, which are necessary for this analysis, is complex and time-consuming because people express their emotions differently depending on the context and domain. In this study, we propose a new method for simplifying this procedure. We utilize syntax analysis of the Korean language to identify and extract sentiment words based on the Reason-Sentiment Pattern, which distinguishes between words expressing feelings and words explaining why those feelings are expressed, making it applicable in various contexts and domains. We also define sentiment words as those with clear polarity, even when used independently and exclude words whose polarity varies with context and domain. This approach enables the extraction of explicit sentiment expressions, enhancing the accuracy of sentiment analysis at the attribute level. Our methodology, validated using Korean cosmetics review datasets from Korean online shopping malls, demonstrates how a sentiment dictionary focused solely on clear polarity words can provide valuable insights for product planners. Understanding the polarity and reasons behind specific attributes enables improvement of product weaknesses and emphasis on strengths. This approach not only reduces dependency on extensive sentiment dictionaries but also offers high accuracy and applicability across various domains.

  • This study examines the morphological and expressive aspects of fashion and its connection to music at Korean music festivals. The research involves a theoretical review and a case study analyzing fashion and music at rock, EDM, hip-hop, and jazz festivals in Korea from 2019 to 2023. The process of selecting fashion cases was reviewed by experts in the field of fashion, and expert focus group interviews were used. The study found that while fashion and music differ in terms of their fundamental morphological components of sensory media, they share features in terms of sensory harmony between their components. In terms of expressive aspects of fashion, it was found that the subject and object of expression are the same for the artist and for the audience. Both music and fashion have sensory transmission and communication between the subject and the audience, and both transmit personal and social meaning. Using these commonalities as indicators of relevance, a relevance evaluation was conducted. As a result of the evaluation, popular music festival fashion and music were interpreted as having a high degree of relevance in terms of expressing emotions and tastes, providing a sense of belonging to a community, and conveying cultural meaning.

미래교육을 위한 상상력: Vygotsky의 이론 및 정서와의 관계를 중심으로 (An Imagination for Future of Education: Based on Vygotsky's Theory and Emotional Relation)

  • 이 연구는 Vygotsky를 바탕으로 상상력교육의 가능성을 확보하고 정서와의 관련성 속에서 그 교육적 의미를 탐색하는 데에 목적이 있다. 상상력은 창의력과 더불어 미래역량의 중요한 한 가지 요소이다. 그러나 상상력에 대한 교육의 개입에는 큰 딜레마가 있다. 상상력이 자연 발생적이며 따라서 아동에게 특화되어 있는 신비한 능력이라고 간주할 경우, 교육은 자연스러운 상상력이 발현되고 보전되도록 그 과정에 최대한 개입하지 않아야하기 때문이다. 이러한 생각에는 상상력을 아동기의 미발달된 사고과정과 연결시킨 Piaget의 영향이 자리 잡고 있다. 발달심리학자 Vygotsky는 인간정신에 대한 Piaget의 내재적 발생론에 대항하여 사회 문화적 발생론을 주장한다. 그는 창조를 통한 사회문화적 상호작용이 인간의 가장 큰 특성이며, 이 과정에 경험적 질료를 종합하여 새로운 이미지를 창출하는 '상상력'이 핵심적으로 관여한다고 보았다. 그는 상상력이 아동기에 국한되지 않고 문화적 경험에 따라 끊임없이 발달함을 밝혀냄으로써 상상력교육의 가능성과 중요성을 일깨워주었다. 특히 Vygotsky에게 창조적 상상력의 본질은 외적 생산보다는 인간의 정서를 표현하고 다루는 기능에 있으며 이는 미래교육에 중요한 의미를 가진다. 미래사회는 종전의 이성중심사회와 달리 지식과 도덕에서 감정의 요소가 부각되며 교육에서 정서와 깊은 관련을 가진 상상력의 역할을 요청하며 이에 적합한 교육적 개입을 요구한다.

캐릭터 배우의 '인물창조' 연구 - 영화 <공작>에서의 이성민의 '리명운' 성격구축을 중심으로 - (A 'Characterization' Study of a Character Actor - With a focus on the character building of Lee Sung-min's 'Ri Myung-un' in the film 'The Spy Gone North'-)

  • 본 논문은 '스타 페르소나(star persona)' 개념 중에서 '캐릭터 배우의 인물창조'에 관한 연구다. 2020년에 이루어진 '퍼스낼리티 배우(personality actor)의 인물창조(characterization)'에 관한 후속 연구다. 국내 배우 중에서 연기 스펙트럼이 넓고 매번 각기 다른 캐릭터 구현력이 뛰어난 캐릭터 배우로서 이성민을 선정했으며, 그의 2018년도 출연작인 영화 '공작'에서의 북한 고위 관료 '리명운' 역할을 토대로 캐릭터 배우의 인물창조 방법에 관해서 논의했다. 스타니슬라브스키는 성격구축, 즉 인물창조를 배우 예술의 최고봉이라고 주장했다. 그러나 이와 같은 성격 구현은 배우들에게 각고의 노력과 헌신을 요하는 작업이다. 배우 이성민은 '리명운'이라는 역할을 연기하기 위해서 북한 사투리를 연습했고, 여기에 엘리트의 말투를 가미했다. 극적 긴장감과 상황의 사실감을 극대화하기 위해서 인물들의 감정과 대사가 중심이 되는 인물 단독 숏 안에서 시선을 고정시키며, 한 호흡으로 대사를 내뱉으면서 극의 긴장감을 고조시키는 연기 방식을 구현했다. 콘티뉴이티와 앵글 또한, 인물의 성격구축과 정서, 감정 등을 표현하는데 매우 중요한 역할을 수행한다. 본 논문에서는 영화 '공작'에서 캐릭터 배우의 '리명운'의 성격구축 방법을 논의해보았다.

Analysis of Barrage Culture and User Analysis in New Media Content in the Chinese Market

  • Barrage is an interactive method based on video, and the video itself is visualized from the viewer's point of view to play people's emotions, and it already has an advantage in communication by attracting people's attention using stories and plays. Advances in digital and mobile technology have enabled video viewing anytime, anywhere. Due to the nature of the barrage site that relies on the same video content or playback to participate in video sharing through computers or mobile clients, a barrage that can express users' feelings and thoughts will be added, breaking down the limit of content acceptance by a single user. Barrage satisfy users' entertainment needs, and their influence is growing. Gradually, they are heading to offline movie theaters and TV from barrage videos on the Internet. Attempts to function as offline ammunition facilitated technological innovation for media convergence by converging mobile media with PCs and screens. At the same time, the trend of media convergence shown by coal screens is also a trend of overall technological development. A barrage is an extension of human communication skills. The properties of the barrage fit well with the need for experiential marketing (via video). It can provide a visual experience and create an atmosphere of "surrounding and watching" and eliminate loneliness. Barrage itself provides a function to comment on videos, which is a trigger point for the reason, and donation adds to the amount of information in the video, adding to the fun of the video. Through the barrage, sarcastic, teasing, and expressing emotions can bring entertainment experiences, and users can produce and communicate their shooting text while consuming the satisfaction brought by the shooting. At the same time, Barrage attaches great importance to the needs of the masses, is more individual and diversified, and has commercial significance in line with the current development trend of the Internet. As a new interactive method, barrage contains huge potential value. However, the impact of the interactive way of barrage should also be viewed from a dialectical point of view, how to solve the difficulties in the development of barrage. The way to solve the difficulties in the development of barrage is worth studying. This research will analyze the reasons for the development of barrage and the analysis of Chinese barrage websites, the case analysis of barrage videos, the exploration of the characteristics and values of barrage, and the problems in the process of barrage communication. Provide reference for the development of industrial culture.
