  • Recently, TTX(Tilting Train eXpress), EMU (Electric Multiple Unit) has operated test. Presently, electric problems(harmonic, voltage variation etc) of TTX are studying briskly. Henceforth, electrical harmonic study of TTX will operate on the rail actually is needed. In this paper, we detected electrical harmonic of operating TTX. In addition to we analyzed and estimated electrical harmonic regarding TTX's coasting, acceleration and braking state.

  • In this paper, control schemes are proposed for a propulsion system(Converter/Inverter) of the TTX(Tilting Train express). In developed traction converter, unity power factor control, compensation method of dc link voltage have been applied. Output current of converter contains harmonics ripple at twice input ac line frequency, which causes a ripple in the dc link voltage so that control scheme is developed in inverter system to reduce the pulsating torque current. At low speed region, vector control scheme is applied and slip frequency control is adopted at high speed region. The performance of propulsion system will be verified by simulation and prototype experimental results.

  • This paper proposes 210[kVA] rated SIV(Static Inverter) system for the TTX(Tilting Train eXpress). The SIV provides power of a fluorescent light in the car, Air-conditioner, and other equipments. To control output voltage it is used voltage control loop for constant voltage control and simultaneously used current control loop for instantaneous control at load changing. The performance of SIV system will be verified by simulation and experimental results.

  • 현재 기존선에 설치되어 있는 ATS 지상신호시스템은 고속화에 어려움이 있으며 만약 열차운행속도 180km/h급 틸팅차량이 안전하게 운행하고자 한다면, 첨단기술을 이용한 차상신호시스템이 도입이 필요하다. 지상신호시스템의 고속화 적용에 가장 큰 장애 요인으로 작용하는 기관사 시인성 연구 결과에서도 열차 운행속도 160km/h 까지는 가능하나 그 이상의 속도에서는 기관사의 피로도 및 오동작 확률이 높아지므로 기존선 고속화를 위해 신호시스템을 차상신호 시스템으로 개량하는 것이 적합한 것으로 알려져 있다. 본 논문은 최고운행속도 180km/h급 틸팅차량 TTX(Tilting Train eXpress)에 적합한 차상신호장치의 기본설계방안을 제시한다.

  • With the increase in population, the area of human activities has expanded, resulting in the dramatic increase in the need for transportation system. Tilting trains are currently in operation in 13 countries around the world. TTX(Tilting Train express) has been developed by KRRI(Korea Railroad Research Institute) for last 6 years to satisfy the need. This train developed in this Project is designed for a design speed of 200km/h and a maximum operating speed of 180km/h. We developed a measurement system for on-line test. the measurement console desk is mounted on T car, which is designed as the DAQ system train. It is comprehensive of the industrial computers, LCD monitors, communication cards and the communication channel measurement system. Using this system, SIV performance evaluation was conducted.

  • To past, from Seoul to Jinju it takes about six-hours by train or Expressway. An expressway between Daejeon and Jinju opens perfectly it 2001 November 29th After that time, The section that road traffic showed superiority to drive and express bus, and railroad traffic lost competitiveness, The section that train user decreases gives besides only one-time train is run day worked. This study comparative analysis calls various data about these sections, There is the Jinju or Gyeongsangnam-do western part and Gyeongnam-do northwestern part, Gyeongsangbuk-do southwestern part. I compete with a road traffic means as I am connected to the Central inland line railroad during a plan and to propose the guideline to use railroad more activity.

  • Tilting technology is to tilt the train on the curve in order to minimize centrifugal force to passengers and to improve the speed within the limits of passenger's comfort and safety. According to reports from other countries, there is 15~30% speed improvement compared to the conventional trains. Recently, the advent of World-Wide-Web(WWW) and the explosive popularity of the Internet gave birth to collaborative applications which were enabled by computers and networks as their primary media. The progress of 3D computer graphics enabled collaborative applications with 3D virtual environments or distributed virtual environments. In this paper, we explain our implementation of the Share collaboration engine which is for collaboration applications based on a distributed virtual environment. The Share collaboration engine proposes a new Share network architecture for management of participants, and it provides some synchronization methods for 3D objects in virtual collaboration. TTX_PDM is an experimental application that tries to prevent wastes of human, material and time resources in networked virtual collaboration.

  • Great impetus has come from the renewed emphasis on improving public transport in many countries. In Korea, built over 12 years at a cost of ${\$}12$ billion and modeled on the TGV of France, the Korea Train Express will open for regular traffic on April, 2004. The schematic design of terminal building for Kwang-Myeong station was chosen by the international competition in 1997. Mooyoung Architects and Engineers joined with AREP, French Architect awarded.

  • This study intended to identify the problems of the railroad which are raised as one of the 21C next-generation but to define the direction for the absence of the national policy and examine the competitiveness of railway transportation which is a Green Network with low environmental destruction and high energy efficiency as the continuable means of transportation for the 21st century with superiority to energy crisis caused by high oil price, conclusion of the Kyoto Protocol for worsened air pollution, and reduced cost of traffic jam.

  • 추진장치는 차량의 안전에 큰 영향을 주는 핵심 장치로 철도 선진국들은 이 장치의 크기 및 무게 저감, 스위칭 소음과 노이즈 저감 등에 대한 연구를 활발히 수행하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 한국형 틸팅열차용 주전력변환장치 역행시험결과를 통해 제작된 추진장치의 성능이 양호함을 확인하였다.
