Arguably the most important internet technology of today is RIA (rich internet application), whose prime advantage is in improving the user experience on the web. However, the scope and variety of the RIA technology demand an eclectic guideline to build the mathematical services such as mathematical text, graphs, and animations. This paper sorts out and simplifies the complicated roadmap of the RIA technologies by presenting three design patterns for exposing the functionality of the CAS (computer algebra system) with the web browser as the user interface platform.

This paper presents the Global van Hiele (GVH) questionnaire as a tool for mapping knowledge and understanding of plane and solid geometry. The questionnaire facilitates identification of the respondents' mastery of the first three levels of thinking according to van Hiele theory with regard to key geometrical topics. Teacher-educators can apply this questionnaire for checking preliminary knowledge of mathematics teaching candidates or pre-service teachers. Moreover, it can be used when planning a course or granting exemption from studying in basic geometry courses. The questionnaire can also serve high school mathematics teachers who are interested in exposing their students to multiple-choice questions in geometry.

Many countries have run their own certification systems in order to reduce the environmental loads from buildings. Domestically, various systems are applied according to building types from Building Energy Efficiency Rating System since 2001 to Green Home Construction Standard and Performance since 2009. However, these systems provide the applicants with confusion and waste by exposing them to several systems simultaneously, some of which are mandatory. Therefore, this study aims to ensure the flexibility among those systems and eliminate the possible waste by suggesting mutual accreditation method of evaluation results. To achieve this purpose, firstly, the thirteen similar evaluation items are identified between Housing Performance Grading Indication System and Green Building Rating System. Then, the mutual accreditation method is developed by comparing detailed evaluation criteria and credits for those thirteen items.

Recently, biometrics and location information are being used for authentication in many devices. However, these information are stored as plaintext in safe device or, stored as ciphertext in authentication server it is used for authentication in plaintext by decrypting. Therefore, the leakage of authentication information as well as hacking can cause fatal privacy problems. In this paper, we propose a technique that can be authenticated without exposing authentication information to ciphertext using function encryption.

Acrophobia is an abnormal fear of heights. Medications or cognitive-behavior methods have been mainly used as a treatment. Lately the virtual reality technology has been applied to that kind of anxiety disorders. A virtual environment provides patient with stimuli which arouses phobia, and exposing to that environment makes him having ability to over come the fear. In this study, the elevator stimulator that composed with a position sensor, head mount display, and audio system, is suggested. To illustrate the physiological difference between a person who has a feel of phobia and without phobia, heart rate was measured during experiment. And also measured a person's HR after the virtual reality training and in a real building elevator. In this study, we demonstrated the subjective effectiveness of virtual reality psychotherapy through the clinical experiment.

Enforcing germination to the premature seed green vernalization under constant vitalux-A illumination and exposing to higher room temperature during ripening stage, were successively applied during wheat and barley raising for the sake of the accelerating generation advancement in greenhouse. By application of this method, the winter habit variety 'Buheung' required only 77 days for 1 generation and could raise 4.5 generations during one year. one year.

Fungal biomass and fungal extract of the nonpathogenic fungus Neurospora crassa were successfully used as reducing agents for the biosynthesis of platinum nanoparticles (PtNPs). The experiment was carried out by exposing the fungal biomass or the fungal extract to a 0.001 M precursor solution of hexachloroplatinic(IV) acid ($H_2PtCl_6$). A change of color of the biomass from pale yellow to dark brown was the first indication of possible formation of PtNPs by the fungus. Subsequent analyses confirmed the intracellular biosynthesis of single PtNPs (4-35 nm in diameter) and spherical nanoaggregates (20-110 nm in diameter). Using the fungal extract, similar results were obtained, producing rounded nanoaggregates of Pt single crystals in the range of 17-76 nm.

The wall-thickness of insulated pipelines can be easily evaluated by measuring the gamma-ray transmission intensity because this intensity is inversely proportional to the thickness of insulated pipeline. The main purpose of this study is to develop the nondestructive and filmless on-line inspection system of corrosion by measuring the wall thickness of insulated pipeline. The inspection system is constructed with radioisotope, 64 channel photo diode array detector, crawler system and data taking and operating software. The traditional off-line radiographic method carried out by exposing film cassettes can be replaced by this cost-effective on-line digital imaging method and the application will be greatly expected especially in the chemical and petrochemical industries.

As the Internet use has been spreading worldwide, illegal and harmful contents have been increasing on the Internet, which has become a very serious social problem. To prevent children form exposing themselves to such illegal and harmful contents on the Internet, harmful information protection systems have been developed. We examine component technologies of harmful information protection systems including text and image-based filtering solutions as well as url-based filtering solution. Also we examine the related trends and strategies which effectively prevent access to the harmful contents.

Acoustic microscopy and scanning electron microscopy were applied to non-destructively evaluate the hydrogen-induced cracking of API X-80 steels and to find the initiation time of the crack. The API X-80 steel had the average grain size of about $4-10{\mu}m$. The hardness was reduced from 240 to 202 [Hv] after exposing in HIC environment for 2-days. Friction coefficient and wear loss were 0.745 and 0.392 mm, respectively. Empirical equation of corrosion potential and corrosion rate of the steel with HIC time in $5%NaCl-0.5%CH_3COOH$ at $25^{\circ}C$ were $Eh\;(up)=0.06^*t[day]+0.2951$, $Eh(down)=0.376^*t[day]+0.5938$, respectively. HIC grew with micro-size after 1-day exposure. The HIC tended to propagate on the surface with Al, Si, Ti, and Mn.
