A Primitive Model of An Expert Training Model

  • The field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is growing, and many firms are investing in expert system, one of AI's subfields. An expert system is defined as a computer program designed to replicate some aspect of the decision making of one or more experts and to be used by nonexperts. The kernel of an expert system is the knowledge base, which consists of the facts and rules that represent the expert's knowledge. Firms need expert systems for training employees to provide competitive advantage. This paper describes the model of an instructional expert training system which interfaces to external programs, such as an ASCII file, a work-sheet program, and a database program. A model for such an expert training system, and its prototype have been developed to demonstrate its functionality. A modular knowledge base has been developed and implemented in support of this study. The modularized knowledge base offers the user an easy and quick maintenance of facts and rules, which are frequently required to change in future.

지식분석도를 이용한 지식기반 웹 사이트 자동 생성 도구의 개발 (Development of an Automatic Generation and Management Tool for Web-based Inference Sites)

  • Most of existing expert systems developed for Web use CGI-based techniques and this frequently makes them suffer from the overburden of commercial Web servers, which deal with large-scale services. However, since HTML-based inference technique represents expert's knowledge by hyperlinks among HTML documents, the hypertext function of the Web can perform the inference efficiently in terms of time and space without the help of additional inference engines. In spite of such benefits, when the expert's knowledge is relatively large and/or complicated, the HTML-based inference technique has usually become to have a hard time of dealing with a lot of HTML documents because generation and management tasks of the numerous HTML documents would cause big trouble to the knowledge engineer. To resolve this problem, we developed an automatic generation and management tool for Web-based inference sites, called WeBIS. With this tool, a knowledge engineer can input and edit expert's knowledge using Expert's Diagram on the GUI(Graphical User Interface) environment and automatically generate hyper-linked HTML documents for Web-based inference from the Expert's Diagram.

온라인 공간에서의 문제해결: 전문가 지식 네트워크에 관한 사례연구 (Investigation Problem-Solving in Virtual Spaces: The Knowledge Network of Experts)

  • Owing to the limits of IT System-driven knowledge management(KM) for innovation processes, alternative KM methods has been suggested such as: (1) the knowledge network of experts or (2) communities-of-practice. This study analyzes two cases in terms of on-line expert knowledge networks for problem-solving, with the dimensions of analysis based on a theoretical framework. By analyzing the cases of S company's expert network and Naver's Ji-sik-iN, we found that system quality(e.g., ease of use, accessibility, and searching function), information/knowledge quality(e.g., usefulness, accuracy, and timeliness), knowledge-sharing culture, social capital and relevant reward systems are important for stimulating a Q&A-based problem-solving knowledge network. Implications of the findings and future research directions are discussed.

  • Grinding is used for machining high precision parts with high additional value. However, the grinding operation needs high skill and long experience of an operator because of a lack of the scientific knowledge and engineering principles. Also, the wheel and grinding conditions affect grinding results. For these reasons, it is difficult to construct computer integrated manufacturing system(CIMA). Therefore, it is necessary for Expert System to be informed of qualitative knowledge of grinding expert's skills and experiences. In this research, the Grinding Expert System is constructed by Fuzzy Decision Making Algorithm. Using this system, unskilled workers will be able to use the knowledge and experience of an expert.

  • 과학기술 전문가 커뮤니티로서 가장 성공적인 모델인 '한민족과학기술자네트워크(이하 KOSEN)'를 대상으로 정책 네트워크의 분석방법을 이용하여 네트워크가 갖는 고유의 특성을 유형별로 분석해 보고자 한다. 과학기술 전문인력을 대상으로 하는 KOSEN을 사례로 정책 네트워크 분석을 적용, 지식전문가 네트워크의 유형을 구분해 보았다. KOSEN에 대한 개괄적인 특성분석과 더불어 참여자의 특성에 따라 전문가 그룹 네트워크를 정책공동체의 핵심 및 주변공동체와 이슈 네트워크로 세분화했다. 정책 네트워크의 분석수준과 관련하여 본 연구는 네트워크의 속성을 개인의 행위로 환원시켜서 이해하는 미시적 접근에 초점을 두었다.

  • 미술진단을 위한 전문가 시스템에는 (1)그림의 특징 (2) 환자의 심리증상 (3)그림 특징과 환자 심리증상 간의 관계 (4) 전문가의 진단과정 (5)지식의 표출 및 표현 방법 둥 다양한 분야에서 광범위한 지식이 필요하다. 이 지식들은 현장의 그림진단 치료사와 함께, 심리학자, 심리치료사, 그리고 미술진단을 컴퓨터에 구현할 지식공학자들로부터 얻어진다. 전문가는 다양한 요인들을 복합적으로 고려하는 매우 복잡한 진단과정을 거치며, 관련되는 방대한 지식들은 성격상 모호하고, 일관성이 부족하며, 때에 따라서는 상충적이기도 하다. 이 논문에서는 전문가의 진단과정을 모델링하여, 전문가 시스템의 구조를 설립하고, 지식들을 분석하여 분류한다. 분류에 따라 지식 획득과 표현에 적합한 방법을 선정하며, 온톨로지(ontoloty) 개념에 의한 프로티지(Protege) 2000을 도구로 사용하여 이 지식들을 체계적으로 정리한다. 실제 예제를 통하여 이 시스템의 사용가능성과 적합성을 보인다.

A knowledge Conversion Tool for Expert Systems

  • Most of expert systems use the text-oriented knowledge bases. However, knowledge management using the knowledge bases is considered as a huge burden to the knowledge workers because it includes some troublesome works. It includes chasing and/or checking activities on Consistency, Redundancy, Circulation, and Refinement of the knowledge. In those cases, we consider that they could reduce the burdens by using relational database management systems-based knowledge management infrastructure and convert the knowledge into one of easy forms human can understand. Furthermore they could concentrate on the knowledge itself with the support of the systems. To meet the expectations, in this study, we have tried to develop a general-purposed knowledge conversion tool for expert systems. Especially, this study is focused on the knowledge conversions among text-oriented knowledge base, relational database knowledge base, and decision tree.

지식관리시스템을 위한 FAH 기반 전문가 검색 방법론 (FAH-Based Expert Search Framework for Knowledge Management Systems)

  • In Knowledge Management Systems (KMS), tacit knowledge which is usually possessed as forms like know-how, experiences, and etc. is hard to be systemized while managing explicit knowledge is comparatively easy using information technology such as databases, Recent researches in knowledge management have shown that it is more applicable in many ways to provide expert search mechanisms in KMS to pinpoint experts in the organizations with searched expertise so that users can contact them for help, In this paper, we propose an intelligent expert search framework to provide search capabilities for experts in similar or related fields according to the user's needs. In enabling intelligent expert searches, Fuzzy Abstraction Hierarchy (FAH) framework has been adopted, through' which finding experts with similar or related expertise is possible according to the subject field hierarchy defined in the system. To test applicability and practicality of the proposed framework, the prototype system, Knowledge Portal for Researchers in Science and Technology, was developed.

  • The roof crane system is used for transporting a variable load to a target position. At this time, the goal of crane system is transporting to a goal position as soon as possible with no rope oscillation. Generally crane is operated by expert's knowledge, but recently automatic control with high speed and rapid transportation is required. In this thesis we developed fuzzy controller of crane which has simplified expert's knowledge base for anti-swing and rapid tansportation to goal position.

  • 초고층 건축물은 층수의 증가에 비해서 공기의 증가가 작기 때문에 공기초과가 발생하기 쉽다. 최근 초고층 프로젝트의 증가에 따라 공정계획의 중요성이 증대되고 있으며 공정관리를 개선하기 위해서 공정계획 소프트웨어의 도입과 교육이 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 하지만 공정계획의 많은 부분은 아직도 계획자의 경험에 크게 의존하고 있다. 따라서 새로운 자재, 장비 및 공법이 도입되는 초고층 프로젝트는 공정 계획자의 경험이 부족할 경우, 경험 미숙으로 인한 공기초과가 발생하기 쉽다. 공정 계획자의 경험 미숙으로 인한 공정계획의 편차를 줄이기 위한 방안으로 본 연구에서는 전문가의 경험적 지식을 초고층 공정계획 작성에 활용하는 방안을 제안하였다. 사례연구에서는 초고층 골조공종을 대상으로 하여 본 연구에서 제안한 초고층 공정계획 지원시스템의 지식획득과 지식활용방안을 고찰하였다. 본 연구에서 제안한 지식획득과 지식활용을 토대로 초고층 공정계획 지원시스템을 구축하여 활용한다면 초고층 공정계획의 정확성을 높일 수 있으며 공기초과를 예방할 수 있을 것이다.
