유아기 자녀를 둔 아버지의 원가족 경험과 어머니의 양육스트레스: 아버지의 양육참여의 매개효과 검증 (Experiences in the Family of Origin with Fathers and Parenting Stress of Mothers: Significance Test of Mediating Effects by Parenting Participation of Fathers)

  • This study is to examine the relationships between experiences in the family of origin with fathers, parenting participation of fathers, and parenting stress of mothers. The subjects in this study consisted of 203 couples with children of ages 3, 4, and5 attending child care centers in the Gyeong-gi province. The results of this research are summarized as follows. First, experiences in the family of origin with fathers, have meaningful correlations with parenting participation of fathers and parenting stress of mothers. Also, parenting participation of fathers has meaningful correlations with parenting stress of mothers. Second, experiences in the family of origin with fathers have direct/indirect influence on parenting stress of mothers and parenting participation of fathers played a mediating role between the two variables. It is significant that these results give the basic research data for developing aparental education program that can lower parenting stress of mothers by parenting participation of fathers.

청소년의 보호 요인과 위험 요인이 비행과 공격성에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Protective and Risk Factors on Juvenile Delinquency and Aggression)

  • The purpose of this study was to explore the general tendencies of major variables and sex differences and to analyze the variables that affect delinquency and aggression. The protective factors considered in this study included parental education participation, parental supervision, and peer attachment, and the risk factors were academic stress and delinquency experiences of peers. The main results of this study are as follows: firstly, academic stress and parental education participation was slightly low, but parental supervision was high. Further, peer attachment showed a very high score. Delinquency experiences of peers, delinquency, and aggression of adolescents were extremely low. Secondly, the correlation of parental education participation, parental supervision, and peer attachment was negatively related to adolescent delinquency, but the delinquency experiences of peers were positively related to adolescent delinquency. The same results were obtained in the case of adolescent aggression. Further, academic stress was negatively related to adolescent aggression. Finally, hierarchical regression revealed that the variables explaining the juvenile delinquency were parental education participation, peer attachment, and delinquency experiences of peers. Adolescent aggression was explained by sex, academic stress, parental education participation, and the delinquency experiences of peers. In particular, more attention is needed for girls. Various interventions should be provided to prevent problem behaviors.

취업 부모의 학교참여 경험 및 학교참여휴가제에 대한 요구 (Experiences of School Participation and the Need for School-Participation Leave for Employed Parents)

  • This study attempted to investigate school participation experiences and the need for a school-participation leave for employed parents. A school participation leave is a paid or unpaid leave that guarantees workers to take time-off for school participation regarding children's educational purposes. We reviewed cases of school participation in other countries. There are similar types of educational leave in Russia, Greece, Italia, Sweden, Swaziland, and South Africa. We collected survey data from 1,194 employed parents (794 fathers and 400 mothers) whose children attend kindergarten, elementary, middle, or high-school. This study compares school participation experiences and needs by parent gender. The results showed that 62 % of the fathers and 80 % of the mothers participated in any type of school meetings and events at least once in the previous year. Fathers attended school events such as art festivals and mothers attended PTA meetings, school events, and parent-teacher conferences. The most frequently mentioned reason for non-participation among parents was related to work. A total of 87.7% of the parents agreed that a school-participation leave should be introduced. The results of the logistic regression showed that mothers compared to fathers, college graduates compared to post-secondary graduates, those whose children attended preschool or elementary school compared to high school, and those who had longer working hours were more likely to agree on the introduction of school participation leave. In conclusion, a policy intervention such as school-participation leave should be considered to provide employed parents time to be involved in their children's education and participate in school activities.

귀농·귀촌인의 갈등경험이 주민관계, 이주 만족도, 지역사회 참여에 미치는 영향 - 경상남도 의령군 귀농·귀촌인을 대상으로 - (The Effect of Conflict Experiences of Those Who Returned to Farming and Country Affected the Relation with Residents, Satisfaction of Movement and Community Participation Rate - The Case of Returned to Farming and Country of Uiryeong-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do -)

  • This study was conducted to understand how the conflict experiences of those who returned to farming and country affected the relation with residents, satisfaction of movement, and participation rate in the community with 961 subjects that returned to farming and country in Uiryeong-gun. The study results are as follows. First, 15.6% of them experienced the conflicts with original residents. Second, there were differences in experiencing conflicts by the type of movement. Those who returned to farming and country from urban areas showed more experiences of conflicts with original residents than those from Uiryeong or rural areas. Therefore, it is necessary to educate those from urban areas on the detailed conflict cases and countermeasures against the conflicts. Third, those who returned to farming and country with conflict experiences showed more negative perception on the relation with residents, and lower satisfaction level on their returning. Fourth, negative correlation was found between conflict experiences and relation with residents, demonstrating lower satisfaction on the returning and participation in the community as they perceived the relation with residents more negatively. These study results can be utilized as the basic data to establish the future policies on the supports for settlement of returning to farming and country.

전국체육대회에 참가하는 재외동포들의 이주세대 간 지각된 참가 경험 및 하위문화정체성의 차이 (The Difference of Perceived Experiences and Sub-cultural Identity between Overseas Korean' Generations through the Participation in the Korean National Sports Festival)

  • 이 연구는 전국체육대회에 참가하는 재외동포의 이주세대에 따라 인지하는 참가경험과 하위문화정체성에 차이가 있는가를 실증적으로 구명하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위해서 2015년 전국체육대회에 참가한 14개국 360명의 자료를 분석에 이용하였다. 자료분석은 SPSS 21.0버전을 이용해 이주세대간 인지된 참가경험과 하위문화정체성의 차이를 검증하기 위해서 일원변량분석을 실시하였으며, 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 첫째, 전국체육대회에 참가하는 재외동포들은 이주세대별로 인지하는 참가경험에 차이가 있다. 즉, 외국에서 태어나고 성장한 2세대들의 경우 이주를 결정한 1세대나 대한민국에서 태어나 외국에서 성장한 1.5세대들보다 전국체육대회의 참가경험을 차별보다는 이익이 되는 경험으로 인식하고 있다. 둘째, 전국체육대회에 참가하는 재외동포들의 이주세대에 따라 하위문화정체성을 다르게 교섭하고 있다. 즉, 대한민국에서 태어나 외국에서 성장한 1.5세대들이 한국인이나 한국문화에 가장 가까운 정체성 교섭을 한다.

서비스의 고객 참여와 고객 경험을 반영한 서비스스케이프의 역할 : 테마파크서비스를 중심으로 (The Role of Servicescape Considering the Customer's Participation and Customer Experience : Focusing on Theme Park Service)

  • In this study, the structure model including the role of servicescape focusing on service participation and customer experience in theme park service is demonstrated empirically. The servicescape construct of theme park service includes three factors such as ambient atmosphere, functionality and layout, and sign, symbols etc. Customer service participation includes suggestion, passion and citizenship. And the emotional and convenience factors are included to customer experience. As an analysis result of examining the 241 respondents of university students, some implications were described. Customer satisfaction is greatly influenced by customer's participation in theme park service, and customer's participation has a significant effect on improving customer satisfaction by inducing customer experiences. It is desirable to consider servicescape priority in order of signs and symbols, ambient atmosphere, functionality and layout factor. The customer's participation in service is a passion for participation, citizenship, and suggesting for problems or improvements. Therefore, participants in planning and designing servicescape in the future, including IT services, should be creative in the direction of inducing various participations of customers and creating positive experiences for customers. In order to apply these findings to the composition of servicescape, the participation of various experts is required. Also, the expertise and competences of various fields must be gathered for each issues, and a more creative and scientific approach is required.

Teachers' Research Experiences in Labs and Fields

  • This study intended to find evidence of changes in teacher beliefs of teaching and learning and a case of infusing research experiences in teaching modules since their research participation. As part of this study, twenty three science and math teachers in Korea were provided with science research labs and field experiences in the University of Iowa for three weeks. The research units that teachers participated in for three weeks covered seven fields of subjects such as: geology, astronomy, chemistry, physics, mathematics, computer science, and environmental engineering. In the course of this study, the effectiveness of science research participation program was explored in terms of changing teacher beliefs and their production of teaching modules based on their research. This study especially focused on identifying changes of beliefs on science teaching and learning after participating in the research. A case study of a participant teacher was also conducted by comparing descriptively teaching modules before and after experiencing the program. It was found that the program affected the new modules and the research experiences affected participants' beliefs toward student centeredness.

도시농업 참여 의도에 영향을 미치는 요인 - 가구 구성의 조절 효과 - (Factors Influencing Participation Intention in Urban Agriculture - Moderating Effects of Household Type -)

  • This study was conducted to analyze the factors influencing participation intention in urban agriculture. The theoretical foundations of the study were Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) and Pine and Gilmore's Experiencel Economy. The type of household composition was set as the moderating variable between these independent and dependent variables. In order to test the research model, hierarchical regression analysis was conducted on 439 effective respondents. The empirical analysis results are as follows. Educational experience factors, escapist experience factors, attitudes, subjective norm, and perceived behavioral control, which were set as independent variables to positive (+) influence participation intention in urban agriculture. In addition, the impact of their influence relationship was as follows : perceived behavioral control > attitudes > escapist experience factor > subjective norm > educational experience factor. On the other hand, as a result of analyzing the moderating effect according to the household composition, there was a significant difference in the effect of educational experiences, escapist experiences, and subjective norm on participation intention in urban agriculture. Significant results were not tested on the moderating effects between attitudes, perceived behavioral control, and participation intention in urban agriculture. Based on the results of this empirical analysis, academic and practical implications were presented.

아버지교육 참여자 경험을 통해 살펴본 아버지교육의 의미 (The Meaning of Father's Participation Experiences in the Educational Program for Fathers)

  • 본 연구는 아버지들의 아버지교육 참여 경험을 탐색해 봄으로써 아버지교육의 참여 의미와 효과를 파악해보고자 하였다. 본 연구의 목적을 위해 아버지교육 참여 경험이 있고, 교육 참여에 적극적이며, 아동기와 청소년기 자녀를 둔 아버지 3명을 연구참여자로 선정하였다. 연구 자료는 연구참여자를 심층 면접하여 수집되었고 면접내용을 녹음한 후 전사하여 분석하였다. 본 연구에서 나타난 결과를 요약하고 논의하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 아버지들의 내면에는 좋은 아버지가 되고 싶은 마음, 아버지 역할에 대한 고민이 자리하고 있었지만 수동적인 아버지 역할을 하고 있었다. 둘째, 아버지들은 교육 참여가 자신을 돌아보게 하고 자녀와의 관계, 배우자와의 관계를 개선하기 위해 노력하게 된 계기가 되었다고 하였다. 셋째, 아버지들은 현실적 여건상 교육 참여에 어려움을 느끼고 있었고 교육에 참여할 수 있는 기회와 여건을 마련해주고 아버지들의 상황에 맞고 현실에서 실천할 수 있는 교육내용과 방법으로 아버지교육이 이루어지길 희망하였다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 아버지 교육을 활성화 할 수 있는 방안을 제안하였다.

동아시아 청소년의 시민참여 영향요인 비교 분석 (Comparative Analysis of the Factors Affecting on Youth's Civic Participation in the East Asian Countries)

  • 본 연구는 한국, 홍콩, 대만 등 동아시아 3개국 청소년의 시민참여에 영향을 미치는 개인배경, 교육경험, 사회인식 요인들을 분석하고, 한국 청소년의 시민참여를 독려하기 위한 교육적 시사점을 도출하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위하여 2018년에 공개된 국제시민교육연구(ICCS) 2016 데이터를 활용하여 동아시아 청소년의 현재 시민참여와 미래 성인기의 시민참여 및 17개 영향요인들의 영향력을 실증하였다. 분석결과, 청소년 시민참여에 영향을 미치는 요인은 국가별로 다르게 나타났고, 동일국가 내에서도 현재 시민참여와 미래 시민참여에의 영향요인이 다름을 확인하였다. 첫째, 한국 청소년은 부모의 시민적 자원은 높은 수준이었지만 학교에서의 시민교육 경험은 상대적으로 낮았고, 대만 청소년은 국민정체성이 비교적 높았다. 둘째, 시민참여에 영향을 미치는 요인들은 개인 배경보다는 학교 밖에서의 경험이 더 많은 영향을 미쳤는데, 3개국 모두 대중매체의 영향력이 유의하게 나타났다. 셋째, 학교에서의 비교과 문화체험의 중요성이 확인되었는데, 특히 미래 성인기에서의 시민참여에 있어 비교과 문화체험의 영향력이 높게 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 본 연구는 시민참여를 독려하기 위해서는 학교에서 시민교육 기회를 확대할 뿐만 아니라 다양한 체험활동을 제공할 필요가 있음을 제안하였다.
