  • Since 2017, the application of VR technology in the game field has become more and more extensive, and more and more scholars have conducted research on VR games, especially VR horror games. This article will conduct research on VR horror games and scrolling scroll games through comparative analysis, and believes that VR horror games are much stronger than side scrolling scrolling games in terms of immersion. However, due to its unique flat third-person perspective, completely different operation methods and the existence of 'the fourth wall in side-scrolling horror games, Players can clearly realize that they are in an absolutely safe environment, and that they are just manipulators of game characters, not experiencers of terrorist events, so players will not receive excessive fright. Therefore, this article believes that the number of players who like side-scrolling horror games with certain horror elements is greater than the number of players who like pure VR horror games. Many traditional games in this paper have their own advantages in many aspects. For example, many traditional games such as horizontal games also have good development prospects in the future. We should promote the research on games in the academic community from multiple angles, not limited to popular VR games.

  • FPS Games are usually centered on a combat game play where the player plays through a first-person perspective as the in-game character, in order to strike the opponent in accordance with each level's objective. In such type of game play, the decision making that leads the player to take certain actions is carried out based on the player's visual cognitive information, and information collected both directly/indirectly via previous game play experiences. Particularly in the case of a FPS game where the mutual interaction between the player and each game level is the key, an analysis of a FPS game player's visual cognitive information can provide intelligence which can help design or adjust structures of a game level. For this thesis, a sample group has been collected and divided into a novice group and an expert group based on their level of experience with FPS games. Then, using eye-tracking equipments, the point of gaze of players in each group were recorded whilst they were playing levels of a well-known FPS title. The point of gaze in the moment the player starts to take actions -right before/after the start of a combat- was recorded in 500 play videos, and as a result each group's intrinsic pattern of gaze could be identified. Through these results, the author plans to develop a methodology that can enhance the difficulty setting and the playability of FPS game levels.

  • In this paper, I analyze the success factors of the mobile game "Marble for Kakao", and propose the factors that should be emphasized when converting the board game to digital. has converted to digital game using board game widely known in Korea. At this time, it differs from the existing , reducing the time required to play the game once, allowing the user to concentrate for a short period of time by giving a visual expression, and to repeatedly play the game several times. It also allows users to experience a variety of maps and character enhancement systems so that they can continue to be interested. Thus, Marble for Kakao has optimized the digital environment, not digitally portraying existing board games.

  • Education of 'Law and Order' is necessary in our recent society. However it is so difficult subject for students in the elementary schools to be learned efficiently. In this research, we have studied how to utilize the game as an educational contents with good effects of the game. And we have designed a game in which children could experience various situations where they had to make decisions based on proper law and order. Parents were also encouraged to participate and play along the game with role balances as mentors to their children. The effectiveness was tested with experience of the developed prototype game and questions. Through the study we expect and hope to use games as effective learning tools for children in the future.

  • Objective: This study was conducted in order to explore the predictive model of the experience of harmful shops in middle and high school students. Methods: The survey was conducted using a self-administered questionnaire method online via the homepage of the education ministry's student health information center. Participants were 1,888 middle school students and 1,563 high school students from 107 schools in Korea. The collected data were processed using the SPSS classification trees 18.0 program and examined using data mining decision tree model. Results: In this study, 6.9% of all subjects were found to have been to sex industry harmful place and 81.8% game place. The results revealed that smoking, living with parents, and school grade were significant predictors for experience of sex industry harmful place. The perception of study disrupts, drinking, living with parents, stress, and satisfaction of school life were significant predictors for experience of game harmful place. Conclusions: These results suggest that an educational approach should be developed by tailored conditions to prevent the access to harmful shops.

  • In games, immersion is the most important factor that makes the player play game continuously. The user's inability to immerse in game makes him/her not interested in game, so it makes the user give up. So, we must perceive the immersion factor that the games have. By applying the factors that causes immersion to the game development, we will be able to multiply the joy of game to the user, and bring high profit to the game developing enterprises. To this, this study finds out the interrelations between the factor of immersion existing inside the game and the components of the game to experience the highest immersion status to the user.

  • With the rapid adoption of 5G, the gaming industry has undergone significant innovation, with the quality of game content and player experience becoming the focal point of attention. ZBrush, as a professional digital sculpting software, plays a crucial role in the production of 3D game models. In this paper, we explore the application methods and techniques of ZBrush in game weapons production through specific case analyses. We provide a detailed analysis of two game weapon models, discussing the design and modeling process, lowto-high poly conversion, UV unwrapping and texture baking, material texture creation and optimization, and final rendering. By comparing the production process and analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of ZBrush, we establish a theoretical foundation for further design research and provide reference materials for game industry professionals, aiming to achieve higher quality and efficiency in 3D game model production.

  • This study has made an in-depth analysis of the 'Puzzle System' which is a characteristic structural unit of the Adventure Game, and concentrates on the mechanism where the experience arouses in the player a 'desire (quasi-need) to finish' that leads to one's immersion and engagement in the game. In the course of conducting this study, documentary records were consulted and also this writer personally played video games to learn the component elements and fundamental characteristics of the Adventure Games and to experience how the player was immersed in the game. Thus, the Puzzle System in the Adventure Game was defined and an analysis was made of the structure and course of play where the puzzle part and the narrative part within the system organically interacted between them in the system. In order to confirm the formation and effects of 'desire to finish' shown in the hypothetic assumptions, two experiment-purpose game units were produced, one with dramatic cut scenes and the other without them, so that differences between them could be found. I also conducted an experiment to learn the generation and effect of the 'desire to finish' of the Puzzle elements by using different games with a varying degree of difficulty.
